Alright, weekly update time. Now I know this is extremely late, but yesterday I was out with family and then our wifi decided to be stupid today!

Also, I appreciate that everyone is very excited to read the next chapter, but please, I ask you to refrain from pointing it out to me, I know that I don't update at a specific time, but it stresses me out when I get a message at noon saying that so-and-so is upset that the chapter isn't out yet. Trust me, I'm just as annoyed too.

Other then that, ya'll are still SO lovely!

Thanks so much!

Disclaimer: Trinity: She only owns me! Thanks so much ya'll

Chapter- Starcrossed pt. 2

Recap:

"Show off," Flash rolled his eyes as he pulled off his own mask. He turned to me,"what about Trinity?"

Bruce glanced at me,"I don't know."

And now:

I sighed and pulled off my sunglasses,"Well. I can actually say I'm surprised. I may look older, but come on- I thought Batman would -at the least -find out," they still looked a little confused, looks like I'll have to tell them," Remember? Lara Kedge?"

"Lara," Wally gasped,"no way!"

I knew what he meant, the others didn't exactly know... This will be fun to deal with. We had gone on a few dates, not to many, plus the constant IMing when... We weren't on duty...Diana gasped,"wait-Lara... I thought you..."

I sighed,"I was a little shocked when you just accepted the whole- no-family-and-no-record- thing. Even more surprised when you didn't dig deeper. But I didn't want you guys to know it was me, so I didn't question it."

John shrugged,"I have to say- we should have seen that coming."

Super- Clark placed his hand on my shoulder,"Well, We're all still glad it's you kid."

Diana nodded, glancing at Wally," You know...Red hair- it suits you."

"You think," Wally asked her, smirking.

Bruce tossed him a shirt, glaring as he went to find his own clothes,Change! Now."

I looked around the racks. I smiled when I found a black skirt. I paired it with a blue shirt, some long stripped socks that were navy with a pair of black converse. I carefully folded my other clothes and placed them in a shield that shrank until it fit into the pendant on a necklace that i had received from Batman just last Christmas.

I walked threw the racks to find Wally all changed,"Hey.. Do you wanna... talk?"

Wally faced me,"Lara I don't really know what to say.. I'm really shocked that such a sweet girl could kick butt."

I giggled,"Oh please that's nothing. So... We're still good?"

"Of course."

"We need to split up," John said as we waited in an alley," They're looking for seven of us not groups."

"What's our randavou point," I asked glancing over my shoulder uneasy.

"We're about thirty miles from Gotham City," Bruce stated,"We can regroup at my house there- but try to keep a low profile."

"Thirty miles through hawk infested territory,"Wally muttered under his breath,"No problem."

I gave his hand a squeeze before I walked with Clark and J'onn. Things were going just fine- until John and Wally got stopped at a train an we're asked to show their Ids,"Um guys," I hissed at John and Clark,"We've got trouble."

"Too many civilians," J'onn stated," If we try to help them someone could get hurt."

Wheels started to turn in my mind. Wally and John kept moving forward in line soon they'd be next! My mind clicked,"Well, our alter-egoes might not be much help. But Clark can."

"What," Clark asked,"How would-"

I pulled a clip board off of a nearby table for some weird fundraising thing (well it was abandoned) and grabbed a camera for J'onn,"Clark do you have a note pad?"

Clark, J'onn and I rushed up to the two Thanagarien soldiers,"Excuse me," Clark called out," Excuse me," they turned to us," Clark Kent of the daily planet, We understand the Thanagariens are doing construction at a restricted location in the gobi desert- can you confirm this?"

I silently prodded Wally and John forward with invisible blasts that I summoned behind them. While, Wally and John boarded the train. J'onn started snapping pictures of the Thansharirns,"Get that contraption away," the soldier shouted.

I smiled as Clark continued his interrogation of the soldiers,"And just how long are you declaring Marshall Law?"

Then the solder shooed us away to which Clark replied,"Can I quote you in that," and we walked off, smiling at each other.

I glanced at the train listings,"Well, we have a few minutes for the next train. But how are we gonna get to the Manor?"

Clark smiled,"Oh, no need to take a train. I'll get us a car, especially because I'm sure neither of you have identification."

I nodded,"Good plan."

We made it to Wayne manor, thankfully, without incident. Clark had driven, J'onn and I pretending to sleep in the back of the car, and Clark smooth talking anything.

I was fidgeting the little VooDoo dolls that I had carried with me everywhere. Even now. I had just never really mention them because most of the time they're hanging on my belt for luck. I fidgeted with them, thinking back to when I had attacked Hawkgirl, and my fist tightened over my Luck Doll. J'onn glanced at me as we entered the mansion's and fell back with me,"Are you alright, Trinity?"

I coughed, releasing my doll as if it burned me,"Uh, yeah. Yeah, I'm fine."

