Raven was sore all over.

Except her head of course. Though there was a burning pain where she hit it, inside it was numb. All Raven could think of was how could Malchior do this?

Raven wasn't an idiot, she knew that their relationship wasn't exactly "healthy", but what people didn't realize was, how much Raven needed Malchior. Or how much she thought she needed him. He had taught her things, was there for her when no one else was. She loved Jinx and the kids, But with Malchior, she thought she had an equal. No strings attached. Even when he hit her, it was worth it for what he made her feel. Like she wasn't a freak or an outcast. Or the daughter of...

Thunder clapped over head, shaking Raven out of her thoughts. She groaned as rain pelted her already mussed hair. It wash't long before the cold water seeped through her blue hoodie and into her thin arms. Raven looked around. She didn't recognize where she was. Having barely escaping being raped, Raven didn't really have time to think about what direction she was going as long as she wasn't going in his. Judging by the trees she was a little out of the city, but judging by the metal barriers on either side of the road, she was still on the main road.

She figured she should find north. Lots of places have a north.

Another thunder clap rang above her. Raven thought about how when it would thunder and how it echoed under the bridge. Then she remembered how Malchior would say that all the rock stars that ever died of drug abuse were having a tea party in heaven. Raven hated herself from jumping back to that. She hated herself for losing control over a guy, but she couldn't help this horrible aching in her chest. She felt her barriers slipping.

Get it together! she scolded herself as tears began to well up. If you don't get a grip...

Suddenly the sound of quiet sobbing started next to her.

...They show up.

slowly Raven turned slightly to the source of the sobbing. Next to her was, well, her. That being another Raven. Raven stopped in her tracks to stare at the other Raven. She was almost Ravens exact twin, with the exception of a grayish greenish hoodie instead of blue.

"H-he hurt us h-he lied to us" stammered the Raven look alike.

"oh no. Oh no no no no no." said Raven, whipping tears away as she backed away. Her shivering counterpart shuffled slowly up to Raven, extending her hand to her. Raven kept on backing away as if afraid to touch her.

"We're alone. I don't want to be alone!' she sobbed

"Go away! I don't need this." growled Raven. Suddenly a loud snarl behind her made her jump back. She landed on the Timid Ravens outstretched arm. The arm passed right through her stomach and came out the other end as if Raven never touched it. Before them was another Raven, but with a red hood and four glowing red eyes.

"HOW DAAAAAAARE HE!'' It shrieked. Raven pulled her hood tight around her head and ran, leaving Timid and Rage alone.

Stumbling in the dark and rain, Raven fled the taunting voices in her head, until of course she realized how stupid it was to be running in the dark with her hood over her eyes. unfortunatly that was about five seconds before she tripped over the metal barrier and into the mud.

"Ugh great." she moaned, thumping her throbbing head on the ground.

Vic turned on the head lights as he drove his van down the road. The ran pelted down hard and the darkness didn't help as he drove home

"Do you think Garth got the kids in bed on time?" asked a gorgeous woman sitting next to him, tossing her long hair as she turned away from the window.

"I'm sure they're fine Sarah." said Vic, addressing his wife in a gruff voice. "Garths a good guy, he can handle them."

Sarah just arched an eyebrow. "You can hardly catch them. Hows he going to?" she asked. Vic rolled his eyes. "He's a swimmer, he's built for speed."

"yeah underwater." she retorted. Vic chuckled. "You sure do like fighting."

"I like it much better when we don't fight but you always give me something to fight about." she said indigently. Vic shot her a suspicious look that couldn't stop a smile from playing across Sarah's face. She gave his arm a playful slap when her face fell. Vics smile disappeared as well and he followed her gaze out the window. There seemed to be a person lying on the side of a road.

"poor kid." said Sarah. Vic nodded when he noticed the mud clodded hoodie the person was wearing and slammed on the breaks.

"Vic what are you doing!' exclaimed Sarah as she bounced off the dash. Vic was already getting out of the car. he turned back.

"I can't leave her. I know her."

Vic ran out to the side of the road and kneeled over the body. Slowly he turned her around to face him. Vic held his breath when he saw her bruised and dirty face.

"Raven?' he asked carefully. The girl in his arms moaned slightly and opened her eyes a crack.

"Vic?" she asked in a raspy version of her monotone. Vic gave her a half hearted chuckle. "Pleasure to be remembered sweetheart." he said.

"Vic whats going on who is... oh" Sarah had ran after her husband to see what had happened. She stopped in her tracks at the sight of Raven. "Sarah this is Raven, one of the homeless people that were arrested that night." he said solemnly. Sarah covered her mouth with her hand. Vic turned his attention back to Raven.

