Chapter ummm... Chapter three.
Warning if you are a character and reading this I didn't mean to hurt anyones feelings you all are the besets of friends to m."
As Chris walks down the street with the girl in his arms, he feels a lot of eyes on him. Some of the people are about to go up to him, but they are stopped by others among them. Even a little girl tugs on her mother and points at him. He ignores them all, just trying to get the unconscious girl to a doctor as soon as possible.
After a few minutes, he sees a red cross above a doorway. The place looked abandon for years…but, hey, anyplace is better than no place. Chris rushes through the door, bringing the inside into view. The floor was made of mossy spruce wood planks making a slight squishing sound when you stepped on them and a few half slabs were lying against the wall, collecting dust while some rats were scurrying on the oak beams. There is a counter that stretches all the way across the width of the room and a rocking chair made of birch wood, slowly rocking back and forth behind the counter. No one was in sight, and nothing was on the counter except a fill out sheet and a pen next to it.
Chris quickly runs behind the counter and lays the girl in the rocking chair. On the arm of the rocking chair, there is a note that says, 'Will be back before sunset.' Chris turns around and slowly starts to fill out the form, leaving out the stuff he didn't know. He finishes the form and sets the pen down next to it. A figure appears in the doorway, making all the rats scurry into their holes and the moss shrink into the floor boards.
The figure turns out to be a middle aged man, probably 60, who has international-orange, curly hair with a full beard, and a big backpack on, which seems worn out, overflown with stuff, and about to break. He is really well built and it looks like he has been doing body building for a long time. The middle aged man walks up to the counter and places the backpack in front of Chris, completely ignoring him. The man opens the pack and a bunch of herbs and other unknown plants pop out of the bag. The smell of the plants quickly fills up the room, making it hard to breath.
Chris peeks his head from behind the bag and waves at the man. "Umm…hello, could you help me?"
The man jumps with fright, clearly just noticing that Chris was here. "Who are you?" he snaps, "What are you doing here? None come to this place anymore, understand?!" Chris steps back in shock. Why was the man so mad about people coming into a doctor's office?
"This is going to take a long time." Chris sighs and rubs the back of his head. "Well I was wondering if you can help me."
The man calms down, but the scowl is still on his face. He puts his hands behind his back, then starts pacing back and forth in front of Chris. "Yeah, what do you want?"
Chris goes behind the counter and picks up the girl again. "She was in a fight and got hurt really bad. I didn't know what to do so I searched for a doctor. I-" The man raises his hand and Christopher falls silent. The man bends over the counter to feel the girl's forehead. He closes his eyes, and for few seconds there's silence in the room. The man opens his eyes and takes his hand off the girl's forehead.
"She has a minor fever. It should go away if given the proper treatment." Chris smiles at the man and nods. "But..." The man says. "It will take a long time, so wait for my return in here, understand?"

Chris opens his eyes and looks around. He was back in the lab and it was darker than ever. He looks for the door but his vision was only limited a few meters in front of him.
Suddenly someone pass's by him and he shifts his eyes to follow there movement. It was Sam. "But how?" Chris looks around and sees everyone around Bradley's desk, they seemed to be making something important because Noah was helping and even he was sweating. Chris tries to walk over but his feet wouldn't move, his voice wasn't working either, and no-one seemed to notice him.
Everyone but Bradley backs away from the computer after a few seconds "This should let us make contact with him if he still has his cellphone with him. But it seem's like only those with emotional contact with him can actually make it through to him." Everyone looks around nervously. Noone stepped forward, because they really didn't have that kind of relationship with him. F.J. breaks the silence.
"So who's the ones with that kind of relations?" Bradley raises his hand. "Well it has to be three people and we already have two people down." Sam looks at him quiz-idly "Well who would that be?" Cory leans back in his chair and smile "Of course me and Bradley." Adam raises his finger "But why three people." Cory starts eating a burrito from off the desk while Bradley explains "We need the last person to be on the headset and watch Christopher's movements while we keep the machines from burning out." Bradley point towards a machine next to.
Chloestra tilts her head, "Is that a blood pressure monitor?"
