Chapter 4
At night, Gadget was resting while Sheba was behind the wheel of the RV. Rooney came up and sat in the passenger side and put her seatbelt on as Sheba turned the windshield wipers on.
"I hate the fucking rain." said Sheba.
"Yep." said Rooney. "Reminds me of that backstabbing bitch, Nadia."
"I'm gonna just stay off that subject, because I know how you are, I wasn't there and I don't know what to believe." said Sheba.
"I'll tell you what to believe." said Salty from the back and walked up front. "I was beginning a healthy relationship with her friend Nadia and even got her pregnant. I had this relationship with her because Rooney turned me down. Nadia thought we had something going, so she ran away and now I got kids I've never once laid my eyes on. I don't even know if they're okay."
"Wow..." said Sheba. "That's... That's pretty... deep..."
"Well... The world's too big..." said Salty. "It sucks major ass."
Sheba said nothing. Rooney had a sense how she was feeling.
"Are you scared?" asked Rooney.
"I'm terrified." said Sheba. "I know my husband saw Billy. I'm scared of the possibility that he might be following us, or even on the RV with us."
"Oh, come on." said Salty. "Why do you all believe in this stupid fake legend I made up?"
"Maybe you did make it up." said Sheba. "But it's not fake anymore."
"Right, right." said Rooney. "And how many times has something came to life?"
"Movies became real multiple times." said Sheba. "If you used the internet much, you'd know that Coldsprings-Wilderville, Montana is infamous for that. In 2010, shortly after two new cows arrived, DJ and Missy, real good friends of mine, the farm was infested my meat-eating bugs from the 2003 TV series, Tremors. Luckily, no one was ever even hurt, but still. Sometime later, another couple films' plots unleashed themselves, Maximum Overdrive and Trucks. Open your eyes, both of you. Our world is crazier than what you see every day."
"Damn..." said Rooney. "So... This guy could actually be after us..."
