Crystal POV
"Today is gonna to be an amazing day, I can feel it."I say quietly to myself as I carefully get out of the bed
It's around 6:00 am here,so I'm the only one awake in the house.I carefully get out of the bed making sure not to wake Lyra up.I walk to the closet change from my pajamas and put some clothes on. Then I carefully tiptoe downstairs.
"Hey Crystal."A voice says the minute I reach the last couple of stairs
"AAAAIIIIEEEEE!"I shout jumping up a couple of stairs
"Calm down Crystal, it's just me."The voice says
"Silver?"I ask rubbing my eyes
"Yes."He says taking a bite out of his cereal
"What are doing up this early?"I ask walking to the table
"I can ask you the same thing."He says pointing his spoon at me.
"True, mind if I join you?"I ask with a smile and he just shrugs.
I make my own bowl of cereal and sit next to him at the table.
"Training."I hear Silver mumble
"What?"
"I was going to go train. Now why are you up?"He says staring at me
"Promise not to tell Lyra?She'll freak out if she knew what I was doing."I ask and he just nods
"I brought my laptop and was gonna get some work done before everyone got up."I say quietly
"You know what I think Crys?"Silver asks after taking a bite
"What?"
"You are too serious."He says and I sweatdrop
"How am I too serious for wanting to work!?"I shout
"First, calm down I don't want you waking up you know who. Second, were on vacation and your working? Do yourself a favor and relax, maybe do something with your sister."He says his finger on my lip the whole time
"Hey, you're the one to talk aren't you up to train?" I ask jokingly
"Also true, Crys do you like bets?"He says with a little grin
"Depends, what's the bet?"
"I won't train if, you won't work. First one to break it pays the other one 200 poker dollars."He says outstanding his hand
"Hm.200 poke dollars?"
"200 pokedollars."
"Fine Silver you have a deal."I say shaking his hand.
"So, what do you do when your not training?"I say taking mine and his bowl and putting it in the sink
"Well, I usually go out for a run. Wanna join me?"
"Sure,but don't cry when you're left in my dust."I say with a smile
"Hmm, well see about that."He says stretching
"Is that a challenge?"I say doing my own stretching
"You could call it that."He says opening the door and we walk outside
"Sounding more and more like my sister. " I say and he rolls his eyes
"Are we doing this or what?"
"Alright, if you're in such a rush to lose, let's go!" I shout and we run off the doorsteps.
Gold POV
Ah, noon the perfect time to get out of bed. You still have 9 hours left of the day and you got some extra hours of sleep.I jump out of bed and notice that Silver's gone. He probably went off to train, dude needs a new hobby.I walk to the bathroom and do my hair, however, it stays its usual explosive way.I put my clothes on and run out the door.
"OW!Watch you're going Silver!"A voice says
"Silver?"A say rubbing my head.
"Huh?Oh, hey Gold my bad."Lyra says blushing a bit while rubbing her head
"Expecting someone else?"I ask with a grin and her blush becomes redder
"No!"
"Whatever you say Lyra."
"Speaking of Silver...Where is he?"She says not looking at me
"Miss your boyfriend?"I say poking her
"He's not my boyfriend,I'm just wondering."She says quietly
"Well, he left probably to go training."
"Really he left too?"
"Too?"I say confused
"Yeah Crystal left."
"Really?"
"Yeah, she wasn't in her bed when I woke up."She says thinking where she should could of ran off too
"Maybe she woke up early and went for a walk."I say snapping my fingers
"Yeah, that sounds like something Crystal would do."She says shrugging
"Sometimes they can be a pain." I say leaning against a wall
"What you mean?"
"For one Silver leaves to go train and Crystal just decides to go without telling anyone."I say rubbing my forehead
"Calm down, even Crystal needs time to herself."She says putting an arm on my shoulder
"What about Silver?"I say giving her a look
"Oh, don't worry about him, I'll handle him. Who does he think he is, leaving me here with you so he can go train all by himself."She says clutching her fist
"You're too funny."I say with a grin
"How am I funny?"She says with a confused face
"Well, Silver is a heartless jerk ,I don't know what you see in him."I say laughing at her
"I don't see anything in him,he's my rival nothing more and nothing less."She says with red checks
"Whatever you say."
"Stupid pervert."She mumbles and I just smile.
