A couple of things before we start
First off I'd like to thank all you guys who reviewed, favourited or followed the story especially any new guys
and the shadow readers or 'guests' as fanfiction calls them for being brave and reviewing too
Second off as I've probably told I will not be doing ALL the episodes from season 0 or any of the seasons for that matter
I have selected episodes to do either because they're important for later plot and for the canon characters
or because I plainly like that episode and figured out a way for it to involve my character
so here is a list of episode I will definatly be doing and definatly won't be doing
Obviously Episode 1 and 2 season 0
but also episode 5, 6, 10, 13 and 14 basicly the episodes that envolve Shadi, the make up teacher, fortune telling and the Amusement Park date
I definatly will not be doing any episodes that heavily envovle Seto Kaiba or Ryou Bakura which means no death-T or RPG games
I'm sorry if that disappoints anyone but I would prefer to introduce the main rival/villians at the start of season 1
And never fear I will definatly be doing the season 1 equivilant of both those things

What's the Secret (Episode 2)
It's been about a week since the Ushio incident and nothing much else has happened. I've been settling into Domino surprisingly well. Perhaps it's because most of the people I meet are pleasant and welcoming. Notice how I said most.
I also observed how almost if not all the people I meet in Domino speak flawless English. We're in Japan right, shouldn't people be speaking Japanese. Am I the only one that thinks that's strange? Not that I'm complaining. English is my first language after all.
I was born in an English speaking country. Though it's hard to pinpoint which one exactly since we moved around a lot even when I was young. I think it was Australia but I have memories of many different places so I can never be too sure. You'd think by now I'd speak a dozen languages, but no you'd be wrong.
English, Japanese that's it. To be honest I struggle with just those two. I'm lucky I don't fail those classes considering how terrible I am with languages altogether. Language and Math are my two mortal enemies. Luckily for me the torture was over, well for today anyway.
The end of school bell rang out for all to hear; signalling the end of another school day. Joey stretched his arms out while still sitting in his seat "All done, all done~ " he yawned.
"Hey, Yugi, Keiko; where should we go on the way home" Joey asked pointing his thumb at us.
Yugi and I were standing by his desk; bags packed and ready to leave. Now Joey, Tristan, Tea, Miho, Yugi and I were all more acquainted with each other, we were basically friends. Though I do get the sense Tea doesn't like me for some reason. I know these sorta things; I just can't seem to figure out why.
She still acts nice toward me though. Anyway after school we'd usually all hang out together, sometimes we'd go to the arcade or to get afternoon tea. This school is so much nicer than my old school in so many ways. Every day before school, Yugi and I will walk to school together.
My residence was a bit further away than Yugi's to school. And as such, passing by the game shop everyday was the fastest route. Though it seemed every time I pass by the shop Yugi is just coming out the door. I'm starting to think he waits for me to come past every day.
Either that or he has freakishly good timing, not that it matters either way. I haven't seen that 'other' guy lately; the other Yugi I mean. I haven't had any dreams or visions since then as well. I'm not sure if he has a name or anything yet, so I'm not exactly sure what to call him.
But I'm starting to think I was just imagining things. Or I was having a vision and didn't realise it, but that hasn't happened like ever. I haven't mentioned this to anyone, I guess I'm afraid if I do they'll think I'm crazy. Yugi doesn't seem aware of this other presence within him.
If I were to tell him it could have negative repercussion for me or worse for Yugi. And I know if I was the one to hear myself say these things, I'd probably think that I was crazy too. Anyhow thinking about it only gives me a headache.
"Okay let's go to the newly opened Burger World" Yugi suggested happily breaking me out of my thoughts.
"Oh yeah! I've heard of that place, the food is supposed to be quite good" I recalled.
"Wait a minute you guys." Tristan interrupted.
"What is it? One who failed to become first year student president, instead becoming a janitor, Tristan" Joey asked whilst insulting him.
"Not Janitor, beautification club member!" Tristan insisted.
"You know stopping on the way home is against school rules".
"Who cares, rules are made to be broken and it's only a crime if you get caught" I brushed him off winking at Yugi who smiled in return.
"But-" "I want to check out burger World too" Miho declared.
"Let's go" Tristan decided obviously his infatuation for Miho overrides his loyalty to school rules.
"Ah hold on everyone, did you say Burger World?" Tea asked looking strained.
"You want to come too, right Tea?" Yugi determined.
