It's been years since I've updated this story but I still love this idea so there will be more to come! Enjoy!

The next two weeks went without much hassle. Scorpius beat Rose on the transfiguration test, but they had tied on the potions essay and the charms test so she was feeling okay about it. The halls were getting crazier as the first quidditch match of the season was approaching. James got detention for hexing Slytherin's keeper, and Lily was in the hospital wing after their beaters got to her. Of course they were in worse condition than Lily. Rose and Scorpius shot mad glances at one another through their classes, and cursed at each other in the halls, but mostly stayed out of the fray.

The worst was after herbology the day before the match. Rose had beaten Scorpius on a test for the first time since Scorpius had started his game, and he wasn't too thrilled.

"Mad that I finally won Malfoy?" she taunted.

"Nope, because I know it was just a fluke. You can't remain the best while I'm around." Had had moved into her personal space as he said it, so she shoved him away and pulled out her wand. She was so tired of dealing with him, exhausted from the games going on in her head to determine her true motives for hating him. She just wanted him to go away.

Scorpius glanced at the wand now pointed directly at him. It was sparking a bit, and although he knew he shouldn't, he couldn't help but egg her on a bit. He gracefully slid his wand out of his sleeve. "If you want a real wand, you should check out mine," he said, knowing the way she would take it.

"Go to hell Malfoy!" she yelled, red sparks pouring out of her wand. As she turned away from him a stray spark landed on his pant leg and singed a small hole.

"Fuck Weasley! That's gonna cost you."

"Cost me what? You couldn't do anything! Until this year you were too stupid to even pass your classes. Get out of here before you get hurt!"

"Hurt by a weasel? Yea right!" he laughed as he dodged the red stunning spell that Rose sent at him. A jet of red light flew out of his wand at her, but she blocked it.

By this time Professor Longbottom had come out to see what the commotion was. Hexes and curses were flying around the greenhouse and neither combatant was gaining any ground. "Expelliarmus!" and both wands flew out of their owner's hands and Neville caught them swiftly. Rose and Scorpius continued screaming at one another until, "SILENCE! What the devil is going on here?"

The two students just glared at each other and said nothing. "Fine, detention for both of you, Monday night. You'll be cleaning the greenhouses. Any more fighting and I'll report it to the headmistress."

"Yes professor." They both said automatically. After grabbing their wands Scorpius headed towards the dungeon and Rose walked to the Great Hall where she was supposed to be meeting Lily. When Rose finally got there, Lily was all bubbly about the new guy she was dating.

"Monday night Terry is taking me on a romantic stroll through the grounds. Ohh! He even knows a secret passageway to Hogsmeade! You should grab Connor and come with us, I'm sure Terry won't mind doubling!" Lily love to try to hook Rose up with guys, but Connor McMillian was the most boring Hufflepuffshe had ever met.

"No thanks, he's not my type. Plus I have detention Monday night anyway." She responded, angrily remembering the encounter from before.

"Detention?What for?"

"Fighting." Rose said nonchalantly.

"With Slytherin?"

"Yep, their seeker." Rose said, not willing to actually say his name.

"Well that's okay then." Lilly stated. They didn't sit with Albus today, preferring to sit with their team. Rose recounted the edited version of her fight to the whole team's amusement.

Scorpius was actually looking forward to beating Rose at quidditch and then terrorizing her in detention. He kept thinking back to the fight, and how hot she had looked, eyes blazing in ager, red hair flying about as she did everything in her power to hurt him. He had never seen her duel before, and he hadn't expected her to be so aggressive. It made him wonder how aggressive she might be elsewhere.

Everyone from Gryffindor was talking about the many fights that had occurred. Every team member had gotten into at least one fight, and besides Lily, they had all fought the Slytherin who played their position. The Gryffindor beaters had taken on the Slytherin beaters in an attempt to protect Lily, and James had fought with their keeper. Each chaser had taken on Slytherin's three, three on one each time. Luckily when they ganged up on little Hugo, Lily walked by just in time to help him out. Hugo wasn't a great fighter, but he was a damn good chaser.

The most even fight had definitely been Rose and Scorpius. Everyone was excited to hear about it, and proud of Rose for finally standing up to him. The story traveled through the great hall quickly, and everyone was excited to see who would emerge victorious tomorrow.
