Fleeing Light
AN: I'd like to give a shout out to Alanis Strife for guessing the reference correctly! Yes, the movie I was referencing was "The Ghost and the Darkness." For guessing correctly Alanis Strife, you can choose one magic for a member of the Guardians of Hogwarts that haven't already been given a magic. That is Ginny, the Patil twins, Theodore, Seamus, Hannah, the Weasley twins, Terry, or Pansy (will be explained this chapter). I have picked a magic for Fleur and Viktor and Tracey will be using Amaterasu. I'd like to extend this courtesy to thelonewander117 for being the only other review I saw that tried to guess the reference, even if it was wrong. Good guess though, man. I can see where you got Predator from.
Also to CelestialGoddessFT, I had never heard of the show RoWen until you mentioned it. So, no, I didn't get the name from there. I just put two names that I had in my head at the time together.
Disclaimer: Do I need to say it? I DO NOT own Fairy Tail OR Harry Potter.
Chapter 3
The more things change….
Fairy Tail Guild Hall, Fiore (same time as Harry appeared in Hogwarts)
Things in Fairy Tail became chaotic when Harry and Cassiopeia disappeared. Hermione had grabbed a Grimoire out of her satchel. It was dark red in color and an intricate cross symbol on the front. She flipped through it wildly until she found the page she was looking for.
"Hari o mitsukete!" she chanted and a pale white magic circle appeared above the book. Her eyes glowed as the magic continued to do its work.
She gasped loudly as the magic was cancelled. "He's at Hogwarts!" she exclaimed anxiously.
Many core members of Fairy Tail (that is to say, the original members before Tenrou) frowned and began to spew curses. Ever since they learned of the events that lead to Harry, Hermione, Sirius, Remus, and Emma coming to Fiore; they all had a growing hatred of Dumbledore, whom they knew was the madman that had dared to harm one of their own. Needless to say, some (mainly three fourths of Team Natsu and the entire Strauss family) had planned some very creative tortures for the old man and his helpers.
"You mean to tell me Bumblebork has abducted Harry?!" Natsu shouted, his skin color changing from its usual tan to a very bright pink as steam rolled off him in waves of unbearable heat. Harry was like a brother to Natsu (well, so was Gray, but Natsu wouldn't claim him), and anyone harming his brother would get a flaming fist to the face, courtesy of a pissed off fire dragon.
A wave of artic cold air rolled off Gray as ice began to accumulate around his feet. "Dumbledore's in for it now," he said coldly. "He's just given us a damn good reason to march over to that blasted school of his and eradicate him!" Like Natsu, Gray viewed Harry as a brother, and he'd be damned if he let some old fart get away with harming any member of his family.
Erza and Mira were currently playing an unconscious game of 'who's killing intent is stronger' as they stood next to each other. At one point, they both had a huge crush on the black haired mage, which made their usual bouts even more viscous. Even after he started dating Hermione, much to their displeasure, they still had deep feelings for Harry. So, yeah, they were overly pissed right now.
"No, not Dumbledore," Hermione said frowning. "The magic that dragged him there felt…impassive. Like it didn't care who he was. It felt as if it was just following an order."
"That might be a possibility," Remus said. He was standing next to Emma, who had ran over to him when Harry disappeared with Cassiopeia. "If what you said is true, Hermione, then he might've been summoned by the Goblet of Fire."
"Aw damn-it!" Sirius shouted as he slammed his fist onto the bar. He had been trying to comfort his wife who was distraught at the turn of events.
Levy frowned. "I've read about that in your library, Sirius," she said, still frowning in concentration. "Wasn't it used as an impartial judge in some tournament?"
"Yes, it is," Sirius confirmed. "The TriWizard Tournament is the only competition that uses the Goblet. It's likely someone placed Harry's name in it, and it chose him as a champion in the Tournament."
"Most likely Dumbledore," Erza muttered darkly.
Remus shook his head. "Desperate, Dumbledore may be, but I doubt even he would risk Harry's life just to get him back. He needs Harry alive for his plans. No, I think someone else put his name in the bloody Goblet. Someone who's loyal to a person who would want to see Harry dead at all costs."
"Voldemort," Hermione mumbled as she gripped her Grimoire tightly.
Remus nodded. "I'd stake my next paycheck that someone loyal to the Dark Idiot put his name in there to hopefully get him killed."
"But wouldn't Voldemort want to kill Harry himself?" Lucy said. "I mean, from what I've heard, Voldemort doesn't seem the type to let Harry die before he kills him himself."
"Who's to say that ain't Moldywart's plan?" Sen asked rhetorically. "He probably set this whole thing up to get Harry to him for the big show."
"You see why I love this woman?" Sirius asked Remus, smirking.
"Regardless," Makarov's voice resounded throughout the Guild Hall. "One of our own has been taken. And we cannot this sitting down!" This was met with loud cheers. "Sirius, is there any way to return to your home dimension?"
"Yes sir," Sirius said. "The spell that brought us here has a sister spell that can take us back. It'll take two or three days to fix the circle and make sure it works properly. And another day and a half to configure the spell to take us to where Harry is currently."
Makarov nodded. "Good. Do that quickly. As for the rest of you, decide who will go with Sirius to rescue Harry! We need the best of the best, so choose wisely!"
Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, day after Harry appeared in the Great Hall
Harry groaned as he woke up. He had a very horrible dream that he was brought back to Hogwarts to participate in some stupid tournament; Cassiopeia was stuck there with him. On the plus side, it seemed Neville was doing great, and Draco apparently wasn't the douchebag he was anymore.
He looked up and saw he wasn't in his bedroom at Marauder's Place. In fact, it looked like…
He groaned again as he fell back onto the bed. It wasn't a dream. Great.
He looked over to his left and saw Cassiopeia sleeping soundly. He smiled slightly. He yawned as he crawled out of the bed. He stretched as he walked over to the bathroom. He had gone a little overboard with the warding last night. Not only did he ward the portrait entrance, but he also warded the sitting area, the bedroom, and around the bed itself in an effort to keep Cassiopeia safe from Dumbledore. He wouldn't put it pass the old man to try something stupid.
