Okay! New chapter. I know I'm messing up the actual plot of the show, but I'm mixing it a bit to get it to fit in with my story. Sorry if you're upset…

"So, what happened?" Isaac asked as we walked from his cross country meet towards the bus.

"Nothing."

"What do you mean nothing? Something happened. You didn't just sit there silent."

"I don't want to talk about me. I wanna talk about you. How was the meet? You did great out there. How did it feel?" He looked at me, focused.

"Why are you avoiding the question?"

"I'm not avoiding it. Nothing happened. I took him the food and Lydia and Allison came over to get me because you told them I was there." He raised an eyebrow and pursed his lips.

"Allison already told Scott and he told me. So tell me exactly what happened before they got there."

"What are you talking about?"

"Allison said you had both Cora and Derek held against the wall by their throats." Damn you, Allison. Can't ever keep your mouth shut, can you?

"Oh, that. He was proving a point that I wasn't as strong as I should be."

"But he had to tell you to put him down. And he couldn't get free. That's not a lack of strength." I sighed and climbed up onto the bus with him right behind me. The coach agreed to let me ride on the bus with them, since Stiles was allowed on with Scott. Plus, coach just loves me for some reason. I think it's because I can match his sass without effort, yet still be shy and quiet at other times.

"I really don't wanna talk about this, Isaac."

"Well, I do."

"Well, you kinda need me to want to in order to talk about it, so…"

"Must you make everything so complicated?"

"I don't see how me not wanting to talk about something makes me complicated. I just simply don't want to talk about earlier. If it's so important, you should have come. I mean, nothing even happened. It wasn't that serious. It was just a little talking and I got him to eat, then Cora came and started talking a bunch of crap and I reacted. It's nothing really serious. You always try to force me to do what you want me to do, but maybe I don't want to do it, Isaac. I mean, maybe I don't—"

"Calla." I stopped talking, staring out the window. "Did something bad happen?"

"No."

"Calla Lily, if something bad happened, can you please just—"

"I told you nothing happened!" I snapped, turning to him, growling. His eyes widened and he stared at me like he was seeing a monster. I caught my reflection in the rearview mirror and screamed, falling backwards away from Isaac and landed in a chair across from him, panting. My eyes had been the usual violet and I had become a werewolf…but a monster kind. Like the ones in horror movies that walk on two feet and have freakishly long nails and teeth and…just the whole nine yards (think like what Peter Hale looked like the first season). I pulled my legs to my chest and wrapped my arms around them, burying my face in my knees. "I'm sorry…Isaac, I'm so sorry." I heard him moving towards me and shook my head. "No. Don't come near me. I...I don't know what I'll do." He sat down beside me and pulled me, still bunched up in a ball, to him, wrapping his arms around my shoulders.

"It's okay."

"No it's not. What was that?"

"I don't know. But it's okay. Nothing bad happened. You're okay, right?" I shook my head. "What's wrong? Are you hurt?"

"No. There's nothing wrong with me. I…I could have hurt you."

"But you didn't. Look. I'm fine," he said, trying to sound cheery.

"Isaac…I wanted to."

"Wanted to what?"

"I wanted to kill you. Inside, that's all my mind kept screaming for me to do. I felt the rage and power building in me. I wanted to kill you." He froze and I unfolded myself and stood quickly. "I need to get away from here." He caught my wrist as I went running off the bus and pulled me back to him. I tried to get free, but he wrapped his arms around my waist in an iron-like grip and held me to him. "No, Isaac, stop. I don't know what'll happen. You have to let me go. Isaac, let go, please. I can't hurt you. I—" He kissed me forcefully, cutting me off, and I fell right into it. And just like that, everything disappeared around me. Every problem, every fear, every doubt, every inkling of pain, all of it. All that I knew was Isaac. His lips, his hands, his eyes, his body, his smile. That's it. He began moving forwards, me backing up, until my back hit the side of the bus. I laced my fingers into his hair and sighed as he pulled away and went to my neck, panting.

