Thank you for all the reviews you guys gave and for being patient. Most of the returning readers that read the first draft know that this is a long chapter (and if you're a new reader who hasn't read the first draft, now you know) and still is, but even longer; hey what do you expect from a war story. Pay close attention because the codenames are going to be used so if you forgot the codenames, go to the previous chapters or use context clues to figure it out. Also, I have never been to Toronto so I basically used what I saw on TV, research, or my imagination. If anyone wants to PM me on the way Toronto looks, cool so I get a better idea of it. In addition, this chapter might be the most that will be edited in order to provide more necessary details I failed to add. I also felt that the battle might have been rushed but I'll let you be the judge of that, just please let me know.

Oh, in only one scene in this chapter, relax this is not a spoiler, but in the scene there are different languages being spoken. Again relax, I did provide translations on it but however, the eighth chapter that is still in the process, does contain another different language in which two different characters are talking towards each other. It is a full conversation and I will not provide translations for these reasons: 1) so that the story stays as realistic as possible rather than that idea of "oh how are they speaking this language if they are in a different country or that their ethnicity has a different language," 2) I want the story to have sort of a mystery that the reader should try to find out (Google translate everyone, it's that easy), 3) if the conversation is long and in a different language, I'm not just gonna put a translation under every part of where the character was saying it, it's just a waist of time for you as a reader to skip a few paragraphs to find the translation and for me as a writer to put a translation when I wasted my butt off with putting the original language I wanted in the first place, and 4) I want to include the world into the story, yes some language may not be used in the story but at least I can reach out for a more diverse audience, even if the language pops up at least once. "If you wish to be heard... Listen!" I am also warning you now that this and the eighth chapter will not be the only ones that will have different languages in it, so this is a fair warning for you all. I will promise though that there will be no chapter that will contain the entire chapter in a different language. If I get a translation wrong, please PM me ASAP so I can change it.

I really need some feedback on this one and the last chapter before this because I'm still a bit if'y on it and would like to know what the audience thinks. Other then that, enjoy and Chapter V - Casualties of War will be available soon. ENJOY!

Chapter IV: Riot!

As dawn approached over the horizon, the Renegades were fast asleep from their long journey home, as well as their training. Edd was enjoying his slumber with his lovely Marie lying next to him. Edd was dreaming of past memories he had with his friends and family before the Purge; he can still remember the warm feeling he had when waking up in the morning, eager to see his friends as the new day started. The summer air brought life to his beloved cul-de-sac as the flowers illuminated the scene with beauty. He can still hear the birds chirp, the swing set swinging as the rusted chains created friction against the bar as it swung, and the wind blowing as the playful children of the cul-de-sac went along with their usual routines.

However, his dream was soon interrupted by a dark transition, which made his dream into a nightmare. Edd began seeing his parents being captured by the UWPF and rounded up with the rest of the parents at the center of the cul-de-sac. The scene was all too familiar to Edd.

"Ed-boy, we must make way to Rolf's shelter. It is not safe here," he heard a voice cry out from behind him as his hand was grabbed by the same person who called out to him. He looked up from the hand and saw Rolf as he began pulling Edd towards his backyard. Edd soon turned and faced his parents as he soon heard gunfire after they were out of view from Edd.

The gunfire awoken Edd from his nightmare and he immediately sat up on his cot. Gasping for air, he felt frightened by the dream he had witnessed. He soon began looking around the tent, rubbed his eyes, and gained control of reality again. He looked over at Marie's side of the cot and saw that she was still sleeping.

He turned and sat on the cot and place his hands on his head as they slowly moved up to his hat and down to his face; "It's just a dream… only a dream," Ed whispered to himself. He slowly tried to catch his breath, still petrified by his dream that brought back memories of the dark past he had hoped to shun away from his mind. Apparently, the old ghosts have come back to haunt him.

After a moment of pulling himself together, Edd stood up from the cot and began dressing himself in his combat suit attire. He then walked out of his tent and walked around to the back of the tent, away from sight, and isolated. Behind his tent awaited two small crates. He looked behind him, as well as around him, to check if anyone had seen him and took a seat on one of the crates. Shortly, he sat down, silently thinking to himself. He then took a deep breath, lifted the unoccupied crate next to him, and looked under. There was a small hole under the crate, and in it contained a small container, a silver canteen, and a 40 oz. bottle. Edd took out the canteen, unscrewed the top off, and proceeded to take a drink of the substance that filled the canteen.

He put the canteen away from his mouth and snapped his lips, his face turned into a slight expression of disgust. It's taste… a God-awful taste, I can barely bear it, but at the very least, it numbs me. He sat at the back of the tent for a while as he took more sips of the substance in the canteen little by little. He didn't drink too much of it, only small portions – to avoid the consequence it has.

He took his tenth and final small sip of the canteen, closed it up, and placed it back into the hole. He then proceeded to take out the small container, next to the bottle and the canteen, and placed it in his pocket. He then got up from his seat and walk around his tent. He reentered his tent and while avoiding waking Marie from her slumber, he went to his drawer, just adjacent to the cot Edd and Marie share, and took out his toothbrush, toothpaste, mouthwash, a towel, soap and body wash, a scrub, and some clothes (his usual orange shirt, camouflage pants, and black hat). As he closed the drawer, the sound of the wood slamming slightly against each other caused Marie to awake. "Huh…" Marie moaned as she slowly opens her eyes and begins to move towards the sound of the noise. Edd reacted quickly by silently speed walking towards the exit of the tent. As soon as Marie's head had finally turned towards where the sound had come from, there was nothing there.

Marie then realized that Edd was missing from the cot as she patted it up and down, looking for her spouse. She looked around with her weak, sleepy eyes and whispered out, "Double-D?" There was no answer. Marie returned her head back onto the pillow and turned to where Edd was supposed to be laying. As she looked into the vacant part the cot, Marie leaked a tear from her eye and closed them, trying to return to her sleep.

Back outside, Edd began to walk towards a different part of the camp, where eight wooden-built, outdoor showers (four on the left side standing against the four on the right), and four rows of homebuilt sinks (five in each row). The area was low populated now due to the time of day being in the early morning.

As Edd began to walk towards the sinks, he sees a familiar face coming towards him as the character exits the wooden showers. "Shadow!" he called out. Edd completely turned his head towards the man that had called out his codename as he continued walking; it was Red. Edd continued walking away towards the sinks as Red began to pursuit him from behind. "Comrade, I must thank you again for the hospitality gave by you and your friends. I haven't had such peace since I had left Russia," Red complimented as his new ally.

"I'm glad to know that you are being accommodated well at our camp Red," Edd acknowledged with a slight difference from his usual friendly tone. As he reached the sinks, he placed his towel to a rack next to the open sink and turned on the water. He began drinking some water and mixed it around his mouth.

Red nearby notices Edd's new tone as he began washing out his mouth. He approached him and began questioning him, "Are you okay, Shadow?"

Edd spits out the water he had in his mouth and answered, "Yes, I fine… why you ask?"