"what happened Rae?" he asked

"M-m-malchior." she stammered. Vic nodded in understanding.

"Vic we have to help her!" said Sarah. Vic nodded again and picked up Raven.

"Should we take her to a hospital?'' asked Vic. Raven made a groaning sound again and shook her head. Sarah put a warm hand on her cold one. "No, lets take her home." she agreed. Vic carried Raven to the back seat of the van and Sarah got in the back with her. Raven gave a look at this warm woman above her.

"Thanks." she murmured before she slipped into sleep.

Jinx sat under the bridge in the hive. Bored, she sat on a crate and counted the octagons above her. She hadn't seen Raven in a while. She hadn't shown up to work. Jinx was starting to get worried, but of course she wasn't allowed to go to the apartment by decree of crazy british dude. Jinx let her eyes wander aimlessly to the side as she reclined on the crates.

Out of the corner of her eye, she saw Mammoth tucking in his sister to a old bed that was discard among the crates and other trash. Mammoth, being true to his name of being a large hulking beast with orange hair practically down to his butt, has absolutely banned that bed from being used by anyone other than his amazingly petite little sister. In general , Mammoth is a mean, hulking, stupid, selfish, ass. But he did have a big soft spot for Shimmer.

"You ok Jinx?" asked Seemore, going up to sit next to her. Jinx was snapped out of her thoughts. "Oh yeah. Oh no wonder you didn't know what I was doing! See its this fantastic thing called thinking. You probably never heard of it."

A big hooting laugh came from the other way. Billy and Kyd were eating burgers by one of the supports. Billy was loud and not exceptionally bright. He also tended to be in multiple places at once so that laugh sprang everywhere. Much his polar opposite was Seemores best friend Kyd, who mainly staid in the shadows and never talked, but certaintly made a show of smiling. Jinx rolled her eyes.

"So you sure nothings the matter?'' asked Seemore. Jinx nodded. "Yeah I guess I just have a lot on my mind. Things just feel tough you know. Constantly having to handle all these things and worry about these things. I don't think I can handle everything ya know. But if I don't everything falls apart." She said quietly, more to herself than Seemore. She turned to her friend of such a long time to see what he thought.

His large eyes were, vacant.

"That really sucks Jinx" He said. "If you feel sad though, I can make you feel better." he said flirtatiously, moving his arm around Jinx and pulling her to his shoulder. Jinx was numb. She had just poured her deepest fears into him and he didn't care. About her. He just wanted, um "her" .

"Seemore, how...?" she started as she pushed away, when Gizmo jumped up behind them.

"Haha friend zone!" he shrieked

"Haha act your age" Jinx said back pushing the little man off the crate.

"You bitch!" shrieked Gizmo as he jumped over the crates and tackled Jinx. Jinx shrieked and shoved him off.

"Don't do that!' shrieked Jinx at Gizmo. Billy exclaimed a " YEEEEHAAH" and also jumped on Jinx.

Great. Another gang up on Jinx party.

"Get off!" she yelled, rolling off Billy and pulling him away.

"HHHHHHHEAAAAAAAAAAAYYYYYYY! shrieked Mammoth. "YOUR GOING TO WAKE SHIIIIIIIIIIMMMMMEEEEEERRR!" he roared. Shimmer didn't even stir. Mammoth seized Jinx around the waist and threw her over his shoulder. The boys cheered as Mammoth spun around

"Woah! Mammoth down! Dislike! very much dislike!" she screamed. Without any choice, Jinx grabbed a handful of Mammoths hair and pulled up and over.

"AAAAAARRRRRGGGG" screamed Mammoth and he dropped her to the hard floor. The rest of the boys quieted down.

"How ,many times have a told you not to DO THAT!" she yelled at them. The boys backed away. "I could leave you guys at any moment and then where would you be!'' she yelled.

Then Billy stepped foreword. "But you'd never leave, we can do what we want." he said with a perverted grin. A slight flush clouded her pale face. Then suddenly out of the corner of her eye, she saw a cop car on the street. With a red headed cop watching them with intent and fury.

"I got to go." she said solemnly.

Jinx started walking away, which turned into a trot, then she ran. She ran until the group was barely a dot. She would probably be invisible to the hive five since she was alone and rather tiny.

She leaned on a cement support and let the loose strands of hair coming out of her pigtails hang over her face. She started to breath heavily, trying to clear her brain. Pushing her hair back, Jinx pressed her back to the support and slid down with her knees pressed to her chest in a tight ball.

