Echo: I think I let this story sit too long… Far longer than I would have liked… So here's chapter four!

The members of the Team looked expectantly at Conner, waiting to hear what the clone of Superman heard. Shifting his weight, Conner turned to look at his teammates, shaking his head just slightly. "There's no trace of Robin." Disappointment was an obvious tone in his voice as Superboy spoke.
Any look of hope had vanished from their faces at Superboy's words. If Martian Manhunter was unable to find any trace of Robin within Zack's mind, then they were back at square one.
They were all frustrated with the situation. First, their teammate swapped minds with some stranger. Then there was the fact that Batman had declared the situation a League matter.
That was probably the most frustrating thing about this situation. They couldn't do anything if it was a League matter. It was understandable. After all, Robin was Batman's partner. But he was also their teammate!
If Batman and the rest of the League thought they were just going to sit and watch from the sidelines then they were wrong. Every one of them had a point to argue.
The world may still know them as sidekicks, but they were not longer fell under that word. They were heroes in their own right and had proved that right countless times. Yet they still had less experience in being heroes than their mentors. It was worth noting, that their mentors had no one to learn from, no one to help them when they didn't know what to do. That was the one difference between them.
"Come on, Robin is our teammate so we should be the ones to find him!" Kid Flash was the one to break the silence. Even if the League did call jurisdiction on this case, simply due to Batman wanting his protégé back to normal. Nevertheless, Robin was their teammate as well and if the League believed that they would just sit back and do nothing then they were sadly mistaken.
It went without saying that the rest of the team agreed with the young speedster. Kid Flash's words were on all their minds. After a moment, Aqualad nodded his head. He was this team's leader and as such he would take the necessary actions. "If we are all in agreement, then we will need a plan."
LINE BREAK
Batman was silent as he heard there was no trace of Robin. The deep frown on his face, though, said everything and yet nothing as to what he was thinking. Just how could there be no trace of Robin within his own mind? It was rather aggravating to a certain degree. A completely perfect mind swap. One, in fact, that didn't even leave a single trace of who was responsible for such an act. Not that he didn't have a clue.
He knew exactly who could be behind such an act. However, he wanted to know how and why. Then there was the matter of Zack. Who was he and why had his mind swapped with Robin's?
An aggravated sigh escaped his lips as he pinch the bridge of his nose through his mask. He was going to be up well into the morning. Alfred wasn't going to be happy with that.
In the back of his mind there was one singular thing that kept nagging at him. If Zack had woken up then Robin had to as well. They had protocols for situations like this, blame it on him for being paranoid but it was helpful to have a plan for just about everything. One of the main components for this protocol was Robin contacting him in some way. That had yet to happen.
He had set up alerts for every single form of contact that he had. However, that still didn't stop him from checking his contacts every five minutes. After all, by his time frame, Robin was late and he had taught Robin to never be late.
LINE BREAK
Entering the land of the conscious, he couldn't help but let a groan escape. His head was pounding as if his head had been constantly slammed against a brick wall for several hours. Not fun.
After a moment of adjusting to the pain, he slowly opened his eyes, only to be greeted by darkness. It was a bit unsettling and nothing like the darkness he was used to. However, he could worry about the comfort level of the darkness later. He needed to figure out where he was and a way out.
As he stood up slowly, he heard the rattling sound of chains. Glancing to where he hands and feet would be, it was only then he realized he had chains around his wrists and ankles. How the hell did he not realize that earlier? Not only that, but he felt different all around. His height, now that he thought about had changed, he was taller.
Shaking his head slightly, he forced himself to focus. First things first, he needed to release the chains from his wrists and ankles. After that, he would need to figure out the dimensions of this room in order to escape. Then he would need to find a way to contact Batman.
It was a bit complex, but it was nothing he couldn't handle. He had been trained to deal with just about every situation that his mentor could think of. All he had to do was find something that he could pick a lock with and unlock the chains without being able to see. A piece of cake.
