Law buttoned the black suit before pulling a black shiny tie from his drawer. He tied it in a swift of time and dusted himself a bit.
He looked at his own reflection on the mirror.
He saw a smart handsome man with a sexy neck, wearing a nice black tux. He frowned at his reflection.
"Why did I follow him before?" he can see his own eyes reflecting sad shines. He had his own history with that weird crazy maniac blond. Or should he say, his so-called 'brother' ?
He didn't live with Doflamingo since he was still a fragile being, but he was took into the Donquixote family since 10.
Need he say that he was saved?
A/N: I'm sorry for having to write an author's note here, but I need to warn you that the upcoming 16 paragraphs are very confusing but I think you'll get it after you get the to 17th one and beyond. He remembered it all quite clearly. Not a single moment was forgotten. The day he became an orphan became the day he was beginning to feel that he was accepted by the world. His parents never loved him. They didn't let him die so that he can work for them. They forbade him from studies. They forbade him from seeing the world. Forbidding him from making friends. Forbidding him from doing almost anything, other than becoming their servant.
They were more like cruel masters of a pathetic child.
Until they got involved in an accident.
Leaving him at the shabby house.
He was alone for a few days after their death and didn't bother to move away. He wanted to die so much by that time.
Until a crazy blond came to his house eager to meet him.
That maniac wanted to take him in after listening to his back story.
That maniac was Donquixote Doflamingo.
"Why don't you join our Donquixote family? Make new memories, Law... You can't live in the past too much... ," nice words to make him join them in the end.
Law felt so happy while living with them. But, even that so-called savior of his, is an actual broker of the underworld business. An officer working for the government but also a famous broker of the underworld.
He persuaded Law to join him just to cover all the rumours that were starting to fly around.
Well, no one knows what exactly is the truth.
Law. Is only a cover-up for Doflamingo's dirty works. True or false?
Or, maybe he was really having his pity on Law. He is still a human despite his demonic and maniac figures and persona.
Glad or not, Law still feels grateful of Doffy. He's not hating that guy, just that, sometimes, it seems like that so-called brother of his is having a brother complex with him. He's an adult now so stop worrying like heck about him! Oh wait, that wasn't the reason. The reason why he hates that stupid blond is that he keeps on butting into every single business he had!
Law is a guy who prefers to keep everything to himself, and would only express anything to his animal friend which that blond maniac bought for him. All to make him happy. Doffy's too weird. Too weird. He's mean at times, overprotective at times, and someone who easily envies another person at times.
Okay, to make story short. Which I, the author should have written earlier, is that Doflamingo is indeed a broker in the underworld, a world which the government knows nothing about. Some of the polices and officers of the world government do know about it, but never intended to tell Gorosei, the five leaders of the WG about this Underworld thingie.
Even if Monet and Bellamy think that Law was taken into the Donquixote family to cover up the spreading rumours, actually, Doffy had a weird side which is not to see any child dying after suffering family issues. Meaning, Doflamingo is taking Law because he really cares about that kid.
Law feels so grateful and happy of having Doffy as his brother but as he grew older, and became more of a smartass than he already is - which he is later known as a genius at the age of 15 - Doflamingo started to eye on everything the youngster did.
Confusing, right?
Because of that, Law feels like he is controlled, again. But at the same time, grateful that it was that blond.
At least he's no longer treated as a slave. He was now treated like a prince!
"Yo, Law-kun! You ready?" asked the sweet cutesy girl, namely Sugar. She had a short aquamarine hair and was smiling cutely at the elder in the room. Law turned his head seeing the cute smile. Smiling in reply, the dark blue-haired adult walked towards the girl.
"Well, all I need to do is just dress up, right?" Law smiled. He liked Sugar. Sugar wasn't like any other bats he'd met. Of course that little kid often do mischiefs but in her own way. Somehow she can order people around easily as if they were toys. Even Law was affected by her unique-ness.
Sugar grinned while raising her hands up.
Law chuckled seeing her like that.
He pulled out his hands and pulled the girl up to his shoulder.
"Mah... Let's get down to the party, shall we?" he uttered like a butler. He enjoyed playing act while with this girl, ever since she came into their family. He smiled as Sugar grinned childishly.
"Let's go!"
"Well, looks like Law's now here, so,... Let's start our dinner," smiled the blond leader as usual. Smiling like a maniac like he was, he signed Sugar to go and sit beside him. Law took a seat opposite to the little girl. Seeing that everyone was present and looked like can't wait to eat, Doflamingo smiled wider, as if it could go any wider.
"*Itadakimasu!" he started as a leader, signaling that everyone can eat.
"Itadakimasu~!" replied the hungry family members.
Law took the chopsticks beside the bowl of rice in front of him. He then took anything in front of him and ate it along with the rice. Eating as usual, he just smiled at times every time he glanced at his left side. Everyone was having fun and enjoying every moment being in this family.
"Nee, Law... Why didn't you invite them?" asked a rather cold and manly voice. It almost sounded like he was growling. Law, turning his head, look at his 'hero'. He raised an eyebrow before swallowing the food pieces in his mouth.
"I ... Forgot," he replied, nervously. He wasn't sure why he was nervous, but he always thought that maybe his inner side doesn't want to upset that blond or too afraid to do so?
"If you say so... "
"Y'know! You should've just married me! Bebebe!"
"So he needs me..."
"STOP THE CRAZINESS, BABY 5!"
"Baby 5. I need to pay off some debts. I need your money. Can you lend me some?"
"S-sure..."
"Oh don't let them bully you, Baby 5!"
