I DON'T OWN HXH!

What the two boys didn't notice was that Arisu and Yume were walking towards them and heard the conversation. They froze up, eyes wide. "Did they just..." Arisu started. "...admit that they got a memory..." Yume continued. "...that has us in it?" They finished in unison.
-
"Yeah, I'm probably hallucinating. It's just a trick of the mind!" Arisu tried to reassure herself. Yume nodded and chanted, "It's a sick joke. It's a dream. A dream."
-
By now both of them were panicking and backing away very then, Killua and Gon just looked at them, utterly shocked. "Did you hear anything?" Killua asked, eyes narrowed.
"Why should we answer that?" Arisu shot back. Killua snarled, "Because I said so." "Who gave you authority over us? We're the hunters here." Arisu hissed.
The air got tense. Not even the sharpest knife could cut through this tension.
Let's get started.
Yume's P.O.V.
The air was tense, too tense for my liking. In the distance, I heard feet starting to pound against the ground. 'They're most likely running by now...' I thought.
Gon was nervously glancing at Killua then he glanced at Chiyo. I was just staring at Chiyo's back, trying to not look at Killua. So far, it's going my way. Gon spoke up, feeling awkward, "Please don't fight. Satotz-san and the others are already moving."
I tugged on a piece of Chiyo's hair, making her attention switch to me, along with the others'. I shrank under their stares.
I muttered, "We should go. You promised Menchi that you would make her a good dish during her phase. If we don't leave now, Menchi will be pissed."
Chiyo hesitated, but reluctantly agreed. Chiyo turned on her heel and started walking away, but not before shooting Killua another glare.
Killua returned the glare head on, but his eyes drifted and our eyes locked. I tried to keep my expression blank, but my emotions were rising over my hold.
I turned away quickly and briskly walked away, calling out behind me, "Better catch up with Satotz, or you won't pass this phase."
"Coming!" I heard Gon shout back.
Once we were in the dense fog, Chiyo told me, "I can't stand it! So what if we heard? We are Michiyo and Liliko!" She then faced me, "Killua seems too cautious, it will be hard to stick around."
I tugged on a strand of my hair and bit my lip. "That is true, but that's just the same as me saying that Gon is too trusting. It's their nature, not ours," I scolded Chiyo.
"Yeah, you're right," Chiyo agreed, and then changed the subject. "How far away is Satotz?"
I activated my en and searched for Satotz. "Five miles northeast from where we are standing," I informed Chiyo. Chiyo shook her head and sighed, "How far does your en even stretch?"
"Around sixteen miles," I replied. Chiyo muttered, "Damn. Mine's only twelve miles."
"Hey, you beat me in other things!" I tried to cheer Chiyo up. Chiyo smiled.
Gon's P.O.V
Killua and I sped up until we were close to the other applicants. "Gon, I think we should get closer to the front," Killua told me.
I nodded my head and replied, "Yeah. We shouldn't lose sight of Satotz-san.
"No, I'm more worried about Hisoka. He's blood-thirsty, I can smell it in the air," Killua stated. I sniffed the air and asked, "Smell?"
Killua shook his head and stated, "You wouldn't know. Hisoka and I are the same type." "What do you mean?" I asked.
Killua sighed and answered, "You shouldn't judge by looks, Gon."
I was still confused, but yelled, "Kurapika! Leorio! Killua said that we should move up!" "Can't you sense the tense air?" Killua asked me.
"Moron! We would've if we could!" I heard Leorio yell back.
Kurapika yelled, "Just keep on going Gon! We'll be fine!"
Even though Kurapika said that they would be fine, I was still worried. I kept on hearing screams, 'Are they really ok?' I asked myself. Killua and I stopped for a few seconds, but the ground gave away.
"Where are we?" I asked Killua, standing up. Some liquid was dripping off of me. Killua looked sightly disgusted as he replied, "In some animal's stomach."
I turned around, looking for a way out, when suddenly, the animal threw us up.
I rubbed the back of my neck and stood. "I guess it didn't like the taste of us."
Killua shook his head and said, holding up a familiar orange can, "No, it was because of this. I emptied it while we were in its stomach."
"Ah! That's Tonpa-san's can! I guess he saved us," I exclaimed. Killua 'hmph'ed and stated, "I could have gotten out of there easily." I grinned and said, "Let's go!"
We continued running in the thick fog. All of a sudden, I heard multiple screams. I soon heard two familiar ones.
I rushed to the direction the screams were coming from. The fog cleared slightly to show three lone standing figures. I scanned the clearing.
Hisoka was strangling Leorio while Kurapika was standing a distance away, yelling, "Leorio! Hisoka, let go of him right now!"
"Hmm? We're playing examiner," Hisoka replied. I saw Kurapika grit his teeth in anger, his eyes having a touch of red.
Before I could think through what I was doing, I flung my fishing rod at Hisoka, the red ball hitting his cheek. Hisoka dropped Leorio and slowly touched his cheek, then he turned in my direction.
"Pretty good kid. A fishing rod? What a peculiar weapon. Show it to me," Hisoka mused.
"Gon!" Kurapika exclaimed, a hint of anxiety in his voice.
I flung my fishing rod at Hisoka once more, but he disappeared right in front of me. I turned my head and caught a flash of red. Next thing I knew, I was the one being strangled instead of Leorio. My eyes widened, and I struggled to escape his iron grip.
Hisoka let go of me a few seconds later and I gasped for air.
"Don't worry, I won't kill your friend... Because he qualified!" Hisoka said while crouching down in front of me and smiling a wide but tight lipped smile.
He then stared at me intensely and I fidgeted under his intense gaze. "In fact, you qualify as well. You will become a good hunter," Hisoka finally uttered.
*Bip..Bip..Bip..* Hisoka pulled out a phone thing and a voice came out of it, saying, "Hisoka, hurry back. It won't be long until they reach the second exam site."
Hisoka stood and replied, "Okay, I'm on my way." He put up his phone thing and turned to me and stated, "Both of our companions are waiting for us. You'll find your way back, I assume?" He threw Leorio over his shoulder.
"Yes..." I answered hesitantly. Hisoka walked off, the fog making him disappear.
Kurapika came running up to me. "Gon! Are you alright?!" He asked, clearly worried.
I stood and told Kurapika, "I'm fine, follow me!" And with that, I ran off.
