So for now on, I will be updating pretty frequently. I'm so sorry that I let you all down by not posting... for like a year. That was very shitty of me. I ended up just giving up and I think my writing ability kind of dwindled a little, or maybe a lot. But I'm willing to work on it if you're willing to believe in my again. I'm hoping to get a chapter out weekly, maybe fortnightly if I'm extremely busy. I'm so sorry guys!
I hope you like this chapter anyhow.
"Oh" I muttered ,my eyes wide and my mouth agape as I looked at the scene before me.
My brother and my best friend were on the couch, their lips locked and their arms intertwining each other, but now, they stared back at me. Sam bit his lip and my brother looked horrified.
"Kim, I thought you were going to get out of the house..." he trailed off.
"It's pissing down in rain- thank you for that by the way" I grumbled. "You left me stranded at school with no way of getting home. I could've caught pneumonia and died, and apart from all that I lost my phone."
Nobody said anything, the atmosphere was tense.
"So... you're gay?" I asked as I took the two of them in. Sam and Jamie both had blushes on their face, they were holding hands. "How long has this been going on for?" I gestured at their clasped hands.
"A little while- a month"
Jamie nodded.
"Jamie we need to talk" I whispered. "Later, okay?"
He looked abashed and afraid almost, but he nodded,
I trudged up the stairs, my sneakers squeaking from soaked sole- all I want to do was get out of my god damn clothes and into my comfy, warm pyjamas and then into my even warmer and comfier bed.
And I as I began stripping off my clothes, getting into a new bra and panties there was a knock at my door.
"Kim, can we talk?"
"Come in Sam."
This wasn't the first time Sam had seen me in my bra and undies, or even, one time- naked. We were used to it, or we just stopped caring.
"Are you angry at me?"
"Pissed, actually: the two of you have been dating for a month and you didn't tell me?"
"I didn't even think we'd last that long, Kim."
I looked at him as I put on my pants. "Why not?"
"He is ashamed of us, of being gay. I think he is afraid of what people are going to say, and I still have to watch him at his table with all those sluts, they kiss him, offer him to go to their house later that night and have sex."
"You really like him, don't you?"
"Yeah"
As I buttoned up my flannelette pyjama shirt Sam grinned.
"Is it just me, or are your tits getting bigger?"
"Are you turning straight for me Sammy?"
"You wish. What time does your dad get home tonight?"
"Yuck" I glared light heartedly. "You just want to have sex with my brother, don't you?"
He nodded as he grinned cheerfully.
"But seriously... out of all the guys you could be with, you chose my brother? How would you like it if I had sex with your brother?"
"To each their own"
"Mhmm, get out of my room you asshat" I chucked my DVD remote in his direction, watching as he dodged it skilfully, slamming my door shut as he left.
My feet padded toward my bed, I slipped under the covers and shut my eyes, hoping that this time I would get some sleep without the presence of another nightmare.
I wasn't in my bed as I awoke. I was somewhere else. In a room I haven't been in. I couldn't find my clothes- they weren't on me.
I pulled up the sheet to cover my naked body, guarding it as I scanned the room. I was sore, and broken on the bed. I stood up and I noticed purple and blue bruises lacing my body and an ache in the bottom of my stomach.
There was no one to be seen anymore, they were gone. My head was hazy and I tried to remember what happened- and when I did I bit my lip, my eyes closing on their own accord.
My clothes were ripped, and I wanted to scrub myself raw- until there was nothing left of my skin. I sat back on the bed, and I wrapped my arms around myself.
Blood was on the sheets, along with... other substances.
And if I really thought hard about what happened I would hear their laughing in my head.
That's when the door opened, and that's when a head popped in and he smiled. He grinned at me evilly.
"So, does this mean you're ready for round two then?
"No, you stay away from me." I whispered feebly, air caught in my throat as I tried to breathe out. "Don't!"
He kept coming closer toward me and then I screamed out: "Daddy!"
"He can't help you now"
The pale face walked closer to me.
"Daddy, help me!"
"Kim! Kim, baby!" I was awoken from the dream by my father; he had me in his arms, holding me tightly to his chest.
I didn't realise that I was crying until he was wiping away the tears that was drifting down my face.
