A month later, she put her disguise back on and went back to her 'fun'. She knew she had to be back before Vegeta woke up, so she committed what the Z Fighters thought was the worst crime: killing the announcer for the tournaments. She toyed around with everyone after beating Krillin up again, looked at a timer built in to the mask, and decided it was time to go. She said "Goodbye" and teleported back to Capsule Corp, leaving everyone behind, confused. Goku spoke first.

"Who is that?"

Everyone looked at each other, not having an answer. They all went back their separate ways after being healed by Buu. Gohan, however, stayed and tried see any signs of who the criminal could be, and saw none. He went back to his house, and added to his tackboard of clues the sudden change in personality, and continued thinking to himself and writing notes. The villain now went by the name Masked Devil and left calling cards; jokes; and philosophical questions at the scenes of her crimes, but the calling cards had only a joke hotline called 'the Hotline of Stupidity'. After a while, Videl called him out of the room, and Gohan wrote one last note before complying.

"Gohan, you've been in that room more often lately. Is this about that criminal?"

"Yeah, it is. I'm trying to find out who she is so we could track her down when we're ready."

"Did you figure anything out?"

"No, she left no clues except for her mask. I've had to jump to assumptions, and it frustrates me."

"Gohan, why don't you just wait and see? It'll slip at some point, and after that you'll know anyway."

He sighed.

"You're right. I should just wait."

He went back to the room and took down the tackboard and put it in the closet, along with the notes. He didn't just want to throw it away in case he pieced her identity together. He spent the rest of the day with his family, and stopped thinking about the villain. At around noon, they got notifications on their phones about another party Bulma was hosting. They got dressed in slightly fancier outfits and headed out to Capsule Corp.

Back at Capsule Corp, Bulma had an ulterior motive for the party. She had the Dragon Balls in a safe in her lab, and promised a wish to whoever won a tournament she judged. The second wish, however, she'd use to fulfill her end of the bargain to Towa. She recently got an upgrade from Towa that allowed her to freeze time selectively, only targeting specific individuals, and she'd use that to freeze everyone but her and Shenron after the first wish. The plan was nearly perfect.

Everyone got to the party, and after dinner she held the tournament. She had also held up her promise to Vegeta, making him slightly stronger than Goku even with SSJ3. The battles were intense, especially Goku's and Vegeta's. After a long battle that ended with a final strike, Vegeta came out on top by a narrow margin, with Goku being knocked out cold, making him the winner of the tournament. After the tournament, Goku got a Senzu bean and Bulma summoned the great dragon.

Vegeta thought about his wish for a bit, but drew up a blank and gave it to Gohan. Gohan told Shenron his wish.

"Tell me who the Masked Demon is, Shenron!"

Everyone waited expectantly for an answer, but they were shocked and upset at what they got.

"While this is not out of my power, a few deities informed me that the information was not to be told to the public, and was top secret. Since your wish wasn't granted, you still have two wishes."

Everyone was filled with various emotions and asked him about it, but he refused to clarify any further. They eventually gave up, and asked Shenron to bring the announcer back to life. This was granted, and Bulma was about to ask for her wish.

"I wish..."

She then paused time briefly to ask for the Demon Realm's eternal prosperity, and unpaused before Shenron said her wish was granted. They were confused as to what her wish was, but they just figured it was wishing for herself to look younger. The Dragon Balls spread out across the world yet again, and everyone went home but Goten, some confused and some angry.

Bulma sighed and asked Vegeta if he wanted to spar, and he agreed. They went into the gravity chamber, and the two troublemakers saw them enter. They looked at each other, and Goten spoke first.

"Let's see what they're doing!"

"I don't know, Goten, I might get in serious trouble..."

"It'll be fine! We won't get caught...I hope..."

Trunks finally agreed, and they opened the chamber to an odd sight. Bulma and Vegeta were sparring with each other, and Bulma clearly had the upper hand, despite Trunks never seeing Bulma fight before. They were about to leave and talk about it when Bulma noticed them out of the corner of her eye.

"STOP!"

Vegeta complied and looked to where she was looking, and saw the two boys. He froze in his tracks, and they both prepared to make something up. Goten asked first.

"Why are you two fighting?"

"We...uh..."

They both turned around and whispered about what to say, and eventually settled on something that no one could believe but them.

"This is just a hologram of her. See?"

He reached out to touch her stomach, and Bulma morphed her body to accommodate, making it look like Vegeta touched right through her. Goten spoke up.

"Whoa! That's so cool! I want one!"

They sighed, successfully dodging a bullet. The two boys left to play, and they decided to end it early. Bulma had already told him how she really got as strong as she did, and only left out her max power; her true nature; and that she was the Masked Demon, so Vegeta wasn't surprised that Bulma could do what she did. The rest of the day went uneventful.
