Hello! I am sorry for the lack of updates I really, really am. I tried to write but it got so busy and I just- it takes too much words to explain my lack of absence. And I once again an sorry for that. I hope you forgive me. :(
And my ipod was being a pain i the ass as I was trying to fix this in the doc manager. So I apologies for any part of the chapter that seemed confusing, or if there were any random words in between

Tk grabbed a cigar from his pack and took out a lighter. He pushed the lever down a few times spark, spark, then on the third spark a small flame lit. He slowly placed it in front of the cigar, once the front had a glowing fire he blew out the fire and stuck the cigar in his mouth. He blew out the smoke and Tk felt refreshed, calm even. He placed down the lighter and opened his laptop bag took out the portable computer and turned it on. The story that he was working on is based of his own life.
His phone started to vibrate, "INCOMING CALL: MATT ISHIDA" Tk ignored the phone and continued to smoke the cigar. He went over to his laptop and places his hands on the keys. "What's the point?" He typed. "If our purpose in this world is to study and get a job and live in debt? If we spent years and years caring and trying to make everyone like us? If we live in a place where love is so called the "prize",but yet everyday thousands of couples are cheating, fighting and having divorces? Why can't we just be our own people? Live our own way of life without the media interfering and influencing our behaviour. For one day, just for a day I wish that I could control the uncontrollable."
Tk paused after typing that statement. He felt even more relieved that he expressed how he felt through those words because they were true. He did not believe in love whatsoever, not after his parents divorce. Tk's only wish was to have his family back together, just like the old days. He as lucky enough to have some friends like Davis, Yolie, Ken, and Cody to help him through that time. He soon convince himself to let himself go from that fantasy, and decided that even though his parents were not getting back together everything will be alright. After all, he still has his friends.
Then Chris and that bastard came into his life, and everything began falling down again. He started to push himself away from his friends, Tk didn't want any of them to get involve in his mess. He suddenly started to get into physical fights, he no longer cared about school, his grades dropped severely (except in English Class), and he avoided everyone who was important in his life, especially his brother. From that day on, Tk Takaishi, the boy filled with hope and joy became Tk Takaishi, the boy filled with depressing thoughts. Some days- like this,Tk did wish he could control the uncontrollable. He wished he could control the fact that his parents never got divorce, so he would still have a happy family, friends, and he didn't have to deal with the fact that the baboon idiot was going to be his brother.
Tk cracked his knuckles once again before proceeding to type.
Kari and Tai were walking to school the next day. The shorter brunette was tired from saying up all night worrying about Tk. She didn't know why she felt so worried. She wasn't close to him right? And she was never fond of his attitude. So why was she so worried? Tai noticed the worry written on Kari's face. "Hey, you alright?" He asked.
Kari nodded. "Yeah, I'm just thinking."
"You know you should stop using that brain of yours." Tai poked her forehead. "It's going to give you a massive headache."
"Correction," she countered. "Its going to give you a massive headache, Tai." The brunette siblings laughed, knowing what Kari had stated was true.
When they arrived to the school they were greeted by Sora, Matt, and the others. Matt still wore a worried expression on his face. Tai noticed this, and decided to cheer him up.
"Hey if you're still worried about your brother, think of it this way." He said. "At least he's not dead." The others glared at him.
"Not helping." Sora said. Tai grinned sheepishly.
"Just trying to lighten up the mood." Tai said waving his hands up in defence. The bell rang saving Tai from a rant from Sora about how he was being very inconsiderate about Matt's feelings.
Kari waved to her brother, and the others as she walked with Davis, to class. Upon entering, she spotted TK sitting at the corner with headphones on and a portable gaming system at hand. At a quick glance he looked fine, but Kari could tell by the look of his face and body movement he barley got enough sleep, he injured himself (due to the bruises on his knuckles), and his fingers were cramping (A/N: I don't know if you can get cramps for typing at a certain amount of time. I'm just assuming.).
'Should I talk to him?' She asked herself. She was broke off her thoughts when Davis touched her shoulder.
"Hey Kari, you ok?"