Red steps a little forward, "Well, forgive me if I come off rude or such, however by the tone of your voice you're giving, I sense that you are disturbed by something."

Edd looked down into the sink, trying to avoid admitting the fact that he was disturbed, disturbed by the dream he had just recently, disturbed of his new routine he had taken up to avoid the pain inside as he bottles it up. He quickly turned to him and changed his tone to a reassuring one, "I'm fine, there is nothing disturbing me. Thank you for the concern however."

As Red faced Edd, his nostrils picked up a peculiar scent and he immediately recognized it. "Umm… no offense my friend, but your breath is unbearable," Red pointed out.

Edd noticed his mistake of turning towards Red as his breath rid of the scent that was a result of drinking the substance he had drank earlier, and turned back towards the sink. He quickly then took a sip of mouthwash, mixing it around his mouth. Red noticed the quick reaction Edd took and continued to question him, "Shadow, are you doing what I think you're doing?"

Edd again spitted out what was in his mouth and answered back, "No, Red. It's not what you think."

Edd again made another mistake of answering the vague question that he already knew what Red was talking about, Red then said as Edd began brushing his teeth, "Shadow, you don't have to do it like this, there are other ways. I mean its okay to do it here and there but not for these reasons trust me."

Red waited a while before he could get a response from Edd as he was finishing spitting out the last of toothpaste he had in his mouth. He wiped his mouth with the towel he had brought with him and Edd responded, "Well forgive me if I come off rude Red, but I must protest your accusations and must inform you that I am in a well state of mind. I would also prefer that you would please stay away from my business if you don't mind… friend," emphasizing the word "friend," remembering the deal the two had made back in the concentration camp to not consider each other friends until further notice.

Red was a bit offended of the outburst Edd had made to him. Nevertheless, he had no choice but to deal with the host that he had to live with. "Of course, and forgive me if I had offended you. I will respect your business and mind my own." Red then turned and walked away.

Edd stood over the sink he had used and began to think to himself. What am I doing? This is not me, I'm never like this… Oh dear Lord, I just want this all over. Edd turned and began walking towards the outdoor showers and entered inside. Inside, there is a long pathway, as if a walk-in closet, stretching what looks to be eight feet across. The room was separated into two, the first five feet being a changing area, and the remaining three feet being the shower itself. To Edd's left were hooks and a small bench to his right. He locked the door behind him, placed his clothes and towel across the bench, and placed his soap, body wash, and his scrub on the shower floor. He soon began to undress himself and placed his clothes on the hooks. As he hooked his jacket up, he looked inside the pockets and grabbed the container he had brought with him from the hole behind the tent. He opened it and inside were peppermints; he took three from the container, placed them in his mouth, and returns the container in his jacket.

As he jumped in the shower, chewing the peppermint he had in his mouth, he began to continue the thoughts he had outside after his confrontation with Red. If this is what is suppose to be like, if I knew this is how I am supposed to end up, the monster that I have built myself to become, then I should have told Rolf to let me be with my family… dead. I'm here; I have to be strong and fearless for the rest of us, for the world. Yet, am I here? There is a demon inside me and if anyone, especially Marie sees this, how can they live with me, let alone how can I live with myself. I have lost so much as did they, but the burden that fell upon me has rather become a heavy weight to carry. As for these dreams… these horrible reanimations of the past that continues to haunt me and reappear as if it couldn't scare me enough. I fear the worst is coming and the past is rather the beginning to my end.

Across the Atlantic Ocean in Israel, at Hadassah Ein Kerem Hospital, two doctors and a nurse filled a room as a sleeping patient laid in the room. The nurse was checking the patient's IV as the first doctor was writing up a report of the condition of the patient. The second doctor inspected the patient's condition as reported to the first doctor. The doctor would check the patient's eyes by using penlight, breathing, and his response to his questions. The patient would only inhale and exhale as he continues his slumber; the first doctor recorded what had been occurring.

The two doctors discussed over the patient they were watching over as the nurse made a final inspection of the patient's necessary needs and looked the patient's medical sheet. On the sheet where the name section was, read: מארין יורי – Marin Yuri. As she looked down she can seen that the sickened Ambassador has been admitted to the hospital since 4 יוני 2013 or June 4th of 2013 for a coma and has been in the hospital since. She soon signed the paper, confirming of her daily check up with the slumbering Ambassador.

The nurse and the second doctor had removed themselves from the room, knowing that their work was done. They exit into the halls, where two סיירת or Sayarot soldiers guarded the doors outside the Ambassador's room. However, the first doctor stays behind with the patient as he stood over the Ambassador. He reached into his pocket and pulled out a vile of insulin. He looked around him, and just next to the bed, he was able to find a hypodermic needle and began inserting insulin into it. He then pulled out a red and orange bandana that was in his other pocket and wrapped it around the needle and his open hand. As he finished wrapping it up, he closed his hand into a fist, with the back of his hand the color of the bandana and his palm containing the needle.

The doctor once again looked over the Ambassador, giving him a blank stare. His face turns to anger as he lifts his hands up, both holding on to the needle containing insulin, and gives out what seems to be a war cry.

Outside the room, the two soldiers guarding the room hear the cry turns to see the commotion inside the Ambassador's room. They see the doctor inside, already penetrating the Ambassador with the hypodermic needle, releasing the insulin that had entered his system. The guards soon breached the doors and confronted the doctor. "קבל על הקרקע עכשיו!" the soldiers cried in Hebrew, telling the doctor to get on the ground.

The doctor looked over towards the soldiers, and then onto the Ambassador he had just attacked. He suddenly experiences a feeling as if he had just fallen from a tall building, and begins to act disoriented. His sudden blackout brought confusion to his mind and released what he had done. He suddenly felt something on his belt and moved his eyes to the right, realizing he was carrying a pistol. The soldiers continued yelling the same quote, as he again felt disoriented for a moment and reached for his gun. As he reached for his gun and pulled it out to aim at the soldiers, he cried out in Arabic, "!أقاتل بالنسبة لعمرها، لجديد يحمل فقط أسوأ من الرجال" (Translation: I fight for the old, for the new carries the worst of men!)

The officers reacted to the doctor's actions of pulling out the gun and fired upon him. Four bullets entered the man as he fell to the ground. The two soldiers moved forward, one taking the doctor and the other checking the Ambassador. The soldier checked the vitals of the doctor and felt nothing pumping; he was dead. He sees the doctor's right hand and sees the needle that he had penetrated the Ambassador with removes it from his hand. The soldier takes a look at the bandana wrapped around his hand and the needle and notices some writing on it: المتمردات الإسرائيلي الفلسطيني – the Israeli-Palestinian Rebels.

Next to him, his partner checked the Ambassador, crying out to him for an answer or a response, "אדוני שגריר! אדוני שגריר! עזרה, מישהו מקבל רופא בכאן ועכשיו!" He continued crying out his name as he also cried out for a doctor to come and help, but it was already too late, the Ambassador began to flat line.