"Hey you hungry?"I say hearing a grumbling sound from her stomach
"Exactly, I could go for some food."
"Great!So who's cooking me or you?"I say as we walk to the table.
"Well, you're the second best cook here besides Diamond."
"Really, because Diamond says I cook better than him."I say confidently
"He says that just to be nice."
"Whatever."I say putting on the apron
"So pancakes and eggs?"
"Yes please!"She says licking her lips and grabbing the fork and knife
As I'm working on the pancakes and eggs for Lyra,we hear something loud and fast coming towards the house and I decide to walk towards the window.
"What is it?
"It looks like Silver and Crystal but I can't tell."I say squinting
"Those idiots,go open the door."She says sighing and I nod
"I feel like I'm gonna regret this."I say opening the door only to get trumped by the two
"Ha, take that Silver."Crystal says just oozing confidence.
"Are you kidding I totally beat you."Silver says back his cocky attitude coming out
"Really because I clearly saw you eating my dust."
"That's impossible because you were a mile behind me."
"As much fun the two of must be having,can you do me the pleasure of getting off of me!"I shout and the two look down in confusion
"Gold, why are you down there?"Crystal says getting off
"I'm down here because you and Silver ran me over!"I shout
"Oh sorry."She says with a smile
"It's fine,just some dirt." I say standing up and dusting myself off. "But I do wanna know where you guys ran off to.
" Cerulean."They say nonchalantly
"Cerulean!"Both me and Lyra shout and the two just nod slowly
"You ran to a completely different city?"Lyra asks shocked
"Hey were in Saffron it's not that far."Crystal says nonchalantly
"That's not the point."Lyra says messaging her nose
"Why do you care?"Silver says looking at Lyra
"I don't,it's just off seeing my rival and sister get along so well."She says and Silver rolls his eyes in an I don't care manner
"Didn't I know her longer than you?"
"Why you little."She says rolling up her sleeves
"Hi Gold,is it just me or does it seem?"Crystal says with a smirk
"That Lyra is a bit jealous!?"I shout and we both laugh causing her to get redder
"Are you kidding me, jealous, of what?"She says folding her arms
"You wanted some alone time with your boyfriend."I say and you can see the moment she breaks
"Alright, I'm done."She says storming off but coming back in for food.
"Well, atleast she's taking it better than Silver."Who hasn't said a word but face is more than priceless to me
"Can you two like stop getting along?It's freaking me out."He says a look of disgust on his face
"Is it us getting along that's bothering you?Or the fact that we ruined your little conversation with your girlfriend?"I say with a shit eating grin
"Nope!Done!"He says walking out the house.
"I must say I am impressed not even 12:30 and you got both Silver and Lyra angry."Crystal says putting a hand on my head
"I try, just so you know, i'm mad at you too."I say looking up at her
"Me?What did I do?"She says confused
"You had a date with Silver and not me!"I shout only to get slap to the floor.
"You pervert it wasn't a date. We just stopped for a drink other than that we ran the whole time. How many times am I going to tell you this!"She shouts
"Right you two just spent 6 hours alone?Do I look like a fool?"I say and I see Lyra nod
"Fine, I'll show you. Meet me outside the house at 2:30 and I'll show where we went."She says and I get a big grin
"Alright, Crystal I'll go to this made up cafe with you. However, you must take Lyra and Silver."I say putting my hand out
"Fine."She says shaking it
"Alright see you then SSG."I say getting up from the floor and running out the room and turning a corner.
"Crystal, did you just hear what you said?"Lyra ask
"No, what did I say?"
"You practically just asked Gold on a date."She says and Crystal just laughs
"No i didn't...Wait a . .NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!"She says dropping to the floor and I just laugh.I got a date with SSG.
Silver Pov
That's it!First, I get accused of going on a date with Crystal and now I have to unwillingly walk back to Cerulean. Not to make matters worst pigtails is avoiding me. Not that I care mind you. I just find it odd to see her act like I don't exist. Usually, she always stalking me trying to get me to open up. Every time I try to say something to her she turns her back on me. Ugh, this is so stupid! Why do i care that she's ignoring me so much!
"Hey, Silver you alright."Crystal says worriedly
"Yeah,why?"I say confused
"Well, you sorta just started beating your head for no reason."She says backing away a bit
"I am?"I say not even noticing there's some blood on my head.
