Chapter 4
~Aomine's POV~
""It's alright, so, are you going to play basketball too?" asked Satsuki excitedly
I saw her smiled sadly at her and looked at me. Without meaning too, i looked sad as her. Will everything be the same as before?
"I'm sorry, but I don't play basketball anymore." she replied suddenly
Wait, did I hear that right?
"I'm sorry; I think I misheard you, Tetsu-chan. Did you just say that you don't play Basketball anymore" Asked Satsuki. We saw her nod.
"WHAT!" I shouted with Satsuki
I couldn't believe it. She loves basketball as I do. Well before, since I hate it now.
But even though I hate basketball I still kept playing. Hoping for Tetsu, to beat some sense, into me.
But I had no idea that she will stop playing.
No she can't. The only person I want to play is with her and only her and she is the only one who can defeat me.
Playing without her, only led me to realize that I was alone. That I was the one, who pushed her until she stopped playing. What have I done!
"You can't stop playing Tetsu!" I shouted at her. I saw her flinch and I immediately felt bad for shouting at her.
"I can and I just did Aomine-kun." she replied quietly not looking at me.
Sigh.
I ruffled my hair; I don't know what to do. How I make her play basketball? I know for a fact that she still wants to play but how.
"Alright, Tetchan I have a proposition for you. How about you play against my regulars, if they win, you will help us train and be a regular in our team. But if you win, then we will leave you alone. I know for a fact that you still want to play Tetchan. Your parents asked me, if I can persuade you into playing again." Stated the coach.
I saw her contemplating coach's decision.
"And if I refuse this offer?" she asked
"Then, I will keep pestering you until you agree." Coach chirped at her.
I saw her sigh.
"Alright then, but I don't have proper sport attire with me." She replied
"Ah, about that, I only brought your shoes with me, I forgot the rest, sorry." Replied the coach as he took out a pair of tennis shoes.
"It's alright. I'll finish this early and go home. I can play in my uniform. I'm wearing shorts underneath it anyway, so I won't flash anyone. So you don't have to worry Uncle." She said and took the shoes from him and put it on. She took her blazer and necktie off. She rolled the sleeves so that she can move better.
"Alright, for the first round, you will be against four of my regulars. But if they win a single point, then we can have you as our regular. I know that this is not fair but you already agreed. Besides your mother will have my head if I don't make you play again. Oh, and you will be playing against Aomine later on after your games with the four of them. If Aomine wins then you will join the basketball club. But if you win then we will leave you alone. But if it is a tie, then you can help me train them only. A favour to your favourite Uncle" Stated the coach happily.
"Wait, coach, doesn't it seems to be unfair for her. Four of us, against her. She's a girl!" asked Wakamatsu while the rest agreed with him.
"Are you a sexist senpai?" I asked irritated that they looked down upon Tetsu.
"What was that about my adorable niece being weak." gritted coach
"Ah nothing!" Replied Wakamatsu quietly. Trying to hide behind Susa.
"Don't you dare underestimate her! I'll have you know that she is the vice-captain of the Generation of Miracles. She was the one who trained them all and I only just helped. So you better be careful senpai. If our captain, heard you belittle her than you better say goodbye to your loved ones." Warned Satsuki and I nodded agreeing with her. Captain is quite scary if you get on his bad side. That includes insulting his cousin.
"Wait, she's the vice-captain of the Generation of Miracles? And she was the one who trained Aomine and the rest of the Generation of Miracles?" Asked Susa shocked
We both nodded.
"Well, we really have to have her in our team then. Can she beat Aomine?" asked Imayoshi excited.
"Oh, yes. Tetsu-chan is the only person who could beat Aomine-kun. But sometimes he can beat Tetsu-chan too. Not even our captain wants to against our vice-captain. Oh, she is called the Phantom Player too you know." Added Satsuki
They all looked shocked, because they thought that no one can beat me.
I scoffed.
"well I heard that there was 6 players in total, and that the Vice-captain is a girl. But she suddenly disappeared from the basketball world when you guys were Middle school. So she is the Vice-captain." Muttered Imayoshi
"You know, I am here and Wakamatsu-senpai, I will be teaching you a lesson on how to not belittle females." Stated Tetsu smiling sweetly.
"Yea, I agree. I will ask Tetsu-chan on how to make you training more painful… (Cough)…I mean to make you stronger." Giggled Satsuki
I sighed, thinking if I should pray for Wakamatsu to survive Tetsu's training?
Nah, he belittled her, so why should I.
I waited for the match to start. I wanted to see her play again. And I wanted to play against her too. Hoping that one day she will change her mind and play again.
