"Sakura-chan," Konan whispered, tucking a lock of blue hair behind her ear, "There's some really bad news—Pein is sick. On Monday, we didn't see him at school because he didn't feel well, and now, the doctor said his sickness was quite bad. This might mean I wouldn't be able to spend as much time with you as I would have like to."

"Really? That's too bad; I was really hoping to go shopping with you during the weekends," Sakura raised her eyebrows, "To think that the legendary Pein is sick. I always thought he was the type to be off-colour for only a few hours."

The tomboy noticed the sun rise and the horizon turned a maginificent golden-orange. Sakura came to school earlier than usual, before the sun rose, and it never crossed her mind the sunrise at school was as pretty as it was during sunset.

"Like I said, it's pretty bad," Konan's eyebrows drew together in worry and her lips curved into a frown, "The sickness enfeebled him. He couldn't even stand up for so long, if not he'll feel like vomiting. Worst enough," Her eyes were written in disgust, "I have to feed him! Sakura-chan, your mother was a doctor, right? I heard she was the best doctor in the hospital and could cure almost anything."

Sakura scratched her head and stared at the sky, "Um…yeah, she was a great doctor. Why do you ask?"

Konan allowed a rare, silly smile to play on her face, "Well, I was hoping some of your mother's natural healing skills might've passed on to you, so is it okay if I delegate my duties of taking care of Pein to you? It's only one day though—next Sunday. I'll be busy and unable to look after him."

The pink-haired girl refrained herself from laughing. Konan was asking her to take care the legendary and all-fearedPein? The guy who practically every guy in school worships? To think he gave in to the sickness and now he needed somebody to look after him would make him the laughing stock of the school.

Despite feeling reluctant, Sakura sighed, "Fine,I'll do it, Konan-san. But that's only because you've been such a great friend."

"Thank you so much, Sakura-chan! Hopefully he won't bother you much, he could be a real pain in the ass once you know him," Her amber eyes twinkled, but just then, the bell rang, "Oh, it's already time for the prefect meeting. I'll see you later, Sakura-chan."

Sakura waved goodbye with a smile on her face, but as her friend disappeared through the school doors along with other prefects, the tomboy paused.

'Konan-san's a prefect?'Sakura thought to herself in bewilderment. 'No wonder her uniform colour isn't the same as the girls' uniform. Her's is blue, while the girls' uniform is grey.'

She went to the vending machine and inserted money for a drink, and when the drink didn't come out, her eyebrows drew together in frustration. She spammed the button.

"Damn, I just wasted my money!" Sakura cried out in aggravation. She tried and tried but to no avail, so she resorted to kickig the machine as hard as she could, screaming out, "Why won't you work, you stupid machine!"

Immeditaly, a can dropped out from the machine. Despite being a bit stunned for the first few seconds, Sakura's lips parted into a self-satisfied grin. She picked it up and turned around to walk away.

Hwne she lifted her foot to take a step forward, somebody wrapped his arms around her from behind. Sakura was paralyzed by the intimate embrace she was in a hot breath tickled her ear.

"Where are you going, Sakura-chan?You're early to school today," The voice was seductive, sending goosebumps down the Pinkette's spine.

Quite simply, the tomboy stomped on the person's foot. He yelled out in pain and automatically released her from his intimate hold, allowing Sakura to jump a few feet back to study the guy who had violated her in a way.

Her green eyes, filled with scorn, glared when she recognized the boy. She scoffed, "Good morning, Suigetsu-kun.You should know that what you did to me just now could cost you a bloody mouth."

Suigetsu's lips widened into a handsome smirk, "I like how you say my name, Sakura-chan. Anyway, you still haven't answered the question I asked you two days ago. May I know your number?"

"You think you have the chance?" Sakura snickered, "After what you did to me, I don't think I'll ever give you my number."

The pink-haired girl opened the can and gingerly set it to her lips. Subconsciously noticing Suigetsu watched her intently, Sakura drank the water she had earned from her earlier struggle with the vending machine.