"You know you should stop doing that. That's a very good way to lose brain cells."Krys say giving me a lecture
"Let him lose them, it's not like he using them."Lyra says not even turning around to face us
"Whats that suppose to mean?!"I shout at her but she doesn't seem to care
"I would tell you but you're too stupid to understand."She says with a tone
"What is your problem!?What did i do to you to make you so angry!?"I say running up to her
"Who said i'm angry?"She says calmly
"No one said anything but I can tell by your voice that your angry."I say grabbing her wrist
"Just leave me be Silver."She says staring into my eyes and i let her go
"Look whatever I did to you I'm...Sorry."I say choking a bit
"Wait did Silver just apologize?"Gold says shocked
"As sweet as it is to hear the great Silver apologize gonna take more than that."She says stubbornly
"What I gotta do,then."I ask and she smirks
"Take me to get some lunch."
"Lunch?You want me to take you out to get some lunch?" I ask and she nods "Fine."I say smiling
"Oh look at that Sliver's taking Lyra on a d-"
"Not now Gold!"I shout
"Why are you trying so hard to get me back on your side?"She says with a knowing grin
"I live with you,I think it's for the best i get you back on my side as soon as possible if that's the case."I say smirking
"That's not what I think~." She says in a sing song voice "I think you have a -
"Crush!"Gold and Crystal shouts
"Both of you shut it!"I shout at them
"Well, he didn't deny it."Crystal says putting a hand on Lyra
"Hate,all of my hate."I say hiding my blush as the others laugh at me
Lyra Pov
Well, that's true he didn't deny it. Maybe Silver does like me more than i thought or he was just annoyed at Gold and Crystal constant teasing.I did see something in his eyes a look I never seen before. Silver is an odd person to pinpoint his emotions but I plan to change that soon.
"So Crystal how about me and you go to the 'cafe' you and Silver went to."Gold says pointing air quotes on the cafe.
"We did just go to a café and fine come with me."Crystal says storming away
"She makes this to easy."Gold whispers in my ear before following Crystal while laughing
"There so cute."I say gushing and Silver rolls his eyes
"There as cute as two feebas making out in a swamp."
"Do you always have to be such a horrible person?"I say laughing a bit at the remark
"If i wasn't,you'd think there's something wrong with me."
"That would imply that theres not already stuff wrong with you."I say and he huffs a bit
"True."He says with a small smile "So,whatcha hungry for?"He asks and i think about
"Pizza."
"Pizza?That's it?"I expected something more expensive knowing you." He says and I skip ahead happily
"Maybe you don't know me as well as you thought."
"Maybe I don't."He mumbles to himself thinking I don't hear him
"Hey get back here you thief!"We hear a voice scream
"Thief?Silver,what did you do."I say glaring at him
"How could I have done something if I been with you all day."He says back and I blush in embarrassment
Before I can say something back,a tall man dressed in all purple and very strange mustache runs past us with a black suitcase in his hands. Running behind him was a couple of kids,who stop running in front of us all tuckered out.
"What's...wrong...with...you guys."One kid dressed in red says in between breaths
"Yeah,didn't you hear us scream thief!"Another kid says
"Wait,you kids were the ones screaming?"
"Yeah,they guy stole are Pokemon."A chubby kid says
"How?"Silver asks a bit annoyed for some reason
"He told us,that he can make rare candies to make our Pokemon stronger. All we had to do was put them in his suitcase and once he closed it and put the code on it,and the energy from our Pokemon would make rare candy." A little black girl says angrily
"And you guys believed him?"I ask and the group of kids nodded
"So we did what he said and put our poke balls in his suitcase. However once we did he toke off running,which lead us here."The boy in the red says and I sigh
"That was a very dumb thing to do." I say scolding them "Haven't your parents told you not to talk to strangers,let alone trust them. Now he's gone with your Pokemon."I say and they all hang their head in shame
"We just wanted stronger Pokemon."The chubby kid says playing with a rock awkwardly
"And now you don't have any Pokemon. Can you believe this Silver...Silver?"I say turning my head towards his direction only to see that he has started walking"Silver!Where are you going!Stay here."I say to the kids before running to catch with Silver
"You're done being your sister?"He asks sarcastically and I glare at him
"Wanna explain to me what that was all about?"I ask and he just looks at me with those cold silver eyes and I feel a chill on my spine
"I'm getting those kids Pokemon back."
