Really, everything stayed the same. People's attitude changed and the time restarted once every year instead of every day. I would spend my time at school and then stay afterschool with Mary Margaret to help her grade the younger kid's papers. We both loved the company. Over time, I also became friends with Grace. She goes by Paige here. Papa's (Jefferson) happy because he gets to see Grace every day now. He also gets out a lot more. Life went on as usual, until the Mayor decided to adopt.
I met Henry at school one day. Madame Mayor had asked Mary Margaret to watch him. I had gone to school early that day so I could help her set up. The Mayor was giving Henry to Mary Margaret and she seemed in a rush. "Hello Madame Mayor. How have you been?" The mayor looked at me. "Oh Ellie. Good. Could you help Ms. Blanchard watch Henry, please? I have to go." She gave us a quick glance and then she ran out. "Here Ellie. Try holding him." Mary Margaret passed Henry over to me. "Isn't he so cute?" When I first looked in his eyes I almost dropped him. It was him. The truest believer. Suddenly, I felt sick. I was holding the very person Peter had kept me alive for, in my own hands. The person I would be responsible for killing. I felt like throwing up. I quickly gave him back and started sorting the papers. That was the last time I saw Henry for the next ten years.
TIME JUMP
The morning ten years, three days, and five hours after I had first met Henry, my father and I were woken up by a frantic Mary Margaret. "Henry's missing," she said. I quickly jumped up and threw a long coat over my clothes. Then, I grabbed my converse and tried to put them on as I went down the stairs. My father was at the door slipping on his boots quickly. I noticed that he was already dressed in his jeans and overcoat. We ran out and went straight to the mayor's house. Regina was frantically rushing around as the sheriff tried to calm her down. She told us that she had woken up and Henry was gone.Nobody wanted to argue with the Mayor, so we spent all day looking for him. Finally at around nine at night, Henry came home. With the savior. I walked forward, "You are a horrid person." I hissed to Emma and then walked away.
Felix was pacing back and forth. "Peter please, she didn't mean to leave this time, you can't-" he broke off. Peter turned around. "Actually, I can. The last time I checked, I was in charge. Not you. No, this is my decision. You should be thanking me though. I was going to use your dead body, but I was persuaded out of that idea. I think she'll love our surprise, don't you?" Felix just glared. Peter smirked then walked out of the room. As soon as Peter was gone Felix paced, worried "I have to warn her about..."
I was shaken awake from my dream abruptly. "Come on Ellie. You're going to be late." I jumped up and got ready. The school day was boring. I tried to pay attention in class, but I kept thinking on my dream. Warn me about what? RIIIINNNNNGGGGG! The bell rang, signaling the end of school. I grabbed my backpack out of my locker and walked out of school. As I got closer to Granny's, I heard muttering get louder and louder. When someone screamed I took off running. I pushed through the crowd. "Devin...?" "El-sa," he croaked out. I kneeled and propped his shoulder under mine. By the time I got us home, I was exhausted. I set him down on the couch. "What are you doing here?" I asked. "You may want to sit down." I sat, and then nodded for him to go on. "So when you left, Peter got pissed. You had gotten away from him again. We all know what he wants from you, even though you don't. He got angrier and angrier. So twenty years went by, and Peter threw a fit. He couldn't find you, his magic wouldn't show him the way, and his shadow was blocked from you. Felix had then said that he was glad you got away. Peter, being Peter, just got even more pissed and ordered a whipping. At a certain number of lashes I thought it was enough, so I tried to interfere. But then I got punished. He sent me here with a message." Devin reached into his pocket and retrieves a crumpled piece of paper.
It said:
Elsa,
If you really thought you could get away from me, you thought wrong. Remember when we first met? I will always find you. You are mine. And you know it. Your magic, your soul, your body, and you belong to me. You're not getting away, not this time love.
I shuddered. "Bloody hell! He's never going to fucking give up, is he?" Devin shook his head. "I don't think he is."
TIME JUMP
It was the middle of the afternoon when I got a call from Emma. "Elsa? Regina's missing." "What!?" Where could Regina have gone? I asked myself. "Yeah... and so is Tamara." Fuck. "Ok. Where do you want me to meet you?" "The docks." "Ok," I sighed. "I'm on my way." I arrived at the docks just as Emma, Snow, Charming and... No. Not him! "When in the god damn hell did he get here?" I ask, pointing to Hook. "You know it's not nice to point lass." "You know it's not nice to leave someone on a ship, on an island full of boys, who kill for fun, then when they get hurt and kidnapped, then taken to get healed then followed and weird-ed out, then abandon them, papa." I spit out the last word. He stumbled back. "Elsa?" I glared at Emma. "Tamara?" I decided that I would resort to one word responses. "Gone." I cursed. "Regina?" "Trying to stop the fail-safe." "Let's go."
"I can't stop this on my own, it's too powerful." I could see Regina visibly straining. "Maybe you can't, but maybe we can." Emma and Regina stopped the fail-safe. "I guess you were right kid" Emma says turning around. "Henry?!" She looked back at all of us. "They took him." We all ran out of the mines. Spotting Greg and Tamara, we ran even faster. We had almost reached them, but Tamara and Greg jumped into a portal. Because we had no idea where they had gone, although I had a clue, we then decided to go to Gold. He agreed to help and my father offered his ship as a traveling vessel. "So, where are we going anyway?" Emma asked. Both Hook and Gold looked at me before answering. "Neverland."
