Kaori's Pov

My mother looked at me, and I looked straight back at her.

" Sooo.. We aren't going to see each other in a long time. " She said.

I looked away from her.

"Obviously. " I said.

" I'm gonna miss you... A lot. " She said smiling sadly.

" Oh... Are you? "I said looking at her with no emotion in my eyes.

" Yes, I am." She said sadly.

" hn, good to know. I said.

"Excuse me? " I heard a voice say.

I looked over and saw a girl with short redidsh/ brownish hair and huge brown eyes, she had a bright smile, and standing beside her was a boy with grayish/ silverish hair and lilac eyes, he had a look of disinterest on his face.

"Yes? " I asked.

"We were told there was a new student that we need to help and show around, I'm yuuki cross." She said as she stuck her hand out for me to shake.

I stuck my hand out and we shook hands.

"Nice to meet you yuuki, I'm kaori fujiwara." I said politely.

She elbowed the boy next to her, and he only looked at her with annoyance and he sighed.

"I'm zero. " He said as he walked away.

"Zero stop being so rude! " She yelled. "I'm sorry about him, he's not exactly the social type, but his name is zero kiryu." She said as she looked at me.

"It's alright, I'm not exactly a social person either. " I said smiling at her.

" So, shall we get your stuff to your dorm? " She asked while grabbing one one my suitcases.

"Sure." I said.

I was about to walk away, when my mother ran up and hugged me to death, I felt tears drop on my shoulder, I know I am still angry at her, but I felt my eyes start to water up too, and I hugged her back.

It was emotional for me because I knew I wasn't going to see my mom for years, and even though still angry with her, I'm still going to miss her like crazy.

She let me go and I let her go, she wiped my tears away and kissed my forehead.

"I love you with all my heart babygirl." She said while wiping away her own tears.

" I love you to mom. " I said sadly.

She hugged me one last time before walking back to the car and pulling off without another glance back. Tears were still rolling down my face as I continued to stare after the car until it was out of my sight.

I sighed sadly and turned around to see yuuki and zero standing there, yuuki had a sad smile on her face, and zeros eyes were somewhat sympathetic.

I wiped the rest of my tears away and picked up my other suitcase.

" We can go now. " I said waiting for them to lead the way.

::Later on that day::

After I got settled in my room, which I had to share with zero, in the boys dorm since there were no other girl dorms open, I put on my school uniform, I missed my classes, but when I visited the headmaster he told me that I had to be a prefect, which I was highly upset about after I learned what it wad, so I grabbed my disciplinary committee sash and put it around my arm and I grabbed my retractable sword, which I chose out of the other weapons headmaster Cross had, it's called Apollo, it's an all silver sword that has an engraving of a golden sun on the hilt of the sword and I put it on the band that was around my thigh that holds it.

I ran out of the room, and down the hall to meet yuuki, so we can do our job, she told me it was a hassle trying to hold the fangirls back, but how hard can it be?

I found yuuki and zero waiting for me, I ran up to them out of breath.

" Oh, your here, ok so just follow my lead and you'll get the hang of it in no time." She said smiling at me.

I nodded.

"Ok, let's go." I said as we began to walk over to the fangirls who were trying to climb over the wall.

"Hey you! Get down from there!" Yuuki shouted while running over.

"Oh great, the disciplinary committee here to ruin the fun. " One girl said.

"Yeah yeah yeah, now you girls no you should be in your dorms by now." Yuuki said.

We all heard a creaking sound coming from the gate and the girls began to scram their heads off, and try to push their way past yuuki.

"A little help here kaori!" Yuuki shouted while pushing the fan girls back.

"Oh. Right." I said as I ran over and helped her push them back.

Just then the gate opened up and out came the night class, now I can kind of see why the day class would be so overly obsessed with them, they are beautiful, but they are evil bloodsuckers, and I will forever hate vampires.

As they walked down the path to their class, one of them, a blond boy with blue eyes walked over to us, and he was staring me down, the closer he got, the more the girls pushed, and I eventually fell, I put my hands out to stop my fall, but I felt someone catch me, and when I opened my eyes, it was the blond haired boy.

"Be careful now cutie, you wouldn't want to damage that pretty little face of yours now would you?" He said as he stood me back up.

He grabbed my hand and kissed it.

"Hanabusa Aidou, I don't believe I've had the pleasure of knowing your name." He said charmingly.

I snatched my hand back from him and wiped it off.

"Yeah, and your not going to, now keep walking." I said while glaring at him.

His face was shocked at first, then he started smirking at me.

"Oh, so your a fiesta one... Well, I like feisty, how about we-

"She told you to keep walking Hanabusa, so I suggest you do that." Zero said as he glared at him.

Hanabusa glared back at him, then he turned around and smiled at me.

"It was nice meeting you beautiful, I hope we see more of each other, see you around." He said as he smirked at me and zero and he walked off.

"Stupid cocky bastard." I said under my breath.

"They are gone now, now you girls get to class or you'll regret it." Zero said while glaring at them.

"Ahh he's so scary!" They screamed as they all ran off to their dorms.

"Stupid fangirls screaming for these stupid bloodsuckers, pathetic." Zero said as he walked away.

"Hey, where are you going?! We're supposed to be patrolling the area!" Yuuki screamed after she ran after zero.

I sighed as I realized that I was all alone, I shrugged.

"Might as well get my job done." I said to myself.

I began patrolling the area, looking for any day class students who might be out pass curfew, after searching the whole school ground and not finding anyone, I took a seat on a nearby bench and gazed up at the stars, I began to get a little sleepy, it was definitely late and I was exhausted from this whole day, so I closed my eyes for a little rest.

Kaori had fallen into a deep sleep, and that's how yuuki and zero found her, her head on her hand sleeping.

"Well don't just stand there, pick her up." Yuuki whispered.

Zero resisted the urge to roll his eyes and picked kaori up and they all walked to the dorms and went their separate ways, zero and kaori went to the boys dorm and yuuki you the girls dorm. When zero got to their room, he put kaori in her bed and put the cover over her and he got in his bed and immediately fell asleep.
