So…is Vee dead? No, she was just being lazy over the summer. She's not lazy during the school year, mind you. All Vee has time for during the school year is school work and napping, and sometimes eating if she can stomach it.
I promise right here, right now that I will do my best to update more often for all of my stories. Starting with this one, cause it's one of my favorites.
Disclaimer: I wish Naruto was mine. But I also wish certain Naruto characters would come into the real world and live in my house.
Sasori carried me back to the bedroom, using his chakra to staunch the bleeding. "Sasori-nii," I said, laying my head on his chest. "You have the most beautiful colored hair."
"Kei, you should try to relax," he replied.
I started to get angry, what had just happened was finally sinking in. "Sasori, I lost," I said, deadpanning.
"It was just to see if he could join, it didn't mean anything."
"But I lost," I growled. "I've never lost. Ever. In anything! Not even card games!"
"That's because you cheat in card games," he replied, rolling his eyes.
"No, I don't," I sighed, exasperatedly. "I can't believe I lost to him! How could I-"
"Don't stress yourself out too much, Kei," Sasori interrupted gently as he entered our room, locking the door. He laid me on his bed before going across the room.
"Wait, Nii-san," I called him back.
He walked over, looking down at me. "What's wrong, Kei?"
"The pillow doesn't feel right," I replied. "Help me sit up so I can fix it."
He sat me up, but stopped me from moving the pillows. "Let me do it," he replied. "Just tell me what to do."
"Go grab one of the pillows from my bed," I commanded, and he did as I said. When he came back to the bedside, I grabbed it from him. "Now take the pillow on the right and hand it to me." He complied. "Now move the pillow on the left a little more towards the middle."
He moved it. "A little more," I commanded, looking over at him. "A wee bit more. Now back a little. Okay there! Don't move it!"
I handed him his other pillow. "Now put this one on the bed, overlapping with the other pillow for about four inches. No a little more to the left. That's great. Now put this one right on top of them with the overlap perfectly in the middle. Great! You're the best!"
I lay back down, more comfortable now and watched as Sasori walked back to his dresser. "Oh, wait, Sasori! Come back!" I called to him, causing him to sighed and walk back over.
"What is it now, Kei?"
"Can you bring me Lamby and a juice box?" I asked, pouting slightly.
He sighed again and walked to my bed, picking up my stuffed toy and tossed it over to me, causing it to make a rattling noise. What? It's been my favorite toy since I was in diapers.
Sasori walked over to our mini-fridge, which was packed full of beverages, no room for food. He pulled out a Hi-C and tossed that to me too. "Is that everything?"
"Can I have some mourning food?" I asked, still upset at losing.
"No food in here," he replied. "IF you want I could go to the kitchen-"
"Then you'd have to unlock the door and then he could come in, and then I'd have to talk to him, and My Leg Really Hurts!" I complained, groaning. "Fucking Jashin, have mercy!" I cried, tossing my head back.
Sasori came over to me, a needle in his hand, and I pushed him away. "Get that fucking needle away from me!" I cried, trying to forcing him away from me.
"Kei, it's to numb the pain," he explained.
"I don't want it," I shook my head stubbornly.
"Kei-" he sighed, but the rest of his sentence was cut off by a knock on the door.
"Go away, you bombed fucker!" I called, growling.
"Kei, Sasori, it's Itachi, Kisame, and Pein," I heard Pein's soothing voice say through the door. "Please let us in."
Sasori looked at me, and I nodded. He placed the needle down on the bedside table next to his bed and walked over to the door, opening it, and allowing the three in before closing it and locking it again. While the three were walking in, however, somehow the needle just flew across the room. It's not like I threw it or anything. That would be...rediculous.
The three of the circled the bed, eyeing me cautiously. "How are you, kid?" Kisame asked, breaking the silence.
"Pain," I said. "Hurts."
"Sasori, what can you do?" Itachi asked, looking at the redhead. "I can make her proportionally a puppet. Replace the leg. Make one for this form and one for her other form."
Itachi nodded, accepting the answer.
Sasori walked over to the bedside table, looking for the needle, scowling when he couldn't find it. "Where's the needle, Kei?"
"I didn't throw it over there, if that's what you're implying," I said quickly, pointing towards the wall on the other side of the room.
He rolled his eyes, walking over there and picking it up. He gave the three a look, and they nodded. That can't be good.
Pein and Itachi each took one of my arms, and Kisame took my remaining leg, effectively holding me down. "Wait, what're you doing?" I whined.
"This is for your own good, Kei," Pein responded.
I tried to thrash around when I saw the needle coming towards me, but I couldn't move. I looked away, swinging my hand for Pein to grab, which he did, giving me a look.
I felt the cold needle insert itself into the scarred flesh of the topmost part of my thigh, I whimpered, letting out a soft sob, earning pained glances for the four surrounding me.
Sasori pulled the needle out, discarding it into his biohazard container before pulling out a measuring tape from his back pocket. "The pain should numb in five to fifteen minutes," he said, measuring my remaining leg. "Kei, when you stand, do you tend to lean more to your left or right?"
"I put more weight on my left leg, why?" I replied, cuddling Pein's hand.
"That means you're right leg is slightly longer," Sasori nodded. "I'll just subtract .5 centimeters from this measurement, and them I can take the others. Itachi, write these down please."
Itachi nodded, taking the notepad and pencil from Sasori.
"Seventy-five-point-five centimeters," Sasori read, Itachi writing it. "That's length." He moved the tape around my thigh. "Sixteen-point-seventy-five inches—thigh circumference." He moved the tape again. "Calf—eleven-point-seven inches…"
And on it went. Then Sasori got this really big piece of paper which he separate into large section. He lifted up my leg and began tracing once side of my leg onto the paper, then he shifted both the paper and my leg into a new position.
This went on until he covered every aspect of my leg. "Will we have to do this for my wolf form too?" I asked, not looking forward to that idea.
"We'll have to unless you never want to hunt again, Kei," Sasori replied gently. "You can take a nap, while I get started on your leg."
"What kind of wood are you going to use?"
"Sitka Spruce," he replied, grinning slightly.
"Because spruce is my favorite word to bother you with?" I asked.
He shook his head. "Because you're lazy and don't want to carry anything too heavy. This wood happens to be sturdy and lightweight."
"And..?"
"And because you love to bother me with the word spruce," he sighed, causing me to giggle. "Goodnight, Kei."
"G'night, Sasori-nii-Chan," I replied. "Goodnight, Itachi-nii. Good-night, Kisame-nii-san. Goodnight, Chichi."
"Goodnight, Kei," they replied, placing my blanket over me and handing me Lamby.
"Love you," I whispered, snuggling into the pillow as Kisame and Itachi left the room. Pein stayed.
"We should talk, Kei," he said, looking stern.
What? You make us wait all this time, and it's a short chapter and a cliffhanger? What is wrong with you?
Gomen! Gomen! I'm sorry! It's like one o'clock in the morning and I have to wake up early tomorrow!
I promise to try and update soon!
Until then, you might find it a nifty thing to leave a review that is not all flame-y.
Anyways, loves and hugs, minions.
Yours psychotically,
Vee