"Isaac…" He pulled away and leaned his forehead against mine.

"The only thing you could do to hurt me is walk away from me," he growled, sounding angry. He looked feral, too. "I'll help you through this. There is nothing you could say or do to make me leave you alone. I'm not going anywhere, do you understand me?" I hesitated, but nodded, a little scared. He kissed me once then pulled away, just as the rest of the team came towards the bus. We climbed up onto the bus and to the very back seats. I was in ultimate heaven. I just kissed Isaac. He just kissed me. And I kissed back. And so did he! I curled up into his side and inhaled his scent, listening to his heartbeat, which matched mine. He was everything I could ever hope for and he was all mine. Everything was perfect. When we got back to the school, surprisingly, Derek was there waiting. Everyone dispersed pretty quickly except me, Isaac, Allison, Lydia and Stiles. Stiles walked over with a smirk, looking at Derek.

"So, Calla, I heard you kicked Derek's ass today." My eyes widened and I gave him a look and Derek glared at him. Stiles scoffed. "Dude, I'm not scared of you anymore. If Calla can kick your ass, then so can I." Stiles reached out his hand and lightly slapped Derek's cheek and Derek immediately grabbed his wrist tight and twisted his arm his. "Oh my god, okay. Got it." Derek let him go and Stiles fell to the ground. I couldn't help but laugh.

"So, any new ideas?" Isaac said after helping up Stiles.

"She's stronger than she should be. There's something different about her." I could see it in Isaac's eyes that he was about to tell about the bus incident. I grabbed his arm and he looked down at me. I gave him a pointed look and he was reluctant, but he kept his mouth shut.

"Can't we just deal with my supernatural issues later? There's gotta be more to deal with than just me," I said.

"There's a lot more to deal with than just you, actually," Derek said, leaning up off of his truck.

"Thank you."

"No, I doubt you'll like this topic. You heard about the hospital shut down after the weather, right?"

"Yeah, everybody did. There was this huge storm." Derek's eyes shifted to Isaac and my eyebrows furrowed as I glanced up at him. "What's going on?"

"You didn't tell her?"

"I was getting to that part," Isaac mumbled, rubbing the back of his neck like he always did when he did something wrong. I narrowed my eyes and looked back and forth between the two.

"You were getting to what part?"

"Oh, the fact that Miss Blake is the one that's been making the sacrifices and we all almost died that night in the hospital because Deucalion was after us and Scott's mom was taken along with my dad, to be the next sacrifices and Scott ended up teaming up with the alphas and now we all just might die…again. Nothing out of the ordinary," Stiles clearly explained.

"Nice explanation. Great sense of detail," Isaac commented sarcastically and I moved away from him.

"At least he's giving an explanation," I growled, glaring at him. He sighed and ran a hand through his hair.

"Calla, please—"

"So, who's the last sacrifice?" I asked, cutting off Isaac's sorry ass apology. I'll deal with him later.

"We don't know."

"The label is guardians. So…we have Scott's mom and Stiles' dad. The only other guardian I can clearly think of would be either Derek or Allison's dad. And since Derek is no longer the alpha—"

"Wait, what? You're not the alpha?" I repeated, looking back and forth between Derek and Lydia, who'd been explaining. "How?"

"He saved Cora. She was dying."

"Dying? When did all of this happen? What the hell?" I yelled. "Why is everything this whole big secret now? Like there isn't enough I have to deal with, now I have surprises popping up left and right?" I turned my glare to Derek. "You did this to me. You changed me for a reason. No matter what the reason was, you can't just back out on your duties now. Alpha or not, you're still my maker. You brought me into this psycho world of fucking supernatural, you need to let me know everything that's going on in it. Just because I'm a little timid sometimes does not mean I can't handle anything. I want to know what's happening around me, especially if you're gonna bring me in later." He eyed me, then nodded once. "That goes for the rest of you, too. I hang out with all of you. I see you all every day and most of you I talk to 24/7. How is it possible that everyone knows what's going on except me? This can't be happening anymore. I'm sick of everyone trying to "protect my virtue". I'm not a baby. I can handle everything you can. Okay?" They all nodded and I sighed. "So what are we gonna do?" Scott walked over out of nowhere and I sighed in relief. "Oh, thank god."

