Dani could not believe her eyes when she stormed in to what used to be her brothers room when he lived under the same roof as her and their parents. For a moment she wondered if she had fallen the night before and maybe cracked her head against the pavement or a tombstone. It would explain what she was seeing because honestly, only a severe head wound could conjure up something so real. Thackery Binx had been gone for years and even if he were still alive she was pretty sure he would be a cat. She had seen him move on in to the spirit world and it had broken her heart. The young woman wasn't sure she would be strong enough to handle losing him for a second time.
"I told you not to tell her!" The once again human male from another time locked his gaze with Dani even though the words he spoke were directed towards her brother and Allison. "I agreed to come back to the house Max, but you told me you would keep Dani away for the time being."
Fire filled her brown eyes at hearing his statement. "So you didn't want to see me? You're here and you're alive yet you thought it best I not know the truth? Out of everyone in this room I think I have earned that right."
"Dani, I-" Max had intended on saying something to calm his sister down, but the look on her face had him quickly rethinking said plan.
"Don't you dare 'Dani' me Max Dennison." She snapped while at the same time shoving her finger in his chest for emphasis. "You should have called me as soon as you found out and not waited over three hours. It was Allison who called me and I know you told her not to in the first place. You know better than anyone what I have gone through over the years since that night. You were there for all of the tears, the nightmares, and all the other emotional distress or whatever it was the shrink mom and dad sent me to called it. My whole life has been effected and I deserved to find out he was back differently and you know it."
"It was my call Dani." Thackery said quickly trying to stop the argument from getting worse. "It wasn't going to be forever, just until I have everything figured out. If you need someone to be angry with then please be angry with me."
"Oh I am." She replied while crossing her arms over her chest. "So what is going on? Have the witches somehow come back? If they have then why are you here in human form instead of feline?"
Moving to sit down next to him, Dani waited for his reply. "This has nothing to do with the Sanderson sisters and everything to do with my annoying little sister Emily who feels she must be in control of everything."
"How could Emily bring you back to human form?" Allison questioned as she ran her left hand over her rather large baby bump. "Plus why would she do it?"
"I'm not sure how she did it." He admitted with a deep frown which pulled the corners of his eyes down slightly. ""She said something about a higher power and me having to take what I wanted because I would not get a second chance to do so. Before I had the chance to ask her what she was speaking of, I woke up in the cemetery alive and breathing. I have no idea what I'm supposed to do from this point on and I have no hope she will show up and explain things with more clarity. That's just the way she has always been."
"Well that settles it then." The youngest Dennison stated before standing up and wiping her hands on her thighs. "Until either Emily decides to tell you what is going on or you manage to figure it out on your own, I really don't see what we can do. If you're going to be here for a while then you will need to fit in so you are coming shopping with with myself and Allison she we can get you in some clothes from this century. Come on, get up, and Max, you are going to pay for this shopping trip if you ever want to live in peace again."