"How,you don't know where that guy ran off too?"I ask and he scoffs
"Once a thief,always a thief,I know this region like the back of my hand. Look at the pace he was going he couldn't have got that far."He says determination in his voice
"Silver,as cool as it is seeing see you actually show emotion,it's not like you to care about what happens to other people Pokemon.I'm glad you're doing the right thing,but what's on your mind?
He just looks at me and speeds off and I sigh
"So much for my date."I say to myself before following behind him.
Crystal POV
Stupid gold thinking I'm a liar.I sure did show him not only did I take him to the café I offered to pay...Wait a minute...
"Dang!"I shout hitting my head against the table
"You alright SSG?"Gold asks looking up from the menu.
"I just realized I have to pay for this."I say dragging my hand across my face
"Really!It took you this long to realize that?"He says laughing loudly which gives us a few stares.
"Shut it!"I say glaring at him
"I mean aren't you supposed to be the smart one out of the 4 of us?"
"S-Shut up."I say feeling some heat rush on some face
"You know I really enjoy seeing that red rush to your face makes me feel achieved."He says laughing a bit
"Why?"
"It just shows that I'm winning you over."He says now with a huge grin
"First of all your not winning me over. The day i ever like you is the day grumpigs fly."
"So there's a chance?"
"Ugh, you're so immature."
"You know I try."He says winking
"Stop!That's not cute at all."
"You know if you keep talking down like this your never going to get a boyfriend."He says leaning back in his chair
"Fine with me i don't need a boyfriend especially one that's a clown."I say storming away form the table.
"Come on SSG it was just a joke...Kris...Crystal!"He shouts running behind me only to get his face in by the girl's bathroom door
He's so annoying, always with the jokes and trying to get in some girls you know what I don't get,what did I do to deserve his harassment? All i do is get up and go to work but yet he finds a reason to always bother me. Rather it's about dates,girls,skateboarding, or music he tells me everything.I couldn't count how many times I wanted to break my clipboard over his head because he would go on and on about pointless nonsense. It's just annoying and it doesn't help that when he smiles he's super cute so I can't stay mad...forget I thought that.
"Alright, Crystal get a grip of moment you let him believe he got in your head your done for."I splashing water on my face.I dry up and walk back out the door.
"Crystal!"Gold says with a big smile on his face "I just wanted to apologize."He says quickly but I put my hand up
"Don't sweat it Gold,I overreacted let's just order some food shall we." I say and he breathes a sigh of relief.
There's an awkward moment of silence as we look over the menu.I look up and seeing him staring at me and it kinda creeps me out
"Um,you alright there Gold?"I say and he chuckles to himself
"I just can't believe it."
"Believe what?"
"I'm on a date with Crystal,like I never thought I would see the day."He says and I roll my eyes ignoring the red rushing to my face
"It's not a date,if anything its two friends hanging out."I say back and he scoffs at this
"You may look at it that way,but I dont. At the end of this date you're gonna see me in a completely different way."He says with a smile
"If you say so."I say before closing my menu. "So, I think I'm just gonna get a small espresso,you?
"Probably just a cappuccino,something I'm used too."He says closing his menu and putting it on top of mine.
"Aren't you already filled with energy?"I say and he smirks
"You can never have enough energy babe."He says and i choose to ignore the fact he just called me babe
"If coffee is the reason you're so hyper I'm gonna start banning it in the house."I say and he rolls his eyes as he hands the waiter are menus with our orders
"You are acting like I won't just sneak some in."He says back
"I got the vision like a staraptor,Gold you wouldn't get past the door."I say and he and laughs
"Is that a challenge?"He says and I shrug smugly
"Perhaps."I say and he gives me a competitive smile
"Oh, I like competitive Crystal."He says glaring at me and I smirk back
"You won't for very long."I say glaring back
"Crystal?Is that you?"I hear a voice ask breaking me and gold from our staring contest
"Yes,how I may I help you? I ask turning around only to see Misty in her bikini glory in front of us "Misty!"I shout happily
"Nice to know you still remember know since you never visit anymore"She says flashing me a smile
"I'm always trying to visit but you know how work is."I say and she rolls her eyes
"No, I know how work is for normal how work is for Crystal."She says before taking a seat next to Gold
"I work just as much as normal people."
