Chapter 4
Next day people enjoyed the festival and many people spent time together. "How are you Korra?" asked Mako, when the couple was hanging out next to one of the games. Korra lifted the water pistol and shot the water, quickly earning a prize.
"I am unsure. It hurts me to see my dad and my uncle dislike each other. I know that my uncle wants to go against wishes of many people here but the spirits," paused Korra, "what do you think Mako, what should I do?"
"Whatever you decide, I would support you," suggested Mako
Korra glared. "As if that's helpful," spoke Korra as she prepared to leave the scene.
Korra stopped when the two benders saw a strange sight in front of them. Bolin was carrying a carriage, where both Desna and Eska sat. When he arrived to their destination, Bolin stopped, formed a stone ladder, and helped the two to exit the carriage.
"Boyfriend, I will see you later. I hope you will behave," spoke Eska as the twins left. Bolin felt uneasy before seeing his friends.
"Mako! Korra!" cried Bolin as he ran towards them.
"Is everything alright Bolin? It seems you have relationship issues," spoke Mako
"Issues? You think? Please help me Mako! Eska is crazy! What shall I do?" asked Bolin
"How am I supposed to know?"
"Well, you are an expert at breaking girls' hearts," replied Bolin
"I, I rather not," began Mako as Korra looked at him.
"I so want t hear this," smiled Korra cheekily as she looked at the two brothers.
"Well, I don't know. I guess it's like pulling a blood sucking leech, you just need to pull it off and get rid of it," answered Mako
"Thank you, thank you, thank you, I knew I could ask you for advice, now I will need to tell Eska something," spoke Bolin as he walked away.
"Blood sucking leech? I know you don't like Asami that way anymore, but a blood-sucking leech? Spirits Mako, I did not know you could be that insensitive," spoke Korra
"What? What should I have told Bolin?"
"You know what? Nevermind, I was about to leave anyway. Good luck with explaining that to Asami," spoke Korra as she left the festival.
Korra journeyed to the house Asami and her family was staying. When she arrived, she saw that Asami was sparring with Anna. Asami was teaching the younger woman various fighting techniques.
"O, hey Korra. How was the festival? I decided that I would rather stay home, as the festival had many young couples, and I," paused Asami, "So I stayed, and after Anna returned here with Kristoff I decided to spar with her, while Kristoff went to hang out with his reindeer,"
Korra smiled. "Well, I saw that Bolin is unhappy with Eska. He asked Mako for advice as apparently he is an expert at breaking girls' hearts,"
"Mako is what expert?" quickly spoke Anna, "And I thought Makorra is a nice pairing. Not anymore!" spoke Anna quickly before going to change clothes, as she was sweating.
"And what did our detective said?" smiled Asami
"He basically compared you to a blood sucking leech," spoke Korra
"He what?" glared Asami
"I am so sorry, I did not mean to call you that," quickly replied Korra
"Don't worry, I am not angry at you. My ex on the other hand," smiled Asami as she put on her Equalist glove.
"Asami, where are you going?" asked Anna
"I am going to have a little chat with my ex, who called me a blood sucking leech," spoke Asami
"I am coming with you cousin," spoke Anna, as she joined Asami.
"While you two will be chasing Mako, I need to speak with my father. He is going to have a meeting soon," spoke Korra as she home.
When Korra arrived, she saw that a group of people assembled in Tonraq's house. Elsa and Varrick were present among the guests. "I am telling you, this Unalaq is pure evil. First he will unite the two tribes, then pass strict unfriendly laws," spoke Varrick.
"What are you saying Varrick?" asked Tonraq
"Unalaq already threw the chieftains from the palace. Soon he will even tell us what cookies we should eat! Not to mention, I have a whole ship of fish that I need to sell and due to the blockade I cannot do that," screamed Varrick as he accidentally broke a plate.
"But my uncle wants to unite the two tribes. He also does not want the spirits and humans to live in harmony," spoke Korra, defending her uncle.
"While I understand those points, I strongly disagree with Chief Unalaq's foreign policy. I am a Queen of Arendale, and Unalaq's forces took over my kingdom. While his intentions might be good, what he is doing is wrong. We should talk about this diplomatically, and if necessary, ask other nations to help negotiate the conflict," suggested Elsa as she stood up.
"See, even this young Queenie understands my concerns. You are right girly about Unalaq, but there can be only one way to resolve this conflict," spoke Varrick.
Elsa walked towards Varrick; ice began forming around the man. "Do not call that," glared Elsa, as Varrick looked at Elsa straight in the eyes.
"Hey, I did not mean to insult you. Point is, I agree with some of your suggestions," replied Varrick as Elsa glared at him, before sitting down.
" I agree with Queen Elsa. We can still pursue a diplomatic solution," spoke Tonraq
"A diplomatic solution? We all know where this conflict is heading. There will be a Water Tribe Civil War," spoke Varrick.
"I hate to admit, but I have to agree with Varrick on this one. Unalaq did actually invade my Kingdom. I don't know about the laws of the Southern Water Tribe, but Arendale and the North are currently at war. I will strive for a diplomatic solution, but if war would be the only option, Unalaq will see just why they call me the Snow Queen," spoke Elsa as most of the house instantly froze, before thawing quickly.
"Alright, so it is clear that war is on the horizon. Still, don't do anything impulsive," spoke Tonraq.
Korra sighed and stood up before exiting the house. "Korra, I am sorry we had a disagreement, but Unalaq invaded my country and I have to do something," spoke Elsa
"I understand. As the Avatar, I will try to be the neutral party in this conflict, hoping to get the best possible outcome," spoke Korra
"Thank you. I am sorry that yesterday ended the way it did, I hope we could become friends," spoke Elsa
"You know, when I met Asami I was jealous of her, I did not like her. But now she is my friend. I am sure I would become your friend as well," smiled Korra as the two friends looked at a person screaming nearby.
"Asami, I am sorry!" shouted Mako as Asami was running after him with her glove. Anna was running next to her cousin.
"What did I miss?" asked Elsa
"Asami, you are not a blood sucking leech," shouted Mako again, as both Elsa and Korra laughed.
A/N: next chapter will feature Civil Wars part 2. Korra will see that Unalaq is actually her enemy. The Team Avatar then will return to the Republic City, where I plan for Elsa, Anna, and Kristoff to help Korra, especially Elsa. Regarding Mako, Civil Wars Part 1 showed him to be rather insensitive towards Asami, while he became more likable at the end; him being the only member of Krew left single is pure Karma.
