Meet Nalah.
The sunlight brightens the young lovers tent with a wake up calling done by the birds, tweeting in the distance. Eureka wakes up, smiling and thinking about the previous night. After her slight stretch she looks over at her side to see her man still sleeping. Except, he was not there. Eureka with a disappointed frown stands up and unzips their tent. Shading her eyes from the daring bright sun, she looks around to find her beloved.
Renton was already wide awake playing with the children. With Maeter on his back, Renton is running after Link, Maurice watching while enjoying his breakfast. Eureka felt a strong motherly pride, watching her family laughing and enjoying themselves. Renton suddenly trips over onto the ground and Maurice chuckles at the show.
" Awe my head"Renton whines rubbing his messy hair.
" Renton are you alright?"Eureka walks up to him smiling.
" Yeah I think so"Renton laughs and looks at the kids.
" Lets do that again!" Maeter begs
" Again ,again!" Link cheers and Maurice watches his family in bright spirits.
" Nah I am tired now. Maybe later?" Renton stands up and walks to Eureka for a hug.
" Awww" The kids whined until they got distracted by a butterfly and started running after it.
" Haha you can see we are all so lively this morning. How did you sleep?"
" I slept fine but when I woke up, you weren't there and that just kinda" Eureka shyly looks down" got me disappointed."
" Oh sorry Eureka, I got woken up and asked to help butter bread for the soup, then Link through a ball at me and that's how I ended up chasing them.
" It's alright. I'm going to see if they still need some help with the soup." Eureka smiles at Renton and begins to walk.
" Wait up, I'll come with you" But Renton felt a sudden heavy hand on his shoulder. "Oh no you dont, I want to talk to you."
" Holland!" Talho calls from the ship." I am going with Hilda to the shops alright?" Talho waves at him excitedly and gets into one of the LFOs with Hilda.
" Okay, but stay with Hilda and becareful! ... Oh and don't come back late!" Holland calls back at her.
" We won't be late!" Talho waves again then sits down and off they go.
" Bye! "Holland waves back and stands in worry of his irresponsible wife.
" Umm Holland, you wanted to speak to me?" Holland snaps back and looks at Renton, realizing he was still grasping Renton's shoulder.
" Right umm...I need you and Eureka to get some Stuzers after you have eaten." Holland lets go of Renton's shoulder.
" Stu...Stu what?" Renton asks in confusion as he rubs his arm.
" Eureka will know, ask her. I need to get back to the ship. Something got picked up on our radar." Holland says in a hurry.
" Alright Holland." Renton leaves and sits down by the dead fire waiting for Eureka.
" Here Renton."Eureka hands him a plate of soup and bread.
" Thanks Eureka , wow this looks good" Renton hungrily smiles as he takes his dips his bread in the soup and takes a bite. "Hmmm" Renton groans in satisfaction. Eureka sits down next to him and starts eating too.
" What did Holland want?" Eureka asks before taking another bite.
" Holland asked us to get some Stuzers? When we are finished eating." Renton answered while gobbling down his soup
" Oh okay." Eureka replies with a neutral look.
" Eureka...What is a Stuzer any way and where will we have to go to find it?" Renton places his plate down and curiously looks at Eureka.
" It looks like a large oval orange with green markings when ripe, it has a mixed coconut and papaya flavour which makes it great for certain special meals. It's will be good for Talho. We will have to go to the Floating Island to get it."
" Oh, it sounds tasty but that would mean we'd have to travel now." Renton replies while licking his fingers.
" It is good I guess, and yeah we will have to take Nirvash with us. "Eureka takes another sip of her soup and sweetly smiles.
" You really did great with this soup Eureka, what was it?"Renton smiled
" It's just plain chicken soup" Eureka simply answers and looks at him abit confused, finishing her soup.
" Its wonderful, it tastes better than most chicken soup I had. Very creamy and isn't spicey at all."
" Oh thank you Renton. "Eureka blushes a little and gives Renton a kiss on his cheek.
" I'll take your plate for you."Renton takes their plates and leaves to wash them. Once done, Eureka will look a bit impatient.
" Come Renton lets go get some Stuzers. I want to be back soon to enjoy more time with you and the kids."
" Right."
Renton and Eureka reaches Nirvash and both place their hands on their dear friend.
" Hello Nirvash."Eureka smiles placing her head against it.
" Hello Eureka and Renton how's your morning so far?."Nirvash asks as it opens up the doors for them to enter.
Renton gasps as he hears Nirvash speaking, completely forgetting that their connection has become one and he was finally able to hear Nirvash just like Eureka.
" I'm doing fine." Eureka smiles and climbing in.
" Yeah I'm also doing good "Renton nods and enters after Eureka.
" Renton did you just answer Nirvash?" Eureka asks looking abit confused.
" Yeah. I can hear Nirvash... I think our connection together has gotten so close... that I'm almost like you Eureka."0
" Wow, thats amazing Renton." Eureka happily looks at Renton, Renton smiles back.
"...Nirvash we have to go to Floating Land ."Eureka excitedly requests.