He quickly took a bath as he was too tired to after last night. He exited the tub and Requiped a clean set of his usual getup on. He smirked. Erza forced him to learn Requip once when she was trying to win his affections. It made things easier when in a situation like this.
He walked back into the bedroom and sat down on the bed. He still hadn't figured out how to breathe fire for Cassiopeia, and if he didn't, she would be upset. And he couldn't upset his little sister. The question was how to do it? I mean, it's wasn't like I'm Natsu or anything….
He stopped. Wait, Natsu. That's it! He may not be able to breathe fire like Natsu, but Harry did remember Natsu's description of how he breathed fire. And Harry did know that magic. Maybe he could fake it somehow….
While he was musing, Cassiopeia started to wake up. She sat up and rubbed her eyes cutely. She yawned as she looked around and saw she didn't know where she was. She started to panic. Where was her daddy? And her mommy? Where was-?
She looked over and saw her big brother sitting on the bed she was on. Her eyes widened. That's when it all hit her at once. She had grabbed onto Harry when he began to cry out in pain. They appeared in a castle. Realization dawned on her. Hogwarts! she thought loudly. Her father talked about it all the time! And her big brother Harry and big sister Hermione told her amazing stories about it for her bedtime stories!
She grinned widely as she jumped onto her brother's back. "Big Brother! Big Brother! We're at Hogwarts! HOGWARTS! You, Daddy, Uncle Mooney, and Big Sister Hermy went here!" She squealed happily. "I at Hogwarts! I at Hogwarts!" she sang, giggling as she let go of her brother and began jumping on the bed.
Harry smiled at her. His musings were broken when she jumped onto his back. "That's right, Cassi. We're at Hogwarts." He put a hand on her shoulder to stop her jumping. "Listen, Cassiopeia, there are people here that would try to hurt you because you're my little sister. More might even try to get you to do something that would get you in trouble, and I'd have to come save you. Understand me?"
She nodded. She knew that when her brother used her full name, it was very serious. Harry nodded as well. "So, I need you to stay near me at all times when not in this room, okay? This place is protected because I made sure of it last night. But outside of this room, you stay near me. Got it?" Another nod. "Good. Now," he smiled at her, "I want to introduce you to another friend." He called out loudly, "Dobby!"
A resounding crack scared Cassiopeia a bit as Dobby appeared. "Master Harry Potter called Dobby?!" the house elf asked excitedly.
Cassiopeia giggled. "He funny," she said.
Harry smiled at her. "That he is. Cassi, I want you to meet Dobby. Dobby, meet my little sister, Cassiopeia."
"Dobby pleased to meet you, Miss Cassi," Dobby said bowing, making Cassiopeia giggle again.
"Hello, Dob-by," she said, making sure her pronunciation was right.
"Hey, Dobby," Harry said, "my sister needs to take her bath. Could you get a female house elf to watch her and clean her clothes for her? I have to fine tune the runes I wrote around this room, and the bathtubs here are quite large."
Dobby nodded vigorously as he vanished and returned with distinctly female House Elf. "This be Mizzy, Master Harry Potter, sir."
"Thank you, Dobby," Harry said. To Mizzy, he asked, "Could you what her and clean her clothes, Mizzy? I'm afraid she doesn't have any with her."
"It be no problem, Master," Mizzy said bowing. She turned to Cassiopeia and said kindly, "This way, little miss."
Cassiopeia turned to her brother apprehensively. He smiled and nodded his head. Cassiopeia returned the smile and offered him her dragon plushy. "Hold Mr. Igneel for me, Big Brother, please?" she asked. He smiled. He still remembered the day Natsu got her the plushy. "Sure thing, Cass," he told her as he took the toy. She smiled and followed the House Elf to the bathroom.
He looked at the dragon plushy for a moment before turning to Dobby and saying, "Dobby, tell Draco I'll talk to him at breakfast in the Great Hall."
Dobby nodded as he snapped his fingers and vanished again. Harry stood there a second before shrugging and heading out of the bedroom. The living room consisted of bright red and gold colors. A large couch was situated in front of a large fireplace. A portrait hung above it, but no one was in it. The rug in front of the couch had the Gryffindor coat of arms on it. Several chairs and bookshelves were placed sporadically across the room.
Harry walked over to the door of the room to check the runes he wrote, only to find they were gone! Panicking, he ran the back into the living room and ran the circumference of the room. All the runes just vanished.
"I wouldn't worry, kid," a voice called out, making Harry tense up. "This room updates its wards every night," Harry began turning to try and locate the voice, "and any new wards or runes placed around the room are automatically added the wards of the room."
Harry finally came to a stop in front of the fireplace where a person occupied the portrait above it. The picture was of a man with shaggy brown hair and violet colored eyes. He wore the traditional Gryffindor robes and was smirking at the dumb-struck Harry.
"Heh, heh, I do love scaring the crap out of people," the portrait mused. "But enough of the theatrics, allow me to introduce myself. I am-"
"Godric Gryffindor," Harry whispered, his eyes wide as saucers.
The Founder of Gryffindor House chuckled. "I'm surprised you knew who I was, kid. From what the castle has told me, there are no pictures of me or the other Founders. I guess most were lost to the passage of time or something."
Harry shook his head. "There isn't," he admitted. "I saw your picture while at Fiore. You and the other Founders were standing on Tenrou Island with Mavis Vermillion, the first Guild Master of Fairy Tail."
Godric's eyes widened. "You're from Paradise?! And you're apart of Mavis's Guild?!"
Harry nodded mutely. Godric laughed loudly. "Well, that changes a lot of things! And it explains why my portrait was activated!" He laughed loudly again. "Ah, Tenrou, I remember it well. The first time the four of us actually got along and worked together! What a day. Me transfiguring Basilisks. Rowena casting a multitude of freezing charms at Acnologia. Helga blasting the bloody dragon with her own created spell. Salazar yelling at the beast in Parseltounge." He sighed longingly. "Ah, good times."
Harry had been transfixed for the most part….until he heard about Salazar. He laughed uncontrollably. Godric frowned at him. "Hey, what's so funny kid?"
"W-what you said!" Harry choked out. "I did the same damn thing Salazar did when the Guild and I faced the Black Dragon!" He laughed harder.
