I own nothing

It was late afternoon two weeks later, when Erik was watching from his music room as Katarina and the other child of the servants played with Christine the rose gardens. Their laugher was no doubt music to his ears. The children of his servants loved her she was someone that loved playing with. Erik watched in amazement a boy fell down and started to cry as his Christine run over with concern across her face. The boy stopped crying as she cuddled him close to her chest murmuring softly into his ear. The boy started giggling as Christine tickled him after she knew he was not hurt. She would be a perfect mother. Erik thought bitterly He turned back to the piece he was working on. He sighed trying to collect his thoughts. But every time he closed his eyes the image of his injure angel popped into his head. Even as her voice returned to her slowly she refused to talk about what happened to her. He longed to know what happened to her after that fateful night. The kisses they shared were nothing short heavenly. He sighed deeply run his hand up the unmasked side of his face.

Christine watched as the child chased each other through the garden. Giles, the little boy, got out of her lap and took after the other children. He had a hard time walking and running due to his deformity of his legs and feet. His soft wavy black hair fop back and forth was he play with other children. She smiled as they played with each other. This was what she long for secretly; she wanted a family not just any family one with her angel, her Erik. She turned her head and looked up were his music room was at with sad look on her face. The time that Erik spent with her since she had been here was limited at best. Many questioned plagued her mind. She had heard the servants talk about their master lady friend Lady Clarisse. She knew it was wrong for her heart to feel betrayed he deserved happiness even if it was not with her. But that knowledge did not stop the pain. It was plain to see that to her that he never loved her at all. Oh, how wrong she was.

Katarina ran over to Christine pulling on her hands waking Christine from damning thought. She smiled at her before starting to tickle Katarina. That caused her to bust of out in peals of giggles which in turn cause the rest of ten children come closer to her.

Soon the children went off to their home for supper; leaving Christine and Katarina walking down to Katarina's home. They stop near the stables Katarina pulled Christine to sit by her favorite tree.

"Christine, where is your prince I thought all princess had prince."

Christine turned and looked at Katarina with shocked expression her face; picked up Katarina and place her on her lap so she was facing each other. She kiss Katarina forehead. Christine looked off in the distant when thoughts of her and Erik played in her head followed by thought of her and Raoul.

"I thought I had two once. One was handsome and I thought he kind but he turn out to be a monster in princes clothing. The other looked much like monster but he was truly the most generous and sweet person I ever met. He was willing to give me up to make me happy because he loved me. But by the time realized the truth that love him; it was too late. He had moved on. So as of now Katarina I have no prince."

"If he loved you then won't he love you now?"

"I don't know, sweetie. God only knows." Christine said softly

If only that was the truth. Christine thought.

Isabella came out of the house looking for her daughter. Katarina looked at Christine oddly as if she knew what she was thinking. She quickly stood up and looked over to where her mother was at as if she sense her presence. Isabella walked over to Katarina talking her little hand.

"See you tomorrow Princess Christine." Katarina said.

"Bye, Katarina."

Christine stood started to head back to the manor. She stopped a ways away from manor. She looked out of the landscape as twilight started to fall leading into night. This was one of the few moment she had by herself. She walked over to a fountain in middle of garden. She stared at her own reflection. She dropped to her knees; bowing her head.

"God please make the pain stop. I cannot stand much more of this. If I must stay here and be near him as he goes on make my love for him stop please. I love him. God I learned my lesson. I know I should be happy for him. God believe me I know. He deserves happiness. This hurts worse than any physical pain. God; please make it stop." Christine pleaded.

Silent tears coursed down her face. She continued her silent pleads to make her pain stop. Christine looked up to night sky. The stars seemed to wink as the tears continued. Christine tried in vain to put on brave face and removed her tears from her face. She had no clue how long she stood there looking at the winking stars.

Suddenly if sensing her angel's presence she turned and looked at him. Erik heart stood still as his eyes took in the sight of his Christine with tears pouring down her beautiful face. His yellow green eyes met her clear blue eyes which were frame in pink from her crying. She let out a sigh and looked away from him the temptation was to strong; it was followed by a sharp pain in her heart. Erik walked closer; placing his hand on her shoulder.

"Christine… Christine what's wrong?"

"I can't" Christine muttered.

Erik turned her so she was facing him. Her head was still down staring at the ground. He gently lifted his hand to her delicate jaw and lifting her face so she was looking at him. The moon dripped behind the clouds leaving them with just the stars as audience. She looked at him her lips trembling as she tried to stop crying.

"Christine?"

"I love you. I have always loved you, ever since the beginning. Why did you let me go? Why? Is this to torture me? Cause if that is the case you have succeeded." Christine blurted out.

Christine pulled out of his grasp and closer to house. Erik stood there for a moment dumbfounded as her words penetrated his mind. He blinked once then again rapidly as what she said was comprehended. She couldn't say what I think she said. She loves me. She has always loved me. His eyes went wide. He shook his head then looked around for her. He spotted her by white rose brush.

Erik rush over to her pulling her arm back so she turned to look at him. They stared at each other for a moment. Christine bowed her head. Suddenly he crushed his lips to hers in passionate kiss. At that very moment a nightingale took fly piercing the night with it song. His hands tangled in her curly tresses. Her hand wrapped around the back of his neck. He pulled her closer to him. He tried to put all of his feeling for her into the kiss.
