My name is Evangelina Petrova. Everything was normal until i turned into a Vampire/Witch hybrid. On top of that both of my parents past away when i was 15. I am 17 now and going to start junior year with my best friend Caroline Forbes. This will be a journey i will never forget, let's just hope i survive to the end of the year. Who knows? 4. Chapter 2: Night of the Comet

A/N I do not own Vampire diaries, I only own anything unfamiliar to you. This story will begin in season 1 but may skip episodes that are unimportant. Chapter 2: The Night of the Comet

Beep! Beep! Beep! I blurrily opened my eyes and stared at my ceiling. I got out of bed and turned the alarm off. I stripped out of my old clothes and put on my running clothes. I grabbed my I-pod and a water bottle before walking outside. I started running to the song Starships by Nicki Minaj. I hummed along as I ran. The feeling of my feet pounding the pavement and my heart racing is freeing. I loved the feeling of the wind on my face and how peaceful and quiet it is.

I arrived back at my house by 6.15 a.m. and went upstairs to my room. I entered my bathroom and stripped out of my running clothes and stepped in the shower once it was warm enough. I washed myself with peach scented shampoo, conditioner and body wash. Once I was clean I stepped out of the shower and wrapped myself in a towel. I blow-dried my hair and put it up into a bun. Afterwards, I put on some eyeliner, mascara and pink lip gloss before leaving my bathroom. I entered my bedroom and dressed in jeans, a halter top, a blazer, heels and jewelry.

Once I finished dressing, I grabbed my purse I went downstairs. I entered the kitchen and made myself an everything bagel toasted with butter and a glass of orange juice. Once the food was ready I ate it quickly and washed the dishes. Buzz! Buzz! Buzz! I looked at my phone. Evangelina, Elena

I grabbed my purse and went to the garage. I got in my car and started to drive to Elena's while singing along to she will be loved by Maroon 5. As soon as I arrived at Elena's I honked my horn. BEEEEEEEEEEP! Elena came out of her house and got in the car. "Thanks." She said. "You're welcome, you're my friend, and I'll be there for you even if it may seem that I'm not" I said as we drove to school. "I'm sorry about missing your parent's funeral and saying those mean things afterwards." She said sincerely. "I forgive you, it has been two years." I said. "I'm still sorry and I hope we can go back to the way we were before." She said. "I think with time we may be able to." I said as I parked in front of the school. We got out of the car and started to walk into the school. "I'll see you in history okay?" I asked. "Sure see you there." She replied. "Okay, oh, I'm also driving you to the grill after to meet up with Bonnie and Caroline." I said. "Okay and Thanks. Bye." She said and walked away.

I walked to my locker and got my books before heading to Caroline's locker. "Hey" I said in her ear. She jumped and turned around. "You scared the shit out of me." She said hitting me gently. "Oh, poor you" I said as we walk to history. "Bitch" she said with a smile on her face. We entered the classroom laughing and took a seat in the back. "Whore" I whispered to her wiggling my eyebrows. "Oh shut up" she said. BRRRRRRRRRRRING

I started to doodle as Mr. Tanner started talking. He kept on blabbing on. I looked at the clock and started to tune in to the conversation. "Originally discovered nearly 5 centuries ago, it hasn't been over Mystic Falls in over 145 years. Now, the comet will be at its brightest right after dusk during tomorrow's celebration. Are we bothering you, Mr. Salvatore? Ms. Gilbert?" asked Mr. Tanner. Elena and Stefan don't respond they just dropped their gazes. BRRRRRRRRRRRING

Mt first classes passed slowly. I sat in Chemistry staring at the clock. BRRRRRRRRRRRING I got up and went to my locker. I grabbed my stuff and went to Caroline's locker. "Hey, how was French?" I asked. "Horrible, how was Chemistry?" she asked while she grabbed her stuff. "Terrible, you ready?" I asked. "Yup, let's go meet Bonnie." She said. We went and found Bonnie and sat outside at a table while we ate our lunch.

"I'm confused. Are you psychic or clairvoyant?" asked Caroline as we ate. "Technically, Grams says I'm a witch. My ancestors were these really cool Salem witch chicks or something. Grams tried to explain it all, but she was looped on the liquor so I kinda tuned out. Crazy family, yes. Witches? I don't think so." said Bonnie. Caroline and I exchanged a look. "I don't know. It would be pretty cool to be a witch. Then you could hex anyone that annoys you." I said jokingly. "Yeah, well, feel free to conjure up the name and number of that guy from last night." Caroline said "The handsome one from the grill?" I asked. "Yup." Caroline said dreamily. "I didn't see him, you did. Why didn't you just talk to him?" asked Bonnie. "I don't know. I was drunk." Caroline said as we finished eating. BRRRRRRRRRRRING "See you later" I said to Bonnie as Caroline and I headed to class.