"Hm?" She looked at him, realizing what he asked she immediately replied:"yeah I'm fine, don't worry." They sat down, but throughout the entire class period she couldn't help to look back at him. Finally, when they had some free time before lunch, and she decided to at least let him know that she was going to make an effort to be his friend. Kari got up and walked right up to him.
"Hey," she said. Tk frowned.
"Did Matt sent you?" He replied rudely. 'Maybe this was a bad idea.' Kari could smell the scent of smoke coming from his clothes.
"No, I just wanted to have a normal conversation with you." Kari said grabbing the nearest chair and sat in it. Tk scoffed.
"Sure."
"T-" she was cut off by the lunch bell. Tk grabbed his bag and ran out, without even looking back. Kari sighed. Davis who was watching everything gave her a comforting pat on the shoulder.
"It's alright." He said. "Tk's just stubborn I'm sure he'll come around for you. C'mon," Davis walked out before Kari could ask him what he meant.
Tai was being lectured by Sora for the hundredth time this week. Tai had once again been caught trying to cheat on the test. Even though Sora didn't know Tai for that long she knew he was smart. She knew Tai had potential, and could do a really good job on a simple task such as, passing a test if he was given the right motivation, and push.
"Honestly Tai do you want to get kicked out of this school?" Tai unconsciously shook his head. He was too busy thinking about something else to pay attention to what Sora had been saying to him. He was too busy thinking about the soccer tryout he was going to have. After endlessly begging the coach to at least give him a chance, Mr. Lo gave in and scheduled his tryouts to be this thursday.
Tai didn't know why, but he felt kind of nervous. Which was odd for the brunette considering he had an insanely large amount of confidence, that no normal human could possibly have. Tai never got nervous doing presentations, so why was he worrying about a soccer tryout? Tai had always been part of a soccer team his whole life, he trained extra hours to improve his soccer skills, he was the MVP player. Maybe it was that Chris kid that was making him nervous. After the fight that happened Tai learned that Chris was strong for his age. Not to mention that he didn't want anything to do with Chris after their encounter. He made a mental note to train extra hard later, so he can make a lasting impression on him at his tryouts.
"Tai let's go." Sora said as she shook his shoulder. He noticed that his other classmates left the room, and the lunch bell had already rung. Tai nodded, grabbed his bag, and walked out with Sora.
(Since my ipod is being such a pain) -line break-–-
Tk sat down at the edge of the school roof and took out an apple from his lunch bag. He stared at the view before him as he took a bite from his food. Tk liked lunch since it was the only time of the day when he could be alone. No one can bother him, he can have peace, no knows he was here. It was per-
"Hey Tk!" Tk stiffened. He hesitated to turn around. When he did, he saw Chris standing there with his arms folded across his chest, grinning. "Where were you bro?" He asked emphasizing on the last word. Tk mentally gagged when Chris called him 'bro'.
"Everywhere." he casually responded. He wasn't showing any emotion, he wasn't going to let Chris win this battle.
"I see, I see," Tk clenched his fist, trying hard not to beat the living guts out of the idiot standing across from him.
"Did my mom tell you to check up on me?" Tk asked, getting straight to the point. Chris smiled.
"You are bright. Teeks." Chris said. "How were you able to figure out so quickly?"
"Considering that the only thing you care about is banging every cheerleader in one night, it wasn't that much of a challenge. " Tk answered adding a little bit of sass in his voice. ( A/N: Can you imagine Tk being sassy? I can... Kinda) "so tell my mom I'm fine, and I went over to stay at my dad's place last night." He turned around and began to eat his lunch.
"You're lying."
"Like you wouldn't say some bullshit to my mom. So, why should I tell you the truth?" Tk reasoned, not looking back at him. He could feel Chris glaring at him, but he didn't look back.
Chris frowned at the statement said by the blond teen. He dislike the tone that he had used on him. 'Little bastard, trying to lie to me.' "You better show some respect." He walked up to Tk, who tensed, afraid that There might be a possibility that Chris could push him off the ledge. "After all," he whispered in his ear. "We. Are. Family."