After fifteen minutes, Edd finishes showering and redresses himself in fresh new clothes he had retrieved back at his tent. After giving a final inspection of himself of his cleanliness, he began to walk toward the dining area of the base after making a quick detour back to his tent to return the container of peppermints to the hole he had hidden behind the tent, and placed his old-worn clothes back into the tent. The dining area had about ten rolls and columns spread out with a serving table stretching across in the front of the tables. At the serving table, Edd surprisingly saw May Kanker setting up breakfast for the camp with the help of her team of cooks. However, Edd soon noticed that the table only consisted of cereal, bowls, and milk rather than the usual dishes she would make. He was then discovered by May, who had seen him in the distance, and was approached by her. "Morning, Double D," she said, while jokingly saluting him.

"Morning May, what are you up so early for? We don't sound the horn for another hour and you usually get up 30 minutes prior to that," questioned Edd.

"I was actually gonna ask you the same thing. I was called by Johnny earlier when he was doing his patrol, and he realized that we are short on food supplies when he went to get a snack. I came to make sure he was not kidding and found out that we are short. I have no choice but to serve Chunky Puffs for today until we have more food. I sent out the scavengers earlier today under Eddy's command and they just gave word to me that they can't find anything and his men are getting hungry, so their turning around. We're gonna have to spread the food out until we get more food."

"Have you checked with Ed to make sure he wasn't sleep walking again?" Edd questioned, knowing Ed's usual habits of randomly sleep walking in the middle of the night stealing everyone's food.

"Yea actually, but the thing is that while you were gone, Sarah and I were able to find a way to make sure he doesn't do it again by placing cleaning items near the frig and he has not been sleep walking since."

"Very well, I send a search party to look for food later. Serve what you can and hope for the best," Edd said as he placed his hand on May's shoulder. He then removed his hand and walked to the table to serve himself cereal. He then walked over to the nearest table in front and began eating.

May soon walked over and sat across from him, "Why are you up so early, and where is Marie?"

"She's still slumbering back at the tent, and I was awoken by a dream I had," Edd replied.

"What happened in the dream?" May asked in concern.

"I don't want to talk about it," Edd once again trying to avoid telling his dark dreams.

"Does Marie know you're awake or even about the dream?"

Edd began to feel a bit impatient by questions in which he was not willing to answer, especially with his early encounter with Red. "No, she is not aware of my dreams or the fact that I am wake. For all I am aware, she is still sleeping."

"Why? Don't you two usually tell each other everything?" May asked as she grew concern of her sister's relationship.

"I don't think she needs to be aware of the dream I recently had and I thought it was best to let Marie sleep," Edd answered, trying to avoid any more uncomfortable questions.

Before May could ask her next question, she was interrupted by a siren that was being heard over the base's intercom, but rather than the usual trumpet, making its usual morning call, it made an eerie sound that indicated an emergency was occurring and to report to the dining area. The camp awoke at the sound the noise and began dressing themselves.

Edd made his way towards the control tent where the emergency alarm would have to have been pulled located next to his tent. On his way over to the tent, Red approached Edd in confusion, "Shadow, what is happening?"

"Red, get armored up and make your way towards the dining hall and ask for Alpha Team. That is my team; you will sit with them until I learn what the emergency is about, I'm placing you under my command. "

"Do you have some idea what is happening?" Red again asked.

"I have no clue of the situation, I didn't pull the signal. It must have been one of the other leaders I introduced you to the other day. Please get ready and make your way into formation."

Red did as told and allowed Edd to resume to making his way towards the command tent. At the tent, he found Lee, Kevin, Sarah with their second in commands Marie, Johnny, Ed, and another being Jigsaw respectively standing at the tent. In the distance, Eddy and his second in command codenamed Link were running up towards the tent. "We heard the alarm and I dismissed my scavenger team to the tables. We came here as fast as we can. What happened?" Eddy said as he was out of breath from the running him and his partner made.

"I don't know myself. Who pulled the alarm?" Edd asked.

"It was me, sorry Double D, but I was watching TV right now and… well… I think you guys should take a look," replied Johnny nervously as he pointed to the control tent.

"Very well, Marie, Link, Jigsaw, Ed, you go round up the others in the dining area and we'll announce what this is all about." The group soon followed Edd's orders while the team leaders followed Johnny into the tent.

"Look what I found!" Johnny said as he turned on the television to find the news reporting an event that had recently occurred.

"Once again we are reporting live in Jerusalem, Israel that the former Ambassador Marin Yuri has passed away tonight as hundreds stand outside the Hadassah Ein Kerem Hospitall where Ambassador Yuri was held giving a candle vigil and prayer for a fallen hero of the world. The Ambassador was in a coma for quite some time until not an hour ago that we have received word that his heart had suddenly failed and doctors were unable to save his life. It was also reported by eye witnesses that he was assassinated by a doctor who is later identified as a rebel of the Order. Although the Ambassador did protest on the actions of President Stiher, it seems that the people he was training for a rebellion is rather betrayed by his own. Nevertheless, the Ambassador's views are what had sparked a movement for peace. Although a rebel himself, a hero to the world he is forever. He is the 77-year-old Israeli Politian who introduced to the world a plan to unite the world and end all wars, which would be now considered New World Order. However, felt unfit to lead the united world, the now-President Stiher took over Yuri's position…"

The group was taken aback by the heartbreaking news of the fallen leader. They stood in silence for a moment until the group began to hear a beep coming from the table behind them. Edd turned around to see the Morse code machine giving off a message. "Go to your teams and prepare them for the announcement, Eddy make everyone aware of the situation at hand, but make it subtle."

"Subtle?" Eddy exclaimed, questioning the orders of Edd.

"Please Eddy just do it," Edd begged.

"Fine," Eddy gave in.

The team left the tent and headed back to the dining table. Meanwhile Edd began decoding the encoding the oncoming message coming from the Morse code machine. "My dear lord, I believe my fears are about to come true."

Eddy stood at the center of the dining area, with a megaphone and began speaking, "Renegades, I'm afraid that Yuri has died today not a few hours ago and the news has begun spreading his death as an assassination." The crowd stood in shock as the news of Yuri's death took a deep toll on the renegades; the crowd filled the air with gasps, whispers, cries, and disbelief. "But… they are saying that rebels like us have killed him and now they plan to come after us, when we two-darn know that we had nothing to do with it and that the NWO are to blame. We must remember the how the old man fought back to what was wrong to make things right again, and now we know that nothing can be right ever again!" Eddy cried out, disobeying Edd's orders of making the speech subtle."Remember what he said my brothers and sisters, 'I fight for the old, for the new carries only the worst of men!'"

Eddy's shoulder was tapped from behind and a fear-filled Edd stood by him. "Eddy I told you to make it subtle so no one gets any ideas on immediate revenge," Edd scolded his friend.

"Sorry Double D but I don't think making things subtle will work 'cause we just lost our leader. You think no one's going to react on vengeance.

