When we arrived at the main hall, me, Ran, Miki, and Suu had our hoods up, along with some elegant dresses that Miki designed. Mine was of course a light pink with black, Ran's was dark pink with a red hemline, Miki was various shades of blue, Suu had a simple light green number on, Dia had a light orange with white dress, and Ami had a light yellow dress with frills and little pink and white bows. We would be introduced to the court, but the discussion of marriage would be discussed when the kids were not around. Of that I was sure, as I tended those meetings when between Souko and my mother. Speaking of Souko, I can't wait to see her and uncle Aruto.
"Mama," I called.
"Hmm?"
"Is auntie and uncle gonna be here?" I asked excitedly.
"Yes, but you know you have to act as though this is your first time meeting them, for the sake of the children they're bringing."
"Hai.~"
"Ne, ne, who you talkin bout?" Ran asked.
"Grown up stuff." I said.
"Awww, Amu-chan no fair!~" =3=
I just chuckled.
Thirty minutes later, we were at the door greeting guests as they appeared, seeing how we were the eldest. First was the Rabbits, with the chosen name of Yuiki, and they only had three children. Next were the Hotori's, they were Lions, though their two sons looked far from predator material. After them were the Fujisaki's, they were Snow Foxes, kinder than their cousins to the west of us. They had two sets of fraternal twins, both sets of a boy and a girl. Following were the Sanjo's, they were owls, and they only brought three members of their family, a woman and her two younger brothers. Bringing up the rear were the Canaries, their surname was Mashiro, and they only had two girls.
This should be an interesting turn of events, especially with the Lions being here. When auntie and uncle get here, I hope their sons don't get into any fights. Speaking of the devil, I see their hummerzine appeared. Uncle needs a new taste in cars, like seriously, no one drives those cars anymore.
The first one who emerges is uncle, and he turns to assist auntie. Then, comes their oldest two sons, who looked just like Aruto that it was scary. The triplets came out next, the oldest of three looking just like Souko. I bet she was ecstatic.
"Good evening Tsukiyomi family, we our honored to have you as our guests." I greeted in unison with my family, ending it with a bow.
"Good evening, we are obliged to have been offered this opportunity as well." Uncle and auntie greeted in unison with a nod of their head. Following their parents lead, the children also bowed their head in respect.
Now in the dining hall we were finally seated, however, it was at random. I some how ended up between the oldest Tsukiyomi and the oldest Hotori. Why, oh why Kami-sama? Why do you hate me? Who was in charge of the seating arrangements anyway?! Who the freaking flip puts a Wolf between two Cats?! I mean, could it be even more awkward?
"Hey, so you're a Hinamori right?" The Lion says.
Apparently it can. Sigh. I just nodded my head and focused on who was across from me. And did a double take.
"What the hell? Kukai?" I blurted, forgetting where I was.
"Ha ha, yo Hinamori!" He greeted.
"Don't 'Yo Hinamori' me, what are you doing here?" I whisper shouted for fear of mom hearing my 'inappropriate tone.' Or worse, Suu. (Shivers.)
"Oh, don't you know, I originated from the Northern Mountains, so I'm a royal too."
"Huh," was all I said before I went quiet again.
"Pfft," was what I heard from my left where the Panther was sitting. I opted to ignore it, so why couldn't the stupid gay lion?
"What's so funny, Black Cat?" He attempted to sneer.
"..."
"Well?" He prodded.
Sighing, Tsukiyomi put an elbow on the table, his head resting on the provided support while he looked boredly toward the Lion on my right.
Smirking he said," You." Then proceeded to daze off into space.
I tapped him on his shoulder, greatly surprising him.
"You should really take your elbow off the table," I said nervously, while looking past him at Suu. Luckily, she hadn't seen his actions yet.
"Oh, and why should I do that?" He asked with a cocky smirk on his face. To preoccupied with observing Suu, I missed the look on his face.
In a rush I said, "Soma?" Catching his attention and motioning towards the stupid Panther on my left.
"Oh s***! Dude, get your arm off the table if you wanna-" He got cut off as Suu finally turned to our direction, sending a wave of an ominous aura. Me and Kukai gulped simultaneously, and both tried to appear smaller, knowing full well what was coming. A chair was pushed back, and a fuming Suu was approaching, while me and Kukai gave the Panther a I-tried-to-tell-you look.
"Sir," she said in her mock calm voice. "I would advise you to take your arm from the table please."
The idiot just stared at her, shrugged and took his arm from the table and leaned back. Nodding in approval, Suu went back to her seat, and a collective sigh of relief was released from my family and those who knew Suu.
"So what was that about?" The Panther asked nonchalantly.
Me and Kukai just shared a look, and said," Nothing." Before he could press on, dinner was served, ending all conversation for a while.
After dinner
"Onee-chan," Ami whispered in my ear causing me to jump. When did she get there?
"Yeah?"
"Mama says to take the kids on a tour."
"Okay, you tell the others?"
"Yeah, we're ready."
"Gotcha." I said while starting to stand.
When I was fully risen, I went to stand by the door, asking the guard at the door to not worry when we leave, since the Soma's, Ran, and I all were qualified guards. He just nodded, acknowledging my authority on the matter, and I headed back to my seat to await my mother's announcement for us to go. A few minutes later, we heard a clear tapping of a spoon against a glass.
"May I have your attention," My mother said and all idle chatter from farther down the table ceased.
"I would like for all of the children 18 and below to please rise," she asked. Surprisingly, the Panther stood up, huh, I thought he was older.
"Alright, now, please follow my daughters on a tour so that we grown ups may discuss territorial issues." At this, me and the girls were already waiting by the designated door with Kukai and Daichi.
"Huh," the other Panther guy said. "I didn't know you two were Hinamori girls," referring to the Soma brothers.
"Yup," they answered. "We had cosmetic surgery to keep the crown," they continued on. After that remark though, me and Ran hit them both over the head, and said, "It's bad for your health to lie."
"Eh, so they aren't your sisters?" Panther guy number two asked in astonishment, causing everyone to facepalm.
This should be an eventful tour session.
Please R&R, by throwing luv and flames!