"So Sora," Tai said as they were eating their lunch. Well, in Tai's case playing with vegetables with his fork. "About the chemis-"
"No, you cannot copy my homework." Sora answered not looking up from her tray of food. Mimi giggled, Matt gave an amused look, and Izzy didn't look up from his laptop, while Joe sat there shocked (probably because he had just discovered his new friend dislike to do schoolwork) but Tai could tell he had at least a faint smile on his face.
"I was totally not going to ask that." Tai retorted. "How could you assume such a horrible thing?" Sora looked up.
"Because you're Tai, and believe it or not, even of you and Matt are different as cheese and chalk, your basically one person when it comes to school work."
Matt frowned, Mimi, Joe,and Izzy gave a light chuckle at the scene unfolding before them.
"Anyway." Tai said, suddenly wanting to change the subject. "I was going to ask you if you wanted to be my partner for the chemistry project."
Sora finally looked up from her meal. Amusement was written all over her face. "Really?" Tai nodded. "Care to give me a good reason why Tai Kamiya?"
She was playing games with him. "Uhh..." Not expecting the question from the auburn haired girl, he was drawing a blank. Why did he want to pair up with Sora? He was attracted to her the first day they met since he found her very pretty. But Tai totally forgot about that lust when he started to get to know her. They were strangers to best friend in the matter of minutes due to many similar interest, and contrast personalities. They talked on the phone for hours when they got home from school, he couldn't possible be falling for her.
Tai had never had a stable girlfriend for more than a month since he entered the dating world. Although, that past made him look like a player who jumps from one girl to the other, the truth was he felt sorry for the girls who asked him out, and decided to give it a shot since they showed him a lot of courage (AN get it courage? Crest of COURAGE belongs to tai. No? Oh, ok continue). Sometimes he was dared by his stupid teammates which was one of the reasons why he was glad his family moved, so he can get away from the crazy fan girls, and his dating past. Not to say that Tai never felt attracted to a girl no, he definitely felt attracted to many girls before, but the idea of having a relationship never crossed his mind (it was usually things normal teenage boys will think, if you know what I mean.). However, Sora's case was different.
"Earth to Tai!" Mimi said snapping hoer fingers in front of his face, trying to regain his attention.
"Wha?"
"Dude, you've been staring at Sora's food for the past ten minutes." Matt said. "Still hungry?" He joked.
"Oh!" Tai turned to look at Sora. Ignoring Matt's question he asked her. "What was your question again?"
"She said to give her a good reason to be her partner for the chemistry project," Izzy said as he was rapidly typing on his laptop.
"Oh. Umm... Because we have good 'chemistry' together?" Tai joked. "You know like a couple. Hey! Maybe we can date! Or you're probably with some dude already aren't you?" He was expecting at least a slight giggle, or an insult thrown at him for his horrible joke, but for some reason everyone was just staring. Even Izzy, who always had his dark eyes glued onto his laptop was looking directly into Tai's chocolate brown eyes. There was complete silence, Tai was feeling uncomfortable with all the eyes just staring mindlessly into him. All except one. Sora had her attention back to her lunch. However, the food did not seem appetizing to her as she was just playing with the meal with her fork. "Why- why are you all looking at me like that?" Tai's voice cracked as he asked his peers around him.
Matt was the first one to make a reaction and break the silence. He stood up, and grabbed Tai's arm.
"... Well, that was...interesting." Mimi said to ease the tension between the four remaining people at the table.
"Ow, ow, ow, ow!" Tai said as Matt dragged the spiky haired brunette male out of he cafeteria. "What was that for?"
"To tell you something important." Matt replied.
"Important? Why would you- hey! Ow!" Matt smacked Tai at the back of his head. "Why did you do that?! You little-" Tai smacked Matt back, and soon they were smacking each other back and forth. Until Matt remembered his reason for dragging Tai out of the cafeteria.
"Listen to me." Matt said sharply at the soccer obsessed teen. "Do not. I repeat DO NOT talk, mention, or ask Sora about anything regarding relationships. Do you understand?"
"What? Why?" Tai asked while rubbing the back of his head.
