I returned to Earthland, head spinning, heart beating rapidly. I hardly had enough strength to open my eyes, but I somehow managed it. The first thing that caught my eye were the crimson eyes. The second was the jet-black hair that stood out compared against the azure hue of the heavens. The third thing that I noticed wasn't by sight, but rather the warm lap the back of my head rested on.
"Oh, you're awake now?" A voice echoed from the mouth of the mysterious man. He looked about my age, older by a few years maybe?
"Rest a little more, we still have time before they come for you," He continued, stroking my head.
I closed my eyes and asked him in a small voice, "Who are you? Why were you in my dream? What do you want with me?"
"Don't you remember me?" His voice was deep and low, but there was surprise mixed in. Footsteps sounded from a distance. They were quick. "Shit... I gotta go. Take care, Riya..." And with that, he used his palms and caressed my face, before planting a light kiss on my lips, and left, leaving me in the soft grass, stunned.
"Oi! Riya! Where in the heck are ya?!"
There was shouting. It became louder and louder, as it came closer. Finally, footsteps stopped beside my body. I tilted my head towards the feet for the quick glance at who it was. Natsu. Gray and that girl with an overly-sized chest were crouched beside me. Natsu slipped one of his arms under my knees and the other under my back and picked me up.
"Hm... This girl's actually quite light. Light as a feather!" His mouth spread into a grin. I blushed, not knowing the reason myself, and pushed myself into an upright position.
Pulling my hoodie over my head, I questioned him harshly, "What're you guys doing here?"
"To bring you back to the guild of course." He looked at me like it was obvious. It wasn't really - considering they were about to try and knock me out earlier.
"Okay then, how'd I get here?" I said, emphasising on the 'I'.
"That dragon of yours... uh... Acmomodia or somethin' picked you up with his mouth. Knocked you out somehow. Brought you all the way to this side of the island. Like geez, didn't you train your dragon properly?" He grumbled, strolling off in the direction of a ship.
"I didn't do anything," I said after a short moment of awkward silence.
"Hm?" Natsu looked utterly clueless.
"I didn't do anything to your guildmates!" I repeated in a louder, authorative voice.
"Oh. Okay." Natsu replied, still walking, as calm as ever - usually never though.
"You believe me?!" I asked, shocked by the sudden acceptance, considering his intriguing display of... emotions earlier.
"Of course! You're part of our family now, so if we don't start trusting you what are we supposed to do?" He turned his head away, hiding the faint blush on his cheeks.
I leaned into his chest, and muttered, "Baka..."