"Just give me that megaphone please." Eddy gave his friend the megaphone as Edd began his speech. "Fellow renegades, I have just received a message from Rolf a few minutes ago, and it states, 'Warriors, Rolf has just learned the fall of the Yuri, and my countrymen are enrage of such event to occur. They are to go out and fight the streets, as the son of a Sheppard is off to join his fellow men. Countries of Israel, Germany, Britain, North Korea, India, and the land of Africa are to go fight the streets and fight off the soldier demons that rule this realm. IT IS WAR!' As Rolf has stated the world is now at war and they ask of us to join the revolution. I protest any type of warfare but our survival relies on this. So I ask of you, are you willing to fight for what is now lost?"

With no hesitation, the crowd reacted with a war cry that can be heard throughout the camp. As Edd was filled with a chill going down his body from the cry of war, Eddy regains control of the megaphone and replies to the angry crowd, "No more…no more will we take it. The revolution starts here with this riot. Kill what you can kill, take what you can take, the fall has arrived, and the new begins now." Eddy, disobeying Edd's orders again, begins to chant a word as the crowd chants back the same word, "Fight… fight… fight… Fight… fight… fight… fight… fight… fight…"

With no choice from the growing chant from the crowd, Edd grabbed the microphone from the crowd and spoke out to the overpowering crowd, "THIS IS WAR!" The crowd grew even louder by Edd's declaration of war; Edd soon followed with, "Team leaders, fallout and prepare to enter into the streets of Toronto. We shall take them from there." The team leaders called out for their company and began being armored up and into a transporting vehicle. Edd spoke to his fellow leaders and told them to leave behind about seven members to watch the base; he soon went into his tent with Marie and began to preparing themselves.

"Double D, are you sure you want to go through with this?" Marie asked.

"I don't think we have much of a choice anymore, the camp wishes to engage the enemy in response of the events that have occurred. Eddy already startled up the chanting crowd and if I deny their wish to engage, they will go off on their own to fight the enemy, possibly getting themselves killed."

"Don't you think we should just tell them to hold back for a while, I mean we're going at this too fast?"

"That may be, but like I said they will attack the UWA without thinking, so I consider it best we go together and hope for the best. Plus we can take the army now while we still can to avoid high casualties on our side and use the element of surprise on them to easily take Toronto."

"Are you sure?"

Edd, paused for a moment began questioning himself of the plan he had just thought up to explain to Marie. He soon turned to her and simply replied, "I just hope so for all our sakes."

Marie felt a slight chill go through her as she took in the words Edd had just spoken. I can't believe he's going for this, especially for a plan that may or may not work. It's just not like him to do that type of thinking, Marie thought as she looked into Edd's eyes. She can see the fear from his eyes, knowing something was wrong. She then went towards him and wrapped her arms around him, giving him a hug. Edd was caught off guard of Marie's actions, but responded by pulling her closer to him. "I just want you to know that I'll be there incase anything happens and please promise me we will talk about what's going through your mind when we get the chance."

"I promise," Edd responded as the two shared a small kiss to each other and returned to preparing for battle. As they prepared, Edd pondered on what Marie knows or the possible topic she wishes to discuss. Oh God, am I that obvious? What will she say? Oh, I hope it doesn't go as far I hope it won't.

"I'm sorry to disturb you two but we're ready to go," Red's voice came from their side as he poked his head into the tent.

"We'll be out in a minute, Red. Tell Jigsaw to have the commanders and sub-commanders check everyone out and make sure everyone is ready and armored up." Red left the tent to attend to his command as Edd and Marie resumed to preparing themselves. Edd then saw his journal and decided to take it with him, believing what is occurring should be immediately documented.

The two were ready and exited the tent together. The couple soon approaches the other team leaders with their second in commands next to them. "Who is going to be left behind so I can appoint a commander?"

"Relax Double D, I took care of it. May is going to be left behind with 30 other people, so I place her in charge," Lee answered.

"Very well, let's head out. Make sure we enter the city as silently as possible to make sure we do not ruin the element of surprise. We have to be there within two hours before they receive word of other rioting countries attacking police and army personal."

"No problem," the other team leaders responded. They soon departed to their perspective teams and began heading towards Toronto.

As the Western Hemisphere began hearing the heartbreaking news of Ambassador Yuri's death, a plane was underway of arriving at Toronto Pearson International Airport. UWA soldiers were all lined up in formation at the gate, as the newly appointed general was to arrive. The plane soon made touchdown at the airport and began unloading the passengers. When the final passengers were unloaded, the general made his way towards his men; greeting them with salutes and handshakes. A Captain soon approached him and began speaking to his commander, "General Jaeger, welcome back to Toronto sir."

"Thank you, Captain Tillman. Has word come in yet of the…"

"Yes, it has sir, but only to those who are involved or are awake at the moment," the Captain said, cutting off his general, "and we believe the rebels have also received word of the news as well."

"What makes you say that?" the general asked.

"Your contact called about ten minutes ago when you were on the plane. He called us and said that a militia is on their way here to Toronto to attack the city. He says that it is a retaliation of the Ambassador's death and that the militia has received word themselves that one of their contact's homeland armies is engaging in attacking capital or major cities in retaliation as well, with a few other countries engaging as well," the Captain explained, showing the message the General's contact has sent.

"Has he named the other countries?"

"Germany, Norway, Britain, Israel, India, North Korea, and some African countries are also joining the fight," the Captain had listed.

"Very well, prepare the army to engage the militia. Give warning to the armies in those countries and tell them that a war is about to spark. Also, tell Stiher to go into a bunker near him and hide there until the army clears the militia. Also, make it look as if they have the element of surprise and when they feel comfortable, attack them with all you can."

"Yes, sir." The Captain began to order his man either to prepare the army for battle or to escort General Jaeger. The general made his way into his private car and drove off towards City Hall. As he was passing by, he can see the army preparing cannons and their rifles to use in battle, as well as having a priest preside a final prayer in case they don't make it out alive.

"Brave warriors, should fate find us in battle, may our cause be just. May our leaders have clear vision. May our courage not falter. May we be triumphant an earn victory as we show mercy to our enemies. May our efforts bring lasting peace. May our sacrifice be always appreciated by those we serve. May we return to our loved ones unharmed. Should we be harmed, may our wounds heal. Should we perish in the struggle, may God embrace us and find for us a place in His Kingdom. Amen."

I doubt God has room for us all when this is over, Jaeger thought.

As the Renegades made their way towards Toronto, the leaders were communicating amongst each other through their walkie-talkies as they begin to orchestrate their takeover of the city. Edd, Eddy, and Lee were riding on transporting trucks with their perspective teams riding in the back. Sarah and her team where driving in cars armored with bullet resistant plating on the car and a hole on the roof and sides of it to allow a shooter to fire from atop as well as the side. Kevin rode with his team on bikes and motorcycles with gun holsters and other weapons strapped to them, serving as a Calvary of the attack.

"Ok Double D, what's the plan?" Eddy asked through his walkie-talkie.

"Ok, Kevin's team is large enough to provide any type of reinforcement, so Kevin I need you to create a perimeter around army occupied parts of the city and we will call you to close in as we make our way through. We will also call you in case of any problems we encounter with the army," Edd replied, transmitting his response to all the team leaders.