"Yeah you work as much as three normal people, anyway what brings you to my neck of the woods?" She asks and Gold raises his hand
"Me."He says with a grin
"I thought you hated him."She says bluntly and Gold puts a hand over his heart.
"I'll let you know that I and SSG are happily in love."He says and I feel my face light up after that one.
"What we're not dating!"I shout
"But we are in love?"He says and I facepalm
"Gold,go check on our coffee or something while me and Misty catch up."He gives me a look before rolling his eyes
"Whatever."He says jumping over Misty and walking to the counter.
"So,how have things been down in Cerulean?" I ask and she shrugs
"Same old,same old for the most part. Being one of the best trainers in your region doesn't give you most to strive for but you know how that feels."
"I wish I could say that,I would happily switch lives with you for at least one day of peace and quiet."I say and she laughs
"It's only been a week since you and the other dex holders been in Kanto right?They couldn't have gotten on your nerves that bad."She says back and I shot her a face
"You would think that wouldn't you?"I ask and she nods "Well in one week,Ruby and Sapphire have caught me up till midnight, whoever moved Blue,Green, and Red into one home doesn't really care for the rest of us, and finally Black needs a muzzle."I say using my fingers for a visual aid
"That bad huh?"She ask and I shrug
"I wouldn't say bad,I mean I expected this,but nothing can prepare you for their craziness."I say and she laughs
"So how're things back at your place?Surprise to see you with a full head of hair still."
"It's not that bad,Silver is really nice and easy to live with,it's the other two that drive me crazy."I say and she laughs
"Your sister has always been a character,and I can just imagine how bad she must be now that she has Gold to bounce her ideas off of."She says and I nod
"I love her, I really do,but lately she's been getting on my nerves,especially when it comes to Gold."I say and she raises an eyebrow
"You really haven't admitted your feelings to him?"She ask and I roll my eyes
"What's there to admit?"
"Your so naive Krys."She says and I roll my eyes "Speaking of Gold,where is he shouldn't he be back with y'all drinks right?"
"Miss me ladies?"Gold says pool cue in hand with a tray with our drinks on top.
"Gold?What are you doing?"In a bit of a frightened voice
"Showing off my amazing pool balancing skills."He says spinning the cue on his index drinks starting to tip over a bit
"Gold,be careful."I say and he rolls his eyes
"Come on now SSG." He says throwing the cue between his hand "What could possibly go wro-" He says as his right-hand misses the cue and the tray tips over and lands all over me
"Ouch,that's gonna leave some burns."Misty says wincing at the sight of me.
"Ugh,Gold you idiot! I told you to be careful!I shout moving some now wet bangs from my eyes.
"It was a mistake."He says panicked "Here,I'll run and go get you some towels."
"Leave it,This was a mistake." I say and he just looks extremely depressed after those words. "Let's just go find Silver and Lyra,so I can forget this day."
"Alright."He says quietly,putting his hands in his jacket
"I'll text you later Misty."I say getting up and leaving some money
"Um yeah,Talk to you later."She says and i walk with Gold following behind me slumped
Silver POV
"How many times are you gonna ask me this dumb question?"
"Until you give me an answer." Lyra replies back, a bit behind me since I'm walking a faster pace than her.
"I don't get why you're upset that I'm doing the right thing."
"I'm not upset I'm intrigued, the Silver I know doesn't care about people, let alone kids."She says back and those words makes me stop in my tracks
"Maybe you don't know me as well as you thought." I say back with a smirk
"Maybe, I don't."She mumbles back and that felt way better than It should've "So, what's the plan?"She says quietly
"We the find guy, we beat him, we get the kids their Pokemon's back, and then we go get our pizza." I say and her face lights up
"Here I was thinking you forget."She says and I laugh to myself quietly
"That was the only reason I came all the way here."I say back and she smirks
"So I was the only reason you came here, knew you cared about me."She says and i roll my eyes a light pink coming to my face
"Let's focus on the mission, If I remembered correctly this shortcut leads to the main exit to the city." I say stopping, grabbing Lyra and hiding behind a tree. "Which means are little criminal should be turning that corner in 3,2,1."I say and right on cue our criminal turns the corner
Getting a better look at him, he's a lot more bizarre looking than I thought. He has a strange mustache it was long, skinny, and somehow pointed straight up. He was dressed in all purple with some strange brown pointed boots. He looks like a bad video game character.
