AN: You might notice me screwing with the timeline here. Blame it on the butterfly. Yeah, it's always Aizen's fault.

Wrong butterfly, brat. In fact, forget butterflies. It was I, Satan, all along!

O.O

What the fuck!?

Diabolus of the Old School Building Chapter 3

Part 1:

The next evening, I returned home only for Ise to pull me aside again.

"*sigh* What now, dude?"

"Bro, I, uh, need some advice."

"? On what?"

He's fidgeting something fierce, which is rather unusual of him.

"So, earlier during 'club time', I met this girl."

I raise my brow to prompt him to continue.

"A nun, actually."

My left eye flinches as the rest of the story becomes clear: "Let me guess, bucchou-nee-sama says 'no'?"

He rose his hands in defense: "I'm not thinking anything serious, we just got along well, and I'm the first friend Asia made!"

Asia? Seriously? Oh, wait, ah-shee-a, gotcha.

"Wait, first friend here, or at all?"

"...She didn't say..."

The later, then.

"Anything else?"

"Yuuma has her."

...

"I'm sorry, what?"

"That girl I told you about, remember? The one that, uh, killed me?"

"I know who you're talking about. What I don't get is what that... woman, was doing there."

"Asia can heal people. Like, she puts her hands on a wound, some rings on her fingers glow green, and then byebye booboo, ya know?"

A healing-type Sacred Gear? Moreover, that description...

"Does it work on you?"

"It should. She told me that she healed a demon with it once. And she didn't care that I was one, either."

Twilight Healing. One Sacred Gear whom I share a name with, sort of, and my positively favorite one, exactly because it's more or less the only type of healing Gear to work for demons, too.

And if Raynare, a fallen angel, is her 'guardian', then she's been excommunicated for helping that demon.

"So what happened?" I asked.

"I tried to stop her, I did, but..."

"She handed you your ass."

He winced. "Yeah. That too."

I frowned. Something else had happened, something unrelated to the fight...

Oh, Heaven and Hell, don't tell me-!

"What did she say?"

My icy voice made his eye flinch.

Taking a breath, I tried again, with my normal voice now: "What did she say to you?"

"She...she..."

Shit, when's the last time I saw this guy cry for real...?

"I asked her... about our date... if she... at least had fun..."

A little awkwardly, I come up to him and grasped his shoulders reassuringly.

"*sniff* She called it... boring and... *sniff* gross and... and..."

"She has no right to say that."

I glomp him in a bro-hug, letting him return the gesture as he broke down.

After a while, his cracked voice spoke up, muffled by my shoulder: "I'm going. I don't care what Bucchou says, that girl needs me."

Pulling his face in front of mine again, I raised my brow at him silently.

"Don't get me wrong, Aniki, I owe Rias-Bucchou my life. But sometimes," he looked me squarely in the eye, "A man's gotta do what a man's gotta do."

That gives me an idea.

I grin wryly at him, slapping his shoulder.

"Atta, boy. Well said."

Making sure I left before Ise didn't take more than telling him I needed to go to the store. At 9pm. Mom needed a bit more convincing.

"Some bitch broke his heart...Imma give her a piece of my mind."

"...I'm coming too."

I shake my head with a grin.

"Thanks, Kaa-chan, but he needs you here to say 'Welcome home' to him."

She gave me a considering look, then smiled that smile of hers.

"I'll be saying that to you too, young man."

...

I'm not cryin', damnit. It's the cold air outside.

"Be back soon."

"Have a nice trip."

Part 2:

"Hurry up and get ready!" Raynare snarled at the stray priests as they set up the cross-like device for the ritual to extract the Sacred Gear from the former nun, Asia Argento.

She would've rather waited another day or two, but seeing that boy again, alive no less, she felt safer to go ahead with the rites, even if they would take longer with less priests than intended. She didn't want to risk the younger sisters of two of Hell's Demon Kings, Lucifer and Leviathan, interfering.

At this point, only that boy was likely to be rash enough to come over here and now. And even if he didn't take the back door, where Raynare's three fellow Fallen were, Freed should delay him long enough.

She almost thought she felt holy energies she didn't recognize for the past few minutes, but ignored that in favor of dragging the disgraced nun, now clad in naught but a short white gown for enhanced efficiency of the ritual.

Just as the girl was chained to the device, the stray priests got into position...

Only for a holy barrier to activated, made by the same energy that she had felt earlier, preventing the outside from detecting whatever happened in that room.