Godric looked at him dumbfounded, until he started laughing as well. "I like you kid. You've got heart. Something I'd expect from a former member of my House."
"So you know who I am," Harry said. "From what you said earlier, I can only guess Hogwarts herself told you. Hogwarts, a History did mention that it might be."
Godric nodded. "That she is. A side-effect of all the magic being done here in the halls. I do apologize for the slights Dumbledore has been pulling. When given a chance, please put that old bastard in his place for me, okay?"
"No big. I have a few things to show the old fart if he decides to mess with me this time."
"Good to hear. Now then," Godric nodded and to Harry's surprise, a compartment opened on the fireplace, "in that compartment is a book on a magic that Salazar created while at Paradise. He asked me to hold onto it until someone worthy came along to claim it. I think you'll do the snake proud."
Harry walked over to the compartment and picked up the book. His eyes widened. This was the PERFECT magic for Snape! Harry himself was terrible at Potions, so it'd be better suited for someone who was a master in the art.
He looked up to Godric and nodded. "Thanks," he said smiling. "I know just the guy to hand this over too. He can make more sense of it than I can."
"I'm sure he can," Godric chuckled as Cassiopeia came running down the stairs that led to the bedroom.
"Big Brother, Big Brother! The bathtub here is HUGE! It's like a swimming pool!" she exclaimed happily.
Harry smiled at her as he put the book in his backpack. "That they are, Little Monster. That they are."
"Cassi not a monster!" she bristled. "Cassi a DRAGON!"
"Oh? You mean, like this?" He held the dragon plushy in front of her.
"Yeah, yeah! Like that!" she grinned and snatched the plushy from his grasp.
Harry chuckled as Godric smiled. "Well, let's get something to eat, alright, Cassi?"
"Yay!"
"Don't do anything I wouldn't do!" Godric called out as the two exited portrait's archway.
Cassiopeia was giddy as she and her brother walked to the Great Hall. Now that she wasn't tired like last night, she was observing the portraits with renewed vigor. It had taken Harry ten minutes to tell her she didn't have to say hello to all the portraits because they'd all answer her anyway. Plus, if she tried to, they'd be late for breakfast.
"Hello everyone!" Cassiopeia said happily as they entered another corridor filled with pictures.
A chorus of "Hellos!" rang through the corridor as all the portraits responded at once. Cassiopeia giggled. "Big Brother, when can I see you breathe fire?! You said you would breathe fire for me!" she demanded childishly.
A chuckle met her demand. "After breakfast, Cassi," Harry told her. "I need to eat something first before I can breathe fire."
"Okay!" she chirped and ran ahead slightly. She laughed as she spread her arms out and pretended to fly through the hallway.
"Cassi! Slow down," Harry's voice called up to her.
She was about to reply when she bumped into someone. She made a small noise, but otherwise was unhurt. She rubbed her forehead and said, "I'm sorry. I wasn't watching where I was going."
"Oh, it's quite alright miss," the person said, smiling softly at her. "I wasn't paying attention either. So, we're both at fault." The person saw her doll and said, "That's a cool dragon you got there. What's his name?"
Cassiopeia smiled. "This is Mr. Igneel!" she said proudly as she held him up for the person to see. "Big Brother Natsu gave him to me for my third birthday! Mr. Igneel keeps me safe from evil knights!" She giggled at that.
"I'm sad you think so lowly of me, Cassi," Harry said from behind her.
Cassiopeia turned and grinned. "Big Brother!" she exclaimed as she latched onto him. "You're not evil! You're the coolest big brother ever! You beat up evil knights and bad dragons and stuff! You're the best!"
Harry chuckled at her antics. "Okay, okay, Cassi, I get it." He turned to the other person and smiled. "I see you've grown up, Neville."
Neville grinned. "Kinda hard not too after what happened to you, Mate," he said. "I must thank you for your advice, though. If I hadn't gone to the Muggle World like you suggested, I might've been dead more than a few times while taking up your bloody job of protecting this bloody school." He mock glared at Harry.
Harry grinned. "Now you understand my problem," he said. "Besides, you've come out okay. Why worry." He put a hand on Cassiopeia's shoulder and said, "I see you've already met Cassiopeia."
Neville chuckled. "That I did. She's very interesting to talk to." He looked at her and smiled again. "It's a pleasure to meet you personally, Cassiopeia."
"Hello, Ne-ville," she pronounced carefully. His nod told her she got it right. She giggled.
"Well, if it isn't the lost little lion!" a new voice said, making the three turn towards it. Harry smiled.
"Well, hello, Parvati, pleasure to see you again."
"And to you, Harry," the Indian girl grinned before turning her attention to Cassiopeia. "Hello there miss, I'm Parvati Patil."
"I'm Cassiopeia!" she said smiling.
Parvati grinned. "Oh, she's so cute! I just wanna hug her to death!" she squealed girlishly.
Harry was about to say something when a new, unwanted voice spoke up. "What? Fawning over Potter and his new tag along, Parvati? How low can you fall before you realize that you're just wanting the attention?"
Three very annoyed heads and one inquisitive one turned to see one Ron Prewitt standing behind them with a scowl on his face. He had put on more weight than when Harry had last saw the backstabbing Weasel. He wasn't fat yet, but he was certainly out of shape.
"Prewitt," Parvati snarled, "mind your own bloody business and stay the hell out of mine."
"What's wrong? Can't take the truth, bitch?" Ron sneered.
Parvati stepped forward, but Neville stopped her. He turned to Ron and said in his cold monotone, "I suggest you choose your next words carefully, Ron. I will not be responsible for what happens if you put your foot in your mouth again."
"Whoa, Neville, when'd you start speaking in a monotone?" Harry asked. "It suits you, Bro."
Unfortunately, this brought Ron's attention to Harry. "And you, you were supposed to be my friend! Yet you left me to become an outcast in my own House!"
"And you were supposed to be mine! That changed when I heard yours and Dumble's plans! I will not be anyone's little puppet, and I definitely will not let you have your way with MY Hermione! You brought all this on yourself!"