"Jinx?"

The voice above her was connected to none other than officer Wally West. Jinx quickly scrambled away and stood.

"What are you doing here?" she yelled. Wally held his hands up in surrender position. "Don't worry I wasn't stalking you. Though I would have good reason too." he said , winking. Rolling her eyes. Jinx flopped down on the ground. "I thought you were done with that crap."

"Well I changed my moral code."

"Yeah, ill bet.'' said Jinx, sprawling herself on the floor. Wally chuckled. "But seriously, I was just checking for speeders and I saw what happened. You ok?" he asked, kneeling down. Jinx leaned up.

"Why would I not be ok?"

"Well they were kind of wailing on you." said Wally

"If you're so worried then why didn't you help me?" asked Jinx with a bit of anger in her voice. Wally opened his mouth as if to retort but nothing came out. Jinx gave a little huff and got up.

"Hey Jinx!'' he said, jogging up to her. Jinx jumped when he started in front of her. "Jesus you're fast!" she mumbled.

"Aw come on Jinx i'm sorry." he said. Jinx rolled her eyes. "I'm sure. look I know why you're here. You want to know about the shelter."

For a second actual guilt flashed through the cops eyes. Jinx faltered for a split second. "Yeah I want to know about the shelter. What can I say, i'm a cop, i' curious. But seriously, you a good kid. If something bad happened to you I wanna know what happened." he said. Wally carefully reached out to Jinx and put a hand behind her head, tracing her scar with his thumb. Jinx blushed and took a step back.

"You have to tell me something first."

"Sorry wut?"

Jinx folded her arms and fixed and impudent stare at his, uh chest.

"You have to tell me something first."

Wally nervously rubbed his neck. "What kind of thing?" he asked. Jinx started to walk towards him and he walked back.

"I want you to tell me something personal and tragic that makes you shudder to think of. A horrible experience in your life that has left emotional scars." she practically snarled. By then Wally was almost touching the support across from Jinxes.

Then he froze and gripped Jinx hard under the chin suddenly, forcing her to look into his eyes.

"I watched my uncle die when we were caught in an electrical fire."

This froze Jinx in place. She was only aware of Wallys hand under her chin.

"I-I-I" she stammered. Then she wrenched her face away and looked at the ground. "I didn't think you would do it." she said. Wally gave a sad smile and put both hands on her shoulders.

"You don't have to say anything." he said. Jinx shook her head. Wally turned her head back to him, more gently this time. "Really. Saying that made me realize I wasn't being fair to you." he said. He put and arm around her and the two started to walk along the river.

"You really didn't, mean I, i'm sorry." she said. Wally smirked. "It's fine."

"There was a factory." said Jinx suddenly.

"huh?"

"There was a factory. In the basement. A long line of furnaces. They would have us find and put scrap metal in them. We were building something. I asked once. The owner gabbed my hair and pressed it to the furnace. Another kid threw him off me. H-h-he disappeared that we-week. The owner had my look for him. I found him in the fridge." She said, her voice cracking.

"Oh"

Wally pulled her into his chest and let her cry.

"I am so sorry Jinx. That must have been so hard."

Jinx nodded against his chest.

"I kinda liked him to." she squeaked. Wally felt a chill suddenly and pressed Jinx harder to him.

"How old were you."

"Twelve"

"But how...?"

"Please stop asking questions." she said. Wally nodded and held Jinx in his arms again.

After a while, Jinx shifted her head. And it hit something.

Wallys police badge.

Jinx shoved away. Wally stepped forward with his arms extended. "Whats wrong?"

Jinx covered her face with her hands.

"I can't be doing this. I'm not allowed to be doing this. I don't cry or get upset about things and I certainly don't do it in front of you!''

wally stared at her sadly. Jinx couldn't take the pity.

So she shoved him into the river.

She ran to the edge to see if he was ok. His red head broke the surface and he spat out water. He gave a furious glare at Jinx. Slowly she started to back away and started running.

The phone rang in Dicks office. He spun his chair around and picked it up.

"Yeah. Oh hello Commissioner Wilson. Yeah. Wait what?"

Dick raise an eyebrow so it showed over his glasses.

"Bring maximum security inmates 44 through46 to the generally penitentiary for clearance? But sir they're...! Yes sir. Yes I know sir. Ok Sir."

Robin gave an exasperated sigh and slunk back into his chair. Then he suddenly stiffened. He started to role in the direction of his files.

Ok I promise I will explain the weirdness!