"I have a plan." I hopped up onto Derek's truck and laid back.

"At least somebody does. What's the deal?"

"Allison's dad just gave himself up as a sacrifice." My head snapped up and I eyed him, then Allison, who didn't look at all shocked.

"Seriously? What did we just talk about?"

"I'm sorry." I groaned and laid back on the truck.

"Continue."

"We need to get to Deaton's."

"Why?" Derek asked.

"Not everyone…we're gonna sacrifice ourselves for our parents. It'll help." My eyes widened and we all stared at him, shocked. "Just…just me, Styles, Allison, Lydia and Isaac. Deaton will meet us there." I looked at Isaac and my eyes widened.

"No," I growled, hopping off of the car.

"What?" Scott asked, looking lost. I advanced towards him, claws out and a low growl rumbling in my chest.

"Wait, Calla, relax," Derek said low, stepping over a little to calm me down.

"You won't kill him. You won't take him away from me." Allison stepped in my line and I growled loudly at her, more like a roar. She fell back in shock, her eyes wide as she stared at me. And I noticed just how short she was now. I'm shorter than Allison… oh no.

"Calla?" Allison whispered.

"Oh…my…god…" Styles mumbled, staring up at me in fear, holding Lydia back.

"Calla, I'm not trying to take him from you," Scott said, palms out to calm me down.

"Calla, listen to him. He's not trying to hurt you or Isaac," Allison whispered, having recovered from her shock.

"No. He's lying." Why couldn't I stop? I knew what I was doing, I knew what I was becoming, but I still couldn't stop. It was like I couldn't get my body to do what I wanted. But a part of me wanted to do this. A part of me wanted to kill them. To keep them from Isaac. To rip them apart and hear them scream in agony and beg for mercy. And it scared the hell out of that rational part of my mind.

"Calla?" I froze as Isaac's voice registered in my head. "Calla. Stop it." I looked at him, much taller than him, too. He stared up at me, looking just as afraid of me. "Calla, you have to stop. I'll be fine."

"You don't know that."

"I do. I know for a fact. Calla, this is not going to do anything." I looked back at Scott, then when I turned back to Isaac, I was 10 feet shorter than him again, gazing up at his face. My claws were gone and I know my eyes were back to normal as soon as he smiled.

"Promise me," I demanded in a soft, shaky voice.

"I promise." He wiped a few tears from my face that I hadn't even noticed had fallen.

"Alright…we have to go," Scott said.

"Isaac, you take Calla home. We'll meet you there." I turned to Derek in confusion and shock.

"What?"

"You're going home, Calla."

"No. No, no, no. I am not going to sit around and let you all kill yourselves."

"Calla, you'd do us all a favor if you just stayed safe at home," Derek said, already expecting my reaction.

"No! I can help, Derek. Isaac, tell him—"

"I agree with him," Isaac whispered. My head snapped to him and my mouth hung open.

"What?"

"Calla—"

"No. You're not gonna make me go away."

"Calla, please—"

"NO! Isaac, I will not let you do this alone! I won't go!"

"Calla—"

"Isaac, I'm not going home. Send me home, I'll be right back with you. Right at Deaton's. Right by all of you and I won't leave until we're all safe. You can't just protect me. I'm stubborn and I'm not stupid or incompetent or weak or vulnerable or anything like that. So you can just get it out of your head now because—"

"Dammit, Calla shut up!" Isaac yelled at me, grabbing my arms and shaking me. I obeyed, staring back at him, terrified. He gripped my arms tighter in his hold and I stopped breathing.

