"Max what's going on between you and Nick?" JJ asked from her spot on my bed, after breakfast JJ and I had made our way to my room to start getting ready for the outing.

Sighing I responded with, "I don't know JJ we just got here and I don't know what to think, after everything with Alex went down I didn't think I could fall for another rock star." I looked down becoming more interested with my toes then our conversation.

"Max, Alex is gone and it's not your fault he choose what he choose and it killed him but I know he loved you and you loved him and I know for a fact he wouldn't want you to waste your life obsessing over him and his death he would want you to find a new love, plus I like Nick I think he's good for you maybe he'll reteach you how to trust again. At least promise me you'll give him a chance. "

"It's just we've only been here a day and I'm already falling for this guy who has millions of guys throwing themselves at him, I don't know if I can go through with that again, I feel like I'm losing myself like I'm no longer that badass Max everyone knows and loves, but I promise I'll at least give him a chance." I sighed looking up at JJ who looked like she wanted to say something else but the knock at the door brought this really intense conversation to a fault.

"I know girls take a long time to get ready and all but could you guys finish sometime this century we're not getting any younger you now." James called from the other side of the door.

"We'll be right out Iggy!" JJ responded with a giggle, huh I wasn't the only one who was getting in the mix with these boys. Sending JJ a raised eyebrow which she ignored, but she knew she wasn't getting off that easy. But I let it drop and we got ready and made our way downstairs where the boys were waiting. Both Fang and James let out long whistles effectively making JJ and I blush crimson red.

When we reached the last step James went up to JJ and softly pecked her cheek before taking her hand in his and tugging her outside to the waiting car. While I was caught up looking at them I hadn't noticed Fang had moved from where he was leaning against the couch, too right behind me snaking his arms around my waist. Sighing, I leaned back soaking this moment up letting him win this small battle. I could feel his chest vibrate with his laughter as he rested his chin on my head.

"I want a cookie!" I proclaimed wrestling my way out from Fangs arms startling him. Rushing to the kitchen I opened cabinet door after cabinet door in my mad frenzy to find cookies, chocolate chip cookies. But when I came up empty handed I turned in a slow circle resting my eyes on two matching obsidian orbs, "Where are the cookies?" I asked in a deathly low voice.

"We don't have any." Don't have any?! The monstrosity! Taking two quick steps towards Fang I grabbed his hand and half pulled half dragged him out the door and too the truck that was parked. Dyland, JJ, and James where all leaning against the truck.

"Get in get in!" I screeched I opened up the drivers' side door and was about to climb in before two strong muscular arms picked me up and set me on the ground. Turning I sent a glare at Fang who had this bewildered look in his eyes.

"Wooh there Princess what's going on?"

"Cookies." Came my only reply.

I had climbed back into the truck and was waiting impatiently as JJ explained my behavior, I leaned on the horn I mean let's face it they were taking way too long, and I needed my cookies now! Two doors opened and everyone climbed in I was forced to give up my driver's side seat, something 'bout it being too dangerous for me to drive. So while Fang drove I turned into the conversation that JJ, Dylan and James where having about school and life before now. JJ told them how we met and some of our mishaps and bumps along the road. Thankfully leaving out the chapter where Alex made appearance.

+Flash back+

"You're new aren't you?" A boy asked flashing an infectious cheeky grin my way, making my own grin appear.

"That obvious?" I asked looking down at my schedule then back around the unfamiliar hallways of North Haven High.

"Other than that lost puppy look you've got going on not obvious at all." Shaking my head we both laughed.

"Well I'm Alex" He introduced as he stuck out his hand

"Maximum, Max for short." I said placing my hand in his.

"Well Maximum I do believe we will the best of friends." The glint in his eyes told me he wanted more than just the title of friends.

+End flash back+

I was brought back to reality when Fang laid his hand on my knee. Glancing at it I sighed I had promised to give him a chance, but that didn't mean I was going to make it easy on him. Pushing off his hand I crossed my arms and legs and looked out the window. His deep rich laughter reached my ears.

"Can you step on it we've got cookies waiting." I mumbled impatiently.

-Forty minutes later-

"Finally sheesh that took long enough!" I complained when we finally pulled up to a bakery. Before the truck came to a full stop I had jumped out and was making my way towards the front entrance when I heard JJ tell Fang, "Go get her Fang make her work for her cookies." Oh shit I knew I had seconds before Fang made me "pay" for my cookies. I almost made it too, three steps and I would have been safe within the bakery but nooo JJ had to challenge Fang.

Fang had lifted me up into his arms and flipped me around somehow so I was now facing him instead of the bakery, and he had that cheeky smirk placed firmly on his lips, I sent a glare at JJ only to see that she had pulled out one of the smaller video cameras we had packed and was filming us.

"JJ you better put that away right now!" I hollered only to gain a few chuckles from our group. Looking down at Fangs eyes taking note of the mischievous glint in his eyes I asked, "You let me down you hear?"

"Nope I don't think so Princess I think if you want those cookies of yours you'll have to do something." The mischievous glint in his eyes only glowed brighter with very word he spoke.

"And what do you have in mind Mister?" I asked carefully, becoming fully aware that we were being filmed.

Fang got this thoughtful look on his face before he said, "A date and I'll buy you all the cookies you can eat."

"All the cookie I can eat?" I asked innocently

Letting out a deep throaty laugh he nodded, sighing I agreed and we made our way inside. Fang refused to let my hand go-sigh-.