"You can't be serious; I heard that restaurant's food was terrible!" She stressed out.
"It's true, I heard people became sick after eating the food on grand opening day".
'Wow someone really doesn't want to go there, wonder why'?
"You definitely should not go; anyway didn't teacher say that a criminal broke out of prison?" Tea reminded us, at least that part was true.
"Ah that's right! A big criminal too, the whole town is in a panic!" Miho added fearfully.
"What the heck, are you scared? You've got no guts." Joey said rocking back on his chair.
"What would a criminal want with a bunch of schoolkids anyway?" I strengthened our argument.
"But I heard he had a gun." Miho stated worriedly as Tea walked out the door.
For someone so worried about a criminal, she sure is fine with being on her own. 'There must be a reason she doesn't want us to go to burger world', my curiosity kicked in. I had to mental scold myself; 'It's none of my business whatever she may be doing'.
"But you know… hasn't Tea been acting weird lately" Joey asked in a hushed voice.
"Yeah, it's been a while since we walked home together" Yugi thought aloud.
"Could it be, Tea is doing… dating for pay?" Joey wondered a hand on his chin. Yugi looked horrified at the very idea.
"WHAT?! Like Tea would do something like that! Why would she need money in the first place?!" I slashed the theory in a scolding tone.
"Yeah our school doesn't have people like that" Tristan agreed. "That's right" Yugi replied adamantly.
Joey got a sleazy look on his face "Why so upset? Your face is all red, Yugi. Could you be-".
"Nooooo that's not it" Yugi insisted getting more upset.
Thump I whacked the back of Joey's head with my book bag. "Ouch!" he wailed holding his head and glaring at me.
"That's enough out of you" I glared right back at him.
I crossed my arms "Tea would not do something like that and you know it, so stop saying things like that" and like that the argument was closed.
Once I had dealt with it. I noticed that Miho was now gone also, curiosity is just too great for some to handle I suppose.
-The Next Day After School-
"It's so hard that I can't even clear the first level" Joey exclaimed enthusiastically.
He was telling us about a new game that had been brought in at the arcade, which seemed relatively simple to me. "Maybe that's just because you aren't very good at it" I suggested cheekily.
"Oh yeah, then why don't you try it and see how far you get." Joey challenged curling his fist angrily.
"You're on, I bet I get twice as far as you if not more" I anticipated crossing my arm and lifting my head arrogantly.
"Let's all have a go" Yugi decided cheerfully.
"Sounds fun! Miho wants to go too!" Miho cried excited.
Tea's head bobbed up hearing this. "Miho" she called to her friend giving her some kind of secret look, which intrigued me greatly.
"Ah, that's right… sorry, but I can't today" Miho told us regretfully.
"We're going to be pretty busy for a while, so don't tempt us, so let's go Miho" Tea explained leaving the classroom.
"Bye" Miho waves running out after Tea.
"Wait Miho!" Tristan calls after her but she was already gone.
Joey leaned on his hand thoughtfully "So Miho has become a fellow date for hire, what a horrible world it is becoming".
"It's only as horrible as you make it out to be." I rebuked glaring at him and wagging my book bag threateningly.
"Miho would never do something like that, take it back bastard!" Tristan fumed.
"Yeah that's pretty rude Joey" Yugi scolded looking angry.
"You guys are being naïve, didn't you know" Joey said looking serious "Which lunch food did you think Tea bought today".
"It's the top level stamina food, can you believe it?" He cried balling a fist.
"The one we've never eaten before, in other words she must have money." he exclaimed.
This time Tristan rushed off after Tea and Miho, I'm sure he'll be in on it soon too. "That doesn't prove anything, besides I always buy that one." I confessed waving him off.
"WHAT! And you didn't share it with us!" Joey yelled almost shaking the roof with his loud cry.
"Well I didn't know you were this desperate for it." I shrugged.
"That's okay it's your lunch anyway" Yugi approved sweat dropping at Joey and smiling at the same time.
"But I want some…." Joey mumbled slumping in his chair.
-The Next Day-
"Done" Joey cried stretching "Hey Tristan, been a while since we played basketball".
"Sorry, I'm kind of busy today, Hey let's go Miho" Tristan turned down Joey's offer.
I opened the door to the classroom after returning from the principal's office. Seems that teacher isn't enjoying my disregard for 'regulation school uniform', and complained to the principle. I gave him the same story I told the office lady and he seemed to understand.