"Can we speed this up?That guy gives me the creeps."Lyra says and i nod
"Yeah, the quicker the better."I say reaching towards my pocket and grabbing Weavile's ball
"I got this, I've always been the faster worker between us."Lyra says releasing her Flareon
"Or,"I say grabbing her before she blows her cover. "You distract him, while me and weavile go grab the suitcase." I say and she rolls her eyes
"I mean sure if you wanna be boring."She says and I wink at her and she nods before walking up to the guy casually
"Why do I even bother?"I ask myself releasing Weavile and we slowly climb the tree
"So, I'm gonna say this one me the suitcase and apologize to those kids that you tricked and nobody has to get hurt." She says and the guy just stares at her
"And you are?"The guy ask while me and Weavile jump from the tree to a nearby house
"Just a person trying to do good in life, unlike you."She says with a glare
"Ever heard the saying bad things happen to good people?" He says and she rolls her eyes
"Ever hear the story of the girl who put her size 7 shoe down a criminal throat."She says and I laugh, I always did love her fire
"Oh, big talk coming from 5'5 girl."He says and she says laughs a bit
"Big talk coming from a middle aged loser."Lyra says and the guy laughs a little
"You little lady have a lot of fire in you."He says while me and Weavile hop from the building and tip toe towards the suitcase.
"The name is Lyra,I recommend you remember it."She says and the guy puts the suitcase on the ground to crack his knuckles
"So we doing this little lady or what?"
"Sure, Just let me stretch."She says bending over and touching her to grab a pile of dirt and throw in the guys face. "Silver!"
"On it!" I shout grabbing the suitcase "Weavile, Ice Shard!" I shout grabbing Lyra's hand and high tailing it
I turn my head and see that Weavile trapped the guy in an Ice shard for the best, he won't be getting too run for a bit but after we gain a sizeable difference from him we decide to walk back to the kids.
"Hey Silver, can I ask you something?"Lyra ask her hands behind her head
"You're gonna ask me anyway despite my answer."I say and she shrugs
"I just wanna know the real reason why you care so much about these kids?" She says and I sigh
"Look, I just don't like people picking on kids."
"How come?"She shoots back
"I didn't get much of a childhood because of the situation I was in. I don't know, I just feel like it's my duty to help whenever I can. Even if it's something as simple getting back some stolen Pokemon."I say twirling the suitcase around my hand.
"That's surprising human of you."She says back in I roll my eyes
"Dont get used to it."I say with a sly smile and she lightly punches me in the arm.
"Jerk."
"It's my middle name."I say and we both laugh."So how about we return the kids there pokemon and we go get that pizza?"I say and she nods and we walk to together side-by-side in oddly peaceful silence.
Gold POV
"Really where could they have gone?"Crystal ask I assume to no one in particular out loud
"Knowing Silver probably somewhere illegal."I say back and she rolls her eyes
"You're still following me?"She ask in a bit of an irritated tone
"Can you please stop being mad at me?"I shoot back and I let out an irritated groan.
"This whole day has been a mess Gold, just so happens you're the cause of it all."I say and he sighs
"Look Crystal I-"
"Well, Well, Well, do my eyes deceive me." A voice says getting my attention and to my annoyance
"Oh, you gotta be kidding me."I say pinching the bridge of my nose angrily.
"Euscine!"Crystal shouts before hugging him "What you doing all the way over here in Kanto.
"Just taking a little break from all the research, thought I'd come visit some old friends." He says back and I roll back
"Thought your only friend was that 4 legged beast you chase all the time."I shout back and he snickers a bit
"Hows your inferiority complex Gold. "He shoots back and I glare back.
"Anyway, it's always nice to see you."Crystal says stepping in front of me.
"No, No the pleasure's is all I must ask what are the two of you doing here in Kanto?"
"Oh yeah, the professors thought it would be a good idea if all the dex holders got to know each other they bought out a Cul-De-Sac in Saffron and we all moved in."
