I Do Not Own Naruto or Any of Its Characters

A/N: I LIIIIVE! Sorry guys I have been gone far too long. I had a bit of writer's block. But I think I am really into getting back into writing this fic. For my reviewers who are following my other story, I'm sorry to say that I am still a little stuck on that one. But never fear I will finish it too soon enough.

Chapter 4

Hinata sighed as she scanned the racks of a popular store to find something to wear that night. She really didn't have too much time to look because of work, but now he she was with Ino trying to find the perfect dress.

"Hina-chan, try these two on. I heard from a very reliable source that Iruka-san loves blue," Ino said handing Hinata the two dresses.

Hinata took the dresses with a smile. She herself kind of figured he liked blue just from seeing his living room that one time. There was only one problem with the dresses. "Um, Ino-chan…I uh think you got me the wrong size."

Ino shook her head. "Um no, no I don't think so. I'm pretty sure they will fit you just fine. Just try them on," Ino said pushing Hinata towards the dressing rooms. "Make sure you come out so I can see you."

Hinata place both the dresses on a hook in the dressing room. She was sure the dresses were not her size. They just seemed so small in her opinion. The first dress was pale blue halter top. Hinata decided to try it on first. Just as she thought, there was no way she could wear something this small. "Um Ino-chan… I think I need a bigger size," Hinata said peeking her head out the door.

Ino stood up and just walked into Hinata's dressing room. "You look great!" Ino said spinning Hinata around.

"You don't think it's a too short?" Hinata asked trying to pull the dress down.

"No it's supposed to be this short and kind of flow as you move," Ino answered.

"Well it is a pretty color, b-but I don't think this is for me."

Ino handed Hinata the second dress. It was nave blue in color. "Well there is no way you're leaving without this one," Ino said. "So hurry up and try it on!"

IH….NI

Both Naruto and Sasuke sat in Hinata's living room. Sasuke could not believe he agreed to this. If had been anyone other than Hinata there was no way he would have agreed.

"So Sasuke, I heard you had a thing for Hinata-chan…"

Sasuke frowned. "Where did you hear something like that?"

Naruto wiggled his brows. "Awe come on teme, Kiba told me you had the hots for a Hyuga."

Sasuke snorted in response. It would take those to idiots to create the idea of him liking Hinata like she is the only Hyuga in the village. Who was he to correct the small talk amongst idiots?

"So this is your chance to make her yours," Naruto encouraged a little lo happily for Sasuke's taste.

"And this is coming from idiot whose girlfriend wooed him?"

Naruto blushed and frowned. "Hey! It wasn't like that and you know! I just didn't know she was into me at the time."

Sasuke shrugged. "Makes no difference dobe…." Sasuke enjoyed confusing Naruto. It was so easy to get him all worked up over nothing and it worked because Naruto wasn't trying to pry into his love life now.

"Hey guys," Ino said joining the two in the living room. She was wear a lavender strapless dressed that stopped mid-thigh. "She looks awesome guys! Come one out Hinata!"

Hinata slowly walked into the living room. She couldn't help bust blush when they all turned to look at her. She shifted a bit under their stare. The nave dress hugged her curves perfectly. It wasn't too short because it stopped just above her knees and the off the shoulder straps didn't reveal too much.

"Looking good Hinata-chan!" Naruto praised loudly.

"See I told you!" Ino added.

Sasuke just looked at her. She did look good in her dress. "Nice dress," Sasuke said flatly. Hinata Just smiled and thanked them all.

"Well let's get going I'm ready to dance!" Ino said taking Naruto's hand.

Hinata stood awkwardly next to Sasuke not knowing what to do. "Relax," Hinata heard Sasuke deep voice whisper. She nodded and took his offered arm. She was really hoping this was going to work.

Once outside Hinata noticed that Iruka and Shizune had already joined Naruto and Ino on the walk way. Hinata could help but admire Shizune's candy red dress. The dress was strapless and fit her well. Hinata was beginning to think her dress wasn't sexy enough compared to the bold number Shizune was wearing. Hinata looked up at Sasuke when she felt his hand on her hip.

"Let's go," Sasuke said with him and Hinata leading the way. Hinata a bit disappointed she didn't get to say hello to Iruka.

Iruka couldn't help but notice how great Hinata looked. He also noticed how possessive Sasuke seemed too. He couldn't blame him though. Hinata looked really good in that dress. Iruka just pushed the thoughts from his mind when Shizune linked their arms.