"Are you sure?"

"Yes," I nodded, putting my hands together in front of me and clasping the together,"I'm fine."

J'onn, who I knew was probably calling bull, simply nodded,"Alright, but remember we are all here if you need us. You are still quite young despite your acceleration."

I sighed, glancing at all of the finery within the Wayne Manor,"Thank you, J'onn."

"Anytime."

Bruce, and Diana had already made it to the manor. The butler- Alfred, very nice man- had escorted us in... And into the hidden bat cave. Bruce nodded as we entered,"Now all that's left is Wally and John."

I sighed and gazed around the room, looking at different 'trophies' I guess one could say. Then settled down to sit, and wait. Bruce and the others gathered in a circle, Diana glancing over at me,"Lara, would you like to join us?"

I glanced over at them, J'onn, Clark and Bruce totally engrossed in the conversation they were having,"I... No, thanks."

Diana nodded and turned back to the three men.

I glanced down at my dolls, now fully examining them. Though they had been through plenty of battles, all frayed and dirty. But I couldn't give myself to throw them out. I had only four in total, a green one that held a four leaf clover in his hands to give me luck, a white one that had a black and white outfit seen onto it with a black hat, he was meant to reduce stress and another white one that held a big red heart and had cute eyes, which was meant to bring comfort, should I ever feel alone. But the first one I ever bought- and at a gas station no less- was the purple one that held a fake, but real looking, nail that was to protect me from bullies. I ran my fingers over them as I drifted off into my actions that day. I had almost killed a former teammate, how did I just flip that switch on so fast...

About twenty minutes passed, and I jumped again when the door clicked open and Alfred entered again, announcing himself, John and Wally,"Your guests have arrived, sir."

"You're late," Bruce complained from his comfy arm chair, sitting straighter, as if to reinforce whose term this was.

"Nice to see you, too," John shot back dryly.

Wally saw the trophies immediately on his left and looked like a kid in a candy store,"Hey! That's a giant dinosaur."

"And I thought Batman was the detective," Alfred said nonchalantly as he exited.

"We were just speculating why the thanagarians are really here," J'onn smiled easily, inviting the other two into the conversation.

"Obviously not to protect us," Clark said bitterly, repositioning his wowght as he leaned on no doubt thousands of dollars of equipment. Not that I can judge because I was sitting on it.

"But if the Gordanians aren't actually anywhere near Earth, Why do they need to build that force field," Diana asked, getting the ball rolling.

" If it is a force field," Bruce reminded her.

"Then what is it," John asked him, I leaned forward, hoping he would have an answer.

"I can tell you," I leapt up into the air when I heard her voice, and Hawkgirl entered into the light, exiting the shadows as if they were her true form.

"You've got a lot of nerve, showing up here," Clark growled removing his glasses to become basically Superman in a suit.

"We should thank you," Diana snarled, balling her fists and walking towards Hawkgilr in a threatening manner,"It saves us having to hunt you down."

It was like I couldn't move. A mixture of guilt and shame held me in place, while my distrust, rage and fear, swirled in my stomach like a storm, begging to be released onto the woman before us. I hugged myself, as if I could stop it but the mere action alone, and silently watched.

"I didn't come to fight," Hawkgirl practically sighed, exasperated,"I came to help."

"Hawkpeople all over the planet, Martial law, Us getting chased like dogs," Wally started angrily, J'onn, Clark and Diana forming a line with him. John and Bruce forming another while I hung at the back, like a coward. Wally crossed his arms over his chest and sneered," I don't think we can take much more of your help."

"The situation is worse than you think," she started forward, and walked through everyone as she spoke, causing me to shift my gaze to my feet,"They are building a hyperspace bypass. When it's activated, it'll destroy the planet And everything on it," she pulled something from her pocket and I tensed when she stopped at Bruce,"Here," she handed him a blue and red device,"This has all the information on the project. Believe me. I didn't know the magnitude of Talak's plans."

Bruce wordlessly accepted the plans from her,"We'll check it out. There's the door," then he turned his back on her and went to the computer. The others joining him. All by John.

I felt Hawkgirl's gaze on me, but it sifted away as she asked John,"Aren't you going to turn your back on me, too?"

John's brow furrowed, and he crossed his arms,"Last time I let my guard down, you sucker-punched me."

"It wasn't personal."

"Keep telling yourself that."

God, it was like I was watching my parents fighting.

"I did what I thought was right then," Hawkgirl defended herself, and opened her palm,"And that's what I'm doing now." John took whatever it was, then let her pass him, as if she were going to take off.

John walked away, but I stayed.

Hawkgirl stretched her wings, but looked over her shoulder at me,"Are you going to say anything?"

I looked up at her,"I...I..." I gulped, my throat turning dry,"I just, wish... That things didn't... I'm sorry."

She looked sadly back at me,"Me, too."