"Bloody git! She was supposed to be mine! But YOU had to come in and take her! Bloody Famous Harry Potter gets whatever he wants! Well, not anymore! Accio, girl!" Ron shouted, pointing his wand at Cassiopeia.
However, he wasn't powerful enough for that, so he just summoned her dragon doll. She gasped as tears gathered in her eyes. "Mr. Igneel!" she cried.
"You mean this dirty thing?" Ron sneered at her. He held the plushy in his hands looked like he was going to rip it in two.
Killing Intent flooded the hallway as Harry glared at Ron. A yellow magic circle appeared below his right fist. Bright light encased his whole arm.
"Ron," Harry said in a voice that made the mountain-sized monsters back at Fiore cower in fear, "give Cassiopeia her dragon back now or I'll make you regret being here."
"Oh, really, Potter?" Ron spat. He grinned stupidly as he said, "Let's see you try!" He ripped the dragon's head clean off, shocking Neville and Parvati. Cassiopeia was wide eyed as her sniffles turned to wails. Ron grinned at a job well done before Harry appeared in front of him, fist cocked back for a punch.
"Solaria Flare!" he shouted as his light encased fist collided with Ron's freckled face. The resulting blast sent Ron flying through an unoccupied classroom and through a window. Luckily for the red headed git, they were on the ground floor, so he landed on the grass of one of Hogwart's many courtyards. Students outside saw Ron fall and went to aide him, not because they liked him, but because it was expected of them.
Harry glared Ron's direction a bit before turning around. The light around his fist began to dissipate. He walked over to where the pieces of Cassiopeia's favorite doll were sitting on the ground, but someone beat him to them.
The person, whom Harry could tell was female, grabbed the pieces of the plushy, and, with a wave of her wand, the pieces flew back together, good as new. The girl quickly cast a cleaning charm on the dragon plushy to make it look brand new. She walked over to Cassiopeia and said, "Here, kid. You're dragon's eh okay."
Cassiopeia looked up from her crying to see her plushy good as new. Her eyes widened as she squealed, "Mr. Igneel!" She grabbed the plushy and held it close to her. "You're okay!" She looked over at the mystery girl and smiled. She quickly latched onto her and said, "Thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you!"
The girl chuckled. "No sweat, kid. It might not be a phoenix, but your dragon just rose from the ashes."
Harry smiled. "Thanks a lot, Ice Queen," he said. "I can't thank you enough."
"That was very nice of you, Greengrass," Neville commented.
The newly named Ice Queen Daphne Greengrass, glared at Harry, then at Neville. "Do not call me that, Potter. And are you implying that I'm not nice, Longbottom?"
"No, no," Neville said, holding his hands up in surrender. "I'm just commenting on the act."
"Well, I am nice, thank you very much," Daphne huffed. "I could've just waltzed away and not said or done anything, but chose not to."
"And again, I thank you," Harry said. A low rumbling was heard, and they all looked to Cassiopeia, who blushed. Harry chuckled. "Well, let's get Cassi to the Great Hall before she dies of hunger." They all chuckled. Cassiopeia tried to glare at them.
Great Hall, Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry
Draco walked into the Great Hall and made his way to the Gryffindor table. Since the Guardians were formed, they made it a habit to sit at different House's table when not an important feast like the one at the beginning of term, Halloween, or the one at the end of term; mainly the Gryffindor table because it was the biggest. They usually steered clear of the Slytherin table because it was the smallest by far and Garret Rowen usually sat there. It was easier to just stay out of his way.
Draco sat down at his usual spot to the resident redheads (Ginny, Tracey, and Susan) arguing about something.
"I'm telling you, there's nothing wrong with the formula!" Tracey said. "I went over it thirteen times! It will work!"
"If you're even a fraction of an inch off with the formula, the spell will backfire with very explosive consequences, Trace," Susan explained, frowning. "I do not doubt your skill; I'm simply stating the facts."
"And don't you think the wand movement is incorrect?" Ginny asked. "I think it'd be better if you found a better one."
Tracey glared at the younger redhead. "I chose that particular movement because it allows any excessive magic that might've built up to be pushed out and make a sort of protective dome. Less chance of the caster harming his/her self that way."
"What's going on with them?" Draco asked with a raised eyebrow as the girls continued to argue.
"They're discussing Tracey's Percussion charm again," Luna said. She was currently making….something. Draco couldn't really make out what it was.
"Ah."
"They're disturbing my breakfast is what they're doing," Seamus commented as he took a swig of pumpkin juice. "They've been at it since Tracey sat down. Which begs the question of where Greengrass is. She and Tracey are usually inseparable."
"She mentioned going to talk to my sister when I asked," Padma Patil said, taking a bite of her bacon. "Something about their Arithmancy homework."
"Hey! You'll never guess what just happened!" Theodore shouted as skidded to a halt in front of the other Guardians.
Draco raised an eyebrow, but stayed quiet. Pansy Parkinson, a newer recruit to the Guardians after Draco and Neville, with careful maneuvering, got her father arrested for assaulting and raping his wife and her (Draco wanted to rip the man's genitals off and stuff them down the bastard's throat when he learned about that. And Neville, well, Neville had to be knocked out so he didn't get sent to Azkaban himself), spoke up. "Well, I'd very much like to hear it, Theo. Please, continue." She had become very soft-spoken since the incident.
"The Weasel got sent to the Medical Wing, his entire right cheek bone shattered almost beyond repair!" Theodore told them.
Terry raised an eyebrow. "What else is new? Students send Ron to the Medical Wing all the time." Students didn't particularly like Ron. Teachers couldn't technically punish anybody, because they never knew who did it.
"Yeah, but he never did anything as stupid as just did. Well, not counting three years ago anyway," Theodore mused. He shook his head and continued, "No, the bloody git went and ripped the head off that Cassiopeia girl's dragon doll, and Potter sent him flying!" He slapped his hands together loudly. "WHAM! Straight through a classroom and through a window! Too bad they were already on the ground floor. The Weasel got off easy there."
Everyone was stunned by the stupidity Ron had showed. Wasn't he there last night when he threatened Dumbledore when the old man said he was going to alter Harry's and Cassiopeia's memories? Didn't he feel the oppressive aura Harry exhibited?
