CHAPTER FOUR
YOU'RE IN MY WAY JOE
As they loaded Chris's dead body into the back of the ambulance joe wheeled over to Lois "Lois I'm so sorry for you're loss, but according to the early reports their saying suicide"
Joe explained which caused Lois to burst out crying and went to cry on Meg's shoulder. "do you want me to stay and help out in any way"
Joe said as wheeled over to Meg "no joe I think we'll be fine"
Meg replied as she started to lead Lois back into the house but then felt a slight sting on her arm and scratch marks on her wrist. "interesting"
Joe said to himself as he noticed the scratch marks to, but before he could say something Meg and Lois had already entered the house. "mom why don't you have a seat and I'll get you some tea"
Meg said as she sat Lois down on the couch then hurried into the kitchen "shit, joes suspects me"
Meg said in a panic silently pacing back and forth "he'll need to be taken out."
A few hours later joe was sitting as his desk in the police station looking over case files when suddenly his phone rang "hello this is Joe Swanson"
"yes officer Swanson this is the coroners, you wanted to be kept up to date on our findings"
the man on the other end of the line responded "go ahead"
"well officer Swanson we did find D.N.A. under the deceased fingernails, and it matched to someone named... Meg Griffin."
"I knew it thank you"
Joe said then immediately hung up the phone and was about to wheel away when the phone suddenly rang "hello"
"Joe! Thank god it's you"
the woman on the other answered panicking but Joe could recognize the voice it was Bonnie "Bonnie what's wrong"
"oh my god, some insane woman broke in and is rampaging through the house"
"don't worry Bonnie I'll be there real quick"
Joe dropped the phone and wheeled off to save his wife. Ten minutes later Joe screeched to a halt in his driveway, quickly got out and wheeled over the front door. After he entered the house he noticed a women sitting on the couch directly across from the front door but it was not Bonnie but instead it was Meg. "Hello Joe"
"Meg! Where's Bonnie?"
"oh Bonnie and the kids are about half way to Pennsylvania to visit her parents... didn't she tell you"
suddenly Joe raised his gun and pointed it at meg "hands in the air Meg, I'm taking you in"
Joe said as he slowly wheeled towards Meg while still pointing his gun at her. "I don't think so joe"
Meg said as she slightly nodded her head, as soon as she did that joe saw something pass by face and was now being choked from behind. "you see Joe, I believe you are a honorable man"
Meg stood up and slowly walked over to Joe then kneeled down in front of him "policemen are meant to uphold the law and justice, but you saw first hand what those people did to me and did nothing!"
as Joe slowly lost consciousness Meg picked up Joes gun that he had dropped out of shock of being choked. Suddenly whoever was choking him loosened the cord around Joes neck, as joe caught his breath he was suddenly struck in the back by baseball bat which forced him to fall out of his wheelchair.
Meg suddenly kicked joe and he rolled onto his back "though to be fare you do deserve a policemen's death, caught off guard in a home invasion, you'll go out a hero... at least in their eyes."
with those final words Meg emptied the entire clip of Joes gun into Joe killing him "what should we do now"
the man asked who was choking Joe. "you trash this place to look like a robbery gone bad"
"and you"
the man responded "I think me and Lois have some overdue bonding to do."
