Chapter 4:

Kyo Pov:

Naked.

That was all that was going through my mind as I faced the two vampires.

I was naked.

And there were two bloodsuckers in front of me. I clicked my tongue, I was careless! My holster was back at the cabin.

I take short breaths, calming myself, I may not be armed but I wasn't weakened.

My nudeness wasn't bothering me as much as I thought it would. After all it was a sensation I was used too when I bathed with him. But he's not here now so it made a tremendous difference.

I glanced at the two who were whispering to one another. One looking frustrated enough that she bared her fangs at me, the other.. well who cared about him.

How exactly did I end up like this?

Man this was a day. One that should never had happened. I thought back to how it all began.

I was going about my business. I woke at 1 PM sharp and went to the agency.

The town streets crowded with booths and shops that opened earlier that day. Sensei would be coming back after a week or so apparently. I turned the heavy door handle down.

Locked.

Sighing I turned the corner down the block to grab a seat at the nearby bench. I watched as children played, their mother's at their side. I thought about anything I had left unfinished. I hadn't received any important assignments, what was there to do. School.

I remembered receiving a package with a sealed letter at the center.

It's me! Do you remember me? Of course you do! I told you that I had planned to create a place so that humans and vampires could coexist with one another so... I did! I am now the proud headmaster of Cross Academy! I've already made arrangements to have you picked up and begin a first term here. OH! Don't worry were you'll be staying, as my precious son you'll be enjoying my company at the Headmaster's residence. And no, you do not have a choice. I hope we can catch up.

Now that I thought about it, wasn't the school miles away from town. Would it be alright for me to just leave? No. This wasn't my home, it would be fine.

At that I stood, today was actually I nice day. Maybe a swim wouldn't hurt.

I glared at her.

"Well bloodsucker I live nearby and I always come here, so who are you to question me."

I picked up my clothes redressing and moving quickly, ready to leave and not sparing a passing glance at the two. I stop involuntarily as I felt something cold around my hand.

"Wha-"

"Hello Kyo, its good to see you again. There's no need to leave. In fact why don't you join us for our ride? It's the least I could do to thank you for helping me Yesterday. This time I don't plan on letting you go until you agree."

I turned to gape at the smirking fiend. Why that….. If I had my bloody rose i'd...

"Fine. Now let go of me."

I look at him provocatively, I won't lose. As soon as his grip loosened I pulled my hand back.

"Yuki help me saddle up."

I watched as the girl called out, Sohma helping her with her problem.

"Ms Honda it's a long walk so you go on ahead, Kyo will ride with me."

What .Did .He . Say.

I swear I will kill him as soon as I get the chance.

We have a small staring contest, he's not going to let this go.

Sigh.

Fine. I remembered the times master and I would go riding, the horse was a familiar creature. One that I actually liked. I had my hand set out to climb on but it was pushed to the side.

"Leave that to me."

I watched him encircle my waist lifting me up.

I looked down at him.

"I could've done that without your help."

I spat at him, he shook his head not saying a word as he leapt up in a flash. I felt his hands move around me to grab the reins. With a sharp nudge the horse whinnied and we were off.

What I missed was the girl watching in the guidelines grimacing and following in suit.

Halfway through I spotted the cottage. I just had to get off, this pervert was getting on my nerves!

"You- Will you get your hands of me!"

I scowled as I rotated my head to peer at him. Sohma, witnessing this simply sniggered.

"This is my stop, could you let me down?"

I felt him flinch at my tone. I was too tired to argue with him. I hear his feet thump the ground. He takes my hand helping me down.

"Kyo? What's wrong?"

I examine him nearly falling back at the expression. Was he worried? I raised a palm at him.

"Save it. Tired."

Turning I felt his burning stare. I open the wooden door slipping to the ground as soon as it was closed. So tired…

Yuki Pov:

I watched the retreating orangette figure. I felt, odd. Anxious to put it in words.

"Yuki, is everything alright? It's almost dawn, we should head back."

I move back, joining Noir and Tohru, she was right.

"Yes, I agree."

Hopping on his back I place a kick dashing off.

"Yuki, wait for me!"

I ushered the horse to a stop the carriage in front. I check to make sure Tohru was behind me, good. Nodding at her I unsaddled, assisting her down. I scan for the servants. One taking the three horses, the other holding the door open. Nodding we enter, I hear the coachmen lead us into the road clearing.

"Yuki, did you have a good time?"

I observed as she leaned in closer. Trivial. I focused my gaze at the night sky beginning to fade into a huish blue.

I caught the well known sight of the castle outward.

"Well Ms. Honda, this would be my stop. I've instructed the driver to escort you back home."

Without giving her a chance I exited the transporter quickly, the coachmen not needed. With that I move past the servant opening the heavy gates. Striding past the footbridges and doors. I entered the main hall. Going to the parlor I catch a seat at a nearby love seat. Mother waiting at the fireplace.

"Yuki dear, I have great news! Your letter for Cross Academy has just arrived! I've had your clothes packed and a car waiting downstairs."

"Where's father?"

I asked. Fatigue consuming me as I straightened myself. I couldn't stand to show any weakness to anyone. As the Pureblood King my reputation had to be upheld.

"He's having a meeting with the council as of now."

I watch her pout, childish. I thought. Giving her a short embrace.

"I see. Well then I'm off."

Retracing my steps I'm led to the parked car that extended down the courtyard. The driver opening the door. I gained access of the roomed vehicle, sitting on the far left making sure the curtain is pulled out, separating the driver and the rest of the car. I leaned back on the plush seats resting an elbow on one of the tinted windows.

I guess it would be goodbye for now my hunter.

That was my last thought as the tires screeched signaling departure, Cross Academy it's destination.

I've been working on my writing. Is it to everyone's liking? There are more chapters on the way and I hope that it won't take me another year this time.
