Author's Note;
Hi guys! I know this story's dragging a little, and I have a bit of a feeling a lot of you readers are dying to see Gregory show up soon, but I don't think he'll be appearing in this chapter, maybe the next one, sorry. Clothes link is on profile, if any of you want to check it out. Anyway, thank you so much for the reviews, favourites, and follows so far, and please keep them coming if you can, they mean a lot. Thanks!
~...~...~...The Next Morning...~...~...~
Aria slumped back from her position in the back seats, staring out the window as she waited for Tony and her mom to get into the car.
The previous night had freaked her out a little, more so now that she wasn't sure if it was a dream or not. Unfortunately she hadn't had the opportunity to discuss it with her baby-brother, though she wasn't really sure if she wanted to. If anything she just wanted to forget about it. Obviously Tony wouldn't, if anything she knew now that he'd be pestering her more than ever about the 'vampire' theory...well, not a theory, more of a fantasy. She knew full well of his bulling problem at school, and she really couldn't care less about it. Maybe if he hadn't bragged about vampires and the stupid comet he'd be making friends, like her. But no. Tony had to go running his mouth off, he couldn't just keep quiet.
The door to the front seats swung open and Aria straightened, watching as Tony climbed into the passenger seat. He stayed quiet, looking anywhere but her.
"Okay kiddo, time to talk." Aria said, leaning forward to lean against the driver's seat, facing her little brother.
"About what?" Tony asked, playing it innocent.
"Oh don't give me that look, it only works on mom and dad, I invented that look when I was a kid; Now talk. Where were you last night?"
Tony immediately brightened up. "I was flying!"
Aria stared down at him, eyebrows raised in disbelief. "Flying?"
"Uh-huh."
"Tony, I don't know if you realise this but you're human, humans can't fly genius!"
"I know I can't fly, but Rudolph can!"
"And Rudolph is..."
"The guy you saw last night!" Tony exclaimed, voice full of irritation towards his big sister.
"Okay, okay, chill out baby-brother." Aria sighed, rolling her eyes. "Here's the deal, I don't care where you're going, where you've been, or what you do. But the next time you decide to take a little trip, I go with you. The last thing I need right now is you disappearing and mom an' dad freaking out at me because I don't know where you are. So either you take me next time, or I tell mom everything that happened last night, Mrs Lawson will back me up on it I'm sure." She looked up as their front door slammed, seeing their mom approaching the car. "Think about it kiddo." She muttered before leaning back into her seat.
The driver's side door flew open and their mom hopped in, slamming the door shut and starting up the car. "You guys okay? You seem a little quiet." She commented, looking back as they pulled out of the driveway.
"Everything's fine mom, just fine." Aria reassured, smiling for added effect, subtly glancing at her brother.

The loud bell rang out signalling the end of the day and the hallways became crowded. Aria stood at her locker, shoving multiple books inside and checking her appearance in the mirror. The day had dragged, that was for sure. But there was one class that'd caught her attention; Science. At first she'd been bored and tired, thanks to the uncomfortable couch she'd slept on the night before. Eventually, though, their teacher got straight to the good part; The part about the comet. She couldn't completely remember the name of the comet, only that it happened once every three hundred years, and came pretty damn close to the moon. But on another hand, maybe it'd only been a coincidence. It couldn't possibly be the comet she'd seen in her nightmare. Could it?.
"Ariana!"
Aria moved her locker door a few inches, looking passed it to see Rhys making his way towards her. Finally, she thought, some normalcy.
"Hi." She greeted, returning the slight hug he pulled her into.
"Ye okay lass? Ye seem a little...off."
"I'm fine, just having some sleeping trouble, it's all good though."
"Well ye look as gorgeous as ever lass."
Aria smiled, tilting her head slightly. "Thanks."
"So, I met yer mum an' dad yesterday night, seem like nice people." Rhys told her, leaning against the locker to the right of hers.
"They have their moments." She shrugged, closing the locker.
"So," He dragged out, throwing an arm around her shoulder as they walked towards the exit. "Ye got any plans fer tonight?"
"Make sure my little bro' doesn't get into any more trouble, like always."
"Why d'ye hate him so much? Ye brother?"
Rhys pulled on one of the double doors, holding it open for her before coming through himself. And, grateful for the silent pause, thought over his question. Why did she hate her brother?.
"I don't know, we've always had this rivalry, ever since he was born all we do is fight. Everyone has that sibling rivalry though, right?" She asked, eyes narrowed in confusion and thought.
"Aye. I mean, I've got two little brother's myself, an' they're a right pain in the arse. But they're still me little brother's, an' I love 'em, an' I look out fer 'em. Ye should do the same for yers." He replied, shrugging.
"I guess." Aria sighed, crossing her arms.
A car horn blared and the two turned, Aria spotting her mom and brother in the car. She sighed again and looked up at Rhys, "I'll see you."
"You too lass, an' remember what I said." He pointed, backing towards a group of teenagers.
"I will." She told him before jogging towards the car.

Later on that day, Aria sat at the dining table, Tony opposite her, while her mom occupied the far end of the table. Their dad was working late - again.
"So, Aria, who was that guy you were talking to earlier?" Her mom questioned, smiling enthusiastically.
"Rhys McAshton, he's just a friend mom." Aria replied, inwardly rolling her eyes. Not this again.
"I didn't say he was more than that."
"You were getting there."
"D'you like him?" Tony spoke up. Both Aria and her mom looked at him.
"Yeah, yeah I do, he's a nice guy." She replied, shrugging slightly.
"Like his brothers?" He questioned, eyebrows raised in disbelief.
"He's nothing like his brothers."
"He's probably just being nice to get into your pants." The eight year-old grumbled, earning wide-eyed looks from his mother and sister.
"Tony!" Dottie scolded. "That's not true! Where did you even hear that?!"
While her mom interrogated her little brother, Aria thought over what Rhys had said to her. Look out for her brother. How was she supposed to look out for a little pest who did nothing but annoy her and make her life miserable? Obviously Rhys got along with his brothers, but she never got along with hers; That's what made them different. He loved his brothers, she didn't love hers, and that was the way it'd always been, and always would be.
"I'm gonna head up, I've been really tired these days and...yeah." The teen sighed, dropping her fork and moving out of the chair.
"Aria," Her mom sighed.
"No, mom, it's fine. I just need a break from...him." She shrugged, shooting a glare at her now-silent brother.
"Okay, well, goodnight sweetie."
"Yeah, you too." Aria muttered before walking out of the kitchen, and towards her bedroom.