"Th…tha…that hurts, Isaac."

"Let her go, Isaac," As if just noticing what he was doing, he let me go immediately, panting.

"Ca…Calla, I'm sorry."

"Get her home, Isaac," Derek said, not phased. I just stared at Isaac and he stared back, both of us speechless. "Go." We composed ourselves enough to walk away to Lydia's car, which is how we were getting me home. I sat in the passenger seat, staring out the windshield with my arms crossed over my chest, making an effort not to look at Isaac and he was doing the same thing, gripping the steering wheel so tight, his knuckles were white and I could hear the crunching sound.

"You're gonna break it."

"What?" he snapped, turning to me. I jumped and moved back against the door, scared.

"The steering wheel. You're…you're going to break it." His eyes ran from my face down to my arms, probably checking for scars. Then there was a loud horn and bright headlights. "ISAAC!" He snapped out of his trance and quickly turned the wheel just in time. We screeched to a halt on the side of the road and I held on to the dash board, panting. "What…what the hell—"

"I'm sorry. Calla, I'm so sorry. I didn't mean to grab you like that and I didn't mean to hurt your arms and I didn't mean to scare you and…and I…I just—"

"Stop. Isaac…Isaac, I'm fine."

"No. No you're not. I never meant to hurt you, Calla, I just snapped and it just happened. I am so sorry."

"Isaac, I'm okay." I looked at him and he turned to me and looked very feral, eyes glowing golden. "Isaac…?" He looked down at my arms again and I hid them in my hands, looking down at my lap. "I said I'm fine, Isaac. You didn't mean it. It's okay."

"Calla Lily…" I looked back up at his still bright golden eyes, then everything flashed and went too fast for comprehension. All I know is that I was straddling his lap and the seat was broken, having been pushed all the way back into the back seats and we were kissing like we would never see each other again. Like our sanities depended on it. And it did. We were frantic and urgent, but still gentle. I lifted up and gasped, shocked and trying to process how this happened.

"Isaac? How did you…I…"

"I'm sorry." I climbed off of him and hid behind my hair. He sat up and started the car before pulling off the side of the road and continuing to my house. When we got there, I noticed the car gone and hurried to be sure Madison wasn't alone.

"Maddie? Madison?" No answer. A bit of a bitter moment. That means I'd be alone and would have a bunch of time to think about Isaac and how he may get killed tonight and how I almost killed him myself earlier and how we just kissed and…wait a minute…I KISSED ISAAC TWICE IN ONE DAY! And I made out with him for the first time! I turned to him and he was standing in the doorway watching me. I moved my hair behind my ear and walked over to him. "They're gone. Probably out with Rebecca's sister."

"You're going to be alone?" I nodded and leaned against the door, tilting my head to rest on the door.

"Yeah, but I'll be okay. You'll be with the alphas, right?"

"Yeah, I guess. Are you sure you don't want me to send someone here?" I shook my head.

"I'll be fine." He eyed me for a while then stepped towards me and pulled me to him into a hug, just simply holding me. I wanted to stay there forever. He moved back after a while and I frowned. He put his hands on either side of my face and kissed my forehead.

"If anything happens—if they come after you—I want you to run. Run to Deaton's. That's where I'll be. Don't stay and try to fight. Just run. If you smell or hear something unusual, run. Please, don't fight."

"Okay. I won't." He smiled and I poked him in the chest. "And you don't get yourself killed out there. Don't itch for a scratch you can't reach. Just be smart. You're not superman, okay? You can't save everyone and everything." He rolled his eyes and grinned.

"Yeah, yeah. I got it, I got it. I'll be careful, mom." I stuck out my tongue and he laughed. Man I wanted to kiss him again. I stretched up on my tiptoes and kissed him before I lost the courage. He fell right into it, smiling a little and snaking his arms around my waist. Wow we're doing a lot of kissing today. I just might be pregnant by next week…. Just kidding. I pulled away and smiled.