Bradley stands up in flash "I will have you know that this the relationship amplifier (A.K.A. the R.A.). It tells you the relationship between the you and the person you put into the style."
Chloestra puts her hands behind her back "In other words, its showing our relationships with Christopher." Bradley nods in agreement, he picks up the machine and says "Alright who's going first?"
Sam steps forward and pulls up her sleeve "Okay lets get this over with."
Bradley ties the wrap around her arm and starts the machine. The meter stops at half way and Bradley looks at it closely. "Hhhhmmm its says gf." Everyone freezes and looks at Sam. She glares at the "What, even I know what that means." No-one answers. Sam rolls her eyes and says "It means good friend duuuh." Everyone synchronizes and says "oooohhh" Bradley takes off the rap. "Thats not good enough. Next!"
Adam went next, then Noah and F.J. was about to go next when Chloestra stops them "I'll go next." Bradley puts the wrap around her arm, suddenly the machine starts beeping. Bradley looks at the meter "It says trust worthy on the meter." Sam steps forward and looks at the meter "What does that mean?" Cory scratches his head "Well..."
End Transmission
Suddenly, the dream ends and Chris is back in the doctors office. The man is standing in front of Chris with his hands behind his back.
"Have a nice nap?"
Chris stays silent for a while, then asks, "How is she?"
The man sighs, then sits next to him "Well, she only had a few injuries that were easy to patch up. I gave her a bath and washed her hair."
Chris frowns, "Whats the bad news?"
The man leans back and points towards the door leading to the back. "Go see for yourself."
Chris walks through the doorway and is met by the sight of dirty pieces of clothes and bloody rags. There are medical tools hanging from the ceiling, making it hard to stand up straight. There was even a saw on the counter. On the far side of the room, Chris can see the girl sitting up on a bed.
Chris walks over to her slowly, avoiding the tools that could poke his brains out. He sits down on the bed next to the girl. Her head is in her hands and she is shaking uncontrollably. The rags she had on are gone and she now is wearing a navy blue dress. Something touches his hand. He looks down and realizes it's her hair. It looks like it is made of gold. It goes all the way down to her waist, making it hard to figure out where her shoulders are.
Chris doesn't want to disturb her, but he needs to see if she is okay. He gently puts his hand on her shoulder and says, "Are you okay?" She flinches from the touch, but doesn't say anything.
After a few seconds she lifts her head and looks at him. Her eyes are red from crying and there are tear stains on her cheeks. She puts her hands on her lap and sits up. "I don't remember anything."
Chris stares at her in shock. "How can she not remember anything, the fight didn't seem to last that long."
She bows her head and her hair covers her face. She is still shaking, but she has stopped crying. Chris closes his eyes for a few seconds, then opens them again. He slides off the bed and gets on one knee, then unsheathes his sword and places it between his forehead and the girls.
"Hey," He whispers. The girl looks up at him, not making direct eye contact. Chris gives her his best caring smile. "I swear by this sword that I will get your memory back." She sniffles and wipes her eyes. Chris stands up and holds out his hand, "Come lets get out of here before the old man gives us an extra fee." She nods and takes his hand. Chris pulls her up and leads her out the room.
The doctor is sitting in his rocking chair reading a book called "How to milk a mooshroom. By ThinkNoodles." He acknowledges them without turning around. "So will that be all?"
Chris replies, "Yes."
The man closes the book. "Alright that will be one emerald for the dress and a gold nugget for the treatment."
Chris gives him a weird look. "Shouldn't that be the other way around?"
The man stands up and gets face to face with Chris, making the girl hide behind Chris. "Are you questioning me!?" Chris puts up his hands and shakes his head.
The man backs up and nods. "Good. Now, give me the money and skat, you runt."
The man slams the door behind the two as they exit. It is night and no one is around.
The girl looks at Chris. "What now?"
Chris scratches his head. "Well I have to go back to the plaza and deal with those merchants. I also need to find you a ho-" She grabs his arm and hugs it. "H-h-hey..." He stammers.
She snuggles up to him. "I don't want to be alone again...please." Something pings in the back of Chris' head. He grabs his head in pain as her words echo in his head over and over, like he's in a long hallway.