"Gotcha," Kevin replied, "We'll head off north and start a perimeter there."

"Very well, good luck."

"Alright boys, we're heading north. Let's go!" Kevin cried out to his team as they make a sudden change in direction.

"Eddy and Lee, when we arrive at the city limits, I need you to walk the rest of the way on foot. We need you to clear the buildings as we provide cover for you in the front. In addition, Lee I need you to send your best operatives to serve as sniper shooters and as stealth soldiers to get rid of any unwanted incidents that may cause the operation to fail; and send some men underground in case we need leverage from there," Edd continued with his orders.

"Roger that," Eddy and Lee replied.

"Sarah, your team will have to spread yourselves out, as will I, to provide coverage for Eddy and Lee's team."

"No problem, Double D," answered Sarah.

"Cookies and milk!" cried out Edd in the background.

"Edd, shut it you big lummox," shouted Sarah.

"Very well, everyone is cleared on the orders then. Our target is Toronto City Hall, and from there we will remove the flag of the NWO and return the Canadian flag back into its place."

"Why City Hall?" asked Eddy.

"City Hall is the central government of the city an iconic symbol to the country. If we take the facility, we will show that the country is at a near to being recontrolled by the country's own government. Also, one of our contacts, whom I had a chance to speak with before we left, aware us that a newly appointed general of the army has came to Toronto and according to our source, he may have had a talk with Stiher about Ambassador Yuri's death. We are suspecting of being Ambassador Yuri's executioner."

"My god, we're gonna take a city and a general all in one day, what more can you ask out of this," Eddy said, as he was astonished of the news he had just heard.

"Yes, but it is important that we take him alive for questioning and for leverage. He is not to be harmed. His name is Jaeger, and he is a German militant with a powerful background. He is a smart man so be very careful with him. He should be on the thirteenth floor of the building if I'm not mistaking. Keep your cool out there people, we have to do this right," Edd said to his fellow leaders as they were heading into city limits, "We're about to enter in to the city. Lee and Eddy get off and begin walking, everyone else, begin the approach slowly to avoid the other army to be aware of what's going on. Remember everyone; don't shoot unless you're being shot at. This is not a prison break, rather a battle, and stick with codenames in case the army is able to get a feed off our communications or if we are captured."

At the other end of the walkie-talkie, Lee responded to Edd's command and proceeded with what she had to do. "Alright guys and girls get off the trucks and begin walking. Make sure to spread out as well. We're going to roam the city and take care of business. Marie, Fox, Fire, come here." As the rebels got off the trucks, Marie along with another man codenamed Fox and a girl codenamed Fire approached their leader and listened for orders, "Fox take ten people with you to serve as snipers and begin going up the buildings. Keep an eye out, try to keep clear of anyone but us, so use silencers to keep you hidden. Just like we talked about, don't go any forward until we create a green zone for you guys to go, got it."

"Got it Lee," Fox responded as he began picking out his team to help him.

"Fire, go and get a team, same number, and start reckoning the area for anyone who we don't want bugging us."

"Yes Lee," Fire replied.

"Marie, take a group with you and go underground, see if you can get to City Hall first to turn the tables. Double D thinks he may be on the thirteenth floor so see if he's up there. Look up every once in awhile to see if we're doing good or not. Provide help if you can."

"No prob' Lee," Marie said to her older sister.

Just before Marie was about to take off to get her team ready, Lee reached out to her shoulder to add on to what she also wanted her little sitter to do. "Marie, your man also wants us to capture a general named Jaeger and bring him in. Don't kill him under any circumstances, got it." Marie nodded, "And if you get there before us, place this flag on the flagpole for us to see, so we know if we have taken the city." Marie took the triangular folded Canadian flag that was handed over by Lee and preceded to her duty.

The militia began marching down into the streets of downtown Toronto and air was filled with silence for a moment. They were soon approach by a company of soldiers; the company commander began to speak into a megaphone, "Leave here at once, you are in direct violation of…"

Suddenly the commander was interrupted by a gunfire that echoed throughout the area. Both sides were in shocked at the sound of gunfire as they turned amongst each other, puzzled of which direction it came from. The company commander took no chance, but to cry, "Open fire."

Both armies began to discharge their weapons upon each other. "Tough Nails send out your people, I think we lost the element of surprise. Let's just take advantage of what the moment can offer and strive forward," Edd called out to his walkie-talkie as the hail of gunfire overpowered his voice..

"Got it Shadow, alright people, let's get goin', Q, Fox, Fire, get goin'," said Lee as the rest of the militia begins their fight against the UWA.

Marie grabbed her team and began to make their way into the sewers. Splitting her team into two, they opened the sewer lids nearby and dropped into the sewer lines. Placing on one of Edd's homemade night-vision goggles, the team slowly walked through the stench and rat infested sewers trying to find their way towards City Hall.

"Goddamn it, it smells like hell down here," one of her teammates pointed out.

"Quit you're yapping and whining and let's go," Marie commanded as the team continued to move forward.

Back above, Fire took her group around the hot zone and into a building that shields them from the battle and began climbing to the tenth floor. When they arrived at the designated floor, Fire commanded one of her team members to launch a zip line towards a window across the street. With success, the zip line was able to hold on until the first member got across to tighten the rope better for it to be stable. The members were able to get across the street without detection from below and were in the building.

Back on the ground, Fox divided his team of snipers into groups of two and demanded his group to take a building and clear it. Fox took his partner, Seal, and began climbing up a clock tower that was a few yards away from the crossfire. As they got to where the clock stood, they found a group of soldiers staring down at the battle down below firing at the militia. The two snipers took out their Desert Eagle pistols and fired at the group of men who did not realize their killers were standing behind them. They moved out their bodies into a corner, took position in the shadows, and began to aim at the UWA, "This is Fox speaking: we have clear shots of the enemy and waiting for orders."

"Fire at will and make sure to cover us as well if we can't see them," replied Edd back on the ground. Edd began to deploy his team into battle and began to fire. He grabbed his Scar-L and found Red and Jigsaw nearby, and joined them. "Red, Jigsaw what do we have so far?" he asked as he took cover behind a pillar.

"It looks like we can take this wave with little to no problem if we push hard. I think they believe they can take us 'cause we're kids," Jigsaw replied.

"Never underestimate you're enemy Jigsaw. We have to make a path through there and make room for Rose's team to clear the sides while we advance," Edd said as he pointed towards the center of the battlefield. "We might have to advance through open field as I assume that there is a park on the other side. Red, can you…" Edd was suddenly interrupted by a loud explosion coming from a few yards away. He then began to feel shards of rocks and gravel hitting him as he placed his arm up to provide cover from being hit from the debris. As the smoke begins to clear up, he sees a crater a few feet away from him and sees some of his men lying dead on the ground, body parts scattered around it, and Jigsaw lying on the ground holding his leg. Jigsaw began moaning in pain, trying to hold back his screams. "Jigsaw, are you alright?" Edd asked his friend as he and Red pulled him to cover behind a wall.

"I think I'm good, just a flesh wound. Ah… just give me a minute."

