The Snowpoint Gym is every child's fantasy – a house filled with freshly fallen snow and snowballs the size of a mamoswine. Hot chocolate is served at the entrance and the ice that's everywhere in this pretend castle shines with some kind of inner light coming from who-knows-where.
It's every child's fantasy and it was her fantasy, too, back when there was a different Gym Leader and she was being considered as the replacement when the former was too old or too cold.
There's no such thing as too cold for her. She got the position. Her fantasy of being in such a place – a castle of ice – became reality.
Candice loves her job and she loves her Gym. And she never wants to give them up.
Personal Headcanon: It's a cold Gym. There had better be hot beverages (like chocolate) or the trainers will freeze/go on strike.