In fact he doesn't really mind me wearing a blue blazer. That lady has him wrapped around her finger, he's so whipped. She won't stop until I'm straight jacketed in one of those pink blazers. I'll probably have to forge a note from my parents to stop that from happening and shut her up once and for all.
Perhaps something about being allergic to pink, but it'll have to sound smarter than that. Maybe the dye that makes the blazer pink, that could work. As I was contemplating this I bumped into Tea as I walked through the door.
"Oops sorry Tea, wasn't looking where I was going" I apologised bowing my head to her shortly.
"That's okay I was just leaving." she smiled running to catch up with Tristan and Miho.
Now the three of them are all in cahoots. 'What could they possibly be doing they aren't willing to share with the rest of us'?
I could hear Joey and Yugi having a conversation in the classroom about Tristan also dating for pay. I found this notion even more ridiculous than the thought of Tea and Miho dating for pay. If that was in fact what was going on Tristan would be more likely the one paying Miho to date him.
As I watched the fleeting figures of the trio, I failed to notice Joey's and Yugi's voices becoming softer and softer. Only when my vision began to tunnel did I realise what was happening. Now that it's started there's nothing I can do to stop it until it's finished.
All I can do is hope no one notices my immobilised form as my vision turns completely black. It only stays that way momentarily however until I see Tea's terrified form. She's being held hostage by a man, a gun pointed at her head.
"Tea" I ask surprised only to have the man point the gun at me.
"Stay back or you're gonna get it" the man warns me gruffly.
I stared down the barrel of that gun until all my senses melted away and I was once again standing in the doorway of my classroom. "So what should we do?" Yugi asked looking at Joey who was in serious thought.
Joey snapped him fingers "We'll follow them, eventually they'll lead us to… wherever they're going".
"You're a genius" I muttered shaking my head as I packed my bag hurriedly.
"If you don't like it you don't have to come" Joey told smugly.
I rolled my eyes "I'll come but only to keep you two out of trouble" 'and keep an eye on Tea'.
-A short while later-
We were following the others down a street not so discreetly. We peeped around a corner to watch them "Operation trailing, commence" Joey whispered.
"We're not secret agents ya' know" I mocked getting a glare in response.
As we followed Tea, Miho and Tristan down the street we hid behind various objects as we went. Tea seemed to think they were being followed. But seeing as she never actually saw anyone following them, they continued on undisturbed.
"That was close" Yugi breathed.
"She can be pretty smart" Joey realised.
"Can we stop hiding now?" I hissed.
I was being squished between a giant bear, a glass window and a short spiky haired teen that shall remain nameless. "Okay let's go." Joey agreed and we all came out from behind the bear and ran after our targets.
Running around the corner we saw the targets entering none other than. "Burger World" Joey exclaimed perplexed.
"Why?" Yugi asked equally puzzled.
"You got me." I replied shrugging.
When we went to the front door we were greeted by Tea, Miho and Tristan in Burger World uniform. "Welcome! Welcome to Burger World…" Upon realising it was us they cut the cheerful welcome short.
"Um what are you guys doing exactly?" I questioned looking at the trio bewildered.
They froze and didn't respond to me question "Hey answer us, what are you guys doing?" Joey repeated irritated.
"Wh-what are you saying?! Can't you tell?! It's a part time job" Tristan answered.
"Isn't part time work forbidden by school rules?" I asked crossing my arms and looking sideways at them.
"Yeah and you're always the one enforcing school rules too." Joey added.
"Don't speak of it Joey, I also was troubled, I know what the school rules are… however-".
"Miho wants so many things" Miho interrupted clasping her hands together in happiness.
That answered the question of why those two were here, but what about Tea. "Hey hey you three!" an orange haired man called.
"They're customers right? hurry and lead them to their seats." He instructed.
So they did as they were ordered presumable by their boss. "H-hey Joey, Keiko, maybe we shouldn't have come here, they seem pretty embarrassed and Tea looks mad." Yugi observed.
"I told you guys, but you just wouldn't listen." I lectured wagging my finger around.
"Serves her right, their fault for keeping this secret" Joey said disgruntled.
"They must need the money to be working here and wear a uniform like that" I remarked.
"I think it's even worse than the school uniform if that's even possible. You wouldn't catch me in a uniform like that" all that green is too much for one girl.