Looking at Jigsaw's wound, Edd turn to his back and cried, "Corpsman!"

Nazz soon came out of a truck with an Uzi in her hand and made her way towards the three men, "What happened?"

"We don't know. We heard an explosion and suddenly…" Edd was once again interrupted by an explosion and screams of pain. All four members looked into the scenery and their eyes began to see smoke and dead bodies around another crater near the first one. "Like that!" Edd pointed out to Nazz. Nazz soon took off the black backpack she was carrying, pulled out her field medical kit, and got to work on Jigsaw while Edd grabbed his talkie and began speaking into it, "Fox can you see who is firing a missile?"

"We just saw three guys adjacent to the where we are, firing RPGs. We just took out one while the others took cover from us. They just got out of hiding and we're adjusting our shots," Fox replied from the clock tower. He turned to Seal, "Alright Seal give it to me."

"I'm estimating about a hundred yards away from our positions. The wind seems to have picked up a bit so adjust the scopes." The two do so of adjusting their scope and Seal continued, "I'll take the one on the right, you can take the one on the left. "

He and Seal took aim at two soldiers aiming at the ground with RPG rocket launchers, inhaled, exhaled, inhaled, and fired. "They are cleared, and by the looks of it the wave is shrinking in numbers."

"Thank you for the assistance, calling Rose, Fire, and Price, come in," Edd soon received responses from all three members in his talkie, "Rose, I need you to fire your way through the wave in front of us. It's a risky move but from what I'm getting, we may be able to break through their lines and move forward. As Rose does that, I need you, Price, to push into the path created by Rose and eliminate the remaining soldiers. Fire, I need you to drop some explosive at the enemy before Rose makes their way through, this can allow the enemy to have confusion of where the explosive are coming from and lose interest of what's in front of them."

Eddy, Fire, and Sarah acknowledged the call and began operating the plan. Fire position her team near an open window that faces the battle from down below, and soon began dropping and detonating explosives. "Alright Rose, you're in the clear," Fire said into the talkie.

Sarah heard the explosions and lined her cars in a triangular form while Eddy's team stood behind and began advancing. "Alright maggots, push as hard as you can!" Sarah called out. Sarah's cars pushed forward, were able to make way into the wave of soldiers, and began to spread themselves out. Eddy's team soon began to take on the army and was able to eliminate some of the remaining soldiers, while the rest began to fall back.

"Shadow, we are in the clear my friend," Eddy said into the talkie.

"Okay everyone, go forward, and beware: we are about to enter into an open field," Edd warned everyone over the talkie. Edd soon turned to Nazz, "How is he?"

"Not good dude. I mean he'll live, but I don't think he should fight any more," Nazz replied.

"I can fight! I just need to keep going!" scolded Jigsaw, trying to stand up properly with his gun in one hand.

"I believe you should rest," suggested Edd.

"No I can fight, alright!"

Knowing Jigsaw has the same stubborn characteristics as Eddy; Edd decided to go against his instincts and decided to allow him to continue on, "I'll let you go as long as you cover yourself real good."

"Deal," Jigsaw replied.

The group advanced forward and began to making their way into a park. In formation, Sarah's group led the militia in the front with the rest of the militia standing by or behind the armored cars. When making their way through the field, the militia's talkies were filled with the sound of Fox's voice, "There's another wave coming, and they brought company with them!"

"What do you see?" asked Edd.

"Armies twice the sizes as the last one and they brought their tanks, retreat back into a safe area!"

"Everybody head back and prepare to engage some tanks!" Edd cried as his army began to fall back into some buildings.

Down below, Marie overheard the commotion of arriving tanks and began to speak to Fox, "Where are they Fox?"

"They're about a few meters near the field, why?" Fox replied.

"How many are there?" Marie continued.

"I'm seeing only five so far, but their spread out about one for every block."

"Shadow, what if my team focuses on two tanks and takes them out with what C4 we have? You can then focus on having Tough Nails use the anti-tank rifle and rocket launchers on the others."

"We have those weapons in our arsenal?" Edd asked Marie, shocked that he wasn't made aware of such an arsenal they have collected in the absence of Shadow.

"Yea, while you were gone, we managed to steal some and saved them for this occasion," Marie explained.

"How many things did you guys…? Oh, never mind. Ok we'll do that. Predator and Tough Nails, did you copy that last message?"

"Copy that we're underway," Lee replied.

"On it like gravy, Shadow," Edd dopily replied.

Ed and Lee ran back to the trucks that were left behind when they were entering the city and retrieve the anti-tank rifle and rocket launchers. They soon arrived back at the building the team was hiding in and ran up to the tenth floor. They soon found Fire and her team waiting to advance forward. "Tough Nails, whatcha doing here?" Fire asked.

"What's it look like, we're having a tea party. Help us out on these rockets." Lee, Ed, and Fire began to load up the guns and took aim at the approaching army, waiting for the tanks to turn around.

Back underground, Marie had her team prepare for the approaching tanks. Like Marie's team, her other team on another sewer line prepared the same way and pulled out a homemade camera that has a similar feature to a wire. The team slipped the wire camera into one of the holes in the sewer lids and viewed what was above ground. Just as Marie suspected, they were ahead of the team and the tanks were about to be above their heads. "Ok team, listen carefully. When you see the tanks above the lids, open the lids and you have about ten seconds to place the C4 under the tank and get back underground. Run forward, continuing our mission and I'll detonate the C4. Got that Pick?" Marie commanded as she spoke to both teams in the sewer in person and on her talkie with the other team leader she had assigned.

"10-4 Q," Pick, the other team commander, responded while a team member prepared to open the lid when on cue.

The tanks were above them and the team proceeded with their plan. They opened the lids, placed the C4, and went back down the sewers. They began to move forward down the sewer, "Is the C4 set?"

"Yes, it's set." The two teams soon began running deeper into the sewer as Marie's set off the C4.

The tanks exploded and killed the occupants inside, and taking the surrounding bystanders as collateral damage. "Fox, did it work?" Marie asked through the talkie.

"I see two tanks dead on their tracks and on fire. Tough Nails and Predator, you are clear to engage," Fox replied.

"Let's go lumpy. Ready… aim… FIRE!" Lee cried.

"My name is Ed!" Ed soon followed, forgetting to use his alias. Lee and Ed fired on the remaining tanks. After a few tries and failures, the tanks were soon destroyed, the Renegades were clear to engage.

"We're in the clear Shadow," Lee said.

Edd cracked a smile on his face and cried to his men, "We're clear let's go."

"Shadow, there's too many of them. If anything, I think they outnumbered us," Red said.

Remembering the number they were up against, Edd soon began to talk on his talkie again, "Kevin I think it's your turn now."

Outside the city limits, Kevin and his cavalry heard the call for assistance and began to start up their motorcycles. "We're on their way give us five minutes and we'll be there."

"Ok, but please hurry; I don't know how long we can hold them."

"No problem," Kevin turned to his fellow riders, "Okay boys, as cliché as this quote may sound, let's ride."