They were broken out of their musings by a loud shout: "WHO THE HELL DO YOU THINK YOU ARE THREATENING ME, OLD MAN! I'M NOT A STUDENT ANYMORE, REMEMBER?! I TOLD THE IDOIT TO QUIT, BUT HE DIDN'T LISTEN! IT'S NOT MY FAULT IF I NEARLY BROKE HIM! NEXT TIME I'LL JUST CRUSH HIS FUCKING RIB CAGE! I DO NOT TOLERATE ANY ATTACKS AGAINST MY SISTER! IF HE OR YOU FOR THAT MATTER TRY ANYTHING ELSE, I'LL SHOW YOU WHY THE FAIRY TAIL GUILD IS CONSIDERED THE STRONGEST, CRAZIEST, AND MOST DESTRUCTIVE GUILD IN ALL OF FIORE!"
The doors of the Great Hall opened, revealing a very pissed off Harry heading straight for the Gryffindor table with Cassiopeia right by his side. Neville, Parvati, and Daphne trailed behind them, their faces pale. Harry sat down a seat away from Draco while Cassiopeia sat between the two, a look of innocent curiosity on her face.
"Freakin' manipulative, senile, infuriating old coot," Harry grumbled as he grabbed a plate for Cassiopeia and himself.
"I take it he tried to punish you for hurting his precious Weasel?" Draco asked.
Harry looked at Draco a moment before shrugging. "Something like that. Even tried to guilt me into giving up Cassi for being so violent in front of her." Harry scoffed. "As if it mattered. She's practically grown up in Fairy Tail. If the Guild ain't in an all-out brawl, there's something seriously wrong." He noticed Draco's raised eyebrow and added, "Fairy Tail is like one giant family. And like any giant family, there's gonna be a fight or two. Or three. Or a hundred." Harry shrugged. "Anyway, Cassi's not a stranger to violence, are you Cassi?"
Cassiopeia smiled up at her brother and shook her head. "Nope!" she said.
"Isn't she the cutest?!" Parvati gushed.
"I agree, Parvati, she's too cute!" Lavender squealed quietly. Cassiopeia giggled.
Harry smiled at Cassiopeia before turning to Draco. "I guess I owe you an apology," he said to the shocked Slytherin. "Even as you were a jackass, I was one right back. I didn't want to be around you because you reminded me of my cousin Dudley, arrogant, pompous, full of yourself, and a bully. Then you insulted Ron, who at the time was the only one my age to accept me for me. Only now do I see it was just a ruse," he mumbled. He shook his head and continued, "Anyways, sorry for being a git."
"In your defense, the Weasel was 99% of your problem," Draco said smirking. "But you're right. I was a git. Just took a deranged father kidnapping Muggleborn witches to see it," he said without even batting an eyelash. "I, to, apologize. How's about we start over?"
"Sound's good."
Draco smiled. "Hello," he started holding his hand out to Harry, "I'm Malfoy, Draco Malfoy."
Harry had to bite back a James Bond joke. "I'm Potter," Harry responded, shaking Draco's hand, "Harry Potter."
"Great, it's not enough to have one, but now we have two James Bonds," Hannah said as she sat down. She had been talking to a fellow Hufflepuff about a homework assignment and just got back to the Gryffindor table. Cedric Diggory came with her in an effort to see how Harry had been doing the past three years (six for Harry).
Both boys grinned at her. "Why bother messing with perfection?" they asked, not unlike a certain pair of redheaded twins. Everyone laughed.
"Excuse me? 'Vould you mind if I sat here 'vith you all?"
Harry looked up and saw Viktor standing behind him. Harry shrugged. "It's a free country far as I know. I don't mind." Viktor nodded as he sat next to Draco.
"So, you know about 007?" Harry asked his old rival, before a small, excited voice broke in.
"You're name means 'Dragon'?!" Cassiopeia asked excitedly, stars visible in her wide blue eyes as she stared at Draco.
Draco blinked while Harry fought back laughter. "Yes," Draco relented.
Cassiopeia smiled brightly as she squealed and latched onto Draco. Draco was taken aback. Harry laughed.
"Congrats, Draco, you're her new favorite person. She loves dragons."
"Not as much as my big brother!" Cassiopeia said as turned and hugged her brother. She kissed his cheek and said, "No one here is better than my big brother!"
Draco was confused. "Um, Po-Harry," he said, "mind explaining a few things, please?"
Harry grinned. "Oh, sure." He began to load Cassiopeia's plate while seemingly checking the food.
"Don't worry about the food or drink, Harry," Neville told him. "We have Dobby screen our food for potions twice a day every day for every meal. Quadruple now that you've returned."
"Thanks," Harry nodded. He returned to loading her plate as he started talking. "Well, Cassi got into dragons when my best friend in Fiore gave her that dragon plushy she carries around. She also loved the concept that he was basically a dragon due to his magic, and thus started her obsession. And the other is that I'm just the epically cool big brother." He placed the plate down in front of Cassiopeia and poured her some pumpkin juice. "Here you go, Cassi."
"Thank you, Big Brother!" she said as she, eloquently, began eating.
"She has impeccable manners," Pansy complemented.
"Her mother taught her," Harry shrugged as he fixed his own plate.
"What do you mean about your friend's magic basically making him a dragon?" Draco asked.
"He uses Dragon Slayer Magic, a magic that has been lost to Fiore's history," Harry explained, shocking them. "It's lost because only a dragon can teach it to a human. And any human using Dragon Magic is called a 'Dragon Slayer,' hence, the name."
"'Vouldn't that mean your friend was taught by a dragon?" Viktor asked.
"Yeah, it would. In all actuality, my friend, Natsu, was raised by a dragon."
The shell-shocked students were amazed. They never heard of such a magic. And they had never heard of a dragon teaching magic to a human, much less raising one. "I take it dragons in Fiore are have more sapience than ones here?" Luna asked dreamily.
Harry nodded. Luna looked at him inquisitively. "The heliopaths seem fond of you," she said.
Harry looked at her. "Heliopaths, huh?" He smirked slightly as he took a bite of his scrambled eggs.