She gulped down some water and pulled on a bored expression, saying, "Don't you know I like smart guys? I heard you're in the last class."

"True, but sometimes the stupid ones aren't that bad," Suigetsu's face went neutral, and Sakura watched with silent amusement. He sat down on the bench next to the machine, "I'm sorry if I offended you in any way, Sakura-chan. You're just a very attractive girl."

Sakura stood still, not making any effort to sit next to the handsome troublemaker, despite noticing the empty spot next to him. The Rosette felt a blush creep up to her cheeks as she murmured, "I'm not attractive, alright?"

He smirked slightly, "I'm not lying, Sakura-chan."

Her blush became more visible. In a loss of what to do and feeling too embarrassed to look into his purple eyes, she folded her arms and quickly looked away, "I…err..." Sakura coughed and mentally facepalmed.

'You suck at answering flirts!' Inner Sakura rolled her eyes, 'Do you want me to handle this?'

'No, Inner!'Sakura rolled her eyes at her alter-ego, 'You're not going to embarrass me in front of him. It was worst enough with Kisame two days ago.'

"Have you looked in the mirror lately? You're sexy yourself, you know," Without warning, Inner Sakura took over.

Immediately, the emerald-eyed girl slapped her palm over her mouth, her face turning a deeper shade of red as Inner Sakura laughed at her embarrassment.

Suigetsu blinked, confused, and she couldn't believe her eyes when the white-haired boy flushed red—his jaw dropped in mortification, his cheeks the shade of light red. Sakura stifled a giggle at the severity of his abashed state.

She only flirted with him once, yet he was as red as a tomato! The tomboy would be rolling on the floor laughing now, but she didn't want to humiliate him more.

Walking up to the bench he was sitting on, she put her hands on both of his shoulders and bended down so her face would be on the same level as his.

Suigetsu's blush faded and he stared into Sakura's beautiful, exotic pale-green eyes. His mind lingered on how her weird green eyes and pink hair matched.

"Suigetsu," Her voice as melodious as bells chiming, "I'm not an amenable person who is suscpetible to your cheeky and flirty ways. However, I must admit you have earned my trust and I admire your boldness," Sakura's smile broke into a grin, "So for that, you shall receive your fortune."

He raised his eyebrow, "And what kind of fortune is that?"

Sakura grinned, "My number, of course!"

.

'Youfinallygave thathotguy your number!' Inner Sakura punched the air, beaming with accomplishment, 'Congratulations, girl! You got one boy on your 'most possible boyfriend-to-be' list!'

Sakura rolled her eyes and tossed her empty aluminum can into the recycling bin, 'Sincewhendid I create that list, Inner?'

'But hey, at least you flirted with the guy, right?' Inner Sakura grinned, 'Although it was I who did most of the work, but good job for you, anyway. When are you going to get somebody to kiss you?'

'What?'Sakura screamed, 'I am not going to kiss anyone until I'm older!'

'The temptation has yet to manifest,' Her alter-ego chimed, 'The want will come eventually.'

The tomboy was lazy to argue back with her inner-self and shut her out. The day was bright and school would start in fifty minutes. Sakura retrieved her jacket and grey sling bag from the bench where she left it earlier in the morning and realized Konan was in the distance. Sakura ran to her.

"The meeting's over, huh?" Sakura asked with a smile on her face, "So?"

"Not much to talk about when it comes to a boring prefect meeting," Konan's lips curved into a smile in reply to Sakura's, "Anyway, I was thinking; when's your birthday?"

"My birthday is on 28th of March, my horoscope is Aries," The tomboy informed, ambling around the tree-shaded yard of her school with the blue-haired senior.

Konan winked at her, "I'm on 20th February, Pisces. Did you know that your hororcope is the same as Hidan's?"

"I guess our personalities are alike, then," Sakura remarked, "Do you mind telling me about Hidan, anyway? From the gossiping machines in my class, I heard that he likes to flirt."

Konan rolled her eyes, "Whatever gossiping you hear about that bastard is alwaystrue. He can have up to five girlfriends at a time if he wants and he would turn down confessions harshly."

