Wanda sat behind the captain, resting her head on his broad shoulders. They were driving on Steve's motorcycle to her apartment, eager to leave. The witch had never ridden on a motorcycle before—and certainly not an antique like the one she now sat upon. She wasn't totally sure if this was Steve's, or if her boyfriend had decided to take a passive-aggressive jab and stole one of Summer's. She really didn't care—though she found it amusing if he had.
No matter. Steve sped down the nearly empty two lane road, passing anyone going under 70. The other drivers probably would have flicked him off, but once the saw the red, white and blue uniform, along with the big shield resting on Wanda's back, they honked their horn in support. The captain, being the man that he was, would then give them a proper salute before racing past.
"You know," he noted after passing probably the seventh or eighth car, "you can wave at them too."
Wanda blushed lightly, a kind shade of pink spreading across her face. "They're not honking at me," she chided, "they're cheering for the star-spangled-man."
Steve chuckled, glancing back at the woman with her rosy cheeks. "Why not be my star-spangled-woman?"
The mutant blinked, silent for a moment as she let his words sink in. Then, ignoring the annoying itch at the back of her head that it was a proposal of some sort, she let out a hearty laugh. "Maybe instead of the Scarlet Witch, I should be the Red Witch, and have Tommy and Billy be—" She stopped suddenly, her mind racing.
Steve slowed the vehicle down, unsure as to why Wanda was no longer speaking.
"Oh no!" she gasped, "I need to tell the boys about us! If they hear from their uncle that we're dating, they'll probably get the wrong idea, and get so mad. I mean, we already have enough trust issues as it is with the whole soul and body swap thing...I need to call them right away. Steve, can you pull over so I can—?"
Before she could even finish, her phone started ringing. The captain quickly pulled over, Wanda unwrapping her arms from around his waist so she could get to her phone.
"Hello?" she answered. Almost no one had her number. It could only be one of the Avengers, or someone in her family. Or maybe…
The other end of the phone echoed with a triad of excited voices all going at once. The boys had called her. Oh great. Speak of the devil, and he shall appear.
"Billy, Tommy, and I'm assuming Teddy, I need you boys to calm down."
"Aw come on, Miss Maximoff—or are you Mrs. Rogers yet?" whined Teddy, Billy's shape shifting fiancé.
"Who told you?" she asked, her voice deadpan. Steve looked at her sympathetically, knowing exactly what was up.
"Uncle Pietro, and then Iron Man," they all replied.
"Please tell me they used appropriate language."
"But you told me not to lie anymore," chimed Tommy. "Oh, uhm, Uncle Pete is planning on getting a sex-tape somehow, by the way. Just to let you know."
Wanda sighed, not exactly pleased with this news. It was annoying that Pietro couldn't keep his mouth shut, and then Tony just had to gossip as well, but a sex tape? Her brother seemed to really be enjoying himself.
"Boys, I will call you later and take you out to dinner sometime and tell you all the details. I love you," she said quickly, hanging up before they could protest. She really did love her sons, and she included Teddy in that grouping, but they could get rather snarky at times. Especially Tommy. He took after his Uncle too much.
Steve remained smiling beside her, his arms resting on the neck of the motorcycle. "Sounds like a certain white-haired brother beat you to it, and included some interesting commentary."
That was one way of saying giving a detailed play by play of the couple's love making sessions. The witch figured she'd let Pietro get away with that one since she kept the relationship a secret for so long, but the sex tape thing was crossing the line.
"I guess it's better than leaving it to their imagination," Wanda said, trying to convince herself.
Steve chuckled. "I guess it's good we're not into anything really kinky, otherwise your family would be having a field day."
Wanda wrapped her arms around his waist, cynically adding, "And they're not already having one?"
This time it was the captain's turn to laugh. "Okay, you've got me there."
"And besides," Wanda whispered into his ear, "How do you know I'm not into anything kinky?"
Turning his head to look at her, Steve swallowed hard. "I think we need to go back to your apartment. Like, right now."
Wanda laughed as Cap quickly got the motorcycle running again and they continued to cruise down the road.