She looks up at him waiting for his answer. There is a long silence before he takes his head out of his hand. "I-I-I'm sorry, I will never abandon you ever. I swore by this sword." She smiles and grabs him by the neck and hugs him.
Torches appear out of no where and Chris and the girl are surrounded by people.
Chris holds the girl tight and yells out. "What do you want?"
All of a sudden, a sword lands near them both, vibrating the ground around it.
"Well, well, well. What do we have here boys?" The merchant leader from before walks up and picks up the sword. "So, its about time you showed up..." He points the sword at Chris. "Because you're late."
Chris was standing in front of the man—both of them had their sword's drawn and were surrounded by a crowd full of angry people, mercenaries, and one sheep. (A/N I have no idea.)
People started shouting, "Kill him now, kill him now!"
Chris shook his head, then got in a ready position. His left palm faced forward, while his right held the hilt in the front and the blade in the back. The mercenary leader readied his sword Chudan style. One of the mercenaries raised his hand to silence everyone.
Silence filled the city. Nothing could be heard other than the flames eating at the torches. Chris gripped his sword tightly, sweat rolling down his face as no-one moved from their spots.
...
"FIGHT!"
The Leader jumped forward in a flash, the sword above his head. Chris slid to his left, avoiding the blow. He swung his sword in a right arc. The leader brought up his sword and deflects it. Chris jumped back and landed at the edge of the crowd. Some of the mercenaries grabbed him and threw him back into the middle, where the Leader held out his arm and hit Chris full out in the face. The impact made him do a back-flip and land on his back.
The girl cried out and tried to run forward, but two of the mercenaries grabbed her and held her back. Chris looked up and ran towards them. He punched the first henchmen and kicked the second. The girl looked at his bruised face and smiled. Chris smiled back and was about to hug her when the Leader grabbed Chris' hair and threw him back in the circle. The girl yelled and scratched the Leader in the face. The man grunted in pain, turned to the girl, and slapped her. She fell to the floor and held her face.
The Leader snorted, "Stay where you are, stupid girl, and I'll get to you shortly."
Chris grabbed him in a full nelson and pulled him away from the girl. The Leader struggled to get out but Chris held on tight. Chris pushed his foot into the Leader's leg, forcing him down. The Leader flung his head back, hitting Chris in the nose and forcing him to release his grip and fall on his back. The Leader stood up and started flexing and stretching. He walked over to his sword, picked it up, and walked back over to Chris.
"Awwww, do you have a nose bleed?" He grabbed Chris by the neck and lifted him up. "You won't have to worry about that, you'll be bleeding somewhere else soon."
He thrust the sword forward, aiming straight for Chris's chest. Time seemed to slow down as the sword inched closer to Chris's chest. Chris looked at the girl and they made eye contact.
"Wow she's got real pretty eyes. I'd live just a few days to see those eyes."
The sword was a few inches from impact.
"You know what. I don't feel like dying today, let's change the direction of that sword."
Chris shifted his body away from the sword and grabbed the hilt. He pulled it out of The Leaders grasp, turned it around, and thrust it into his stomach.
The whole crowd gasped in shock as The Leader backed up and dropped to his knees. His crew started to back away, then one after another they start running away and yelling, "He's killed the Boss; make a run for it!"
After the mercenaries leave, the crowd disperses, complaining about "The fight not lasting that long." Chris, the girl, and the body of the mercenary leader were all that was left in the street. The girl walked up behind Chris and grabbed his arm.
She turned him away from the dead body and whispered,
"Can we leave? I don't like this place."
She looked at his hand and noticed he still had the bloody mercenaries sword with him. She opened his hand and let the sword fall out, so she could slip her hand in. She waved her other hand in front of his face. Chris grabbed her hand and squeezed it.
He looks down at her, smiled, and said, "Thank you."
He let go of her hand, walked over to his sword, and sheathed it. He walked back over to the girl and nodded at her. They walked towards the entrance of town, looked back, then left with only their current supplies to aid them on a journey of memories.
Well I think this was a good chapter. I should probably set up a schedule so I could let out chapters sooner. Yeah maybe sometime.
