The Doctor fiddled with the controls on the panel as Castiel looked at it curiously.
"This machine is... Strange." He said. "You're planets technology is highly advanced."
"This isn't even best model." The Doctor replied.
"Bragging again are we?" River asked, joining the two men in the console room.
"Of course not Darling." He flipped a switch and smiled at his wife. His smile faltered when Scarlett ran in panicking.
"What's wrong Sweetie?" River asked, turning her attention to her daughter.
"Joelle called. Her and her dad were attacked. She's alright but they have Mr. Harkness."
"Did she say who attacked?" Castiel asked.
"She said they looked like normal people, but they had black eyes."
"I need to talk to Dean." Cas said, leaving the room.
"We have to go help her!" Scarlett cried. "They could come back for her!"
"Relax sweetheart." The Doctor said, hugging his daughter. "We will go help her. But you need to calm down. She'll be scared enough without her girlfriend fussing over her."
"What's going on?" John asked. "I heard someone crying."
"We need to make a quick stop." River said, taking over the controls.
"Why? What's happening?"
"It appears these men will do anything to get to us." The Doctor explained. "Demons have attacked Scarlett's girlfriend."
"They took her dad." Scarlett added, tears soaking her face.
"We won't be there long." River said. "We just need to make sure she's alright."
"We're just gonna leave her dad with demons?"
"Jack can take care of himself." The doctor assured Scarlett. "We'll take Joelle somewhere safe. If we have to she'll come with us. But we can't go looking for trouble." The TARDIS shook to life and knocked John off his feet.
Once they landed, Scarlett waisted no time. She yanked the door opened and ran to the house. She didn't bother knocking. She found Joelle curled up on the couch. Her lip was split and she had several other cuts and bruises on her face and arms. Some still bleeding.
"Are you alright?" Scarlett asked, collecting her in her arms.
"What were they?" She asked. "My dad didn't know. Were they aliens?"
"No, they weren't aliens." Scarlett replied. "But it doesn't matter what they are. You're fine and and you're dads gonna be fine."
"It was so scary." She said, burying her face in the crook of Scarlett's neck. "I didn't know what to do."
"It's okay baby." She kissed her head. Neither of them noticed Cas, and Dean enter.
"Why don't you two go to the TARDIS." Cas said gently. Scarlett nodded and helped Joelle stand up, leading her from the house. She winced trying to walk and leaned into Scarlett more, giving her injured ankle a rest.
They were met with John almost immediately.
"Is she alright?" He asked Scarlett.
"Joelle," she said gently. "This is John, he's gonna look at your injuries. Alright?" She nodded weakly and sat down on the steps. John inspecting and cleaning her wounds.
"Nothing too bad." John said. "Though you should stay off the ankle a while." He wrapped her ankle in a bandage he'd gotten from the medical bay. "Before you answer any questions I suggest you get some rest."
"Come on Baby." Scarlett said softly, helping her up. She led her to her room and helped her onto the bed. "Are you gonna be okay alone?"
"Don't go anywhere." Joelle said, lacing her fingers through Scarlett's. "I can't be alone right now." Scarlett nodded and climbed in next to her, wrapping her arms around her.
