"Uwah!"

"Yui! Are you alright?" Takeru called as Yui was nearly hit it the face with the beach ball... again.

"Yeah i'm good! Don't worry about me!" She called back with a wave, signaling that she was just fine.

"Great-" Takeru went under as he was hit squarely in the face with the ball once again. His lack of attention to the game was surely the cause of this.

"Takeru!" Yui splashed through the water to reach the spot the God of the Sea had disappeared. She looked through the water hoping to catch sight of him. She only stopped when Takeru's distinct laughter caught her attention. He was standing in the water a few yards away. It was like this had happened before, she thought.

The blue haired god swam up to her, still laughing. "Hey you don't need to be so concerned about me. I can handle myself." He said as the last of his chuckles faded. "Besides-" his voice dropped to a whisper. "It's kinda embarrassing." Yui's eyes widened as he rubbed the back of his neck.

What is he talking about?

"I don't want you getting hurt so can you go back to the shore?" Takeru grinned and all Yui could do was nod. She made her way back to the shore with a shocked expression.

He's never said that before... I'm flattered he keeps me from getting hurt but this..!

Yui slid her cover-up over her swimsuit and looked back towards the water. Takeru and the other gods were laughing and having fun together. Her frown was prominent as she made her way over to the food. Baldr had finished and it was laying out, ready for when they decided to halt their aquatic antics and fill their bellies. Yui decided since she had been pretty much banned from the water, she might as well start on eating.

She gathered up food onto her plate from the spread.

Food will cheer me up!

Yui sat down and her stomach growled. She was definitely hungry. Before she could take a single bite of the mouth watering food in front of her, a loud yell halted her.

"WAIT DON'T EAT YET!" Takeru sped from the water to her side in seconds. He snatched up her plate and proceeded to cut everything into tiny pieces and blow on the food. He looked at her and handed back the plate. His smile gave off the impression that he was extremely proud of himself.

Before she could ask why he had done it he butted in.

"You could choke on the food. Or you could burn your tongue." Was his explanation and her smiled again at her and sped away back to the water.

Flabbergasted, and a bit ticked off, She ate in silence. She could barely tell what the food was now and to top it off, it was cold. So much for food making it better. Everyone came up from the water to eat, and though Yui tried to catch Takeru's eye to ask what happened, he never responded. For that matter he never once looked at her. Once the group was packed up and back at the school, she thought she could ask Takeru when he was alone. However he stuck close to His brother and headed back to his dorm with only a quick 'Night Yui' before he departed. Yui's frown grew deeper as she headed to her room. During the way she wondered what had happened to him to act like he did. Their relationship was still young but hopefully this wouldn't affect them.

I hope it was just today he acted like that. If that behavior continues, i'll have to do something about it.