Sam and Jamie at the door, both were watching me with the same look- one of sadness and scare.
"Shh, baby. Daddy is here now- boys, go out there please" They obliged, Jamie casting one more look at me before turning around, Sam in tow- they shut the door quietly behind them.
For the next five or so minutes he kept rubbing my back until my sobbing turned into nothing but hiccups.
"Are you okay baby girl?" He mumbled quietly into my ear, when I nodded he looked down at me with an unsure look on his face. "Don't you dare lie to me" His voice was stern.
"It was just a nightmare, I'm okay."
"What was it about?" He moved the hair from out of my face.
"I can't remember." I lied.
"It's probably all that gory shit you watch Kimmy." He taped my nose and held me just like he used to do when I had nightmares as a kid.
"Daddy, what're you doing home so early?" I looked at the clock that read 7:52. "I didn't think you were coming home till at least 12:00."
"It was a slow day Kimmy, thank goodness, I'm glad to be home with my two brats. " He grinned at me, then lifted my off of his lap. He taped my butt lightly. "Pizza for dinner sound good?"
"Yum" I nodded in agreement.
"And I was also thinking that we could have an American Horror Story marathon?"
I beamed up at him.
"That sounds awesome!"
"If we get through all 3 seasons we can have a Supernatural marathon too"
I grinned, getting up off my bed and walking in front of him. He always knew how to make me feel better, and for that, I was grateful.
"Dad"
"Yes sweetheart?
"I love you"
"I love you too baby"
Me, Jamie and Sam settled down to watch American Horror Story whilst dad went to go order the pizzas.
It was about twenty minutes into the episode when the doorbell rang; dad looked at us and said "That couldn't be the pizza dude now, could it?"
I shrugged my shoulders. "Go answer it, peasant!" I clapped my hands and pointed toward the door, watching as he put on angry facade and glared at me the whole work to the door, never losing eye contact... until he almost hit the wall.
"Smooth" I shook my head at him.
I watched as Jamie and Sam snuck a kiss whilst my dad was at the door, they looked at each other. Jamie gave Sam the look. I'm sure you know what look I'm talking about; the look- where they just stare at each other like they haven't seen each other in years, like there was no one else in the room, just them; they were happy.
"Kim" My father said, a strange looking on his face as he successfully snapped me out of my reverie.
"Yeah?"
"It's for you honey"
I looked at him confusedly, the only person I really talked to at school was Sam and Bobbie, and Bobbie is visiting her grandparents. But I get up anyhow, and walk to the ajar door, the rain finally starting to slow down.
As I opened it, my eyebrows furrowed. What on Earth are you doing here? Was the only thought that came to my mind.
Jared Thail. On my doorstep. Wearing nothing but a pair of cut off jeans and his Nike's; rain was glistening on his well defined chest. Oh swoon. And for some reason, he looked shy... nervous even. Why was he even here... for me?
"Um, hi Jared"
"You know my name?" He looked surprised almost, but a smile crept up on his face.
"I sure do, we've gone to all the same schools since kindergarten."
"Oh, uh, yeah, right..." He just kept looking at me, staring at me like I was the lighthouse and he was the stranded ship that just found hope. "Um... I- uh."
"Aren't you cold?" I muttered.
"No, I don't get affected by the cold."
"You say that now, but you'll die of pneumonia. So, why are you here?"
"Oh right, um." He put his hands in his pocket, fishing for something in them. "I found this."
He held it up in front of me; my saviour, my life line, my best friend, my only source of entertainment when I'm at school.. My phone, my baby...
I beamed up at him, taking the phone thankfully out of his hands.
"Thank you."
He smiled back at me.
"You're welc-" He was cut off mid sentence before he sighed, murmuring "I need to go." He turned around, getting ready to leave, only to turn back around and face me. "I'll see you"
"Bye, thanks again"
He nodded, and I closed the door.
Oh that boy is perfect in every possible way.
I clutched the phone to my chest and sighed, a small smile on my face. The things I would do to him...
"What did he want, darling?" Dad asked as I walked in the lounge room.
"Well today I lost my phone and he found it, he just gave it to me" I showed it to him.
"That was nice of him." I nodded in agreement.
