Chapter 4: Delivery of Piles.
Arwen left and use again Model A to go around. Hopefully she can make it to the destination using A-trans. This time it was way more dangerous than before. Arwen switch from Copy H to Copy F. She cleared the way with the fire bombs. She continued her way trying to go to the destination. She manage get to the building. She de-merges and walked up to the building. A tall reploid that tower her looked at Arwen.
"WHAT DO YOU WANT," it said in a loud voice that almost made Arwen tremble. The reploid was in dark blue wolf like skin. It reminds Arwen of several pseudoroids of ancient times where her family had to fight not to mention the maverick attacks of year 21XX. The wolf like reploid wore a business suit of black.
"I ha-have a package for you," said Arwen as she is imitated from the huge reploid. The huge reploid took the package and signed his name.
"Here you go. 300 E-Crystals for you," said the reploid as he closed the door. Arwen sighed in a deep breath. Now getting back to Giro Express will be a challenge since she has to go through mavericks to get there. She went to use Model A again but this time she uses Copy P. She raced out there and throw few shurikens toward the mavericks as she manage to get out of Mavericks range. She then went to use Copy H. She flew the rest of the way. She landed behind the store and de merge. Time 5:20 PM. Arwen sighed as she made it back 20 minutes. She opens the but, to her surprised there is 8 packages in front. Arwen picks up the packages and sighed. Thank goodness most were not timed as she puts them on the counter. Then she looked at the last one. It was timed. 6:30 PM. Arwen looked at it panicking. Just then she heard two motorcycles came in the same time.
"Well the shop is closed at least you told Arwen that," said Jean as her and Rondae has the keys and open up the shop and closed it. To their surprised, they see Arwen moving packages.
"Arwen, did Rondae told you that we are not delivering packages," said Jean. Arwen looked at Jean.
"The person who brought these came like around 4:59 when I came back from my walk. She didn't know that the shop was still open and I brought them in. I did not get the chance to tell her that she can leave it in the front desk. I spend 20 minutes moving them to the front desk. I am separating them for tomorrow. What is fragile and what is not," said Arwen. Rondae and Jean could not believe how responsible Arwen is in the shop.
"Keep it up we may ended up hiring you," said Jean. Rondae went to his laboratory.
"I wish not to be disturbed," said Rondae as he closed the door. Jean sighed and looked at Arwen.
"Here let me help you out. So that means Rondae and I have many delivery by tomorrow," said Jean as she looked at one. She has a frustrated look.
"You got to be kidding. We did warn him that we are not delivering anything past 5:00 PM," said Jean.
"I notice that too. That is why I have it separated from the rest," said Arwen. Jean looked at Arwen.
"Ok well I let you continue and deliver this one. This is the last time I am this generous to him. I am going to call him tomorrow after all the 7 packages are delivered," said Jean. Arwen nodded as Jean took off in her motorcycle and deliver the package. Arwen continues to label the packages and separate from addresses. Arwen saw one that was near her first delivery. She shivers and set that one for Jean. All the packages in that range she gives it to Jean. The more vicious parts were to Rondae. In total there were three to Rondae and four to Jean. Arwen looked happy as she also checked who has more fragile packages. Rondae has two as well as Jean. Jean came back and check the inventory and how much they have. She smiled as she is happy with the amount and the delivery that Arwen did.
"Well I be damned. She did not do a bad job if they paid her. I wonder how she did it," said Jean. Arwen went to sleep in the chairs that was meant for the customers. Jean smiled and took Arwen to the vacant room. Jean continues to check and finally went to sleep. The next day the shop opens again. Jean and Rondae picked up the packages and left to their destination. Arwen knows that she is in the store and try to get a glance at Priestess. But the first client came in.
"Here is 350 E-crystals for you," said the figure. Arwen smiled and accepted it. The figure left. Another person came in with a package it has no timing so she is happy. She checked if it was fragile and it was not. She checked the address and see who can deliver it. She set that one aside. Few hours later, Rondae came back with several of his robotic arm sparking and sizzling.
"Are you ok?" asked Arwen. Rondae looked at Arwen with a somewhat frown. Arwen make a note of that.
"I am fine. If Jean is around I am going to talk to her," said Rondae as he closed his laboratory door. Arwen sighed. Jean came back looked like someone set her on fire when she had something burning.
"Are you ok?" asked Arwen concerning for Jean. Jean had a serious look in her face.
"I am fine. Where is Rondae?" asked Jean. Arwen pointed at his laboratory. Jean walked in and shut it from behind. Arwen being curious what they are talking about. She pulled something that she placed on Priestess so she can hear the conversation.
"Most of the sectors are starting to get dangerous. It was hard enough for me to get through my delivery today. It is as if they are willing to kill me. Not to mention Model Z and I barely left my delivery with a malfunction arm," said Rondae.
