Yay! Two chapters in one day! Special treat! Okay, so something I forgot to mention in the first chapter was that my character is German and there ARE some words that are in German. In the first chapter. There are full sentences in German in this chapter and there will be from here on out. ^u^ I'm so happy with myself for finally getting this on here!

I've only got chapter 3 half finished (only been half finished for the last six months) and there's a 50% chance that it won't get done until around Christmas due to the fact that this is my final year of high school and I have to bust my ass for English 12 this first semester. HOWEVER! I will try my very hardest to at least write down a little bit of the latest chapter each night!

Now please accept my gift and feel free to leave a review (KIDDING HAHAHAHAHA YOU HAVE TO LEAVE A REVIEW PLEASE I NEED THEM AND WOULD LOVE THEM SOOOO MUCH EVEN IF YOU'RE A GUEST)

(translations for German will be at the end of the chapter, and anything in German in this fanfic will be in italic)

Words (excluding translation & notes): 745 (sorry for the short chapter!)

Jack stared up at the taller teen, who glared right back down at him. Liaison. The go-between person for the Man in the Moon and the Guardians. He looked more like a modern-day fairy tale figure from a book he'd never heard mothers reading to their children when it was too dark or stormy or cold to go outside. Except he would probably be the villain. He'd heard whispers and rumors about a liaison from other spirits and sprites, though no one had any proof that the liaison had even existed. And now, here he stood, the man himself, looking no older than nineteen years of age, and looking as if he could hand Aster his ass on a silver platter.

A light bump from behind took the fun-loving teen from his thoughts and Summer's soft voice murmured in his ear, "If you keep staring at him, he'll hit you."

When Jack turned, Summer had not moved from Tooth's side, and a tiny frown had dampened the ethereal glow of joy that continuously flowed from her body.

"Jack, walk with me," North said briskly, directing Jack towards an elevator and the two slowly descended out of sight.

As soon as the the thump of the door to North's office downstairs was heard, and Bunnymund had covered Seabreeze's ears with his large paws, nearly hiding her entire head, Summergust faced Gale. "Why do you have to be such an ass all the time?"

She received a 'I could not give two fucks' glance, and she visibly bristled. "Why, you-"

She was interrupted by the chattering of two fairies, who had fluttered in at high speed and halted in front of Tooth. Their words, untranslatable to most, slapped a worried and nearly horrified look on Tooth's face. After a few short words to excuse herself due to a problem, she flitted from the room, fairies in tow, and quickly left North's workshop.

Summergust frowned in confusion, taking Seabreeze from Bunnymund, who hopped to wherever North had taken Jack; most likely his office. Within moments, the three of them were back, and North already looked determined.

"To the sleigh!"

"I'll get there myself; Ich traue alles, was von einem Tier gezogen werden muss," retorted Gale.

"Now, Jack," North started, "you being new Guardian, you need guidance. Someone to show you ropes of what is being allowed and what is not."

Gale made a point of turning his back on the others and headed for the door; he seemed to be limping, favoring his left leg.

"Which is why Gale will be temporary mentor," North said, pointedly turning to look at the liaison.

Gale halted with one foot poised in the air to take another step. He whirled to stare at the Russian Guardian.

"He is not becoming my Lehrjunge," Gale hissed through his teeth.

"You must follow his instructions," the Guardian of Wonder stated, ignoring the furious teen, focusing on the sprite.

"But I'm not a Guardian!"

"Ich weigere mich! Ich werde nicht sein mentor sein!" Gale spat the words, looking furious.

"Is Manny's orders," North turned to Gale as he spoke, one brow cocked.

Silence.

Puzzled by the silence, Summer turned her gaze to Gale and was baffled to find him staring, speechless, at North's words.

"Well, that's new," she said aloud before the thought could even process.

"You...He wouldn't...But I...Du hast mich verarschen! Das ist lächerlich! Das ist empörend!"

Jack prodded the older teen's shoulder with his staff, "what's the matter, Gust; tongue frozen?"

The Guardian of Spirit gripped the end of the staff, ignoring the ice that crawled over his fingers, holding tight when Jack tried to pull it away.

He leaned forward until the Guardian and the spirit's faces were mere centimeters apart. Storm-grey eyes met frost-blue ones as he spoke in a dangerously calm, heavily accented voice, "My name, is Gale. Not Gust. And if you vant to survive my mentoring, you vill obey my every order."

A crack came from the curled end of the staff; the end that was in Gale's crushing grip; Jack wrenched it away as soon as the grey-haired man's grip slackened. Straightening, the quick-tempered liaison uncurled his fist, breaking the ice wrapped around his fingers and wrist. Turning on his heel, he started for the doors, pausing only to glance over his shoulder again. "I'll join you at the Tooth Palace."

And then he was gone, like dust in the wind; as if he had never existed.

End