" Sure, hold on." Nirvash starts up. Both Eureka and Renton holds onto the Amiter Drive and pulls onto it, the usual green mist with Eureka's name appears.
" Okay let's go." Renton orders Nirvash.
They lifted off and flew away.
" Wow Eureka look" Eureka leans over onto Rentons side to have a better view on what he was pointing at.
" The stardust always looks so pretty here."Eureka says looking at the stardust in amusement.
" Is that the Floating land Eureka?"
" Yes, that's it, we got here so fast. Normally it takes an hour to get here."
The sweet calming moment before landing was ruined when suddenly the whole cockpit lights up in red with Nirvash's automated voice repeats, "Warning, Warning. Incoming Missiles"
" Eureka what's going on?" Renton panics as he tries to see where the missiles are.
" Someone's firing at us." Eureka turns the wheel and to avoid every missile.
" Who's shooting at us?" Renton asks and looks at the raider.
" It's someone on the Island. "Eureka answers as she orders Nirvash to find a landing away from the danger.
As soon as they landed, Renton and Eureka quickly looks around and notice a lady, roughly in her 30's, her long fire-like hair blowing in the wind, she standing there facing the barrel of a very large gun at them.
"Get out and put your hands on your head. Try anything funny and I will blow you all into dust!" The lady yells defensively.
Renton climbs out first, ignoring Eureka crying out asking him to stay.
"Why are you shooting at us!?" Renton angrily yells at her.
" We don't need anymore of your people coming here with your disease, killing off all our hard work!" The lady yells, threateningly points the gun at Renton.
" We don't have any kind of disease and we are not here to kill anything! All we want is Stuzers... and willing to even pay for it." Renton yells back in confusion, walking towards her with his hands up.
The lady noticed that Renton was only just a young adult and didn't have the uniform of the same people threatening them.
"Oh?" She slowly presses a button on her weapon which turned into a simple plain pistol. "Oh I'm sorry. It's just a precaution. We have been having these Military looking guys bringing all kinds of diseases and poisonous like air to this land, threatening for us to give this land up. But you don't look anything like them. Sorry about that." The lady places her arm on her head. Renton successfully approaches her and Eureka jumps out and hurriedly runs to him.
" So you are here for the Stuzers right?" Lady looks at them both.
"Yeah, we just want to buy some. Are we too late?" Renton asks looking worried.
"Oh no, we still have some. But since they have wiped us all out ... growing them has been slow. So the cost might be more than you had hoped."
"Wait... Wiped out?" Eureka says in a gasp.
"Yes, the military really wanted to take this place... and ... took everyone" The lady looks down very emotionally.
" But... you said we?" Renton questions, feeling skeptic.
" Force of habit..." The lady shook her head, ridding of her uprising emotions.
" Oh but then why are you still here."Renton asks as he protectively holds Eureka.
" I need to protect this place, its all I have left and it's the only place where you can find certain fruits and trees."
" Oh ...Well... um could you perhaps help us get some Stuzers?" Eureka asks feeling awkward for being so direct.
" Yes of course, follow me." Lady told them and walked off
Renton and Eureka follows her to a very large tree which almost seemed like 4 trees have melted together becoming one.
" Here is where we grow our Stuzers. But you have to climb up to get it. Luckily these trees might be large but have a lot of strong branches out for you to climb on."
" I'll do it." Renton volunteers and before Eureka could say anything he has already started climbing.
" So what's your name?" The lady asks Eureka politely.
" I am Eureka and his is Renton."
" Wait so you're THE Eureka and he is THE Renton Thurston"
Eureka just nods
" Wow it's a pleasure to meet you, I am Nalah" She smiles and shakes Eureka's hand.
" It's nice to meet you too"
Nalah looks at Renton who was cutting the Stuzers and carefully places them into a bag.
" So is Renton like officially your boyfriend?" Nalah asks with a slight grin on her face
" Yes...he is. "Eureka blushes a bit.
" I think we have enough"Renton shouts from above.
" Ok then come down"
Renton tries climbing down but the slips halfway and falls hard onto the ground.
" RENTON!", Eureka runs to him and holds him in her arms"Are you ok? answer me!"
Renton did not respond. Did not move, but he was breathing and that was just enough for Eureka.
" I must get him back. Please help me!"Eureka beggingly asks.
" But I have to stay here and ..."
" Please Nalah!"
Nalah thought long and hard about it then agreed
At the campsite
Holland was busy helping Matthieu pack away while Moondoggie and Gidget takes the tents into the ship. Eureka arrived and jumped out. She ran to Holland as fast as she could with Nalah carrying Renton not too far behind.
" Holland! Renton fell out of a high tree and..."Eureka stopped mid sentence and saw Holland was staring at Nalah.
" Holland!" Eureka yells, snapping Holland instantly back to her.
" Please! Help Renton!" Eureka begs.
"Take him to Mischa.. have her scan his body for any broken bones." Holland hugs Eureka and she nods then quickly runs to the ship waving at Nalah to follow.
Holland watches Nalah hurry with Eureka.
"Hmm..."
