"The ultimate tragedy is not the oppression and cruelty by the bad people but the silence over that by the good people"

- Martian Luther King Jr

I wriggled in my sleep. My paws scratching the ground below me. I let out a violent hiss as a paw prodded hardly at my side.

"Skykit. Wake up!" A voice spat in my ear. I opened my eyes slowly. Rosekit stood tall in the shadows, her eyes gleaming with her usual pride. I peeked around noticing that it was still dark. Faint snoring could be heard from all over the camp

"What?" I asked in annoyance.

"Applefall wants to see you." She hissed, flicking her tail. I perked my ears and lazily lied on my stomach.

"Applefall eh? I wonder why." Rosekit snarled her eyes raging with fury. She turned on her heels.

" I'm not kidding or anything! You better hurry up snake-heart!"

I sighed, getting to my feet groggily. A faint yawn escaped my lips and I looked around the nursery frantically. Let's get this over with.

"Fine, but where is she?" I asked rushing after Rosekit. She turned to glare at me. "You have a nose. Use it!" She spat.

I sighed, sniffing the air. "Applefall?" I called softly, not wanting to wake up anybody as I looked.

"Over here, kit."

Applefall's hiss cut through the night silence like a claw. I cautiously padded over to where she was, behind the nursery.

"Yes, Applefall?" I asked, yawning. "Why'd you wake me up so early? I don't think the sun's even up…"

Applefall, unsheathed her claws, and I took half a step back. Without warning, she slashed my ears with her claws. I yelped, as blood slowly trickled down my ear.

Applefall growled, and clawed again, this time at my eyes, and she narrowly missed.

"Applefall, stop!" I hissed at her. Applefall rolled her eyes, slashing at me once more. The blood dripped to the ground.

"Applefall stop." She said mockingly. I hissed at her, my eyes darting between Rosekit and Applefall. Rosekit wore a sly smirk. I howled to Starclan as the pain continued.

Hisses cut through the air, as cats began to awake.

"You were attacked by a fox, or else I'll kill you next time." Applefall growled, trotting away before anyone could see. "Come on, Rosekit. Leave Scarkit to wash her wounds."

Rosekit chuckled quietly, and padded after Applefall.

My heart throbbed as the pain kept going on and on. A mere tear fell from my eyes and I was left there in a total confusion.

I padded back into the nursery, glancing at my darkened nest in the corner. It consisted of dry grass and the littlest amount of moss, that Fernheart lended to me out of kindness. My orbs flitted to my old nest where Applefall and Rosekit lay, their chests heaving up and down.

Why is she so against me?

She seems perfectly fine with Rosekit and the others.

Is there something wrong with me?

Run kit. Danger lies ahead.

The next morning I woke up with a jolt. I glanced down to my pelt, were dried up blood stained me.

"Skykit! Are you okay? What happened?"

Fernheart ran towards me, hesitating before licking my bleeding ear gingerly. I looked up at her and shrugged my shoulders.

"Nevermind what happened. Go see Swiftfire immediately!" She nudged me out of the nursery hurriedly.

As soon as I got of the nursery the clan seemed to go into a unsettled silence.

I walked towards the medicine cat den, cat's stares burning into my fur.

"Nothing to see here." Someone hissed. I looked up. Swiftfire!

Cats slowly drew their gaze away, but one gaze lingered longer than the others. I stared at the ground as a dark tom looked at me for a moment longer, then went back to conversing with his friends.

Swiftfire led me to the medicine cat den, and sat me down in a nest. "What happened?" I wriggled in the nest and opened my mouth. Nothing came out.

"You can trust me." He pressed, his eyes heavenly pleading. I thought for a second.

You were attacked by a fox, or else I'll kill you next time.

My body jolted up, remembering Applefall's threat. I glanced at Swiftfire and his eyes were intent, studying my face.

"Fox." I stated simply, showing no trace of doubt or fear whatsoever.

"How did a fox get into camp?" Swiftfire asked.

I shrugged, realizing my mistake. "Can you just treat me?!" I snarled. Swiftfire looked at me oddly. "Are you okay?"

No, I'm not okay! I'm tired of this Clan treating me like filth! I'm not gonna stand for this anymore.

"Sorry, yeah. I'm just tired." Swiftfire nodded, and turned around to get some herbs, and began making a poultice.

A figure appeared in the entrance. I curled back into a small snarl. I quickly drew in back as Swiftfire glanced at me, a questioning plea etched on his face.

"Skykit?" Applefall approached me with a fake gasp. I lowered my raging eyes to the ground.

"Go away." I muttered lowly, so only Applefall could hear. She smirked and lowered her face to my ears.

"I will never go away - monster." I met her eyes slowly and doubtfully. She flicked her tail and padded off, leaving me in utter confusion and rage.

I'll kill you all. When I'm leader, you'll all pay...