"Go get 'em, Tiger." He sighed and kissed my forehead one more time, holding my face and making the peck last.

"Be safe," he mumbled against my head. I nodded and he sighed and let go, stepping back and smirking then, getting into the car and driving away. We were just totally acting like we were an actual couple that were about to go to war and didn't know if the other would be alright. We kinda are, actually. I mean, we act like a couple. We're always together, kissed about 80 times today and we care a lot for one another. People call us a couple now. They include us in the same sentences. And this is kinda a war. I sighed and walked up the steps to my room, but froze. Something was off. My bedroom door was shut and so was my dad's. We never shut our doors. I inhaled and smelled forest. Like dirt and trees. And something else. Something peculiar. I listened for some sound and heard a heartbeat coming from Madison's room. The lights were off in there and the door was cracked. I thought about calling Isaac, but I had no phone. I slowly walked towards the room, completely silent. I exhaled and slammed open the door to find the room completely trashed and hot. The window was broken and shattered glass was scattered on the floor. The heartbeat jumped and sped up, coming from the closet. I narrowed my eyes and slowly walked to the door.

"Madison?"

"Callie?" I opened the door and she was hiding in a clothes basket, peeking out of it at me.

"Maddie, what happened? Where's Rebecca?" She immediately started crying and shook her head. "Sweetie, what happened?" I asked, lifting her from the basket and hugging her, lightly stroking her hair.

"I don't know. I was in my room coloring and Rebecca screamed and I got scared and went in her room and peeked and only saw her on the ground and a big hairy man over her with long claws and ears. I ran into my room and hid in the hamper and heard some smashing outside then a loud crash. I didn't come out." I sat Maddie down and walked towards the door, hearing something from my dad's room. Another heartbeat.

"Maddie, I want you to go back into the closet and don't come out until I tell you to, okay." She nodded, her eyes wide with fear. She ran back into the closet and shut the door. I extended my claws and I knew my eyes were violet now as I walked towards my dad's room slowly. I opened the door and found Rebecca lying on the ground, panting, with a puddle of blood around her. She turned to me and coughed up blood. My eyes widened and I hurried to her and knelt down. "What happened?" I screamed.

"A ma…" Her words faded out and her eyes rolled back. I leaped up and grabbed the phone from the bed and quickly called for an ambulance.

"Maddie! Get yourself dressed and put on a jacket, sweetie!" I heard the closet door open and her start fumbling around getting dressed. The ambulance and police came in 10 minutes tops, unusual, and I was for some reason shocked not to see Sheriff Stilinski. Then I remembered he was taken. Great. And that piled 30 more pounds of weight on my shoulders. They took Rebecca to the hospital and I drove with Maddie in my own car, following behind them myself.

VvV

What the hell is taking so long? We had been sitting in the waiting room for an hour, waiting to get feedback on Rebecca's condition. And another 40 pounds added to my weight when I realized Scott's mother wasn't here either, having also been taken. This is such bullshit. There is a psycho taking people and killing them for sacrifices, a bunch of my friends are out possibly dying, my "boyfriend" is out with them and the alphas are running around fucking with my family. So not the right time. Madison sat next to me, holding her little baby doll, her dirty blonde hair spiraling down past her shoulders and her blue eyes sad.

"Come here, sweetie." She looked up at me and climbed down from her seat and I lifted her up onto my lap and held her to me, rocking her slightly.

"Callie, will Rebecca be okay?"

"Yeah, Maddie. She'll be fine." The doctor walked out then and smiled at us, motioning us over.

"Miss Davis," he said with a nod.

"How is she?"

"She's better. Lost a lot of blood and she's very weak, but she's responding normally and speaking well, breathing on her own and all the works."

"Great. Thank you so much." He nodded then looked down at Maddie and back to me. "Can she get visitors yet?"