"Team bonding, such a good isn't there 3 dex holders in Johto?Where's your friend, um what's his name now?Oh yes, Silver." He says snapping his fingers
"Oh, we were just looking for Silver and my sister before we ran into you."Crystal says and I ever so roughly move her head aside.
"So if you could please move, so we can get back to that, that would fantastic." I say and he laughs
"I love your jealousy Gold, always such a riot."He says wiping a tear from his eye and I growl
"I do not care for you in the slightest."I say back while he gains his composure.
"But now that you mention it, I did see a red headed boy chasing a purple hated person with a girl in a white hat chasing after them.I'm guessing there with you."He says pointing at us and Crystal sighs
"Why can't I ever have a regular day with these people."
"Because you love us."I say and she glares at me
"Still not talking to you."She says and I sigh
"Come on,I said sorry like a thousand times."
"Actually that was another question I was meaning to ask you, what happened to your outfit, your usually a lot more...Crystal than this?"He says finding a lack of a better word
"This idiot, spilled my espresso on my head."She says putting my in a headlock
"Final question, I swear, but how in the world did Gold end up with a Pokedex." He says and I feel the whole world step.
"What do you mean?"Crystal asks
"I mean no disrespect to you Gold and everything you've done."
"So what do you mean?"I say getting out of Crystal grip.
"I mean compared to everyone else, aren't you kinda I don't know a pain? I mean yeah you saved the world, but so did the others. Yeah, you're a good trainer but so are the others and in some cases aren't they more skilled than you?There Presentable like Oak loves showing off the Kanto dex holders, Elm never shows you off, doesn't that mean he doesn't care for you. Like I said no disrespect but it seems like your more trouble than your worth." He says and I laugh
"Are you done?"I ask and he nods
"Yeah, like I said no harsh feelings right G-" His Sentence is cut short by my fist connecting to his chin.
"Gold!"Crystal shouts rushing to the guy, not that I care much as I storm off
Crystal POV
"I'll give the boy this, he got one hell of a punch."Euscine says rubbing his jaw
"Why did you provoke him like that?You how Gold gets, now I gotta go yell at him and-"
"Crystal do you really not see it?"He asks cutting me off mid sentence
"See what?"I ask and gets on his feet dusting himself off
"Something is wrong with your friend, more than usual anyway." he says and I raise an eyebrow
"What are you talking about?"
"Something about him felt different than the last time I saw him. He felt defeated?If that's the right word I'm looking for."
"Ok you're losing me, what are you talking about."I ask and he just laughs
"Such a bright but naive young lady you are Crystal. Go talk to your friend." He says turning his back and walking away "Tell him I apologize by the way. Till we meet again." He says waving his hand lazily.
"Again, I'm the only sane one in this world full of confusing and irritating people." I say before sighing "Let me go find Gold, he couldn't have gotten that far."
I wonder around a bit, I hear some screaming and what sounds like ice crashing but choose to ignore it.I eventually end up at the nugget bridge where I see Gold skipping rocks
"Finally done patching your friend up?" He says a bit bitterly before tossing another stone
"Nah, I got lost looking for you." I say before taking a seat. "So, what's wrong?"
"Don't know what you're talking about."He says before tossing another stone.
"Come on now Gold, your acting a lot different. Your're more annoying than usual."I say and he cracks a small smile
"Guess some things just don't change right?" He says sighing and I raise an eyebrow
"What do you mean?"
"Crystal, I really wanted this date to go well, more than you could actually imagine."
"Really?That's what your upset about a bad date?Gold, one bad day isn't the end of the-"
"I wasn't done yet."He says cutting me off "I really wanted this to go well, because well it just had too."He says a bit more anger in his voice
"Calm down and explain Gold."I say laughing a bit and he laughs a bit too
"Look I wanted to really impress you today.I wanted you to see me in the same light that I see you. But the only thing I manage to do was mess it up. Look I know a lot of people feel like I don't deserve this Pokedex and at times it feels like there right."
