Mockingjay: Part II

The girl on fire, in the midst of war

Felt off at her lover's strife,

His mentality tearing itself more and more,

From the twisted memories of his life.

'Twas a good, brief celebration,

Of two people vowing through rings,

When the man had left for a bloody engagement,

Losing his life by the mutts, those things.

"Real or not real?" she heard with a pause,

From the boy whom she realized she truly loved,

While the people she cared for were killed for a cause,

She shot the arrow at the woman who shoved.

There was far too much revenge in the land,

So the girl and boy sat down, hand in hand.

Author's (long) Note: Real quick, what rhymes with "loved"? Like, what does?

But off to more important matters regarding Mockingjay: Part II. Please don't mind this babble/rant/... thing.

Spoiler alert, all of my favorite characters died. As Peeta listed them off at some point in the movie, I was like, "Peeta, hon, you can't do this to me. I love you but you gotta shut up."

Finnick. Like, I completely forgot about his death because one day I wrote some "what if" fanfiction if Finnick lived and called it canon for two years. In my version, he had as many beautiful children as pi without the decimal point, but of course Collins is a troll and hates me so she smashed those pi children and gave the world but one hope of hot boys.

It's all up to you, only living son of Finnick. Look exactly like your father, and give the world what it needs.

I also liked how the movie talked about the events and characters in the previous movies. I didn't expect that for some reason. I don't think I had much expectations for the second part huh.

Anyway, the ending was satisfying to me! But freaking Gale. Forget about Team Gale.

Let me know of your thoughts on the movie, or the book! It was difficult to write this sonnet the most, most definitely, because of all of the events that I wanted to fit in but couldn't. Plus I don't remember big details since me dumb.

(P.S. The part with Haymitch and Effie... did that happen in the book oml)