BRRRRRRRRRRRING Finally, class was over. I headed to my locker and grabbed my stuff and then headed to Elena's locker. "You ready?" I asked as I reached Elena. "Let's go" she said as she closed her locker. We reached my car and got in. I drove straight to the grill and parked. We got out and met Caroline and Bonnie. We found an outside table and sat.

"Well, I was talking to Grams, and she said the comet is a sign of impending doom. The last time it passed over Mystic Falls, there was lots of death. So much blood and carnage, it created a bed of paranormal activity." said Bonnie. "Oh no, were all going to die." I said dramatically and pretended to faint on Caroline. "Oh shut up" said Bonnie as we all started laughing. "Yeah, and then you poured Grams another shot and she told you about the aliens. So then what?" asked Caroline. "So then nothing." said Elena. "You and Stefan talked all night? There was no sloppy first kiss or touchy feely of any kind?" asked Care. "Nope. We didn't go there." said Elena. "Not even a handshake? I mean, Elena, we are your friends. Ok? You are supposed to share the smut." said Care. "Yeah, C'mon Elena" I said laughing.

"We just talked for hours." Elena said. "OK, what is with the blockage? Just jump his bones already! Ok, it's easy. Boy likes girl, girl likes boy, sex!" Care said. "Yeah c'mon just go up to him and jump him." I said jokingly as Care hit me. "Profound." Elena said and got up. "Where are you going?" asked Bonnie. "Caroline and Eva are right. It is easy. If I sit here long enough, I'll end up talking myself out of it instead of doing what I started the day saying what I was going to do." said Elena. I got up. "Elena I'm your ride" I said. "Please drive me" she said pleadingly. "Fine" I said as we walked to my car.

We got in my car and drove to the Salvatore Boarding house. I parked and waited for Elena to get out. "Can you come in with me? It looks a little creepy." asked Elena. "Fine, but I'm leaving before you jump his bones" I said. "Deal" she said laughing. We walked up the driveway and knocked. The door opened by itself. Elena looked like she wanted to turn around and drive back home. "C'mon" I said as I dragged her inside. "Eva" she hissed. "Elena, I didn't come all this way to turn back and drive home" I said as we walked farther inside.

"Stefan? Stefan?" Elena called as a crow flew inside. We turned around to see a man. It was the man from the grill. "I. . .I'm sorry for barging in. The door was . . . open." Elena said. "I'm sorry too, for barging in" I said. "You must be Elena. I'm Damon, Stefan's brother." he said. "And you are . . . ?" he asked me. "I'm Evangelina Petrova, a friend of Elena's" I said holding out my hand for him to shake. "Pleasure" he said as he kissed my hand. "He didn't tell me he had a brother." said Elena. "Well, Stefan's not one to brag. Please, come. I'm sure Stefan will be along any second." Damon said. "Wow. This is your living room?" asked Elena. "I've seen better, my living room is probably around this size or bigger" I said. "Living room, parlor, seventies auction. It's a little kitschy for my taste. I see why my brother's so smitten. It's about time. For a while there, I never thought he'd get over the last one. Nearly destroyed him." said Damon.

"The last one?" asked Elena. "Yeah. Katherine, his girlfriend? Oh, you two haven't had the awkward exes conversation yet." said Damon. "Nope." Elena says. "Well, why would they? They just met a couple of days ago. He probably just wasn't ready." I said. "Oops. Well, I'm sure it'll come up now. Or maybe he didn't want to tell you because he didn't want you to think he was on the rebound. We all know how those relationships end." he said. "You say it like every relationship is doomed to end" said Elena. "Yeah, not every relationship is bad and will end" I said. "I'm a fatalist. Hello, Stefan." he said.

"Elena. Evangelina. I didn't know you were coming over." he said. "I know. I should have called, I just. . ." Elena said. "Well, she dragged me here." I said and Elena hit me. "Oww" I whispered to her and she just rolled her eyes. "Oh, don't be silly. Their welcome any time. Aren't they, Stefan? You know, I should break out the family photo albums or some home movies. But. . .I have to warn you. He wasn't always such a looker." said Damon. "Thank you for stopping by, Elena, Evangelina. Nice to see you." said Stefan. "Yeah, we should probably go. It was nice to meet you, Damon" said Elena. "Bye, nice meeting you officially Damon" I said. "Great meeting you, too, Elena, Evangelina" said Damon. "Stefan. . . .Stefan?" said Elena as we tried to leave. He moved and we left. We got to the car and get in. "Do you need a ride to the Comet?" I asked as I drove to her house. "No, thanks though" she replied. The rest of the ride was in silence. As soon as I got to her house I dropped her off. "Bye, thanks for the ride and everything" she said. "You're welcome, Bye" I said and drove to my house.