"Let's just say, Sora has a bad past when it comes to relationships. Now, Tai, that comment probably didn't hurt Sora as it normally would since you didn't know, and aren't as close to her as we are." Matt said. "We meaning myself, Mimi, Izzy, and the others."
"Bad past? How bad do you mean when you say 'bad'?"
"That's not my place to say, but Tai please do not mention any of this to Sora, let her explain this to you herself when it's the right time? Understand?" Tai scowled.
"I don't get it." Tai said. Sora didn't seem like the type to have a bad history with relationships. Sora was sweet, caring, fun to be around with, and when she can be, competitive. Trying to find the source of the reason made his head hurt. "Ahh... Girls are so confusing."
"Whatever, look the bell'a going to ring at any second. Let's just get to class." Matt said grabbing the back of Tai's shirt.
"But- but my lunch!"
Sora sat down, she felt uneasy after what happened at lunch. She knew that it shouldn't have mean anything. Tai was just making a chemistry pun, that somehow turned into him saying that get should date, then brining up the fact that she already found her "Prince Charming" That happens all the time right? She started to panic when Tai entered their English class. 'Stay calm Sora,' she told herself. 'It was just a meaningless joke, that's all, don't think about him.'
Tai hesitantly sat beside Sora. "H-hey Sora." She took a deep breath.
"Hey Tai," she replied smiling back at him. 'Call down, count to three. One, two-'
"Listen, I'm sorry about what I said at lunch. I didn't know that is something that's sensitive to you." Tai apologized.
"Did Matt had anything to do with this?" Sora asked.
"No! No! Of course not!" Tai said immediately after the auburn teen accused their blond friend. "Ok, maybe he may have said a thing, or two, but he didn't say too much." Tai said when Sora was giving him a 'yeah-right' look. "But I'm really am sorry."
"It's alright. You didn't know."
"But I was serious about being, partners for that chemistry project." Tai said.
"Fine. But you have to do your share," Sora said.
"Hey, I'm not all that you think I really am." Tai said, then frowned. "That sounded less confusing in my head." Sora laughed.
"Then, I guess we just have to get to know each other better." Sora said.
"How 'bout thursday, after I try out for soccer, when I make the team- which I will." Sora rolled her eyes at his cockiness. "We go out to any place that you want, my treat, in celebration. Then we get to ask each other a bunch of questions, and get to know each other." Tai finished. "Sounds good?"
"Sure, if you don't mind I might watch your tryouts to see what the great Tai Kamiya has to offer to our school's soccer team."
"Defiantly. So is it a date?" Tai's eyes widen realizing what he said. "Oh, sorry I mean- uh- dammit why am I so stu-"
"It's alright Tai," Sora said. "You didn't mean to say it. But please don't ask me anything about relationships when we hang out." Sora said. "I hope you don't take this the wrong way, but I'm not ready to tell you just yet."
"Well, I promise I won't say anything. And I look forward to the day when you trust me enough for you to tell me what happened."
Ok, so first I would like to apologies for the lack of updates I have made within the year. Yes, I know I am horrible, but I hope this chapter makes up for it. Secondly, I might re-write this chapter a little bit just because it didn't feel right when I wrote it. I also apologize if any of the characters felt like OCs. There also wasn't a lot of Tk and Kari in this chapter because I just remember that Taiora was part of this story too. So I decided the this chapter to them. And at least we know that Kari a making an effort get through Tk.
Also what did Davis mean by Tk coming around for kari? The next chapter I will focus more on Matt and Tk's relationship after the night Tk left his apartment. Yes, he is still staying at the inn. And maybe a little inside of the others since we haven't seen much of them in the story.
I know this chapter isn't too long I tried the best I could to write at least one chapter even though I didn't really have any creative juices following through me since I wanted to update one last time before 2014 ends, and I know the story isn't "award winning" quality, but appreciate those of you who have decided to stick around and read it anyway. And for those of you who are reading it for the first time, and made a choice to give me a chance and read this story. Especially to Digidestened Ninja of Sunshine. You're awesome.
And a late Merry Christmas to you guys. I hope you enjoy it. Until next time.