"Ignore her," Hannah said. "She tries to tell people that her imaginary animals are real."
"They are real," Luna told the brunette.
"I'm sure they are," Harry conceited, smiling at her. "Hey, that reminds me…" He took off his backpack and began looking through it. "I have some books here on magic from Fiore that have been taking up space in my backpack. I'm sure you'll enjoy learning. Plus, learning a magic from Fiore will strengthen your magic, so, bonus."
Everyone's eyes widened. Was he-
"Aha! Here's one!" Harry exclaimed as he pulled out an old, torn tome that had seen better days. Harry frowned. "You know? I found this a month and a half ago in the library of a Dark Guild we were fighting," he reminisced. He shook his head and said, "For some reason, I took it. Could never even open the bloody thing, though. And now," he handed the book to Draco, "I have a weird feeling it's calling out to you."
Draco frowned, but otherwise grabbed the book. Instantly, the binding straightened, the pages whitened, and the colors returned to it, showing a depiction of a galaxy with the word "GALAXIA" in bright gold letters. The lock on the tome unlocked and fell off. Harry was wide eyed.
"Well, that's something," Harry commented. He saw the name and said, "'Galaxia?' That's the exact opposite of my magic!"
"Huh? What do you mean?" Draco asked.
"I use Solaria, a caster magic that revolves around light manipulation. Galaxia is a caster magic that revolves around darkness manipulation." Draco's eyes widened. "I guess it makes sense," Harry mused. "I use the Lost Magic of light magic, and my old rival is chosen to wield the one of dark magic. Talk about poetic justice."
Neville shook his head. "Only you would think that, Harry."
Harry grinned as Ginny spoke up. "What's Lost Magic?"
"Lost Magic is a magic that has been lost to the passage of time," Harry explained. "It's very hard to even come across it. I only come across Solaria because Gramps, the Guild Master, had a tome about it in Fairy Tail Archives."
"Thanks, Harry," Draco said in awe. A magic that was lost to the passage of time…this was amazing.
"Great! Now," he rummaged through the backpack until he found another book, "I think this one will suit the Ice Queen greatly," he declared, getting a glare from Daphne and snickers from the others.
He handed her the book, and she read the title: A Complete Guide to Learning Ice Make Magic: by Ur. She raised an eyebrow. "Ice Make Magic?"
"It's a type of Maker Magic, a type that gives magic a physical form. The writer of that book is actually the teacher of another friend of mine in Fiore. He claims she was the best Ice Make mage in all Fiore before she died." He looked at her said, "I tried to give this to him so he'd have something to remember her by, but he told me to give it to someone who would benefit greatly from it. I think that person is you."
Daphne felt honored. "Thank you," she said.
"Don't mention it," Harry told her smiling as he took a bite out of his bacon.
"Pretty Lady!" Cassiopeia's voice called out. They all turned to see Fleur enter the Hall, and Cassiopeia smiling at her. Cassiopeia waved at her and giggled.
Fleur smiled back and changed course. She really wanted to learn about this dimension Harry had been staying in. Not to mention learn why her Allure seemed to not affect him. But, the main reason was because his sister had been the first non-Veela to ever compliment her, save for her father.
She came and sat down on the other side of Harry and said, "'Ello, 'Arry."
Harry smiled at her. "Hello, Miss Delacour."
"Hello, Pretty Lady," Cassiopeia said as she looked up from her breakfast.
Fleur smiled at the four year old. "'Ello, to you to, Cassiopeia."
"Why's she here?" Ginny mumbled.
Cassiopeia looked at her. "Why did you say that?"
"It's because Ginny and the other girls are jealous of Fleur's beauty, Cass," Harry explained.
Cassiopeia blinked. "Why? They all pretty, too," she said, oblivious to the fact Fleur was a Veela. The girls looked at her bewilderedly. "You all very pretty. You, you, you, you, you, you, you, and you are all pretty," she said as she pointed to Fleur, Daphne, Pansy, Hannah, Luna, Parvati, Padma, and Lavender in order.
The three redheads scowled. "What about us?" Tracey asked Cassiopeia.
Cassiopeia looked at them and shook her black locks. "Nope, you three are redheads," she said simply, leaving the three girls shocked. Before they could be offended, however, Cassiopeia continued. "No redhead is prettier than Big Sis Erza." She smiled widely.
Susan raised an eyebrow at Harry. "Erza?" she questioned.
"Another friend back home," Harry said as he fumbled through his backpack again. "Erza Scarlet's her name. I have a picture with her in it here somewhere." He pulled out a large notebook and scowled. "Who here's good at cracking formulas?"
"Oh, oh, me! I live for cracking formulas!" Tracey exclaimed.
Harry smiled and handed her the notebook. "This notebook contains formulas for a powerful magic called Amaterasu. It's very complex and very hard to understand, but from what Hermione told me of you, Tracey, I'm sure you're up to the task."
Tracey grinned. "Hermione never could figure out how I could crack formulas so fast," she mused.
Harry rummaged through the pack and found three different items. A book, a manila folder, and a stack of notes held together by a paper clip. He scowled again. "I really need to clean this thing out," he muttered. He looked over at the three people he would be competing against in the Tournament and smiled.
"Hey, Cedric, Viktor, Fleur," he called out. The three looked up at him. "I have some perfect magics for the three of you." He handed the book to Viktor, the manila folder to Fleur, and the stack of papers to Cedric. "This way, we're all on level ground when the First Task starts. Normally, a normal mage back in Fiore would take several weeks to learn the basis of a magic; but, as Hermione and I discovered, wizards here may be magically weaker, but the weakened magic is more versatile. This makes it easier for a British wizard to learn a set type of magic quicker than a Fiore wizard. The best part is, like I said, using a magic like this strengthens you magic by making denser. A British wizard's magic is less dense than a Fiore wizard's because they use a wand as a focus. The magic loosens up so it can flow through the wand easier."
"But wouldn't that render our wands useless?" Neville asked.
Harry shook his head. "Your wand is an extension of yourself. The magic loosens up at first in order to help you learn magic easier. The wand adapts to the wizard's magic appropriately throughout the wizard's life. Or, that's how Remus put it."