"What a bastard," Sakura rolled out, "How do girls even fallfor him, anyway? He's not good-looking; he's stupid, foul-mouthed and a heartless pansy."

"Oh, he's good coaxing things and people," The blue-haired girl shook her head, "He tried to wangle a date with me once but failed. I'm not easily fooled, and besides, Pein was glaring at him."

Sakura giggled as she pictured Konan turning down his flirts and Pein glaring at the silver-haired man and releasing a dark and jealous aura.

"You know, you should stay away from that brash, pugnacious man," The blue haired girl admonished, "He likes ogling at women, and did you know he tried flirting with the principle?"—Sakura's jaw dropped—"That got him in trouble. Tsunade-sama's favourite nickname for mischief-makers like him is 'stupid, amoral yob'."

"Let's stop talking about that idiot," Sakura suggested, "What's your favorite color, Konan-san? I like the color red and green."

"I like white and pink," Konan replied with a winsome smile, "You know, Sakura-chan, why not you come over to my house tonight for a sleepover? I bet it would be fun!"

"Sure, I'll be free tonight!" Sakura grinned, "That way, we could have breakfast and ride to school together."

After some silence, Sakura nervously asked, "Um, Konan-sama, do you have any tips on how to handle confessions from people you don't like?"

Konan blinked and her face was written in surprise, "I get those kinds of things all the time. Why do you ask?" Immediately her beautiful yellowish-brown eyes sparkled with excitement, "Did someone confess to you?"

"Um, something like that," The tomboy replied shyly, self-conscious.

Konan straightened her posture and told her, "First of all, you can turn it down politely, either with honesty or with lying."

"What does that mean?"

"For example, honesty means that you could tell the person the characteristics of him that you dislike, or maybe the physical part of him that doesn't interest you. However, I must warn you this could give you the image of being harsh and mean. With lying, you could tell him that you already have a secret boyfriend, or you have a crush on someone else, or is currently seeing someone."

Sakura giggled, "Wow, you're a professional."

She noticed the twinkle in her friend's pretty eyes, and then sighed, "Fine, I'll tell you who, more or less, confessed to me. It was Suigetsu, Sasuke's best friend."

At first, the beautiful senior blinked and fell silent as she tried to remember who that was. At last, Konan smiled, "Oh, I know him. He tried flirting with me once, but my ex-boyfriend scared him away."

Right after she finished her sentence, the school bell rang in indication school had started.

"School's started," Sakura muttered the blatant fact, subconsciously watching the students hurry into school.

The two friends' eyes met. They nodded in a mental goodbye before parting ways.

Sakura's personality change quickly spread throughout the school. Everybody has heard of this but those who have yet to see the Haruno heir in person believe the gossip was merely a rumor. For those who have seen Sakura, they are still processing the information.

The ex-Princess's fans were, of course, stunned by her change. For some reason, her fanclubs have increased, but they don't crowd her anymore. Although still disturbed by the quantity of her fanclubs, she was happy they admired her from a distance instead of drowning her in their larged crowds.

However, Sakura expected her personality change to be accepted differently. She thought her image as a bitch would vanish and she would be accepted into society and would be considered normal. Although she completed her objective, she noticed boys were paying attention to her.

Has her change attracted them in a way? Make them notice her and start to fall for her? Sakura did not know, and was uninterested in thinking about it anymore.

She wasn't fond of the fact she was to spend the next hour in the library. Although she did get good grades and high scores, studying was never her hobby. She only studied when exams were near. However, she had made Neji promise to give her a study date to help her with her grades. The exams weren't for another two months, but Neji's help was valuable.

She pushed the door open and a small bell tinkled. The librarian behind the counter looked up from her laptop to see who had entered. The Pinkette could see the librarian's brown eyes widened with surprise at the sight of Sakura's change.

Sakura examined the library first before she decided to put her bag down. When she saw Neji, calmly seated at one of the tables, she walked over to the grey-eyed boy. He was reading a book which the title wasn't visible to her.

