ME NO OWN FAIRY TAIL

Mysterious Boy

A sword had quickly appeared in Erza's hand as she pointed it at the boy in front of her, violet eyes narrowing dangerously.

"Why are you after me?" she snapped, her friends flinching behind her, but the cloaked boy remained stone faced. A few moments of silence went by before any of the two spoke again.

"It was an order." he replied easily as if it was the simplest thing on the earth.

"And you don't know why?" Lucy asked shyly from where she stood behind Erza, peaking around the scarlet haired girl.

"I follow the orders I am given without hesitation." He spoke in a quiet monotone, making the three strain their ears to hear what he said. An especially strong wind blew by, making the hood of his cloak fall and reveal soft spiky pink hair and dull emotionless onyx eyes that bore at the small group in front of him.

"Why don't you just not obey?" Gray asked him, unnerved by the boy's eyes. The cloaked boy frowned and flinched back slightly as if those words had burned him badly.

"I can't." he replied louder than before. Erza lowered her weapon, a scarlet eyebrow raised curiously.

"Why not?" she asked him with a slight tilt of her head.

"It's none of your business." Her eyebrows twitched in annoyance at the answer the pink haired boy had given her.

"If you won't tell us why you cannot obey then, then you can at least give us your real name?" The boy looked to be thinking if he should as his eyes scrunched up a little in thought. Lucy was about to say something when the pink haired boy cut her off.

"No," he replied shortly. Erza raised her sword up to him once more, a small frown on her lips.

"If that is how it's going to be." she said as she charged at the pinkette, sword ready to attack him whenever he was in range. The boy quickly side stepped away from Erza easily and jumped in the air when she tried to swipe at his legs. Erza growled, frustrated that he could dodge her this easily. She made another swing at him with her sword, only for the boy to jump up and land on a thick branch of a tree, out of her range as he dangled his legs looking down at her.

"Aren't you supposed to kill me?" Erza asked him, a frustrated at the swiftness and ease he had in dodging her. No one could've done that before, and here this boy is, dodging her as if she had just picked up the sword for the first time and swung clumsily. "How are you going to do so up there in the tree?" she asked, looking up at him as she lowered her sword.

"Let's play a game." he calmly suggested. "If you win, I'll tell you everything you want to know. If I win…" There was a slight pause. "You'll be no more." Erza pursed her lips, thinking about at. Behind her, Lucy and Gray watched the two apprehensively, unsure to help their scarlet haired friend or not.

Finally, after a few moments of neither talking, Erza spoke.

"What're the rules?" she asked, stepping away from the tree so the boy could hop down. Natsu's lips twitch, as if in a smile or a frown, Erza did not know.

"No magic and no help." he replied, his monotone voice sounding heavier than it was before. Erza sighed, nodding her head hesitantly as her sword disappeared instantly. She glanced behind her towards Lucy and Gray who got the hint and backed away to the edge of the clearing, their eyes never leaving their scarlet haired friend.

"Alright, I agree." she replied, looking back at the pink haired boy who nodded his pink head just slightly.

"Of course." he muttered under his breath.
