The tension in the jet was not something I wanted to endure and in fact I had placed myself as far from the alpha males as I could. Tony had opted to remain in the jet rather then fly back to the helicarrier and meet us. And I wanted to punch him, as Steve and he eyed each other. Though my nerves weren't settled by the green gaze watching us either. Loki had been silent the whole trip; Steve and Tony managed to keep their distance but sadly that left me pressing to the wall hand still holding a death grip on whatever I could hold onto as the turbulence rocked us about thousands of miles above the ground.
Not enjoying the trip.

I ignored the voice in my head full well knowing his gaze drifted from me to the two guys who looked about ready snap. Tony's ego was not soothing Steve's obvious anxiety. Loki remained ever silent as Steve voiced his and my mounting concern.
"I don't like it." He was faced away from our prisoner who probably could still hear everything.
"What? Rock of ages giving up so easily?" I gripped onto the metal siding harder annoyance at Tony flaring again.
"Cameron and I don't remember it being that easy. This guy packs a wallop."
Why thank you.
"Shut up." I hissed turning to glare at the bastard. Both turned giving my quizzical looks I shrugged.
"My music was on." That diverted attention away for now.
"Well still you are pretty spry for an older fellow—"
"Tony—"
"What's your thing pilates?" My warning glare was ignored as Tony did his usual, annoy and destroy.
"What?"
"It's like calisthenics; you might have missed a couple things you know...doing time as a Capcycle."
"Tony!" That shut him up though the damage had been done.
"Fury didn't tell me he was calling you in."
"He never does." I interjected hoping, better yet praying that the two would back down for now. I didn't feel like stepping between the Star Spangled man and Rich Bitch.
"Yeah, there's a lot of things Fury doesn't tell you." The jet jolts as thunder claps around us. My heart clenches in surprise as one hand latches tighter onto the metal handle the other somehow becomes attaches to Steve's suit. He turns looking at me a look of surprise in his gaze. I flinch back with a forced smile.
"Sorry."
So the Soilder, eh?

I spare a glance to the side anger clear in it, though I notice Loki seems just as...worried or better yet terrified of the storm as I am.
"What's the matter? Scared of a little lightning?"
"I'm not overly fond of what follows."

"You should be more afraid of the—" Just as I start to quip back the jet rocks in a sudden impact and my knees lock. I fall to the floor clutching on for dear life as Natasha pulls at the controls trying to right the aircraft. I blank out for a few seconds my mind in panic mode. The hatch opens and I panic feeling my hands lose grip on the smooth metal of the floor I slide along for a second only for my brain to restart and I lash out grabbing a cargo net.

"Cameron!" I keep my eyes closed terrified I'll get a bird's eye view of the ground the only thing my brain will let me think, is to hold on. I hear commotion beside me and turn seeing some guy with great hair and huge hammer about ready to pummel someone. I do rather than, think and my leg lashes out colliding with his shin. The brute of a man grunts staggering but his goal is clearly Loki and my flailing kicks do nothing to dissuade him from his course. He grabs Loki in a clearly painful grip begins to twirl the hammer and without a pause they leap from the jet. I stay on the floor my hand still gripping the net for dear life as the cold outside air rushes around me.

"Now there's that guy." Tony has stood up and some part of my brain remembers it was his stupid ass who opened the hatch...
"Another Asgardian?" Natasha is still in the cockpit flying the jet.
"That guy's a friendly?" Steve sounds winded and pretty freaked out, a solid grip grabs my arm. I turn seeing Tony pulling me back.