"Yep. You can go right on in. We want to keep her a night or two, just to be sure she's truly alright on her own." I nodded and began walking away. "Uh, Miss Davis." I turned back. "I'm just curious to know. How did she get like this?"

"I'm not really sure. Probably just a bar fight or fell or something. We don't have anyone in the house but us, so she must have been out." He nodded, but didn't look too convinced. Oh well. I carried Maddie to Rebecca's room and sat beside Vicky, who sat right beside the bed. Rebecca looked up at me then to Vicky.

"Vick, take Maddie over to the play room for me please." She looked back and forth between Rebecca and me then stood and reached her hand out for Maddie. She willingly went with her and they left, shutting the door behind them. Rebecca motioned for me to sit in the chair previously occupied by Vicky and I complied, crossing my legs, prepared for anything. "You don't have to give me the power look like this is a war. I'm in no condition to do or say anything wrong. Nor do I have the energy to." I raised an eyebrow.

"Is there something you want to say or are you just so pressed to be alone with me?" She sighed and looked up at the ceiling.

"Calla, I know I said and did some horrible things to you since the day I walked into the house, and I do regret it. I'm sorry. Sincerely. And I thank you for what you did for me. After everything, I would have understood if you'd left me there to die."

"You don't deserve to get out that easily," I growled. She looked at me and cocked her head.

"What are you?" I narrowed my eyes.

"What are you talking about?"

"Your eyes change color when you get upset. They turn violet and they start glowing. And the man that attacked me had glowing red eyes. So what are you?"

"Who was the man?"

"I don't know. He was supposed to be taking me out on a date, but—"

"How did he get in the house?"

"I let him in because I wasn't finished getting ready. So I told him to come in and wait. And Maddie was in her room and I was in my room putting on my makeup and he came in and I thought he was just being a little forward, but his eyes started glowing red and he had claws and it all happened so fast. He went into Maddie's room smashing things around. I think he was looking for her. She was hiding I guess, then I heard another crash and silence." I nodded and sat back. Gosh, where is Isaac when I need him?

"Shit."

"Listen, I know—"

"Honestly, I really don't need your sorry ass apologies right now. There is entirely too much going on in my head right now for me to deal with your shit, okay? So save it." I stood and looked out the window.

"Fine. Tell me what you are."

"It's none of your business."

"If you're going to be living in my house—"

"IT'S NOT YOUR FUCKING HOUSE! How many times do I have to tell you that before you get it through your head? You didn't buy it and you don't pay shit on it! That is my dad's house. And don't you ever try that authority shit on me again. You are not my mother. You're not even half the woman my mother was. And you never will be. You can't control me. You'll never be able to. So get over it." I braced myself against the wall and ran a hand through my hair, shaking my head and staring up at the ceiling, trying to fight the tears welling in my eyes. "Oh god, how did my life get so fucked up?" I moved to the door and froze, my hand on the knob, staring at my hand wrapped around the silver handle. "I won't be coming back. Neither will Maddie. Vicky will bring you back to my dad's house. I'm done stressing over the likes of you. So I quit." With that, I opened the door and walked out, going to the kiddie play room. "Vicky, can I talk to you a sec?" She stood and came over to me, leaning against the door.

"How is she?"

"Fine. Do you mind bringing her back when the time comes? Maddie and I…we're not coming back anymore."

"Oh…okay." I looked at Maddie, playing with some blocks and smiled a little. "Come on, Maddie. Time to go home." She ran over to me, grinning happily. I grabbed her hand and waved to Vicky before walking out to our car. I put Maddie in her car seat and got in myself. I turned on the car so the music would play, but didn't move. I glanced at the clock and sighed. It was 2:32 am. I leaned back in my seat and sighed. I wonder if they're okay now. I looked up at the sky and a wave of relief coursed through my body. The lunar eclipse was over, which is a good thing. That means the werewolves had their powers back, a definite good thing for both me and the others. I glanced in the rearview mirror and saw Madison sleeping already. Then a dark figure behind us. I growled and got out of the car, locking the doors. I could get back in. I moved outwards, away from the car and forward towards the figure, which moved to me, too.