Yugi looked at me for a moment "You'd look cute in it... that is… I mean…." his face went red after saying that.
He probably didn't mean to say it out loud but I thought it was sweet and his red face just made me want to giggle.
"Thanks for waiting" Tea said partially slamming a tray of food on our table.
"Tea..." Yugi asked uncertainly.
Tea had a scary look on her face as she grasped the tomato sauce bottle and began pouring it on our burgers. "At this restaurant we're all about customer service so let me put plenty of ketchup on your burger for you".
Shortly after I realised she had written all over our burgers with tomato sauce. 'I won't forgive you if you blab'. Yugi and Joey looked pretty scared by this semi threat, I however wasn't.
"If you really wanted to intimidate us you should have written "Blab and I'll kill you" I suggested leaning on my hand bored.
Tea just made that humph noise and began walking away. "Hey wait Tea!" Joey yelled after her making her stop.
"Well now you know about my job, I won't keep this hidden anymore".
She turned her head to look back at us "I'm saving money, when I graduate I'm going to America" she confessed. 'Well that was dramatic'.
"America" Joey and Yugi repeated in awe.
"I'm going to study dance in New York, it's my dream" she stated wistfully.
"You better not laugh" she winked pointing at us.
"We won't laugh, right Keiko, Joey?" Yugi looking back at us for reassurance.
"Of course not it's your dream, not a joke to be laughed at." I agreed whipping tomato sauce off a burger using a serviette.
"Yeah, relax Tea; we're not going to tell anyone, if I do blab, I'll buy you ten thousand of these hamburgers." Joey guaranteed before looking at the tomato covered hamburgers.
"But you know, how can a shop sell hamburgers with nothing but ketchup on them, how cruel!" Joey pointed at the burgers looking slightly aggravated.
"Relax, it's on me" Tea waved off walking away.
After that we started eating our meal and all the rumours seem to be correct, the food here is delicious. Shortly after though a man in a brown suit entered the store and started talking discreetly with the manager and staff.
"Hey guys it looks like something bad is happening over there" I notified.
One arm resting on the back of our booth as I twisted my body trying to see what was happening. This statement successfully drew Yugi's and Joey's attention away from their food. Now our worker friends had disappeared around the corner.
"Let's go check it out" Joey decided, Yugi and I nodded firmly in agreement.
We snuck over there and peeped around the corner eavesdropping on the conversation. "So you're saying the criminal may be in this restaurant".
"Yes, there was a report this morning, this seems to be the focal point of the break-ins" the man in the brown suit was saying.
"So I'm searching this area" he explained.
"So um what the culprit looks like" the manager asked.
Man in brown suit who is most likely part of police held up a picture for us to see. We all looked around the corner at the other customers in the restaurant. "Doesn't look like he's here" the manager noted.
"He's a master of disguise; it's rare to see him out of disguise".
None of them seemed to care that Yugi, Joey and I had joined the group now. "So he's probably wearing one right now, which means he could be anyone in the store." I hypothesized looking over the customers in thought.
A bandana and sunglasses wearing man in the back caught my eye, but he could equally be the fat cigar smoking guy or the bald old man. "We'll just have to check them all." someone decided.
"That would be bad, he has a pistol it seems." the policemen informed us.
"Does the criminal have any defining characteristics?" manager asked holding a tray under his arm.
The policemen thought momentarily "Three days ago, when stealing the jewels he had a struggle with one of the guards; the guard struck the fleeing culprit with his baton on his right calf".
"So if we find a person that has a bruise on their leg-" "Then we've found the criminal" Yugi finished for me smiling.
"Now we just need an excuse to look at people's legs" Joey said thoughtfully.
Looking around I spotted a basket full of toy cars on the counter. Walking over I tipped the basket with my hand, causing the cars to fall to the ground noisily and roll all over the place.
"Woops how clumsy of me" I famed winking at the group.
We spread out crawling on the floor, collecting the cars and checking people's legs. "Sorry excuse me" I apologised bending down under a table of three people.
I looked over their legs. None of them had a mark, before grabbing the toy car and removing myself from beneath them. I moved on to the next table it was the cigar smoking fat man I had seen before with his legs propped on the table.
"Excuse me sir please remove your legs from the table" I asked pushing up his pant sleeve on his right leg, there was no mark.
"What are you doing bitch?!" the man yelled at me furiously.
"Sorry Mr. Customer, we have a situation." manager man apologised for me.
