Phineas lies in his bed just sitting restless. It had been 1 week, 3 days, and 6 hours since they have last spoken. "Ugh!" Phineas turns in his bed toward his clock. 12:36. He sits up in his bed and just looks around his room in the dark he sees a very old platypus lying at the foot of his bed. He gets up and goes to his closet. He pulls out the box that he has wrapped up for Isabella. "You know what I'm tired of waiting." He grabs the silvery blue wrapped box and walks across the street to his neighbor's house and calls his soon to be date.
After 3 rings he hears a quiet voice "Hello?" "Izzy?" "Phin? What are you doing up it's... Midnight." "Yeah, I know but I couldn't wait for you to look outside your window." "PHINEAS! WHAT IS THAT?!" "Will you let me upstairs to show you?" "Yeah hold on." Before Phineas could hang up the phone Isabella is already out the door saying "Watcha' Holdin?" Phineas rolls his eyes as he walks through the threshold. They silently go into Isabella's room and Phineas whispers "Open it; it's your birthday present. I couldn't wait to give it to you." "Aww thank you Phineas! You really are the best friend anyone could have." He blushes as she gives a hug. She unravels the bow and wrapping paper and opens the box and finds another box with a letter on top of it.
It says "If you want the awesome surprise you better getting working there's lots of boxes to open ;)" "PHIN!" "What!? I thought it would be fun?" "Yeah, for you!" for another twenty minutes Isabella is there unraveling bows, unwrapping gift paper, and opening boxes. Finally, there are two tiny boxes left she opens the heavier one first, inside there is a sparkling moonstone* on a necklace. "Oh my gosh, this is beautiful! You did NOT have to get me this." "That's what you say every year; you did NOT have to get me this." "Be quiet." "You want me to put it on for you?" Phineas asks. Isabella just nods back and hands him the necklace.
She picks up her pitch black hair and as Phineas clips it up his hands accidently hit the scar on her head. "OWWW!" "Sorry! What was that?" Nervously Isabella responds, "Nothing now can you please get on with this?" "Um, yeah sure." She breathes with relief. "Wonder what that was about." She opens the other box and asks her crush "I can't see what it is." "Oh yeah, sorry it's me asking you out on a date for a movie and a dinner." "I'm sorry can you repeat that." The flamed hair teen laughs and restates "Izzy, I am asking you out for a movie and dinner." "…. And this isn't a dream." "Correct." "..And this is not a prank?" "NO, it isn't a prank either." Even in the dark the whole house could feel the excitement that Izzy felt at that moment. "Oh, yeah cool! That sounds like so much fun! Can't wait!" "Well gotta go and try and sleep now, bye Izzy." "Bye Phin."
When he walks home he hears a loud high pitched scream from across the road. "Wow must have made her night." He thinks as he walks into the comfort of his own home.
