Long time, no see. Sorry. Kinda been busy, having 10 other stories (Percy the Egyptian doesn't count.) Anyways, enjoy.
.
disclaimer...I don't own.
3 months later.
.
.
Thalia's POV.
.
.
Okay, maybe it was a bad idea to ask Percy if I could meet his mom.
.
"She-she... doesn't want others over..."
.
"PLEASE! PERCY!" I dropped to my knees dramatically, which wasn't hard 'cuz my dad IS the drama queen.
.
"No."
.
"I DON'T WANT TO GO HOME!"
.
"No-"
.
"Please?"
.
"No-"
.
"Please!?"
.
"No..."
.
"PLEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!"
.
"FINE. I'll ask..."
.
"Yeah!" I said. "I hope she likes me."
.
Percy muttered "I hope so, too."
.
.
Turns out, his mom said yes.
.
"Are you sure this is the right way?" I asked as we walked into the woods behind our school.
.
"Yeah it is. Mom doesn't want to be in the loud part of town." I nodded. I had a feeling, though, that wasn't the true reason.
.
I remembered what Luke had told me once: "There's a monster that lives in the woods at your new school. We don't want you in there."
.
"Is there-"
.
"Nope." He turned around. "You aren't scared of the... woods, are you?" His voice drops into a deadly like voice.
.
"No... Scared of Heights though." Percy giggled. I smiled, but still couldn't shake the fact that I was just throwing myself into that monsters domain, saying come and get me! I'm tasty!
.
We walked for what seemed like forever before we got to the gate. Two statues, about 5"6 and looked like twins, guarded the entry to the property. Thing is, I've never seen ones in such fine detail, down to every eyelash. But what caught my eye was... their eyes. Widened in shock, as though they were turned to stone by someone that was their friend. "Wow..."
.
"Mom does Statuary, and she let me do this." I looked at Percy.
.
"Your good, but-"
.
"I know, it's the eyes. But I do more Beauty in the faces, while my mom does more... horror."
.
Looking back on it, I should have gotten the massage. Instead, I followed, watching as the eyes of the statues seemed to follow my every move.
.
I saw what Percy meant. As we got closer to the house, Percy stopped me. "Here," he handed me...contacts?!
.
"Percy I'm not-"
.
"Just in case."
.
"Fine." I put on the contacts.
.
We continued walking. Little did I know what Percy really was.
.
.
it's short, but it works.