"Don't give me that crap, messing with a man's resting time, what are you thinking?!" the man yelled just as heatedly.
Only to stop when policeman guy stuck a police badge in his face, man I wish I had one of those. "Excuse me, everyone it's probable that an escaped convict is in this shop, we have to check your legs to find him" policeman explained loudly so everyone could hear.
"The culprit should have a bruise on his calf where a guard hit him".
Complaints broke out from the customers; it seems the police have lost a criminal before in this city. "Is there no other feature that we can identify the culprit with?" Joey asked policeman.
"Yeah… it seems he was once admitted to hospital after having an allergic reaction to eggs." policeman read from a little black book.
I smirked "Well if that's true he'd better turn himself over to us" I stated loudly.
"What, why?" Tea asked looking at me.
"Come on Tea you were just telling us about how the burger buns here have plenty of eggs in them." I continued noisily.
After a moment the sunglasses man in the corner face paled considerable. He started to rock back and forth like he was going to faint. The policemen went over to him quickly and leaned down to be at eye level "What's wrong? You don't look so well".
"Shut up! Move!" the man shouted jumping out of his seat only to be caught in the policeman's grip.
His sunglasses and wig fell over his face, revealing bright yellow and purple spiky hair. "Tasaki Tetsu you're under arrest!" Policeman told holding tight to the struggling man.
"First call an ambulance! Please hurry call an ambulance, I'm extremely allergic to eggs!" Tetsu yelled having a freak out that just made me laugh.
I looked down upon him superiorly "For a master of disguise you sure are dumb." I mused happily.
"There's no eggs in these buns, its a hundred precent wheat flour." I told him holding a paper wrapper from one of the burgers in front of his face, it listed the ingredients.
"You really should be more careful of the things you put into your body" I recommended crossing my arms.
"SHIT" Tetsu shouted diving toward me only to fall on top of manager man since I side stepped the attack.
"JERK" Tetsu screeched grabbing onto manager man's shirt desperately only to be pulled off by policeman.
The shirt ripped clean off manager man's body revealing a giant spider tattoo that covered his entire back. "This, this tattoo…! the yellow spider, Jirou!". Manager man or rather Jirou jumped up quickly, snatching the gun protruding from Tetsu's trousers.
And before I knew it I had a gun pointed at my head and a hand clamped over my mouth. 'WHAT THE HELL! This is what I get for trying to save Tea's life. I'm the one that gets shot instead, well this is just peachy'.
"If you move, she dies." Jirou warned.
I struggled vainly in Jirou's grasp "LET GO OF ME CREEP"!
My muffled yell didn't seem to do anything though. It probably sounded more like "Mmm mM Mm MM MmMMM" to everyone else anyway.
"Stop squirming you" Jirou hissed, pressing the gun hard against my temple.
I stopped resisting after that, 'Okay cool man we're all friends here right'?
"You're the yellow spider Jirou!" policemen stated surprised.
"Yeah, I changed my face with surgery and blended into this town" he explained chuckling to himself sinisterly.
"Tetsu the Hedgehog, I never thought you'd come to this restaurant".
"Even when you were wearing a disguise, I could recognize you in a glance." he chuckled again.
'Okay well this guy is definitely mental'. Jirou then went on a rant and explained his evil ploy to everyone. 'Why do bad guys always do that'? Tetsu looked at Jirou speechless before slumping in defeat.
"Everyone get down" Jirou ordered and since there was no commotion I guess everyone obeyed.
If it were just me with this guy I'd put my self defense training into action and get away. But then he'd just take someone else prisoner, and we'd be in the same situation only with a different person. Tea, Miho or even Yugi, they'd all be easy targets and would not be able to escape as easily as me.
I watched as Jirou stole the bandana/ribbon from Tea's head. Then everything went dark as he tied it around my head disabling my ability to see. "Humans, when they lose their sight, become so scared they can't even scream." Jirou breathed into my ear.
I gritted my teeth "I'm not scared of the dark you bastard" I spat at him.
He chuckled "Well you're braver than most" he grabbed me roughly and lead me to a random booth to sit with him.
I could feel that he was pointing the gun at me. I could also feel all my friends trying to think of something and wishing for my safety.
"So…. Someone bring me what I demand." Jirou commanded scanning over the people before his gaze rested on one person in particular.
He smirked "You, the gutless looking kid, you do it".