The Hogwarts students left it at that. The three Champions were looking at the gifts Harry gave them throughout his explanation. Viktor had a book on Iron Make Magic, Fleur was looking at notes about a magic called Take Over, and Cedric's papers were on a magic called Bullet Magic.
"So, we will be able to use this for the First Task?" Fleur asked.
"If you practice it hard enough, yeah. I have full faith that you three will at least be at novice rank for the tournament," Harry said as he dug through his bag again. This time, however, he grinned. "Third time's always the charm!"
Harry placed a picture on the table for all to see, granted it was hard for some because they were on the other side of the table, but still. The picture was of Harry, Hermione, and the others from Tenrou Island just after Acnologia attacked and left. They were all banged up, but they were all smiling and having a great time.
"See her?" Harry asked pointing to a very beautiful redhead. "That's Erza."
"Dear Merlin, she is beautiful," Theodore said. "And her hair. Her family name does her hair justice."
Harry smiled sadly. "Yeah," he mumbled.
"Well, at least we know Hermione's doing okay," Tracey said smirking at Harry.
He grinned. "That she is. A little touch and go at first because of her father's death, but she made it through."
"Yeah, her dad sure made an impression. They call him 'The-Man-Who-Refused-To-Die.'"
"What is it with wizards and extremely long titles? The-Boy-Who-Lived, Albus 'I-Have-So-Many-Names-And-You-Don't' Dumbledore, and now this?"
Neville chuckled. "I've asked myself that several times, as well."
"Who's the pink haired guy?" Susan asked pointing at Natsu.
Harry grinned again. "That's Natsu."
Her eyes widened. "The guy you said was raised by a dragon?!" The others were looking at the photo in shock.
Harry chuckled. "Yep. And he's not the only one," he said. He pointed to a black haired youth with red eyes and several piercings. "This is Gajeel Redfox. He was raised by a dragon, too. As well as her," he points to the youngest in the picture; a girl with bright blue hair, "Wendy Marvel."
Neville whistled. Those three must be some tough sons (and daughter) of guns to be raised by dragons. Viktor was thinking along the same lines.
Draco, however, was examining the photo. "I take it this is my cousin?" he asked pointing at an older and healthier looking Sirius Black, whose arm was thrown around Remus's shoulder.
The Solaria mage nodded. "That's him. Sirius Black. S-Class wizard of Fairy Tail and Cassi's father."
"Daddy!" Cassiopeia said as she looked up from her meal to look at the photo.
"Who's the girl glaring at Erza?" Ginny asked.
"That's Mirajane. She and Erza are long-time rivals," Harry said.
"And the very short old guy?" Parvati asked.
Harry smiled again. "That's Makarov Dreyer, third master of Fairy Tail."
"Must be one heck of a guy," Neville commented.
"He is. The only person inside the Guild that stands a chance of beating him is this guy," Harry pointed at Gildarts, "Gildarts Clive, the Ace of Fairy Tail. He specializes in a magic called Crash Magic. It's so powerful that he has to keep his full attention on controlling it at all times, which means he gets a bit scatter-brained sometimes. He could literally destroy a town without ever realizing it."
Everyone paled at that statement. That was one scary dude.
Fleur, in an effort to change the subject, asked, "Do you have any pictures of Cassiopeia's mother?"
Harry smiled at the Veela. "Sure do. Hold on a sec." He dug through his backpack and found another picture, one that was taken before Cassiopeia was born. The picture consisted of Harry, Sirius, Hermione, Sen, Remus, Emma, Natsu, Gray, Erza, Makarov, and Porlyusica standing in front of Marauder's Place.
"Here she is Fleur," Harry said showing her the picture. "The silver haired woman is Sen."
Fleur examined the woman in the picture. She had to admit, the woman was stunning. She could see why Cassiopeia thought so highly of her mother. Fleur looked over at Cassiopeia and smiled. "You were right," she said, "she's very beautiful."
"Told you," Cassiopeia said a little too smugly. Okay, way too smugly.
Harry laughed. He took a swig of his pumpkin juice when Pansy asked, "Who's the woman that looks like Professor McGonagall with pink hair?"
Harry nearly shot pumpkin juice from his nose. He composed himself and answered, "That's Porlyusica. She's a healer and Makarov's old friend. She used to be the go-to lady for all of the Guild's aliments until she trained Emma, Hermione's mom, in a bit of Alchemy so she could live her life of seclusion in relative peace. Porlyusica's not a very social woman."
"Wait, Hermione's mum knows Alchemy?" Daphne asked.
"Well, you don't have to be a wizard to do Potions or Alchemy," Harry said. "In fact, Porlyusica has absolutely no magic to speak of."
"You mean she's a Muggle?!" Seamus asked incredulously.
"Well, it's not uncommon. Everyone in that dimension knows of magic. It's only about 10% of the population that are actually wizards," Harry said, getting wide eyes from everyone. "Potions and Alchemy are just advanced forms of cooking, in my opinion. It's not hard for non-magicals to use them."
"The whole dimension you were in knows of magic?" Cedric asked.
"Yep. Fiore's known as the magic capital of the world. We produce the most magical items than any other kingdom. Magic of all kinds is found in every home and bought and sold in every marketplace. It's mostly a tool, a mundane part of life for most of the population." Harry's explanation had the Guardians and Champions in awe.
"Well, I must say that I'm impressed, Mr. Potter," McGonagall said from behind them, shocking all but Harry and Cassiopeia, who was still focused on her food. She had just come from the Medical Wing after checking on Ronald Prewitt when she heard Fleur ask about Cassiopeia's mother. Curious, she decided to investigate. She wasn't very amused at Pansy's little comparison (even though she had to admit Miss Parkinson was right).
"P-Professor! I-I didn't see you there!" Pansy stuttered.
"It's quite alright, Miss Parkinson, but I do not appreciate the comparison you gave," she said, making Pansy look back down at her food. McGonagall turned to Harry and asked, "May I inquire what your plans are for today, Mr. Potter?"
"You may," Harry told her. "I plan on testing out a new attack this morning so Cassi can see me breathe fire, then I thought I could convince some teachers to let Cassi and myself sit in on some classes so I can show her how boring-I mean how classes work here," he added quickly when McGonagall glared at him. Everyone save Viktor snickered at him.