I got out after I got to my house and went inside. I went into the kitchen and started dinner. I made myself a chicken salad. I ate quickly and headed back outside. I drove to the grill and parked. I got out and saw Caroline. "Hey" I said. "Hey, how was Stefan?" she asked. "I don't know, he was there for like one minute, but I met the handsome man from the grill last night." I said. "Who is he? What's his name? His Number? What's he like? Where does he live? Tell me." she demanded excitedly. "Slow down Care! His name is Damon. He is Stefan's older brother. He lives at the Salvatore Boarding house and he seems cocky" I said. "Well he's sooo hot. Now, I just need to meet him again and get laid" she said seriously. I laughed, "C'mon lets go get a candle" I said.

"Hey, I got some candles." Care said to Elena and Matt and gave them their candles and walked away. We went to the grill and sat at a table with Tyler, Matt, Elena and Bonnie. "Hey, has anyone seen Vicki?" Jeremy came and asked. "You're her stalker. You tell us." said Tyler. "I can't find her." Jeremy said. "She probably found somebody else to party with. Sorry, pill pusher, I guess you've been replaced." said Tyler. "What's with the pill pusher?" asked Elena. "Ask him." Tyler said looking at Jeremy. "You wanna do this right now?" Jeremy asked. "Are you dealing?" asked Elena incredulously. "She's never gonna go for you." Tyler said to Jeremy cockily. "She already did. Over and over and over again." Said Jeremy smugly. "Yeah, right." Tyler said." You slept with Vicki Donovan? I mean, Vicki Donovan slept with you?" Care asked in disbelief. "Well she gets around" I said. "There's no way." said Tyler. "And I didn't even have to force her into it." said Jeremy. "What the hell is he talking about, Ty?" asked Matt. "Nothing, man, just ignore him, he's a punk." said Tyler to Matt. "You know what, how about all of you shut up and help me find my sister?" said Matt.

"We'll check the back." I said gesturing to Bonnie, Caroline and me. "I'll check the square." said Matt. "I'll come with you." Jeremy said. "Oh, no, no, no. You are coming with me." said Elena. We headed out and checked the back. There was no sight of her anywhere so we headed back in and sat at a table.

"Ugh, it's just so much drama. Ever notice how the druggies are the biggest attention whores?" saidCare. "Yeah" Bonnie said. "That is true, most druggies take drugs because they want attention or it makes them feel good or both" I said. "Excuse me. Hi." Stefan said coming up to our table. "Hi." Bonnie said. "Hey, Stefan" I said. "Um, have you guys seen Elena?" he asked. "Nope, sorry" I said. "I think she went home. I'm gonna give you Elena's cell number and her email. She is big on texting, and you can tell her... "I said so"." said Bonnie handing Stefan a paper with Elena's contact info on it. "Thank you." Stefan said as he reached for it. As soon as Bonnie touched Stefan on the hand her face blanked out. "You ok?" asked Stefan. "What happened to you? That's so rude. I'm sorry. Excuse me." said Bonnie as she hurried away. "Yeah, she kind of wigs out. It's like her thing." said Caroline. "Don't mind her, she's probably just tired" I said to Stefan. "Thanks" he said to the two of us and walked away. "Do you need a ride?" I asked Caroline. "No, I brought my car." She said. "Okay, see you tomorrow" I said. "Ya, see you" she said and waved. "Bye" I said and walked out of the grill to my car.

I drove back to my house and got out of the car. I went into my house and headed upstairs to my room. I entered my bathroom and stripped out of my dirty clothes. Once the water was warm enough I stepped in. I took a nice long shower and washed myself with tropical body wash and shampoo. I then let the warm water relax my muscles. Once I was clean I stepped out of the shower and wrapped myself in a towel. I blow-dried my hair and brushed it. I then put it up in a ponytail. I exited my bathroom and went into my bedroom. I put on my pajamas and then took a picture of myself with my phone. I sent it to Nik and waited. RIIIIING RIIIIIIIING RIIIIIIING Evangelina, Nik

I finished my song and closed the book and put it away. I turned off my light and snuggled under the covers. I hope Bonnie isn't right. I don't need doom and death in my life I thought as I slowly drifted off to sleep.