"Bully me!? Thanks for reminding me, Rebecca! I'll teach you boys a very good lesson!"
"Oooohh... Is it art lesson?"
"Hmmm... I think I wanna join in the teaching. :3"
"And what lesson is it?" everyone silenced listening to the growling voice of that man, who was smiling, despite his scary voice. Law smirked while chuckling. He then noticed the girl in front of him was tilting her head while looking at the noisy family.
"Law..."
Everyone silenced and looked at the girl.
"I read it somewhere in your Sense books," Law raised an eyebrow, curious of what's the upcoming question from the little girl's mouth. Even Doflamingo was silent and putting away his silly grin. Everyone was too curious to know that they stared at Sugar thoroughly.
"When a male's reproductive item enters a female's reproductive hole, it must have a short name to it, right?" as Law expected, that was the question. Some of the men at the dining table had nosebleed while some flushes red. As for the ladies, they went as red as tomatoes. Doflamingo blinked a few times before laughing with some slight red lines on his cheeks.
Sugar pouted at their reaction. What's wrong with a girl wanting to gain knowledges? She puffed her mouth cutely, while frowning at the chuckling genius. Law covered his chuckles with his right hand like a butler would. He's so cute, lol.
"So?" she asked, still demanding an answer.
It took another few moments for Law to fully recover. He thought that it was cute. Even Doffy thought so.
"First, it's Science books. Secondly, the short word for that reproductive process is called sex. Third, don't ask anyone to demonstrate it to you. I'll tell you in full detail after the dinner, kay?" replied the genius in the Donquixote family. The girl grinned in satisfication and nodded while humming in agreement.
"Well, looks like there's gonna be another genius in this family! Hahahahaha!" boomed the head of the family. Everyon eyed him before smiling. The man patted gently on Sugar's head and smiled warmly at Law. Law replied the smile with his own. And then, everyone continued on with the hectic dinner.
Law walked upstairs heading straight to his room. Dinner had ended and he's already taught Sugar everything she needs to know as an upcoming Science member. And she ended up flushing red with himself chuckling at her innocence. Sure, the explanations might have made some men listening to it get nosebleed, while some just simply feel aroused.
He frowned with some slight red lines on his cheeks. He shook his head, trying to get rid off all the dirty thoughts that suddenly invaded his mind. As he was in his room, he closed the door, not noticing the laying figure on the bed. As he locked the door to his room, he went straight to his bed laying at the side.
"Tired?" asked a familiar growling-like voice. Law's closed eyes immediately shot wide opened. He sat up in a fast of lightning and turned to his right looking at his 'brother' laying while grinning like a maniac - as usual.
Frowning, the youngster asked, "What're you doing in my room?" Privacy. Privacy matters for him. Well, an exception for Sugar, the youngest in the family, of course. Doflamingo sat up and faced the shorter man with usual grin.
"How was it with the investigation?"
Law blinked his half-lidded eyes. He then crossed his legs. Sitting up straight, facing the elder in order to show respect for him. He respects the elder so much but sometimes... Meh.
"The case had nothing to do with the case ten years ago. And it wasn't really a challenging case. That Paula was already suspicious by her looks and being the one who wasn't killed by the murderer, while in fact, she was caught by one of the CCTVs at the street walking towards the house, though none captured her walking into and out of the house," explained the young genius in almost full detail. The elder nodded in approvement.
Silence met the two.
"Oi, Law."
"Hm?"
"I wanna accompany you tonight, can I?"
Law blinked in surprise, not expecting this. Well, he can remember how when he was little he would often sneak into Doffy's room to sleep side to him. At least knowing you're not alone when sleeping was enough. He stared at the man.
Suddenly, the earlier explanation to Sugar came flying into his mind. Sleep. Do something. As red as tomato, Law blushed while gritting his teeth. He then shook his head. The blond raised an eyebrow, wondering what's wrong. He then waited no more and laid down.
Law eyed him with thin red lines but shrugged anyways. He sighed, embarrassed of what he was thinking.
"**Oyasumi," Law muttered, reaching out for the switch near his bed and a click made the room go dark, lights go out. He positioned himself into a comfortable position, which was laying on his right side, facing the elder, who was facing him too. Somehow, he still can see in the dark. Cat's eyes. That's what Vergo had said about him when he first came into the family.
"Oyasumi, brother," patting Law's head, the two smiled in satsification and later started to snore.
A/N: ... I ... I am ... I am not a yaoi fangirl, but I can't restrain myself from doing that scene. Besides, Law and Doffu. There's too much possible relationship-thoughts about each other from each other. And about the characters in the Donquixote family, they aren't OCs. They are canon. Sugar too. She's the green-haired girl sitting beside Doffy, during Doffy's conversation with Vergo, remember? And... about the author's note, I needed to point that out. I know it destroys the story flow but it is needed to.
About the marked* words, those are actually Japanese greetings. I dunno how to say it out, but it's something like greetings.
Itadakimasu, it is usually said before eating. It's not a prayer, but it's a sign of respect to the food and others whenever we want to start eating. And when we end our meal, the Japanese would say gochisousama deshita. It is also in order to respect the food kinda. And the cook of the meals too. To make story short, it's a greeting to food. Like, why are you saying hello? What's the meaning of hello? That's what itadakimasu and the second one's like.
As for Oyasumi, the full form of it is oyasumi nasai. I didn't want to write Law saying it out in full form, cause it'll throw away his badass-ness. Doflamingo can say it cause he's the elder one. This greetings mean "I'm off to bed" something like saying that the speaker is going to rest.