Back in the battlefield, Edd soon turned to his militia and cried out to get his army out of hiding. The militia advanced forward and began to fire their way through. They were able to hold off the UWA until the Renegade's numbers began to shrink. Suddenly in the distance, the sound of motorcycles echoed through the city. Kevin finally arrived with reinforcements.

The UWA soldier's were in confusion of the riders that had come out of nowhere and counterattacked them. Kevin can hear his fellow militiamen cry in joy as the fight continued. "Alright guys, let's take the field," Kevin cried out as the bullets passed him up and the overpowering cry joy that came from the Renegades behind him. The militia soon moved more forward, but the closer they are towards their goal, the more the obstacle the UWA becomes.

Meanwhile back at City Hall, General Jaeger stood by in the mayor's office and stared out into the distance of the window as he viewed the battle continuing. As he looked out at the horrific scene as his men began to die off one by one, Captain Tillman came into the office and stood at attention, waiting for his commanding officer to acknowledge his presence. "Have you seen the battle that has been unfolding? It's an unbelievable sight to see. These rebels must have been trained well."

"Sir, we appear to be losing the battle, the enemy is approaching closer than expected," the captain said as the general continued to look out his window.

"I am aware of the situation. So let them, I highly doubt we'll lose completely."

"Sir, at your orders, we request we retreat and sneak you out of the city immediately."

The general stood in silence, thinking of what to respond to the army's request. Before General Jaeger gave his response to the captain's request, he suddenly heard a blast from below the building.

Outside City Hall, Fire made their way around the army and was able to get near the transporting entrance of the building. She went up to a door and slowly and softly opened it a few centimeters to peak what was on the other side. She can see the lobby filled with groups of soldiers roaming the lobby; far outnumbering then what her team can take. Fire soon found cover in a secluded room to avoid being caught, let alone have a confrontation with the large army personal in the lobby that may begin searching the place she is in, and began to whisper into her talkie, "Q, how far do you think you are by city hall?"

"According to Shadow's map, we should be here. We are about to blow a hole and make our way up to the ground. We're just waiting for my other half of the team to get here," Marie replied as her team stopped to inspect the area above them.

"Ok 'cause we're here, but there are too many soldiers for us to handle here. So if you want we'll wait for you and we can get the general together."

"Ok but we have to do this fast. So be ready move," Marie suggested.

"Roger," Fire replied.

Marie's first and second half of the team arrived at the rendezvous point and began placing C4 on the ceiling of the sewers. As they finished placing the C4, they ran off to take cover from the explosion and exploded the C4. The floor in City Hall collapsed in, and Marie's team began climbing up the hole and began clearing the room they had entered. The area was secured with no sight of soldiers at their location. "Fire, where are you?" Marie said into the talkie.

"We are at the loading docks on the east side inside a janitor's closet," Fire replied.

"Oh… we're right here." Marie's team looked around to find a closet nearby and gain view of the other team. Their attention was soon turned toward a squeaking door that was behind Marie and aimed at where the sound came from. The door slowly opened and Fire was soon seen waving her hand at the other team to signal them not to shot and that they are friendly.

The team quickly greeted each other with their hellos and handshakes and continued with the mission. They gathered by an entrance door that led to the lobby and formed a line behind each other. The twenty members were in position, and Marie then opened the door and signaled the group to enter to the next room. The team, one after another, went through and encountered the UWA's ground control center. For a second, the two groups met eyes with each other before exchanging gunfire. Marie and Fire's team quickly took cover and fired back. After a few minutes of gunfire, the teams seized fire as the remaining UWA retreated out onto the street or into an elevator. "Damn it, they took our only way up to the thirteenth floor. Ok, we have about five minutes or less before those guys call in reinforcements. We're gonna have to split up into twos so we can take both of the wing's stairs. We might have to go through a lot of gunfire but we have no other choice. Just find quick ways to get rid of them and keep going. They should be out of the elevator by the time we reach the third floor, so we'll meet there and take the elevator up," Marie suggested.

"Ok we'll take the east wing and you'll take the west," Fire replied. The two groups agreed with the plan and went their separate ways.

Back outside, Edd and the Renegades were nearly halfway through the battlefield with barely half of their support being disabled or deceased. Kevin's cavalry was able to cause frenzy within the incoming wave of the UWA, however, after a few minutes of confusion, the army regained control and began to fight back; all elements of surprises were lost. The Renegades can only rely on being able to get through the army with all their strength.

As the flying of bullets, gravel, dirt, and grenades continue on, Edd moves in with Jigsaw and Red by his side as they took cover behind some sandbags that were left behind by the previous soldiers who occupied the area.

"Shadow, what we do now!" Jigsaw shouted.

"I don't know, we're losing control of the battlefield and we have lost a large percentage of our men! We might have to retreat back!" Edd replied.

"We can't! We're too close to victory comrade!" Red soon cried out.

Suddenly, Edd heard a frequency coming from his talkie. "Shadow, I just took out a guy not a few yards away from your position. I saw him carrying a laptop and I assume it's a predator missile computer," Fox called out.

"How did you arrive to that conclusion," Edd asked.

"By the looks of it, he seems to be planting a coordinate on the laptop and Seal here sees a drone plane flying up in the sky. It's a wild hunch, but if I'm right, it may be able to give us the upper edge on this fight."

"Very well where is his body?" Edd asked, estranged by the idea that he really wants to know where a body is, out off all thinks he even wishes to look for.

"He is at your ten, and he is about ten to twenty yards away from your position. You may want to hurry though, because I see a few people heading towards it and my snipers and I could barely keep up with protecting anybody. My partner, Seal, and I will try to provide cover for you but you have to be careful."

"Will do!" Edd soon called out to his militia on his talkie to push forward, in order to push the enemy line back and retrieve the laptop. After a few minutes of pushing, the militia was able to gain a few more yards but we're unsuccessful of getting towards the laptop.

Fox and Seal were scoping up and down the field for enemies getting near the laptop. The two snipers were beginning to lose their speed in killing the enemy as more and more soldiers try to reach the laptop. "Damn, Fox, I can barely keep up with these guys," mentioned Seal.

"I Know just keep firing, we need that laptop, be as quick as possible. Even if you miss, you're probably scaring the enemy away," Fox ordered, trying to encourage his partner to stay in the game.

"Okay," Seal answered.

They continued firing for a couple of minutes and suddenly the laptop was cleared from incoming soldiers that were trying to retrieve it for a moment.

"Yea, Shadow the area is open for you to take the laptop," Seal cried with excitement. Seal returned to his sniping and looked down his scope. Then, at the sight of Seal's scope, he saw another sniper already aiming at him and before Seal could react, the sniper had already fired. The bullet soon passed through Seal's scope and into his head, instantly killing him.

Fox felt a splatter of blood touching his face and turned to his right to find Seal penetrated with a bullet. "Shit! Seal!" he cried. He soon pulled back and dragged Seal's body with him. He checked his pulse and felt nothing. He soon shook his body to try to wake him up while trying to hold backs his tears. He stood up, grieving over the loss of his partner and friend, and placed a call to Edd. "Shadow, Seal is dead. He's been shot!" he cried out, still trying to hold back his tears.

