0W0 I'm back again! This chapter might be sad. Enjoy!
"NO!" roared MacTavish. "YOU BASTARD! YOU FUCKING KILLED HIM! YOU SAID YOU WOULD GO EASY ON HIM! YOU FUCKING LIED!" MacTavish's screams faded to a blur as he took in what had just happened.
Ghost couldn't believe it. He wouldn't believe it.
Roach just died. Right in front of him.
No. He didn't die. He just stopped breathing. Yes. That was it. He had just stopped breathing. That didn't mean he was dead, did it?
But deep down, Ghost knew his best friend's life had drifted away within a few seconds. His body couldn't handle being stabbed in the gut and then shot in the heart afterwards.
Roach's head hung limp, and a flow of blood came from his chest where the bullet had hit him.
He's gone. Ghost thought. He's not ever coming back. Ghost shook off the sad feelings. He had to stay strong.
Some cry for those who are lost. Others smile because they know they will see them again. I have to be strong. For MacTavish. For Roach. I have to get us out of here.
"You didn't answer me. I don't like it when someone disobeys me. He wasn't going to live that long anyway" The man said. His forehead glistened with sweat-even though it was freezing in the cellar.
"You lied to us." MacTavish growled, his voice hoarse from yelling. He strained against the chains that kept him to the wall.
"Yes. But I have been lied to before. I can tell that you have never felt that before. You should be thanking me. Now you know never to trust anyone again, and you cannot be betrayed if you don't trust anyone."
"So you killed him?" growled Ghost. Anger built up inside him, clawing its way out in his voice.
"Well, you didn't need him, surely. You have other friends, yes?"
"He was my best friend!" Ghost yelled at him. "All those amazing times we had together, all those fun things we did and the memories we made, you took that away! You've destroyed them!" his voice was breaking, but that didn't stop him.
"And when you were lied to, that person didn't even need a reason to betray you! They only needed to take one look at you and decide that you weren't worth it! You don't deserve friends. You don't deserve ANYONE!"
"Well. There's nothing you can do about now, can you?" he murmured. He then unchained Roach's limp body, but as soon as he went near him, Ghost started to yell again.
"LEAVE HIM ALONE!" Ghost cried. But the man kept on going. As soon as both of Roach's arms were free, he carefully lay him face down on the cold floor. The man stood up, and left the room, slamming the metal door closed, making a large bang echo around the room.
Ghost started to cry. He sobbed for a bit, before he noticed that MacTavish hadn't moved a muscle since the man left.
He looked up, and MacTavish was…staring at something?
He followed his gaze, and he happened to be staring at Roach. Why was he staring at him? Wasn't that kinda rude?
"Mac, what are-"
"Shh." MacTavish cut him off. Ghost was a little surprised.
Then Ghost saw it too.
A slight, jagged movement within Roach's seemingly lifeless body. It was barely any movement at all, but it was there. It came with tiny, high-pitched keening sounds that could have been his breathing. But it couldn't be, could it? Didn't he just get shot straight through the heart? Who survived that?
Well, he was Roach, after all.
"Roach?" MacTavish softly called to him. Roach's head moved just the tiniest bit, his chocolate brown hair ruffling with the movement.
Ghost struggled against his chains, until he remembered that he always kept a knife strapped to his thigh. If he could reach it….he might be able to undo his chains!
He lifted his left leg up as high as he could get it to his face, and tried to clamp the handle of the knife in his teeth.
"Ghost…"MacTavish rumbled. "What….are you doing?"
Ghost didn't answer, he just kept trying to reach the knife. After a few tries, he finally got it between his teeth. He put his leg down, and tried to twist a bit to his right. He craned his neck over to his chained hand, and carefully grabbed the knife from his mouth.
"Oh…"MacTavish silently whispered. Roach stirred a bit more.
With the knife in his hand, Ghost picked the chained with the pointed end of the blade. After a few tries, he eventually got it. The chain fell off and clanked back against the wall.
He reached over and undid his other hand. The chain fell back to the wall, lifeless. Ghost dashed over to MacTavish and quickly undid his chains. After he was unfettered, MacTavish limped over to Roach's side, holding the knife in his side with one hand, and placed his hand on his neck. At the sudden contact, Roach groaned, just a tiny bit.
He was alive!
The woe and stress melted away from inside Ghost as MacTavish carefully rolled Roach onto his back, and he made the stressed keening sounds again. His forest green eyes opened, and they fritted around, until they landed on MacTavish, who was looking at him with worried eyes.
"You're okay bug. We'll get you out of here." Roach closed his eyes and let his head roll to the side, a frown forming on his face. What was wrong?
"Chest…" Roach crooned quietly.
"I know buddy. We'll get you out, you'll be fine, don't worry." MacTavish tried to reassure him. His voice sounded weaker than ever from blood loss.
"No…"he moaned. "Chest…" MacTavish felt his bare chest, and a frown formed on his face.
"What's wrong with him?" Ghost asked. He was stressing again. The man could come back any minute any see them both out of their chains.
"He's not okay. His heartbeat is all over the place. It slows down, then speeds up." he shook his head as he cradled Roach's limp head. "Something's wrong."
A large bang erupted at the door, and both MacTavish and Ghost jumped, but standing there, at the door way, guns in hand, was Worm and Royce.
Well I guess Roach didn't die after all. I wish I could see everyone's reaction to the ending of the last chapter!
MacTavish and Ghost are confused about what's wrong with Roach, and honestly, so am I. I have no idea what the hell is going on XD
So yeah. Hope ya'll enjoyed, and of course, reviews, ideas or suggestions are most welcome!(in fact, it's recommended)