"I know. I started to use my biometals for the delivery as well. The places started to get more dangerous. It won't be long until mavericks start running a muck on Earth more than any of the space colonies," said Jean.
"I have asked other space colonies if they are experiencing this problem as well," said Rondae.
"We surely need Priestess to wake up soon. However, what is her current condition," said Jean.
"I do not know. Her functions are well and yet I did several test and there is nothing wrong with her. I do not know what causing this. For all I know, that we do not know if she is going to wake up," said Rondae.
"She is made in the year 28XX, most reploids have a timer on them when they will die. It sets off during the age that is the cue," said Jean.
"No she has breathing activity and the timer has not been activated. When we find her in that capsule her timer has not run its course as if it stopped as well her entire body. This is very unusual behavior of her and I do not know what caused it. I recommend we let her be until she does awaken," said Rondae.
"Very well, I checked if we have any more packages," said Jean as she stepped out. Arwen put her little device away and looked at the door.
"Are you sure you are ok?" asked Arwen. Jean looked at Arwen in an annoyance as Arwen points to the mirror. Jean saw her clothing still have little burn marks as well as several parts of her skin looked like it was no deeper than second degree burns.
"I am going to heal myself. If there any packages for us to deliver, send Rondae to the location. He is almost done with his fixation of his arm," said Jean as she left. Arwen knocked at the laboratory. Rondae looked at Arwen.
"What is it this time," said Rondae. Arwen hold a package. Rondae grunted as he saw the address.
"Thanks, I will deliver it," said Rondae as he left the laboratory and into his motorcycle. Few hours later there was two packages. Arwen went up to Jean and knocked on the door.
"What is it?" said Jean. Arwen frowned as she knows that the packages needed to be delivered.
"There is two packages that needs to go. One to Redemption Temple and the other to Neo Arcadia Bank," said Arwen.
"Arwen you can deliver them yourself. I am too tired," said Jean as that was her excuse to get out of that job.
"Ok then I will be back," said Arwen as she left. She felt something in her pocket as she remembers she still has her E-Crystals.
"Well at least I have three pairs of the same clothes and body suit plus undergarments," thought Arwen as she did waste 60,000 Zennies on buying clothing alone.
"I wonder if they know where I hidden my extras and know where I hidden my sleep gown," thought Arwen, "I think they will not mind if I hidden them under the table in the laboratory. Then again I did had raid their refrigerator for food. All they have is frozen food. Mainly it is popped into the microwave and that is it. Most of the drinks is juice, water, or soda. Well I can't complain. I am living with them so they do not worry about me too much." Her first one was the Redemption Temple. The monk that lives there signed her some papers and gives her two card reading anklets and bracelets with the both have her ID and saying she is a transporter. Then Arwen walked into Neo Arcadian Bank.
"Welcome to Neo Arcadian Bank how may I help you," said the receptionist on the other side of the window.
"Yes I am here to deliver something to Mr. Walker," said Arwen. The receptionist took at look of her ID Card and smiled.
"Giro Express Earth Division. I did not know you work with my friend Rondae," said the Receptionist.
"Well I did not really started until today," said Arwen. The receptionist smiled as the manager came out.
"Ah Giro Express came on time as usual. Well now what we have here," said the guy. He opened it and smiled.
"Tell Rondae Fairwhether and Jean Castberry that they have 600 more E-Crystals in their account," said the guy as he walked off. Receptionist smiled.
"Since it is your first day do you like us open an account for you?" asked the receptionist. Arwen smiled.
"Sure," said Arwen. The receptionist type something and looked at Arwen with a smile.
"Ok you see the lady over there," said the receptionist. Arwen looked at the female reploid on the other side. Like the receptionist who she talk to wears a red, green, blue, and purple clothing with white body suit. Though the receptionist is a human with green eyes and blonde hair fair skin tone and looks at the age of 27. This lady that Arwen went to see has blue hair and blue green eyes like her. The lady asked few questions and then checked if there is any bank account that Arwen has. There was none. In fact there was no bank record of her. The lady smiled and started the bank account for Arwen. Arwen deposit her E-Crystals in the bank. The lady looked at her in shock. She deposit Arwen's E-Crystals and now Arwen has everything set in the Neo Arcadian Bank for her new account.
"Thank you for doing business with us Miss Weil. You started out with 30,000 Zennies. If you want to withdraw some of that Zennies I will be happy to help you out," said the receptionist. Arwen took out 10,000 Zennies and went to go shopping. Arwen went to go shoe shopping and got herself a pair of green shoes that match her clothing. She also went to buy a pair of black gloves with white fingertips and hair holders. She put the rest in the bank of her left over she did not spend, 300 Zennies left. Arwen walked into Giro Express and checked for any delivery needs to be done. Arwen got back and felt hungry and popped a complete frozen meal on the microwave. The day was really slow after the pile they ended up clearing which is good. The group has the rest of the day to themselves.