"What happened?" Edd asked.

"I think some guy knew where we were and got a good aim at him. Oh my god Seal!"

"Fox, we need you to calm down. I promise you Seal will not have died in vain. Fox, is it possible for you to continue to cover for us?"

"No at least not where I'm at," Fox replied as tears finally began to roll down his eyes. He unclipped his scope from his rifle and looked out from a different position he was at after dragging Seal's body in, "I can still shoot from a new position from where I'm at, but I can only get half of the vantage point I originally had. I also found the guy who might have shot Seal," Fox pointed out as he saw a man with a sniper rifle and another man pointing towards his position, "I think I have been compromised so whatever you gotta do, do it 'cause I gotta get out of here before the UWA sends out a search party for me."

"Okay do what you can we're almost there," Edd replied.

"Alright," said Fox.

On the ground, Edd placed away his talkie and turned to Red and Jigsaw, "Red how fast can you run?"

"Pretty fast, why?" he replied.

"We're going to run towards the laptop and I want you to retrieve it, while Jigsaw and I provide cover for you. Afterwards we head back here."

"No problem," said Red.

Before the team could proceed with their plan, Edd noticed Jigsaw's leg twitching and bleeding badly. His injuries from the explosion at the beginning of the battle caused Edd to question the condition of Jigsaw's leg. "Jigsaw, are you okay?"

"Yea, it's no problem. I'll join you guys right now," Jigsaw replied as he was trying to hold back the pain he was feeling.

"I think you should stay behind and cover us from here."

"No, I can do this, I just…"

"You can't do anything at this moment. Look when we get back, I'm going to have someone bring you to Corpsman, please just cover us from here, for your safety."

Jigsaw nodded his head after taking a few seconds to think of what Edd said to him. Edd and Red soon ran out into the crossfire and finally reached the laptop. They ran back and jumped behind the sandbags again, opening the laptop. To their satisfaction, the laptop happened to be a predator missile computer. However, the computer has shown that there are only five missiles that were prepared to be fired. That's all we need, at least I hope so, Ed thought as he began to coordinate the position of the first missile.

After firing all five missiles, he was able to disable the lines of the UWA and his militia was able to advance towards City Hall. Before advancing, Edd placed a call to Fox, "Fox we're clear to go forth, you may leave your position and take Seal to the trucks."

"That's nice to know but I still see a group of men made up of maybe five coming in to the building. With me carrying Seal down the stairs, I doubt I will react fast enough for them," Fox replied.

"Okay, I send out a group up to help you. Just start making your way down while…" Edd was interrupted by the sound of Jigsaw's voice as he noticed an object right near them.

"Grenade!" Jigsaw grabbed the object and raised his hand up to throw it back towards the direction it came from. However, his actions were soon stopped as he was penetrated by three bullets entering his body, causing his body to fall back while the grenade only traveled a few feet away on the other side of the sandbags where the three members were covering themselves.

"Jigsaw… no!" Edd cried as he soon saw his partner and friend fall dead to the ground.

Red realized the grenade did not travel much of a distance and ran towards Edd to pull him away from the blast radius of the grenade. "Shadow, look out!"

Edd was pushed to the side as the grenade exploded, causing dirt to fly into the air and deafen Edd's ears. Without fully knowing the conditions of his ears, he crawled back towards Jigsaw's body and began to shake it, hoping for a response. Edd soon began to have tears drop from his eye, as he too lost his friend, especially another one of the men he had rescued with Max and Kim the other month. The silence soon faded as he was pulled back by Ed and Eddy who were standing behind him as Red gave cover to them. The sound of explosion and gunfire returned to Edd's ears as he turned to see his friends.

"Shadow, we gotta go! We're almost there," Eddy cried out.

"Yea, we're not safe here!" Ed cried.

Edd soon gained control of himself and grabbed Jigsaw's dog tags as he returned to transmitting his message to Fox while following his friends towards City Hall. "Fox, are you still there?"

"Yea, what happened?" Fox asked.

"I'll explain later. Like I was saying, continue your way down and the team will provide cover when they arrive. Just be careful."

"Okay," Fox replied. He soon grabbed Seal's tags to ensure that if his body was to be left behind, his name is still remembered, and placed his body in a fireman's carry.

Edd had just crossed the park and into the plaza where City Hall was. He soon heard Eddy's voice, "Look!" he cried as he pointed into the sky.

Back in City Hall, Marie and Fire had made their way through the third floor and encountered a few officers standing guard. They were able to kill the soldiers without using extreme measures to get through to the elevators. "Ok, it looks like we can use the elevators now. We're going to have to split up again so we can fit in the elevator. Fire, split your team in half so you and I can meet up at the thirteenth floor," Marie suggested.

"Okay, also, there's a door on the ceiling that leads you to the roof of the elevator. Climb up there and wait for the elevator to stop. When they open, use flash bangs to confuse the soldiers and make your way through," Fire added.

The teams made the agreement and soon made their way into the elevators and onto the roof. When the teams finally reached the thirteenth floor, they throw flash bangs onto both sides of the elevator doors and across from it. When they exploded, the team stabilized the soldiers that were in the hall. The teams soon called the other half of the group and prepared themselves to breach the mayor's office. They immediately opened the door and threw another three flash bangs into the room. The eerie noise caused confusion in the room, allowing the group to enter into the room and kill the last of the remaining guards.

They soon approach three men who were still standing and were behind the mayor's desk. The two men on the side soon pulled their guns and were able to injure one of the rebels in the left shoulder, while Marie and Fire were able to kill them. Marie soon approaches the man standing in the middle and made him sit down on the chair. She then place her hand on his uniform and pulled it forward to see an engraved name tag that read "Jaeger" on it. "We got him guys, we've got him," Marie enthusiastically said as she grinned.

"Do you want me to call it in?" Fire asked.

"Naw, Imma surprise my cutie-pie with this. Is everyone alright?"

"No, Pick is injured," replied one of the team members.

"Damn, Pick, are you okay?" Fire asked as her and Marie kneeled down to see Pick lying on the floor with a bullet hole in his shoulder.

"Yea, it's just a flesh wound," Pick said flippantly.

"Okay you guys stay here and watch him and Pick while my team and I go up to the roof. We got one last business to take care of. "Fire nodded and Marie headed back into the halls and onto the roof.

When she arrived at the roof, Marie saw a large pole standing at the center of the building. She soon went into her bag and grabbed the Canadian flag Lee gave her earlier and began to unfold it as her team provided the help unfolding it and bringing down the NWO flag. They soon began to wrap the rope around the flag's side holes and began to raise the flag into the sky for the world to see; in the process of this, one of her teammate took out lighter, lit up the NWO flag, and threw it over the roof. As the flag soon reach the half waypoint, Marie could hear the crowd from down below cheering as the fighting soon began to cease and soldiers from down below began to surrender. From the moment the flag reached the top of the pole, they knew the battle was won.