"Let go of the net Camcorder—"
"You opened the hatch you jerk!"
"Sorry." He pulled me away from the opening and to the chair where Loki had sat. "It doesn't matter if he frees Loki or kills him...The Tesseract is lost. " Tony was on a one track and it meant bad news...
"Stark we need a plan of attack!"
"I have a plan—attack." He fired up his thrusters and was gone weaving through the clouds after Loki and great hair guy. Steve huffed but grabbed a parachute anyways, I gasped finally feeling my heart return to some kind of normal pace.
"Where the heck are you going?"
"I'd sit this one out Cap!"
"I don't see how I can."
"These guys aren't from legend, they're basically Gods."
"There's only one God ma'am, and I'm pretty sure he doesn't dress like that." And with that he was plunging into the storm after everyone else.
"I wonder if his Mom ever asked if he'd jump off the bridge if his friends would..." I stayed in the jet managing the small amount of courage to shut the hatch before plopping back onto the seats to let my breath come back to me.
"You okay?" I shake my head putting it between my knees.
"The next mission can we please use a car?" I ask with a whine, all I get in reply is a chuckle from Nat. We circle for a few minutes before getting a signal from Cap, the cost is clear and they still have Loki, hooray.

After arriving back at base Loki was escorted to the lower decks, where apparently a cell awaited. Coulson took me aside a serious look in his gaze.

"Everything go okay?"
"Yeah fine—"
"Cameron." I rolled my eyes but met his gaze.
" . " O wonderful guest can speak in my mind—
Now don't go spilling our little secret so soon.
Shove it.
I watched Coulson move back to another space in the room. I stayed in the corner just as the screens displayed Loki now in his glass cage.
"In case it is unclear, you try to escape; you so much as scratch that glass—" Some kind of hatch opens up air rushes in.
"Thirty thousand feet straight down in a steel trap. You get how it works?" The hatch closes, point has been made.
"Ant, boot." Loki chuckles, and it sends that gross shivery feeling down my spine. "It's an impressive cage." He wanders around the space though his eyes never leave Fury.
"Though not made I think...for me."
"Built for something a lot stronger than you."
"Oh I've heard." His gaze breaks from Fury's to the camera feed, and I push myself even further back into the wall.
"The mindless beast, makes believe he's still a man. How desperate are you?" Thor as I have found out his name stands away from us his back to the feed though his stance is rigid with uncertainty.
"You call on such lost creatures to defend you."
"How desperate am I? You threaten my world with war, you steal a force you can't hope to control you talk about peace, and you kill because it's fun." There is palpable silence in both the cell room and the control room.
"You have made me very desperate; you might not be glad that you did." Loki though is ever quick with his jabs.
"It burns you to have come so close." Fury becomes even more stoic than usual, his shoulders pulling back and his eye creasing even further.
"To have the Tesseract to have power, unlimited power, and for what?"
"A warm light for mankind to share?"
More like a light for all of us to burn ourselves with.
"And then to be reminded of what real power is." But Fury has had enough of the barbs and straightens himself though not without a passing scathing remark back. "Well let me know if real power wants a magazine or something." And with that Loki is left in

The feed is cut and I relax a bit against the wall, I don't want to stick around for the rest of the meeting my mind feeling groggy and my body even more so. As I step up to leave Coulson pins me with a look that clearly states I need to stay. Great I'm in trouble.
"He really grows on you doesn't he."
"Oh yeah, especially when he's gut punching you." I mutter though it's clear every heard by their gazes all pinning me.

"Loki is gonna drag this out, so Thor what's his play?" Thor is silent for a moment the blonde clearly deep in thought.
"He has an army called the Chitauri-"
The Chitauri are ready... The voice from my dear...

So you do remember—
Get out of my head!
"He means to lead them against your people; they will win him the Earth."
"But why Earth?" I find myself asking as I move closer to the table arms crossing over my chest, gazing at the Asgardian before me. He does a double take though says nothing and goes on.
"In return I suspect for the Tesseract."
"An army? From outer space?"
"So he's building another portal. That's what he needs Erik Selvig for." I rub my head not really wanting to nor caring about what else was happening my head felt like it was throbbing and I wanted some reprieve before I got my ass chewed by Fury or whoever was not happy with the Germany stuff. I glanced over seeing Coulson watching the exchange. So I took my leave, slipping out into the hallways and headed to somewhere in the damn flying place where I could at least be left alone for a bit.