"Big Brotherrrr!" Cassiopeia whined, her food now empty. "You don't need to do that! You already strong! You won't get hurt!"
Harry chuckled. "But I've never had to breathe fire before, Cassi," he told the four year old. "I'm out of practice. I gotta test it out before I try it because I don't want you to get hurt. Okay?"
She calmed down slightly. "'Kay," she said, finishing her pumpkin juice. She scowled. "I don't like this."
Everyone chuckled at her. "You can request something different," Draco told her.
"I personally like a glass of orange juice," Viktor mused to himself. "More healthy. Helps with vision."
McGonagall smiled at them. "Well, I have no problems with the two of you sitting in on my class today. I have sixth year Transfiguration first, if you can make it."
"Oh, I'm sure we will," Harry said. He stood up and said, "Well, I've got a promise to keep to my sister, and I'd best get to delivering it. Cassi gets evil when I don't keep my promises to her."
"Cassi not evil," Cassiopeia huffed puffing her cheeks out angrily.
Ginny squealed. "She sooooo cute!" she exclaimed, which was followed by the others females at the table.
Harry rolled his eyes. "Whatever, you say, Cassi. Come on." He motioned for Cassiopeia to follow. She quickly complied.
"Bye, Grandma Meanie!" Cassiopeia shouted behind her, giggling at McGonagall's dumbfounded expression. Harry laughed loudly.
"I'll have to talk to Sirius if I ever see him again," the cat Animagus muttered.
"Grandma Meanie?" Draco inquired smirking slightly.
McGonagall glared at him. "Next time you call me that, Mr. Malfoy, I'll be taking thirty points from Slytherin." She smirked at his paling face. Who said she couldn't pull pranks?
Harry walked out of the Great Hall with Cassiopeia about the time Snape was stalking in. Snape looked like he was about to curse someone to oblivion. The look scared Cassiopeia.
"Um, you okay, Professor?" Harry asked.
Snape looked at him. He had just been talking to Dumbledore and was in a very foul mood. "I'm fine, Mr. Potter," he said frostily.
Harry nodded. "Okay. Just don't let the old ass get to you too much, Professor," he said, shocking the Potions Master. "He's not worth the effort yet. Oh, yeah! Before I forget," Harry rummaged through his backpack and pulled out a leather bond book, "I just come across this book this morning. And seeing as I'm abysmal at Potions, I think you'll benefit from it."
Snape raised an eyebrow and took the book. His eyes widened at the title: Potionieer Magic: by Salazar Sytherin.
He looked at Harry and said, "And you're just giving this to me?"
"Like I said, I'm abysmal at Potions. And that magic is a more battle based form of Potions. So, I think you'll get more out of it than I can. Well, Cassi and I have business to attend to. See ya!"
Harry left with Cassiopeia at his side, leaving Snape standing there dumbfounded. Maybe Potter wasn't like James after all. James would've never let go of something that belonged to one of the Founders. Sytherin's it may be, but James would've used the knowledge in here to further torment him.
Snape looked at the book once more. Yes, this was worth looking at later. Anything that played off his strengths was worth the time to research.
*Hari o mitsukete: means 'Locate Harry'

Black Trailer
Train in the middle of a forest
Adam laughed loudly. This was what he lived for! The rush…the adrenaline. It had been a while since he'd been challenged like this.
The Spider Droid jumped into the air towards Adam. Adam smirked. "When the rose wilts," he muttered as the droid closed in. When it was within striking distance, he unsheathed Wilt and slashed the droid, and an explosion of aura rocked the area. The droid began to dissolve into dust under the fierceness of the attack. Leaves from the surrounding trees flew around the area in a fierce whirlwind. Like rose petals in the wind, Adam mused as he sheathed Wilt.
"The petals scatter," Adam muttered, finishing out his little ritual of releasing his most powerful attack. He turned around and saw his partner, Blake Belladonna, waiting on the next car. He ran over to the end of the car he was on when he heard her say, "Goodbye."
His eyes widened behind his mask. She grabbed Gambol Shroud and cut the clamp holding the cars together. Acting fast, Adam jumped to the car Blake was on. Blake was in shock as Adam landed.
Adam turned to look at his partner. "Is there is a reason you decided to defect, Blake?" he asked.
Blake hesitated. "I-I can't take it anymore, Adam," she finally said. "I don't want to kill people. That isn't why I joined White Fang all those years ago. I refuse to be a part of that." She placed a hand on Gambol Shroud and said, "And if you try to stop me, I will fight back."
Adam looked at her for a moment. He shrugged and said, "Well, if you defect, the blame ends up falling to me. So, logic dictates that I either kill or join you."
Her grip on Gambol Shroud tightened. He smirked at her and said, "So…where to next…partner?"
Blake blinked. "You're not going to kill me?"
"Why? What would it accomplish? And besides, you're my partner. And I'm sure you're going to get into trouble if I don't come with ya. I might get another decent fight if I join you." He smirked at her.
She felt her cheeks heat up. She was about to say something when more droids appeared behind them. Adam smirked.
"See? I told you I'd get a good fight if I joined you," he said to her.
She glared at him. "Let's just get this over with," she mumbled falling into a fight stance.
Adam grinned. "Of course." He put a hand on Wilt while his trigger finger pressed against Blush's trigger.
(Play No Reason by Sum 41, Adam's theme song for my crossover)
Adam slashed a droid's head off and shot another a few times before sheathing Wilt. Blake was surrounded by droids as she did a couple of diagonal slashes and all the pieces of the droids fell to the ground. Adam threw a droid into the air with Wilt and proceeded to pepper it with bullet holes courtesy of Blush. He sheathed Wilt while Blake turned Gambol into its gun form. She attached the ribbon around her wrist to the trigger and swung Gambol around wide, ricocheting arcs, bullets flying around in tangent with her swings.
Adam just cut through three more droids when two Spider Droids appeared. The bull Faunus turned to Blake and said, "See? What did I tell you? Now, buy me some more time. Let's see if I can cut through two this time."
(Stop No Reason)
End of Black Trailer