Hinata and Sasuke sat at a booth. She couldn't help but stare at Iruka and Shizune as they dance on the floor. The music was booming all around them and for some reason she seemed to tune it out. She was not having a good time and she was strongly regretting coming at all. Sasuke rolled his eyes at the love struck Hyuga. She was supposed to be making him jealous not staring at them like some creepy fangirl.

"Get up." Hinata looked up to see Sasuke holding out his hand for her. Hinata took his hand and was pulled to her feet. "Just go with whatever I do." And with that Sasuke led them to the dance floor not far from where Iruka and Shizune were dancing.

Sasuke pulled Hinata against him and started moving to the beat. It quickly obvious to Sasuke that Hinata was not much of a dancer due to her awkward movements. Sasuke leaned down by her ear. "Close your eyes and just feel the beat." Hinata couldn't help but blush. She might have been in love with Iruka, but Sasuke would make the most faithful woman swoon being so close.

After a while Hinata started to feel comfortable in Sasuke's arms. Their movements became in sync and Hinata was starting to feel confident in her dancing. The music slowed downed and Sasuke pulled her close again. She felt his hand on her butt and she blushed. She was about to push him away until he said the weirdest thing to her. "Don't tell your cousin."

"W-what?"

"You heard me and plus lover boy is looking…"

Iruka couldn't help but look over to where Hinata and Sasuke were dancing. He really had no idea they were so close. He remembered Hinata saying that she wasn't seeing anyone, but it seemed like her and Sasuke were a lot more than friends. The way they were dancing now almost seemed intimate on some level. Sasuke's hands were all over her and Hinata didn't seem to mind at all.

But what Iruka really couldn't understand was why he even cared about what their relationship was. He was clearly having a good time with Shizune, right? 'Of course I am' he told himself.

Sasuke pulled away from Hinata and took her hand leading her to where Naruto and Ino sat.

"Have fun?" Naruto asked.

Hinata blushed and nodded. "Sasuke-kun is a really good dancer."

"I bet he is," Naruto said with a wink. Ino elbowed him.

Sasuke sat next to Hinata and put his arm around her. "Invite me to stay over," he whispered in Hinata's ear. She couldn't help but blush at the thought.

Iruka and Shizune soon joined the group at their table. Sasuke could feel his former sensei's eyes on him. He couldn't help but smirked a little. This whole thing was working like a charm. Sasuke decided to whisper more into Hinata's ear causing her to blush. It wasn't until Iruka cleared his throat did Sasuke really know he had him.

Iruka wasn't sure what was going on with himself. For some reason he couldn't stand the fact that Sasuke was all over Hinata. It didn't seem right to him for Hinata to be with Sasuke.

"It's getting pretty late, I think I'm going to head home now," Sasuke said standing up. Hinata looked at him and he gave her a slight nod. She then grabbed his hand. She couldn't fight the blush that appeared on her face. "Would y-you like t-to spend more time with me?"

Everyone at the able was now staring at the pair. For some reason Iruka began to frown and he couldn't understand why.

"Sure, your place or mine?' Sasuke asked as he helped Hinata to her feet.

"Mine p-place is fine," Hinata responded. Sasuke wrapped his arms around Hinata's waist. "See you g-guys later."

"Looks like someone's getting luck~" Naruto sang. "See Ino-chan I told you they'd hit it off."

"Oh hush," Ino said with a small pout.

Shizune smiled. "Well I think the two of them are cute together. You can really tell they like each other."

Iruka just grunted in response and took a sip of his drink. He felt like he needed some fresh air. "If you're ready I could walk you home."

Shizune smiled. "Ok, I have an early shift tomorrow." As Shizune stood up to leave with Iruka she saw Tsunade. Shizune could only sigh. "Iruka-kun, Tsunade-sama is here and apparently drunk," she said motioning to their Hokage dirty dancing with some very young men.

"It's fine Shizune-san, go take care of her. We can meet up later," Iruka said with a small smile.

"You're the sweetest Iruka-kun," Shizune said giving him a quick peck on the lips before going to retrieve the Hokage.

IH….NI

Iruka had made it home a lot quicker than he wanted to. He could only imagine what was going on next door. When he was about to walk up the stairs to his apartment door he spotted Hinata and Sasuke just making to her door. They were carrying small bags and Hinata seemed to be smiling. Iruka sighed. "Yeah I got home way too soon."