"You know, with a pack of alphas hunting you, you shouldn't really be out here alone." That sarcastic voice sounded familiar. Then the streetlamp hit its face and I saw it was Derek's uncle, Peter. I narrowed my eyes and growled, forcing my claws out and getting in my attack stance, ready for him. "Relax, Calla, I'm not here to fight. Just came back to tell you that everything is over. And, well, it's not really an alpha pack anymore. Kali is dead and the twins…I don't know. Deucalion is no longer a factor.

"And do you expect me to believe Derek or Isaac sent you here?"

"No, of course not. Because neither of them sent me. I'm not always a sneaky bastard. I can be trustworthy when I want to be." I rolled my eyes and he motioned to the hospital. "That was an accident. You're stepmother. Beautiful woman, but much too insistent."

"You did that?"

"Not on purpose."

"How the hell do you accidentally nearly kill someone?"

"It's a long story." I shook my head and walked back towards my car.

"One I don't intend to hear. Message delivered. The alphas are done. Boom. Now what's next? Evil demons? Return of Jackson the kanima? Ninjas? Mutant lions, tigers and bears?"

"Now that's just ridiculous," he called.

"You never know with this town," I yelled back, getting in my car and starting it up, driving off and towards my house. I parked and sat back in my seat, closing my eyes and thinking of all the nonsense happening. I opened my eyes and found Isaac leaning against my front door, his arms folded over his chest. And there goes all the nonsense. Gone like that. Because if he's here, that means it's over. I smiled and got out of the car as he walked down the steps, getting Madison out of the car, careful not to wake her up. "Is it really over?" He nodded.

"For now." I opened the door and he walked in ahead of me, but froze and growled. I peeked around him and spotted Deucalion standing in the living room. The difference, though, he could see. Like literally. No more sunglasses, no blind stick, nothing. He could see fine.

"Something strange and unexpected, indeed, but growling isn't polite," he said.

"What are you doing here?"

"Not curious as to how I got in here?" he asked me.

"You're a werewolf. A few seconds ago, I got back into my locked car without damaging it. It doesn't really matter to me how you got in here. What does matter it why you're here."

"Not to fight. Just to make an offer."

"I'm not joining you, Deucalion. Not now, not ever."

"Not my offer. If you'd listen, this would go a lot smoother." I narrowed my eyes and moved from behind Isaac, who was making sure Madison was still asleep. "I believe I have an idea of what is happening to you. When it comes to shifting, you are unstable and vicious. Blood thirsty, no?" I looked up at Isaac, then back to Deucalion.

"How do you know that?" Isaac asked, shifting his position.

"That's not important. What is important, though, is what you can do to gain control over your abilities."

"We don't need nor do we want your help," Isaac said. But I did. I didn't want him to trick us or anything, but I did want to know what was going with me. I looked down and Deucalion smirked.

"That doesn't seem to be the case." Isaac's head snapped and his eyes moved to me. I glanced up at him and he gave me a "what the hell" look.

"Calla?"

"I really want to be able to control it. I almost killed you earlier Isaac. And I don't know when it happens. It just does and unless I look in the mirror or someone tells me, I don't know. It doesn't register. It's dangerous. I need to know what's going on."

"Okay, fine, we'll check with Deaton or Derek or Peter. We'll search through every book and check every website for the answer."

"We don't have that time, Isaac."

"Asking him for help is out of the question, Calla."

"Isaac, you don't get to make those kind of decisions for me." He opened his mouth to argue, but I shook my head. "I need to know." Deucalion smiled and motioned to the chair.

"Do you mind if I sit?"

"Go ahead," I mumbled. Isaac sat on the opposite side of the room beside me, holding a still sleeping Madison in his arms. Deucalion sat down and looked at Madison.

"How old is she?"