"What-?"

Then, a large black magic circle to appear beneath the priests, exploding with vile, demonic power that Raynare instinctively stepped away from. Only she got away, as her minions were blown to bloody robes, and little else.

Still trying to make sense of the situation, she stiffened as she felt a presense that seemed to somehow be responsible for both the barrier and the explosion teleported behind her.

Spinning around, she beheld a tall youth with straight silver hair that stood up on top, and amethyst eyes that bore into her. His uniform, which seemed like a snug fit, she recognized instantly - the human-turned-demon from earlier had worn the same, after all.

"Who...no, what are you!?" she screeched, only to fall silent when her opponent revealed his two wings and formed his spear.

"My name is Hyoudou Crepusculor. You deeply hurt my brother. Prepare to die."

Part 3:

Later that evening, sometime after 10pm, I, Hyoudou Issei, moved out to go rescue Asia. Much to my surprise, I found two familiar faces waiting for me.

"! Koneko-chan! Kiba!"

"Hey, Issei-kun."

Koneko-chan just nods at me.

"What are you guys doin' here?!"

"Orders. 'Protect Issei-kun please'," the small girl said.

Bucchou did...?

"But I thought she said..."

"Issei-kun," interjected Kiba, his usual annoying smile gaining a hint of amusement, "her exact words were, that you 'could not go alone', which you won't, now, and that 'the church is enemy territory'."

"Meaning...?"

"Promotion will be possible," supplemented Koneko-chan.

Oh! Of course! That means she gave me permission to upgrade in the church?

Is this a round-about sanctioning of my rescue mission?!

Thank you, Bucchou!

"Ise?"

Oh, and that's Crep, coming back with grocery bags in hand.

"You're late!" I yell at him.

Kiba looked at me from the side.

"Is he... coming with?"

What?!

"What?!" we both say.

"Nonono, I went out for supplies. I'm not coming to fight. I'm already low on HP."

I slap my face. This is not the time for gaming lingo, Aniki!

"Gamer?" asks Koneko-chan, tilting her head cutely.

Crep quite obviously agrees, as he smirks with the right side of his mouth before answering: "Yeah, not hardcore, though. I prefer casual. Why, are you curious, Toujou-san?"

"Not particularly."

Crep shugs at that. Yeah, what can you do?

"Fair enough. I'll be heading home first, Ise. You two make sure he gets back, please?"

"Definitely, Chairman Hyoudou."

"Yes, sir."

"Oi! You think I can't find my own way home?!"

"Nope."

Guh! Merciless!

...Aaand he's off.

Right! Let's get this show on the road!

...Is what I said, but...

Is anyone else home?

For once, Kiba wasn't smiling, and suddenly, I wished he was. Sure, it's annoying to look at, but at least it means everything's alright, right?

Koneko-chan is frowning too, and for the same reason.

You see, when we got into the church, we met up with this crazy wacko called Freed, whom Kiba referred to as a 'stray exorcist'. Is that similar to the stray demons?

Anyways, that idiot provoked Koneko-chan and got his knock-off light-saber eaten by Kiba's sword, and just after I decked him with my awesome Rook Promotion super-strength, he pulls a smoke bomb on us. Gah!

After that, we pulled aside the alter to find a hidden staircase underneath, but...

Koneko sniffed the air again, and said: "No mistake. The smell of blood."

Blood!? Is that what that strange smell is?!

"Indeed, and it is still fresh."

Kiba, you can even tell how old it is. Wait...

"Asia!"

If they smell blood, even an idiot like me can understand that that's because blood has been spilt. Which could mean that Asia is in trouble!

"Issei-kun!"

Ignoring Kiba's shout, I reach the bottom of the stairs, unprepared for the sight in front of me.

These...

bloody robes...

those're bodies...

Aren't they...?

And there, in the back, is -

"Asia!"

She's dressed in a simple gown that hangs from shoulder-straps and reaches down above her knees, and she's hanging from this weird, cross-shaped machine. I don't see anything wrong, but that doesn't mean she's alright. I tear her down from the thing, causing it to fall over-

And there's Yuuma...Raynare...whatever...

Dead.

Her wings were mutilated, and strange white light spears with black, smoking patches were stuck through her arms, and one more entering her mouth before exiting down...between her legs...

I don't feel so good-

*blergh*

And, that's chapter 3 of my fan fiction. See you next time.

PS: Just yanking you're chain', kids. Love, Lucifer.