"Hello," She grinned and sat down next to him.

"Haruno, I'm glad—I mean, I'm surprised to see you here," Neji blushed slightly, putting the book away, "I honestly didn't think you'd show up."

"You can call me Sakura-chan," She smiled, ignoring the fact she realized Neji was reading a book on love advice, "You know, I won't miss a study date because grades are important to me, too."

The couple carried on their study date.

The handsome brunette smirked halfway into a subject.

He watched as Sakura read the question—her face turning from confidence to confusion. Her hand started scribbling on the nearby paper, quick dribbles and unreadable words. After a few minutes, she gave up.

Neji put his hand on Sakura's wrist, his lips curving upwards into a smile. He leaned closer to the Rosette as he told her patiently and gently about the subject, pointing out keywords and clues.

The sensation of his hand on hers was undescribable—it filled him with an immense amount of ecstasy and surged excitement throughout his body. Her scent was a faint hint of roses and tickled his nostrils like an aroma from a master's kitchen. With her repeatedly asking him questions, she gave him the chance to enjoy the notes of her melodious voice. It was angelic, beautiful—like a song.

Sadly, she was always concentrated on the book and subject. Not once did her exotice, pale-green orbs stray from the paper on the table, focused with dedication and effort. How he longed for her to stare back into his grey eyes, to be locked in a romantic gaze so he could take in all of her beauty.

He knew Sakura was searching for the man who saved her life the day of the accident. It was just last two weeks. He wondered if Sakura was still heartbroken and stressed over the loss of her family.

Neji remembered. He watched the ordeal with his eyes wide-open, how the car ran into her car and how she was thrown out. Her saviour was tall, well-built, strong and fast. Just like everybody else, nobody saw his face.

"Sakura-chan…" The words slipped out of his mouth. Sakura was so close to him she realized, and Neji's wish was fulfilled as she turned to reply to his murmur.

Her long eyelashes did not block the view of her sparkling emerald eyes looking up at him, "Yes, Neji?"

"Are you…looking for the man who saved you?"

He heard silence from his crush. Her eyes returned to the book and her lips tugged downwards.

Neji panicked on the inside due to the lack of answer.

Finally, Sakura nodded slowly, "Yeah, I am. You know who he is?"

Neji did not answer. The tomboy lost interest and the lovestruck boy sensed her sad aura.

She startled him when she pushed her chair back and got up. "Thank you, Neji," She said without ardence, walking away, "That's enough problem-solving for today. I'll see you later."

"No, wait!" The handsome brunette ejaculated, automatically grasping her forearm to stop her. Sakura, stunned by his impulsive movement, stared at him with eyebrows raised. Re-meeting her beautiful orbs, he lost his confidence and shyly asked, "Would you…err…like to go to the park with me this Saturday?"

Sakura considered for a while, relieving Neji's stress.

"Hmm…I think I could, but we'll see first, though," She grinned, "I don't know if I might have plans or something. I'll confirm on Friday."

Neji nodded with a smile. He watched her walk out of the library. She walked out with posture, with style—the way she lifted her foot of the floor to make her way out of the room was like a steady rhythm.

When she left, he wondered whether he had gone crazy.

'Please accept my invitation, Sakura,'He hoped, 'If you do, I will consider it a date!'

Singing

"Here…we go…again…"

.

..

She was exhausted.

'Oh, what the hell happened until I became this tired?'Sakura thought to herself sleepily as she packed her bag for the sleepover at Konan's house.

Sakura was half-asleep by the time she tramped up to the Akatsuki domain entrance. Heavily, she knocked on the door and was not answered.

Even with hooded eyes, she detected a note stuck to the door.

'To Sakura-chan,

Pein's sickness esclated unexpectedly and its severity drove us to the hospital. Because of this, nobody's in the house right now. Every other Akatsuki member is running personal errands, so you may enter the house and look for my room.

From Konan-san.'

Sakura entered the house and closed the door behind her, observing the home she entered. The room was large and well-furnished with old furniture in an old setting. The walls, painted a placid blue, were adorned with mordern paintings which added a touch of uniqueness to the Victorian-style living room.