"The rest of you close your eyes and don't move, anyone that does will get this" Jirou shot at the ceiling causing some rubble to fall on me.
"First, bring me some alcohol to drink and cigarettes to smoke." Jirou requested threateningly.
"Pig" I muttered under my breath.
Jirou tightened his hold on me "I had to quit all my old habits when I changed my identity, no more drinking or smoking… but now I can do whatever I want".
"And it's all thanks to you..." Jirou pushed some long brown bangs out of my face using the gun.
I did not react to this it would only make him happy, besides I was in thought at the time. Having my sight blocked off I could feel all my other senses were heightened. I could hear soft footsteps approaching us and a warm familiar presence that came along with them.
When Jirou said the "gutless kid" he must have meant… Yugi.
"YUGI, YUGI! DON'T COME ANY CLOSER THIS GUY IS A CRAZY ASSHOLE!" I shouted jumping up to my feet and looking directly where I knew Yugi was standing.
"SHUT UP! BITCH!" Jirou yelled after my outburst striking me hard on the cheek.
"You're the one that will have holes in you if you don't be quiet".
"KEIKO!" I heard Yugi call. He was terrified but not for himself, for me.
I pushed myself up from the ground holding my now sore cheek, before being seated again next to Jirou. "Those who manhandle my precious Keiko will suffer".
'Who the hell is that'? That doesn't sound like Yugi at all. I felt a dark aura enveloping the area; 'if it's not Yugi then it must be him!'. "However, I like letting chance decide that" the mysterious person continued.
'How is this even possible I could have sworn I felt Yugi's presence moments ago'. 'Now it's gone replaced by this other Yugi, talk about split personalities.'. "I brought the alcohol just as you wished" other Yugi stated taking a seat across the table from Jirou.
"Hey, you, who said you could stay?".
"What? I just thought you'd want a game partner, its game time".
I listened to the conversation between the two mostly to 'Yugi's' voice. 'That can't be Yugi, it's very close but still different, and he's a lot more confident and assertive'. 'Whoever that is must be either really smart or really crazy or both.'
"Oh, game? I guess I'm interested in it for a bit, in the past I used to gamble non-stop" Jirou told.
'Great so he's an alcoholic, gambler and smoker, he probably got thrown in jail for drug dealing too'. "However, this will be no ordinary game" other Yugi informed.
"It's the Yami No Game, a game where your life is at stake".
'Yami No Game? Yami Game where have I heard that before… oh that's right Gramps said that when he was telling us about the Millennium Puzzle'.
'The one who solves me will receive my dark knowledge and power' Gramps words played in my head over and over. So if the puzzle were to really give dark knowledge and power… maybe this other Yugi is that power. It's within the range of possibility I'll be it a crazy explanation.
Sometimes however the craziest explanation is the correct explanation and this could be one of those times.' When I zoned back into reality the 'game' was being set up. Though it's hardly a game if you can lose your life.
"Rule… just one, and that is, of these ten fingers, all are not to move except for the one you pick" other Yugi explained.
"We both choose our own, and only that finger can be used" he continued "So which finger do you choose".
"If that's the case, then of course it's the pointing finger I pick, the finger used to pull the gun's trigger".
"Okay, then I choose this finger".
'I hate blindfolds they're so annoying'. I may be psychic but I can hardly use that to see what's going on. I closed my eyes and breathed deeply to calm myself. 'Maybe this is one of those rare moments that I can justify using my curse on another person.
Yeah Jirou's a gun waving lunatic anyway, so it doesn't matter if something bad happens to him'. I tried to stop thinking instead focusing on Jirou. 'What can he do with one thumb? I'll send him to the other world in a second.' Jirou's voice echoed in my head.
'It's working I can't believe it's working!'. "After the game starts, you can do as you like, even pull the trigger" great plan other Yugi "So… let's go".
"Game start".
Jirou laughed "One second and its game over" then he paused.
I heard the sound of metal clinking 'That's right I haven't lit my cigarette yet, may as well let him use his thumb to light it, before I kill him' and a lighter being lit. "This lighter… you can have it back, I'll leave it there" Other Yugi said coldly, "That alcohol is Russion Senowolf, ninety percent alcohol".
'I can't move! If the lighter falls, the alcohol will light, then my body would….!' 'burst into flames!', I smirked.
