I do not own transformers or Dare To Be Stupid by Weird Al
School was a night mare and while Autumn was happy to see her friends, she found it difficult to keep Blaster hidden from everyone else. The shrunken in size mech was overly curious about everyone and everything and she was forced to quietly answer each question, gaining strange looks from the students around her. Needless to say that when the last bell rang she felt like a huge weight had been taken off of her shoulders.
They made it back home in record time and too tired from the day's events, Autumn failed to take note that Mario was not at the door as usual to greet her until she got to her room. Freezing, she could only look on at the destruction of what used to be her sanctuary. Her bed was knocked to the side; blankets on the floor and some of the paintings on her wall were torn or had fallen from their perches. The papers on her desk were messed up and the true horror was that her shelf containing her beloved Transformers collection had fallen over. The culprit to the destruction was scratching at the floor by it, obvious to his master standing at the door.
"Damn," Blaster murmured, causing Autumn to jump having forgotten that he had jumped out of her bag when they had entered the house. Regaining her senses, she nodded numbly and looked back up anger forming in her eyes at the destruction of her room.
"M-A-R-I-O!" She yelled. The dog looked up at her though big wide eyes and Autumn pointed in the general direction of the door, "Get out!"
The dog sprinted out whimpering vapidly and suddenly feeling tired she sat on her bed with her head in her hands.
"Ah always knew that beast had some power behind his size," Blaster chuckled amusedly, and barley dodged the shoe she threw at him with a scathing glare, "Sorry."
"I just don't understand," Autumn raised her head looking towards the bot sadly, "Mario's such a god dog. I trained him myself since he was a puppy and he's never done something like this."
"Maybe a circuit is lose in his processor?" Blaster offered.
Autumn could not help herself and despite of the situation, rolled her eyes sarcastically, "Yeah sure, we squishy's can open our skulls and replace our brains as we please. Apparently the ones with the most amount of stupid are popular these years."
"A virus perhaps?" the bot shrugged his shoulders and kicked the computer mouse that had fallen to the floor.
"No he's had all his vaccines and he goes for checkups regularly," She shook her head and rested her chin in her palm as she thought, "The only time I've known him to go nuts is when he sees a moving squirrel."
"What's a squirrel?" blaster asked wearily.
"Cute woodland creature with bushy tails," she replied absently and raised from her bed to turn her laptop back over to the right side, "Here I'll show you."
And with that she powered up her laptop and found an image of the creature mentioned. While he was occupied she walked over to her beloved shelf and with a harsh tug, lifted the heavy wood back upwards. Her action figures were scattered over the floor, one or two with broken arms and legs. Signing she settled down onto her hunches and picked them all up one by one. She settled the ones without damages back onto the shelves and gently carried the others over to her desk.
"Come to think of it," she said thoughtfully, "you guys are roughly the size of a squirrel. And you move around. Maybe he thought you were bright eyed and bushy tailed."
Blaster looked appalled, "No way. I'm no squishy and I am not cute."
"I don't know," she smiled mirthfully, "You could be."
"Not a chance," Blaster grit though his teeth, "I'm all mech, no fluffy business here."
Autumn rolled her eyes, "Whatever you say blaster."
The bot mumbled something in another language that Autumn guessed was Cybertrionion and she shook her head and looked down at the toy bots on her desk. Her smile dropped and she felt tears enter her eyes.
"Little lady?" Blaster whispered when she went quiet, "You alright? Autumn?"
She looked up at him though sad eyes and his face immediately became concerned, "Why you leaking? Are you hurt?!"
"No," she chuckled slightly and shook her head, "no, I'm not hurt. I'm crying, we humans do it when we're really sad or happy."
"Why are you sad?" he asked as she ran her hand gently over the damage on a Wheeljack toy's leg.
"When I was younger," she replied pulling open a drawer, "I didn't really socialize with other people that well. Because of it, the other children in school would bully me a lot. The transformers show really was the only thing that kept me sane over those years. And these toys, they were my only friends."