On the right of the living room was an open arch, revealing the big dining table inside, with a door connecting to the kitchen. On the left of the living room were several doors and a hallway with a few more doors—which were probably the rooms of the Akatsuki members.

Sakura wobbled into a bedroom. Dumping her bags on the floor, she plopped onto the bed and immeditely dozed off.

She didn't care whose bed it was. She was sotired.

.

The silence in the unoccupied main room was detroyed by the burst of the door. The silver-haired man trudged in, grunting, mumbling and complaining to himself as he shut the door with an equally loud bang. He swept his gaze over the living room and discovered it was deadly quiet.

"I bet all those fucking members are still out doing their shitty errands," Hidan groaned, tired as he had been out since school ended, "I didn't get to eat a thing and I'm fucking tired. Fuck my schedule; it's full of shit."

Hidan kicked his bedroom door open and jumped onto the bed, facing the wall on his right.

"To think that stupid Miss Kurenai gave me some fucking projects," He resumed his complaints, "That'll be a greatway to piss me off andwaste my fucking time. What a whore."

He rolled over to his left with his eyes closed to get more comfartable to go to sleep.

Suddenly a hot breath tickled his nose. Slowly and steadily, he lifted his heavy eyelids, ony to find him nose to nose with another occupant on his bed.

Surprise overwhelmed him but he quickly recovered. The silver-haired man studied the person sharing his bed—this occupant wore a buttoned shirt and jeans.

It took awhile, but when Hidan realized who the person was, his eyes widened, 'Sakura?'

Hidan watched her sleep and he did nothing. She breathed slowly and progressively, looking calm, pure and undisturbed. His lavender eyes, for some reason, were suddenly locked on her stationary state. Hidan subconsciously brushed away a lock of hair and tucked it behind her ear. He didn't remember what colour her eyes were.

'Damn, she's pretty hot for a bastard,'Hidan thought, 'I can't fucking believe I forgot that color of her eyes. What fucking color were they? '

He realized her beauty—that was one thing he can't deny. Hidan moved his face closer to hers until he regained the sensation of her hot breath against his face. She attracted him like a magnet. Desire welled up within him and his hand moved to caress her cheek without his conscience.

What was it about her that he was so interested in? He never felt this feeling when he had those other girls with him.

His lips softly pressed against hers. They were soft and moist, just as he had envisioned when he first saw the pink, puckered lips of hers.

However, their kiss was broken off when his crush's lips parted and a gasp escaped from her mouth. He opened his eyes, finding exotic pale-green eyes staring back at him.

His mind went from admiration of her eyes to the sensation of pain at his jaw as her fist connected with his chin. His hands flew to his jaw and he yelped in pain, rolling off his bed.

Apparently, the tomboy had punched him.

'Man, that bitch can really punch!'He thought with a smirk on his face and turned toward the blushing girl, who realized the events which took place, 'I like this sassy bitch!'

"You bastard!" Sakura exclaimed with a mixed emotion of anger, shock and embarrassment. With her face red, she got off the bed and punched Hidan again, making him spit out a few drops of blood.

He didn't punch her back.

"You know, Sakura-chan,"His voice turned seductive and he licked the blood trickling down his chin, holding the Pinkette's chin. He whispered in her ear, "Your lips are delicious."

He slipped his hand around her waist.

Sakura shoved him away, grabbed her clothes and ran out the room. The door slammed hard, and with a bored face, he sighed, "Man, just when I was starting to have some fun with that damn hot bitch."

His eyes shifted to the wall. He kissed the girl he hated intensely. Where had all that hate gone?

His heart beat fast as the thought of her exquisite blushing came to mind. She was adorable—yes, Hidan thought of her as adorable. Maybe adorable was an understatement; she was irresistable.

'Was that her first kiss?'

Hidan pondered.

'No, it can't be. She's too pretty for that to be true.'

Hidan facepalmed at his confession.

'Damn it! Never thought I'd be saying this, but she really is pretty.'
