Hey guys! Sorry it's been so long. I'd like to apologize, however, as I re-read what I have written so far. There are a couple mistakes in my previous writing with misspelled words (mostly from not paying attention and being too lazy to use spell check) and some parts that may have been confusing. This is due to my own confusion, and I apologize. So I'd like to clear it up a bit! The coronation isn't until after Angela becomes of age, but the "Coronation Day" thing is more or less talking about the announcement of her being the heir to the throne, and a celebration because the townspeople accept her. I hope that helped! Again, I'm sorry!

"Your Highness, I believe I can speak for all of us citizens when I say that we would be more than happy to accept you as our Princess and future Queen!"

"Yes, Princess! We love you!"

There were cheers all around. The clinking of wine glasses everywhere in a toast to Angela gave her an instant headache, but the smile on her face never faltered.

"And now, let the celebrations begin!" exclaimed King Hamilton. More cheers erupted and soon died down into the sound of happy conversations and loud festival hustle and bustle.

"Would you like to walk the grounds, Princess?" Without having to turn around, Angela knew exactly who that voice belonged to.

Still looking over the balcony and smiling down at all the happy citizens, Angela spoke. "Please, Sir Chase." She turned and took his arm, and he escorted her away from the balcony to walk with her to the castle grounds.

"You know, I never pictured a festival on the grounds before. Until now, I'd never been a part of one. I've only ever seen the village bustling about during one from afar. But now, there's one close, and it's in celebration of me. I've never felt so grateful in my entire life. I just wish mom was here to see it." As she walked with her arm linked in Chase's, Angela talked quietly and sighed.

"They're not all that fun all the time, though. The Harvest Festival, for one, is more boring than Toby. Unless you get really excited about the first harvest of the season, or have a weird vegetable fetish." Chase was joking, of course. Well, halfway. He was more or less trying to keep the mood light. He knew how much Angela missed her mother.

It had been a long time ago that the Queen passed, but she was still missed every day. Every time something good happened to Angela, she was always grateful. But she always got a little sad thinking about how she wanted to share the best moments in her life with her favorite person in the world.

"I want to be excited over things like that. Mom always looked forward to the little things, because the little things always were bigger in the long run."

Before Chase could reply, a small voice spoke up. "Princess Angela?"

The pair turned around mid-step, arms still linked. A little brown-haired boy with big azure eyes was standing there, tears pooling as he looked up at the Princess.

Angela squatted down so that she was at eye-level with the little boy. Chase smiled slightly, crossing his arms and switching his weight onto one foot.

"What's the matter, sweetie?" Angela asked the little boy.

"I c-c-can't find m-my mommy!" he stuttered between sniffles.

"What's your name?" she asked.

"T-Travis."

Angela smiled sweetly at the little boy, taking his hand as she stood up. "Well Travis, let's go find your mommy!" She began to walk forward, still holding little Travis's hand, not stopping as she looked back and called out to Chase. "Sir Chase, are you coming to help too?"

Her knight nodded, following closely behind the pair in front of him. He kept watch around them, all the while listening to Angela question the little boy about his mom.

After a while of walking around the grounds, Travis spotted his mother and let go of Angela's hand to run to her.

"Mama! Mama!"

"My baby! I told you not to run off like that! I thought I'd lost you." Travis's mother chastised him while she hugged him. When she noticed Angela approaching with a smile on her face, she stood up quickly and bowed. "Your Highness! I'm so thankful! How can I ever repay you?"

Angela's smile grew wider. "I'm just so happy to have helped reunite a happy family. It was lovely meeting you, Travis! And you too, ma'am. I hope you enjoy the rest of the festival. And Travis, make sure you stay with your mommy!"

As Angela walked away, she waved at Travis and then linked arms with Chase again.

Travis tugged on the hem of his mom's shirt, smiling. "Mama, I wanna grow up to be a knight like him so that I can protect a pretty princess like her one day, too!"

Hearing this, Angela looked up at Chase, whose face was set into a thin line, trying hard to suppress an informal smile to retain his professional knightly duty. Angela poked his side. "It's okay, Chase. No one's looking."

He looked down at his best friend and could no longer hold the smile in. He cocked an eyebrow at her. "Why, my lady, I do believe you've done your good deed for the day already, and it's not even dinner time yet. I congratulate you."

Angela giggled. "Oh shush." The Princess nudged her knight playfully, and right as he was about to reply to her, he stopped short.

"What's that noise?" he asked, more to himself than to Angela. He stood up straighter, looking around and surveying the surrounding area. Angela stood next to him, quiet now, straining to hear the noise Chase was talking about. She couldn't hear anything over the noise from the surrounding celebrations. Just as she was about to tell Chase that it was probably nothing, the noise got louder and she heard it too. The slow, barely audible buzzing noise reached her ears as Chase yelled out. "Get down!" He tackled her, covering her entire body with his own.

The next second, all the Princess could see was darkness. All she heard was a loud bang that resonated in her ear drums, followed by a ringing noise. All she could feel was an intense pain in her left forearm and a huge weight on top of her entire body.

And all she could think about was….

Chase!

Immediately, Angela struggled to sit up. She heard a soft groan and kept trying to wiggle free.

"Hold on," a muffled, albeit familiar, voice grunted. Slowly, the weight on top of Angela's whole body rolled off, and she sat up as soon as she was free, panicking.

"Chase! Are you okay?" she screamed, ignoring the fuzziness in her vision as she frantically searched for blood on her knight's uniform.

Then she found one, and her heart skipped a beat and her stomach and heart sank and her face paled.

In the right side of her best friend's waist, there was a piece of wood sticking through his ripped shirt, bathed in a dark pool of blood. The blood was spreading on his shirt, and Angela didn't know if the shirt was just soaking it all up or if the wound was bleeding profusely.

"O-Oh my Goddess!" Angela was leaning close to Chase, practically hovering over him.

"Angie, it's fine," he replied unconvincingly. He coughed, wincing and groaning. Despite the situation, Angela gave him a sharp glare, rolling her eyes.

"At a time like this, really!" She threw up her hands, and he gave her a small smile. He reached up, putting his hand on her face, rubbing his thumb against her face.

"You're staining your dress," he croaked. Angela choked out a laugh as tears welled up and held his hand with her own, pressing her face closer. "Hey, we can get you another one if you want. I'll buy it for you since I'm the reason it's ruined and-"

"No, Chase, I'm so scared. I don't want to lose my best friend," she cried.

"You won't lose me. I'm right here." He smiled at her, then looked past her. "Aww man, talk about killing a moment."

Angela turned around and leapt up. The four other Royal Knights were rushing towards them.

"What happened?" Owen asked. He looked at the piece of wood in Chase's side and drew in a sharp breath, running a hand through his red hair.

"Princess, are you okay?" Luke turned towards her, looking her over. He took one look at his fellow knight Chase, then gave Angela a sympathetic look.

Owen immediately began to bark out orders. "Luke, take the Princess to the infirmary to make sure she's okay. Bo, find the Prince, and don't leave his side until other orders are given. Toby, find his Majesty. The same orders go for you."

"Where are you going, Owen?" asked Bo.

"I'm taking Chase to the infirmary for emergency attendance."

Without further questioning, the other knights rushed off. Angela looked at Luke, and then at Owen. "Owen, is Sir Chase going to be okay?"

The red-haired knight spoke quickly to her, "Princess, right now you need to worry about yourself. Go with Luke to the infirmary to make sure you're okay. You need to- Princess?"

Angela's vision blurred again as she listened, her face getting paler by the second. She heard Chase yell out her name, and then everything went black.

I hope this chapter was a little bit better. Let me know what you think!