He could only watch as she pulled out some special glue, wire and paints, not knowing how to respond to that. Slowly one by one she fixed each of the broken limbs and attached them back to their owners. When she reached out for Sideswipe who had lost both an arm and a leg, he earned an idea, not liking the sad look she had.
"Want some music to listen to?" He asked and she nodded absently, sticking the pieces together and frowning at the bite marks that graced his plastic frame. With his plan in mind, Blaster transformed and plugged a cable into her speakers, which had managed to stay in one place when Mario had wrecked the room. He quickly selected a song and let it play midblast.
"Put down that chain saw and listen to me.
It's time for us to join in the fight.
It's time to let your babies grow up to be cowboys.
It's time to let the bedbugs bite.
You better put all your eggs in one basket.
You better count your chickens before they hatch.
You better sell some wine before its time.
You better find yourself an itch to scratch."
Autumn smiled despite how she felt and slowly began to tap her foot to the beat. She gently attached Sideswipe leg to his body and Sang along to the tune.
"You better squeeze all the Charmin you can,
When Mr. Whipple's not around.
Stick your head in the microwave, and get yourself a tan.
Talk with your mouth full.
Bite the hand that feeds you.
Bite off more than you can chew.
What can you do?
Dare to be stupid."
Happy with her work and already singing, she opened her paints and dipped her brush into the red color, missing as he glowed a bright red glow with gold stripes crossing over it. Blaster too absorbed in the combination of her lifted spirits and the song, also missed the spectacle his comrade's frame gave off. By the time she looked back the glow had disappeared.
"Take some wooden nickels.
Look for Mr. Goodbar.
Get your mojo working now.
I'll show you how.
You can dare to be stupid.
You can turn the other cheek.
You can just give up the ship.
You can eat a bunch of sushi, then forget to leave a tip.
Dare to be stupid.
Come on and dare to be stupid.
It's so easy to do.
We're all waiting for you.
Let's go!
It's time to make a mountain out of a molehill.
So can I have a volunteer?
There's no more time for crying over spilled milk.
Now it's time for crying in your beer.
Settle down, raise a family, join the P.T.A.
Buy some sensible shoes and a Chevrolet.
Then party till you're broke, and they drag you away.
It's okay... you can dare to be stupid."
Aumtum stuck her tong playfully out of her mouth and painted the last bit off blue for Sideswipe's optics and grabbed her red paint brush to finish around his helm.
"It's like spitting on a fish.
It's like barking up a tree.
It's like I said, you gotta buy one if you wanna get one free.
Dare to be stupid.
Yes. Why don't you dare to be stupid.
It's so easy, so easy to do.
We're all waiting for you.
Burn your candle at both ends.
Look a gift horse in the mouth.
Mashed potatoes can be your friends.
You can be a coffee achiever.
You can sit around the house
And watch "Leave It To Beaver."
The future's up to you.
So what you gonna do?
Dare to be stupid.
Dare to be stupid.
What did I say?
(Dare to be stupid.)
Tell me, what did I say?
(Dare to be stupid.)
It's all right.
(Dare to be stupid.)
We can be stupid all night.
(Dare to be stupid.)
Come on, join the crowd.
(Dare to be stupid.)
Shout it out loud.
(Dare to be stupid.)
I can't hear you.
(Dare to be stupid.)
Okay, I can hear you now.
(Dare to be stupid.)"
Autumn smiled as the song drew to a close and peered over at the cassette player.
"Thank you Blaster," She nodded her thanks and placed her paint brush down, "I needed that."
"no worries little lady," Blaster bowed gracefully for a toy, "You needed it."
"Who needed what?" A familiar voice asked from her desk, "And you missed a spot femme."
Autumn gasped and peered down at Sideswipe who looked around at them.
"How the slag did I get here?"