"Gold I-"
"Not done yet. Look I know what Oak said but I can't stop those thoughts of self-doubt from crawling into my mind.I'm nowhere near as good of a trainer as Red, Green, Sapphire, or even Black. I don't share the same work ethic as you, Silver, Ruby, Platinum or White. Heck, all things considered, Lyra deserves one of these more than I do. And I just know if I think like this, others think like this, you think like this. Usually I'm able to just ignore this, you know just push this aside, it's just some bad thoughts. But recently ever since we all moved into together its been harder and harder especially knowing that these kids younger than you, have done things you've done but at a younger age and better. It's just so, I don't know annoying so I've just decided to be my regular self but times 100, rather you guys see me as this annoying kid than someone who doesn't deserve to be there with you all."He says before taking a long sigh and laying on his back "I wanted this day to go well so you can see me in the same light I see you, someone great, someone to admire, someone worthy of being a dex holder."
"Gold, look-"
"Crystal, I know what you're gonna say and please don't say let me think -"
"Stop cutting me off and let me talk Gold."I say putting my hand over his "Look, yes I argue with you a lot, yes you annoy me a lot, yes there has been more than one instance where I question how you got a pokedex. But I always regret those things because that's just how you are. Your Gold Ethan Hibiki you came out the womb annoying." I say and he laughs a bit at that one. "But you're my friend and I care about you and yeah you're not as talented as the others, who cares, your fine the way you are and nothing is gonna change the way I see you. Your that annoying kid who skateboarded into my life and changed it for the better. And let's make a deal, if you try to be less annoying and just be happy being you, I'll go on a real date with you. No Misty, no Lyra or Silver, no Euscine just me and you."
"Hm, anywhere I like?"He says and I nod
"Anywhere you want, just talk to me when you start having these thoughts alright?"I say with a hand extended.
"Deal." He says shaking my hand
"There you guys are!"A voice shouts and we turn our heads to see Lyra and Silver
"Oh hey guys were just heading back to the city."I say back before standing up and dusting myself off
"What were you two doing back here, all by yourselves." Lyra says a bit incestually
"I think the better question is how did y'all little pizza date go?"Gold shots back and the two engage in a battle of words
"Surprise you still have a full head of hair."Silver says leaning on the railing on the bridge next to me
"Funny, could say the same to you."I shoot back
"Actually, I had a lot of fun today."He says with a bit of pink on his face
"Somebody's in love~." I say in a sing-song voice and he glares at me
"You know nothing is stopping me from throwing you into this river."He says and I roll my eyes.
"Whatever Silver, but yeah all things considered I had fun."I say and he raises an eyebrow
"Really, you had fun with Gold?" He says and i nod
"Maybe where both just crazy Silver."I say looking at Gold runs away from Lyra. Silver chuckles under his breath at the sight
"Yeah,maybe we are crazy."
If the last chapter was my least favorite chapter from the orignal story,this chapter would've been my second. It was needlessly long and had needless drama. So this time i tried to shorten it and add more character development. Now when i write a chapter,i write it like im watching a cartoon or sitcom. There's a main plot aka your plot A,in this chapter it was the Gold and Crystal storyline. And a plot B,in this chapter it was the Silver and Lyra storyline. Thats what i attempted to do here.I wanted the A plot to focus more on Crystal and Gold relationship because in terms of long term relationships there relationship is one of few couples i have both the most and least ideas for,so i want to build there relationship up. You see Gold likes Crystal or atleast the idea of Crystal, this perfect being that cant be touch. And Crystal likes Gold but find him to be a very annoying this chapter,i tried to play up on that part of crystal's mindset. You see Gold was only trying to have a good date with Crystal and everytime he tried someone butted in(Misty and Euscine), causing him to either get jealous and try to get her attention back on him,which ended up failing. Another plot point that will be brought up in future chapters will be Gold's inferiority complex,i was rereading the G/S/C chapters of the manga and Gold's freak out to not having a title like the others had me thinking. Would he really get over this?Especially when his juniors seem to be improving more and more and doing more impressive feats than he could ever imagine.I picture that Gold hides his insecurities by being childish,by being a jerk,by well being Gold but multiplying it. And the fact that he told Crystal this shows how much he trust Crystal,and knowing Crystal she will notice this and take a chance in trying to know the real Gold. Now in the B plot,its Lyra trying to get to know the real Silver. And yeah she doesnt really get her answer,but she finds out that he's more human than she thought. And that his past does effect the way he acts but he does have a moral compass. And the fact he shared that with Lyra shows that he trust Lyra alot more than she thinks.
TLDR:The guys show the girls there's more to them than what they think
