A/N: I keep coming back to these two over and over again. They've gotta be my OTP. I still don't own Ghost Hunt.
Mai sighed in relief as Naru slid into the backseat next to her and closed the door. "Glad that's over with," she said.
Naru stretched out across the back seat, resting his head in her lap. He looked up at her and smiled, while she brushed the bangs out of his face.
"At least you didn't choose that behemoth of a dress with the 50 pound train," he mused, closing his eyes. "It would have taken half an hour to stuff you and that dress into the back of this limo."
"50 pound tra-! Naru! How did you know I was even considering that dress?" she glared down at him. He just opened his eyes and gave her a knowing smirk.
"Tch," she muttered and raised her fist to punch his stomach. Instead, Naru caught her hand and brought it up to his lips.
"Your dress is beautiful, Mai," he said and kissed her fingers gently.
She smiled down at him. Mai was glad she opted for a simple A-line strapless dress. It suited her more than that monster of a dress Ayako wanted her to wear. Naru was right: it was god-awful.
Naru sat up and wrapped an arm around her shoulders. "I do like this dress better," Mai told him, as she snuggled into his side. She grabbed his left hand and started playing with the gold band that newly adorned his ring finger.
"Hm, then I'll have to take care not to rip it off of you later tonight," he replied nonchalantly.
"Oh? Later tonight, hm?" she asked him playfully.
"Or we could head back to our room now and skip this reception," Naru replied, and pulled Mai onto his lap.
"We can't do that. What about everyone waiting for us?" she asked.
"Well, there's still 20 minutes left until we arrive; I'm sure we can work something out," he said, kissing her neck, sliding his lips gently up to her jaw.
Mai felt Naru's hand slip under her dress and coast lightly past her knee. She wrapped both arms around his neck. "Do you really think 20 minutes is enough?" she murmured to him.
"If I recall, your fastest time is 5 minutes," he whispered into her ear, smiling.
Mai turned beet red and pounded her small fists against his shoulders. "NARUUUUU!" she yelled.

"Did you hear something?" Bou-san asked Ayako as they walked back to the church parking lot.
"Hm? Hear what? I didn't hear anything," Ayako replied.
"You're probably deaf now, considering your age," he mumbled.
Ayako stopped and turned on him. "What did you say?" she asked menacingly. Or, as menacingly as a pregnant woman in her third trimester could be.
"Nothing, nothing! I said you're as radiant as ever!" he exclaimed, as he ducked her flying purse.
"This is your fault, you know," she huffed and turned to waddle back to their car.
Bou-san caught up to her and put an arm around her. "Marrying you was the happiest decision I've ever made, my dear Ayako," he said and kissed her temple.
"I don't know why you have to get me so worked up," she pouted. "It's not good for pregnant women."
"Or beached whales," he muttered.
"What was that!? Houshouu!" Ayako yelled, and berated him with her purse.
"She's definitely adding bricks to her purse," Bou-san thought miserably.