Okay, other Yugi was smarter than I gave him credit for. "I'd like to see you fire your gun, the recoil would drop the lighter. Let's go Keiko" other Yugi grabbed my wrist and pulled me away from Jirou and man was I thankful for that.
Moments after I was away from Jirou I took off the blind fold he had tied around my head. As soon as I did this, I saw Jirou snatch the light with his right hand moving all five fingers and breaking the games rule. "I knew you wouldn't be able to obey the rules" other Yugi stated knowingly.
"The Yami No Game reveals the true nature of humans, for rule breakers, it's destined to be a punishment game." he explained a golden eye glowing brightly on his forehead.
That was probably the scariest I've ever seen Yugi look. Not that I see Yugi with a glowing eye on his head all that often.
"You brat! How dare you feed me that crap!" Jirou yelled in outrage, grabbing the gun and pointing it at other Yugi.
The eye on Yugi- I mean other Yugi, glowed brightly and blinded me momentarily. When I could see again Jirou was crying out in pain writhing on the floor like a spaz. "Someone, hurry, this fire… please put it out" he yelled in fear and pain.
I couldn't understand it, he wasn't on fire, but he thought he was. Just like how Ushio thought I was a monster back then. I turned to other Yugi to ask some questions, but standing next to me was just regular Yugi, which only raised more questions.
-Later-
I unlocked the door to the house and walked inside, my shoes clanked loudly on the tiled floor before I removed them. "MEOW" I heard Meko call as she came running toward me from down the hall.
I knelt down to greet her and she practically jumped into my arms. "Yes I know you're hungry, so what should we have for dinner?" I asked carrying her into the kitchen.
Opening the pantry cupboard and looked over the tins of cat food that remain there, I'd have to buy some more soon. "Rabbit liver" I read aloud, looking at Meko who did not respond. "Okay no".
"Beef and vegetables" again no response.
"Okay how about…" I paused momentarily pushing some cans out of the way "Cheese and chicken flavour".
"MMMRROOWWW" Meko yowled loudly rubbing up against my face happily.
"Okay this one then." I or rather Meko decided.
I plopped the food into her bowl. Meko began scarfing it like there was no tomorrow, purring whilst doing so. "I thought you said cats were supposed to be quite animals" Father yarned loudly from behind me.
"She is a quiet animal, she just gets excited when it's dinner time." I explained rummaging thought the fridge loudly, no need to be quiet now I know he's awake.
"I see, well before you go to bed make sure you keep it down. I have to get up early tomorrow and I'm not sure how long I'll be gone for." he informed me.
"Okay father. Well I'll be here." 'on my own… like always'.
"If you need to reach me in an emergency call my cell" he instructed finally before disappearing back into the master bedroom.
That was his nice way of saying 'don't call me unless you burn the house down'. I sighed slumping down on the kitchen counters stool "Looks like it's gonna be just you and me for a while" I told looking down at my cat.
She looked up at me with cat food all over her muzzle "MROW".
"I'm glad you're happy about it".
When I got up the next morning father had already left. This is how encounters with him usually went. He's very busy with work and other business stuff, so he rarely comes home for any long period of time.
Sometimes the only time I know he's been home is when I get up in the morning and things are not the way I left them. Which means father had come home after I went to bed and got up before I did then left. This is the most common thing to happen when he was home.
He can be gone for days, weeks, once I didn't see any sign of him for a whole month. Not that I was worried I knew he'd come back sooner or later. To be honest it doesn't make a difference in my life if I see him or don't. He may as well not be here anyway; I can take care of myself.
-The next day-
"So you quit working?" Yugi asked.
"Yeah, if I keep working, I won't have time to spend with you, Yugi" Tea smiled.
Ouch that hurt "At least you won't have to wear that hideous green uniform anymore" I reminded getting a sideways glance of dislike from Tea.
As we walked we came up to a noodle shop where Joey was waiting for us "Hey you're late!" he called waving at us.
"Look! Opening today is this beef noodle shop, I hear it's delicious." just then the automatic doors opened.
"Welcome…" Miho and Tristan greeted from the entry.
"Y-you guys still doing that?" Joey asked pointing at them.
"But… but… I want new clothes!" Miho cried clasping her hands together with the same expression as last time.
"I… I… will fall as far as needed, so long as I'm with Miho" Tristan added looking determined.
We all let out a sigh and I shook my head sadly. I just know this isn't the weirdest thing that's going to happen.
